Hillary Clinton — Women-Smearing | National Review

Hillary Clinton — Women-Smearing | National Review:

"According to the Times, in 1992 Hillary Clinton helped make the decision to hire Jack Palladino, “a private investigator known for tactics such as making surreptitious recordings and deploying attractive women to extract information.” Palladino described his task as casting aspersions on Flowers’s “character and veracity until she is destroyed beyond all recognition.”

Notably, neither the Post nor the Times delves into Juanita Broaddrick’s 1978 rape accusation against the then-Arkansas gubernatorial candidate, so they don’t mention that just two weeks after the alleged assault, Hillary and Broaddrick met at a Clinton campaign event where, according to Broaddrick, Hillary intimidated her into silence. "A great chart tweeted by technology analyst Benedict Evans of Andreessen Horowitz:

To which Evans adds: “That 5bn people have a phone & 2.5bn already have a smartphone is a huge achievement of, mostly, free markets and permissionless innovation. …
It’s been clear for a decade that access to communications transforms prospects for the poorest.
A phone *does* put food in your belly.”

Iran: We Can Mobilize Nine Million Fighters Against U.S.:
"TEL AVIV – The founder of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps warned that if America tries anything against the Islamic Republic, the regime is capable of deploying nine million troops to fight U.S. forces in a matter of days.
In a speech delivered last month in Tehran and translated this week by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI), Mohsen Rafighdoost, who was minister of the IRGC during the 1980s and the Iran-Iraq War, added that IRGC ground forces are “five times better” than the U.S. Army.
Image result for hillary smart diplomacy“Despite all the enemy media and cultural propaganda against us, if America wants to try its luck against us, [it should know that] we are completely capable of mobilizing nine million fighters” against it in under 10 days, Rafigdoost said.
“The IRGC’s ground forces are perhaps five times better than the American army,” he said.
Rafighdoost also declared that Iran’s missiles are capable of reaching Israel and expressed his wish that Israel would launch its own missile at the Islamic Republic so that it could respond by “flattening Tel Aviv.”
“We have warehouses full [of missiles] in Tehran, Zanjan [in northwest Iran] and Oshnavieh [in Western Azerbaijan Province in northwest Iran] that can strike Tel Aviv.
If only a single [Israeli] shell would strike anywhere in this country, so that we can flatten Tel Aviv.”
Rafighdoost also claimed that the leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khomeini established Hezbollah in Lebanon to promote Islamization in other countries..."

How Roman Central Planners Destroyed Their Economy

How Roman Central Planners Destroyed Their Economy | Foundation for Economic Education:
"In 449 B.C., the Roman government passed the Law of the Twelve Tables, regulating much of commercial, social, and family life.
Some of these laws were reasonable and consistent with an economy of contract and commerce; others prescribed gruesome punishments and assigned cruel powers and privileges given to some.
Other regulations fixed a maximum rate of interest on loans of approximately 8 percent.
The Roman government also had the habit of periodically forgiving all interest owed in the society; that is, it legally freed private debtors from having to pay back interest due to private creditors.
In 45 B.C., Julius Caesar discovered that almost one-third of the Roman citizenry was receiving their grain supply for free from the State.
The Roman government also set price controls on wheat.
In the fourth century, B.C., the Roman government would buy grain during periods of shortages and sell it at a price fixed far below the market price.
Image result for socialism capitalismIn 58 B.C., this was improved upon; the government gave grain away to the citizens of Rome at a zero price, that is, for free.
The result was inevitable: farmers left the land and flocked to Rome; this, of course, only made the problem worse, since with fewer farmers on the land in the territories surrounding Rome, less grain than before was being grown and brought to the market.
Also, masters were freeing their slaves and placing the financial burden for feeding them on the Roman government at that zero price.
To deal with the financial cost of these supplies of wheat, the Roman government resorted to debasement of the currency, that is, inflation.
Pricing-fixing of grain, shortages of supply, rising budgetary problems for the Roman government, monetary debasement and resulting worsening price inflation were a continual occurrence through long periods of Roman history."
...Finally, as, again, Ludwig von Mises concluded, the Roman Empire began to weaken and decay because it lacked the ideas and ideology that are necessary to build upon and safeguard a free and prosperous society: a philosophy of individual rights and free markets.
As Mises ended his own reflections on the civilizations of the ancient world:
“The marvelous civilization of antiquity perished because it did not adjust its moral code and its legal system to the requirements of the market economy.
A social order is doomed if the actions which its normal functioning requires are rejected by the standards of morality, are declared illegal by the laws of the country, and are prosecuted as criminal by the courts and the police.
The Roman Empire crumbled to dust because it lacked the spirit of [classical] liberalism and free enterprise.
The policy of interventionism and its political corollary, the Fuhrer principle, decomposed the mighty empire as they will by necessity always disintegrate and destroy any social entity.”

