Maine Democrats Vote Down Bill Banning FGM | Trending:
"If ever there was a bipartisan cause in this country, shouldn't it be banning female genital mutilation? Well, a bill banning FGM in the state of Maine was just voted down -- along party lines.
As Townhall's Elizabeth Yore reports, "69 GOP (and 1 Dem) [voted] for the bill and 77 Dems and Independents [voted[ against an FGM bill that would criminalize female genital mutilation."
Yore continues: "The Democratic House legislators who voted against this FGM bill curiously argued that 'FGM doesn’t happen in Maine,' despite the fact that Maine is one of only eight federal pilot programs to address the exponential growth of FGM in America. If little girls in Maine are not at risk for FGM, then why is Maine receiving more than $200,000 a year from the federal government to help prevent FGM?""

Add These Voter Fraud Cases to the Growing List:
"Despite the lack of media coverage, evidence of election fraud continues to mount.
This week, The Heritage Foundation added 26 new entries to its election fraud database, bringing the searchable ledger to a total of 1,132 proven instances of election fraud.
That includes 983 cases that ended in a criminal conviction, 48 that led to civil penalties, 79 where defendants were enrolled in a diversion program, and 22 cases of official or judicial findings of fraud.
Americans should be alarmed.
These entries represent irrefutable evidence that fraud has impacted elections in 47 states, and across all levels of government.
Worse still, they are probably just the tip of America’s election fraud iceberg..."

Recovered Strzok-Page text messages delivered to congressional committees | Fox News:
"Recovered text messages exchanged by anti-Trump FBI officials Peter Strzok and Lisa Page have been delivered to at least five congressional committees, sources familiar with the situation told Fox News Thursday.
The messages were transmitted to lawmakers three months after Justice Department Inspector General Michael E. Horowitz announced that his office had recovered communications between Strzok and Page over the period between Dec. 14, 2016 and May 17, 2017.
One source told Fox News that approximately 50 pages of texts were provided to lawmakers. The source added that the messages were incomplete, garbled and in some cases incomprehensible because characters were substituted for letters."

Why America Has a Generation of ‘Little Men’ | Intellectual Takeout
Why America Has a Generation of ‘Little Men’ | Intellectual Takeout:
"There’s a lot of talk these days about the problem with young, uninspired, and allegedly lazy males.
...this problem is evident in the fact that all the young men around them seem to have “gotten really soft.”
There are many theories as to why these problems are intensifying...
... there is another that we may have overlooked.
This theory is one advanced in the 1930 book The Conquest of Happiness, written by British philosopher Bertrand Russell.
In his book, Russell argues that children need to learn to deal with boredom early in life.
As Russell saw it, too many modern parents (and by extension one could argue teachers and other adults influential in children’s lives) whip their children around from one activity to the next.
In doing this, they teach children to love pleasure and become addicted to excitement.
Instead, Russell urges parents to let their children – particularly boys – have times of “fruitful monotony,” in which they can be busy and working, but not necessarily in an activity that is exciting or stimulating:
“A boy or young man who has some serious constructive purpose will endure voluntarily a great deal of boredom if he finds that it is necessary by the way.
But constructive purposes do not easily form themselves in a boy’s mind if he is living a life of distractions and dissipations, for in that case his thoughts will always be directed towards the next pleasure rather than towards the distant achievement.”
Those who fail to follow this advice with their children, Russell notes, stand to reap serious problems in future years..."

"Caren Z. Turner, a Democratic lobbyist from Tenafly, has resigned as a commissioner from the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, after an investigation was opened into what agency officials would only describe as "profoundly disturbing conduct."
Turner's resignation allegedly involved her intervention in a recent traffic stop in connection with her daughter.
Turner apparently flashed her Port Authority badge in an effort to intercede with police officers on the scene."

Judicial Watch Statement on Justice IG Criminal Referral of former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe to U.S. Attorney - Judicial Watch
Judicial Watch Statement on Justice IG Criminal Referral of former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe to U.S. Attorney - Judicial Watch:
"The wheels of justice finally caught up with McCabe for repeatedly lying under oath to investigators. It’s high time America had some accountability for his misconduct.
Judicial Watch uncovered documents about McCabe’s conflicted handling of the Clinton investigation that should have triggered action months ago. Judicial Watch’s finds on FBI and McCabe corruption generated irresistible public pressure for accountability.
McCabe’s potential criminal acts, on James Comey’s watch, are further proof that both the Clinton email and Trump-Russia investigations were irredeemably compromised. The Clinton email investigation was a sham and the Trump-Russia investigation is an abuse. Unfortunately the cover-up continues, the Justice Department and FBI are playing shell games, and refusing to turn over McCabe text messages in Judicial Watch FOIA litigation."

The double standards of the Mueller investigation - Victor Davis Hanson
"The country is about to witness an investigatory train wreck.
In one direction, special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation train is looking for any conceivable thing that President Donald Trump's campaign team might have done wrong in 2016.
The oncoming train is slower but also larger.
It involves congressional investigations, Department of Justice referrals and inspector general's reports -- mostly focused on improper or illegal FBI and DOJ behavior during the 2016 election.
Why are the two now about to collide?...

Maine: House Democrats vote to allow female genital mutilation
Maine: House Democrats vote to allow female genital mutilation:
“By a final vote of 77-70, the House killed the FGM ban in a mostly party-line vote…
Last week House Democrats passed a toothless bill that wouldn’t actually ban FGM.”
Following swift action from Maine House Democrats on the last day of the legislative session, there will be no Female Genital Mutilation ban in the Pine Tree State.
“By a final vote of 77-70, the House killed the FGM ban in a mostly party-line vote…
Last week House Democrats passed a toothless bill that wouldn’t actually ban FGM.”
Why did they do this?
Flagrant Islamopandering, trying to get the votes of Maine’s growing Somali Muslim community. FGM is mandated in Islamic law:
“Circumcision is obligatory (for every male and female) (by cutting off the piece of skin on the glans of the penis of the male, but circumcision of the female is by cutting out the bazr ‘clitoris’ [this is called khufaadh ‘female circumcision’]).” — ‘Umdat al-Salik e4.3, translated by Mark Durie, The Third Choice, p. 64
Why is it obligatory?
Because Muhammad is held to have said so...
“Maine House Democrats Vote to Allow Female Genital Mutilation,” Maine First Media, April 19, 2018 (thanks to Creeping Sharia):
After months of pretending they wanted to stop the barbaric ritual child abuse of FGM, the Democrat caucus showed their true colors on the issue late Wednesday night.
By a final vote of 77-70, the House killed the FGM ban in a mostly party-line vote..."

Limbaugh: ‘Resistance’ is set to tear America apart:
"Something terrible is happening in America that could very well tear the country apart: The left and its “resistance” are so desperate to be rid of President Trump that they won’t ever admit defeat, and their anger will lead to more anger and unrest across the nation.
That’s according to talk-radio host Rush Limbaugh, who revealed his concerns during his Wednesday show.
Limbaugh argued that the Democratic Party he grew up with no longer exists. Rather, he said, it’s been taken over by the “radical left, which is literally resisting everything.”"

"This week, we’ll cover one of the little-noticed ways mass Third World immigration is making our country more colorful: elder rape.
Usually the vibrant cultural diversity that immigrants bring runs more along the lines of child rape, drunk driving and food stamp fraud.
But our official government policy of importing the Third World also means we’re going to have a lot more elder rape, too.
Thank you, Teddy Kennedy!
Something for the seniors.
I was recently reminded of this aspect of diversity because, a few days ago, jury selection began in the trial of illegal alien Victor Aureliano Martinez Ramirez and anchor baby Jose Fernando Villagomez for the rape, torture and murder of 64-year-old Marilyn Pharis..."