Experts said Arctic sea ice would melt entirely by September 2016 - they were wrong

Experts said Arctic sea ice would melt entirely by September 2016 - they were wrong: "
Dire predictions that the Arctic would be devoid of sea ice by September this year have proven to be unfounded after latest satellite images showed there is far more now than in 2012.
Scientists such as Prof Peter Wadhams, of Cambridge University, and Prof Wieslaw Maslowski, of the Naval Postgraduate School in Moderey, California, have regularly forecast the loss of ice by 2016, which has been widely reported by the BBC and other media outlets.
Prof Wadhams, a leading expert on Arctic sea ice loss, has recently published a book entitled A Farewell To Ice in which he repeats the assertion that the polar region would free of ice in the middle of this decade.
As late as this summer, he was still predicting an ice-free September.
Yet, when figures were released for the yearly minimum on September 10, they showed that there was still 1.6 million square miles of sea ice (4.14 square kilometres), which was 21 per cent more than the lowest point in 2012."

I double down and re-endorse Donald Trump for President of the United States! SEVERAL UPDATES – Da Tech Guy Blog

I double down and re-endorse Donald Trump for President of the United States! SEVERAL UPDATES – Da Tech Guy Blog:
"...Now I concede this is bad, not only in terms of what was said but what it implies.
I strongly disapprove of it as I suspect many others like me do.

And that’s why I’ve chosen this moment, Catholic Blogger that I am, to double down and re-endorse Donald Trump for President of the United States!

Why would I do this?  Quite simple, I’m not going to let myself be played.  Let me explain.
To those who have endorsed Donald Trump, the idea that he is both boastful and vulgar has been a given, it has been factored into the equation concerning him.
Furthermore his public persona has been out there for decades and he has never pretended to be anything other than what he is.

I further suspect the voting public has already factored this into their image of Trump and it is unlikely that this revelation is going to move those who haven’t made up their minds one way or the other despite the shocked faces at CNN.
Furthermore the base reasons why many of us decided to endorse Trump have not changed:
…I know that there will be times that Donald Trump will disappointment me just as I expected Mitt Romney to disappoint men on social issues and John McCain to disappoint me on immigration and George W Bush who disappointed me on spending and the bank bailouts.
But while Trump will occasionally disappoint me (when he does I’ll call him on it) I am convinced he will neither persecute me nor strip me of my rights for holding my Conservative Catholic beliefs and acting on them.
I am very sorry to say I can not make that same statement about Hillary Clinton, and I’m even sorrier to see the day when I would say this about a presidential candidate.
Nothing on that tape changes these truths.  Clinton is going to persecute me, Trump is not.
Furthermore in terms of electability there is one thing that still favors Donald Trump,  Hillary Clinton.
Hillary Clinton is the worst candidate for any office that I have seen since Martha Coakley.  There is nothing at all likable about her.  She is disliked and distrusted by the public by huge numbers, including many of those who will eventually vote for her.
Moreover the factor that I mentioned in my Trump endorsement still remains the same
I think that the sight of women and gay men being beaten by leftists because they support the presumptive GOP nominee, having it happen in full sight of police ordered to do nothing AND SEEING THOSE OFFICERS CHOOSING TO LET THEM BE BEATEN means that they can not count on the authorities to obey their oaths of office if they think doing so might cost them their jobs.
Even worse than this is the obvious question it raises: If leftists are willing to resort to violence and boast about it before an election when it might hurt their ability to persuade the people to vote for them, how much more willing will they be to violently suppress their political foes when such behavior is rewarded with electoral victory by the people?
What will that tell a populace that has already been arming itself nonstop for the last 4-6 years?
And that not even counting the basic corruption, the wholesale theft, the selling of the office of the president of the united states and the enabling of both islamic terror and our enemies in Russia, Iran, North Korea and China that will take place and the subsequent nuclear arms race that will follow.
There is also the whole business of Trump’s words vs the Clinton’s actions, my post from August really applies well here(new emphasis here).."

Why we shouldn’t be timid about bringing up abortion | TheBlaze.com

Why we shouldn’t be timid about bringing up abortion | TheBlaze.com:

"It’s usually right about there where we tend to stuff that pro-life talk track back down our throats, or don’t even consider bringing it up. After all, that’s a lost cause, right? Roe v. Wade, social consensus, political popularity—there’s no winning this debate. So what’s the point?

But here’s the thing: while being “pro-life” is a religious tenant, unborn life is also a scientific fact. And if it’s a life, then it’s protected by our Constitution. Period."

Total Frat Move | The 5 Best Weapons For Clown Defense:
"Militant clowns are sweeping the nation at an alarming rate.
What first appeared to be a huge, terrifying prank has turned into something much darker.
The creatures that haunt our nightmares have been popping up on campuses across the nation, and we’re no longer standing for it.
2eb74d483221c09d608e4d3b6aad7fb1Earlier this week, fraternity men at TCU decided to brandish their irons and go out to find these menaces.
Penn State and Oregon State have also gone hunting for these creatures in pancake makeup.
While a golf club is a highly effective means of personal defense (shout out Tommy Vercetti), it’s not the only one.
Here are some items you might have sprinkled around your residence in case of a clown emergency.
1. Hatchets, Mauls, or Tomahawks...
2. Molotov Cocktails...
3. Pledge Paddles...
4. Loose Stand Your Ground Laws...
5. Insane Clown Posse Music...
...Happy hunting, gentlemen.
Let’s show these painted freaks that fear never triumphs when pitted against a red-blooded American’s fighting spirit.
Next time one of these assholes is spotted, show them who’s boss.
Being a clown is a choice. Getting murked for it just comes with the territory.."

BROADDRICK: Hillary's actions speak louder than Trump's words

BROADDRICK: Hillary's actions speak louder than Trump's words - The American MirrorThe American Mirror:
"Bill Clinton rape accuser Juanita Broaddrick is weighing in on Donald Trump’s controversial comments from 2005 that are mysteriously resurfacing just hours before the second debate and weeks before the general election.
“How many times must it be said,” she tweeted Saturday morning.
“Actions speak louder than words. (Donald Trump) said bad things! (Hillary Clinton) threatened me after (Bill Clinton) raped me.”
How many times must it be said? Actions speak louder than words. DT said bad things!HRC threatened me after BC raped me.
Broaddrick’s dose of perspective comes as the mainstream media has been silent and uninterested in the ongoing accusations against Bill Clinton and Hillary’s attempts to silence his accusers.
But in the last 24 hours, they’ve reported ad nauseam about Trump’s 2005 locker room talk caught on a hot mic.
Last Friday night, Trump apologized for his banter with “Access Hollywood” host Billy Bush from a decade ago.
“I said it. I was wrong and I apologize,” Trump says in his statement.
To date, neither Bill nor Hillary Clinton have apologized to Broaddrick.
She has accused then-Arkansas Attorney General Bill Clinton of raping her in a Little Rock hotel room in 1978. She says Hillary later confronted her in an attempt to intimidate and silence her.
UPDATE: Paula Jones weighed in as well, writing on Facebook, “I don’t recall that Bill or Hillary has ever apologized to me and Juanita Broaddrick or Kathleen Willey yet Bill was getting his wee wee sucked under the Oval Office desk and still won a second term, UNBELIEVABLE!

Broaddrick commented, “You go girl.”