Michigan Economy Rebounds, But Medicaid Enrollment Soars [Michigan Capitol Confidential]
"The total number of Michigan residents receiving either food stamps or Medicaid assistance increased by over a half-million people between February 2009 and February 2018.
While there was a modest decline in the number of food stamp recipients, it was swamped by much larger increases in the number collecting Medicaid benefits.
...But the number getting Medicaid benefits grew by 815,714 over the same period, according to data from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.
As of February 2018, 2.6 million residents received either food stamps or Medicaid.
...The increase occurred even as Michigan was rebounding from sharp job losses during the 2000s and total employment hit a low of 3.9 million in 2010.
Since then, the trend has reversed, with 4.4 million Michigan residents having jobs in 2017, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
The rise in the number of people getting medical welfare has been largely driven by the Obamacare Medicaid expansion championed by Gov. Rick Snyder and Republican legislative leaders in 2013.

Victor Davis Hanson-Respect Unearned - American Greatness
Respect Unearned - American Greatness:
"Washington’s self-righteous establishmentarians talk of professionalism when they act unprofessionally.
They refer at length to their intellectual and professional pedigrees when they prove incompetent.
And they cite their morality and ethics when they possess neither.
And then, adding insult to injury, when the public expresses abhorrence at their behavior, they accuse critics of unprofessionalism, a lack of patriotism, or reckless demagoguery.
...But what in their past has earned them the moral high ground?
...Trust in the Obama-era directorships of the Justice Department, FBI, and, indeed, the federal courts themselves are now horses that have long ago left the proverbial judicial barn.
...The public is sorry, but once bitten, twice shy.
The Humpty Dumpty federal FISA court process and the FBI credibility shattered in 2016 will not so easily be reconfigured.
...This growing loss of confidence in a compromised justice and investigatory elite is a symptom of a larger failure of our so-called best and brightest, whether in the media, government or the university.
We need to return to an older American idea that where we went to school, who wrote us recommendations, what titles we self-reference, and which grandees we know, mean little in comparison to what we actually do each day.
Self-righteousness and self-referencing become fatal when combined with incompetence and malfeasance.
James Comey is our touchstone to a morally confused age."

Ever since, Byrd has been trapped in one of the city's most confusing bureaucratic mazes, deprived of his car and his ability to work.
He now owes the city thousands of dollars for the pleasure.
Byrd, 50, lives in Harvey, Illinois, a corrupt, crime-ridden town south of Chicago where more than 35 percent of the populace lives below the poverty line.
...Byrd had run afoul of Chicago's aggressive vehicle impound program, which seizes cars and fines owners thousands of dollars for dozens of different offenses.
The program impounds cars when the owner beats a criminal case or isn't charged with a crime in the first place.
...In total, Chicago fined motorists more than $17 million between March 2017 and March of this year for 31 different types of offenses, ranging from DUI to having illegal fireworks in a car to playing music too loud, according to data from the Chicago Administrative Hearings Department.
About $10 million of those fines were for driving on a suspended license, and more than $3 million were for drug offenses like the one that resulted in the impoundment of Byrd's car.

...It is based on analysing the warming effect of greenhouse gases and other drivers of climate change, from the mid 19th century until 2016.
It forecast that future warming will be between 30 per cent and 45 per cent lower than suggested by simulations carried out by the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel one Climate Change."

CIS: Immigrants on Welfare Tripled Since 2007 | NumbersUSA:
"A recent report by the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) reveals that the rising level of education among new immigrants in the U.S. has done very little to relieve increasing poverty levels for new arrivals.
The report indicates that in 2017 the number of new immigrants living in households on food stamps grew from 4%in 2007 to 13%t in 2017 -- three times more than a decade before.
...Additionally, the percentage of new immigrants on Medicaid grew from 6% in 2007 to 17% in 2017 -- an increase of 11 percentage points.
Though the percentage of Americans on Medicaid also saw a slight increase of 9%, the study showed that new immigrants are two times more likely to live in poverty than those born in the U.S, regardless of increased education levels among new arrivals..."
