The Media That Cried Wolf
The Media That Cried Wolf:
"In a week in which CNN cried wolf when there was no wolf by falsely condemning Trump for poor fish-feeding habits, is it surprising that decades-old charges of sexual impropriety being leveled against Judge Roy Moore aren’t being unquestioningly accepted by voters?
We can all remember a number of times when the media has proclaimed a wolf was present when we later discovered they were wrong.
There is Global Warming… err, Climate Change where we were told that by now the world would be doomed but somehow that hasn’t happened.
We were told that the black man shot in Ferguson was holding his hands up to surrender.
In the last century the media informed us that overpopulation would lead to mass starvation. Of course, that was bogus."

"A copy of the conference agenda was leaked to the Washington Free Beacon who reported on it today.
Pelosi will headline the event along with George Soros.
But if you skim through the weekend agenda two things are clear:
— Democrats want to spread their far left California values of open borders, Socialism and identity politics across the US
— And white men are no longer valued or welcome in today’s Democrat Party.
...The first page of the conference agenda, which was obtained by the Washington Free Beacon and can be viewed in its entirety below, lays out “participation guidelines,” explaining that the Democracy Alliance is a “safe place” for donors and activists to meet. Guests are instructed not to share members’ names with the press and not to post to any social media sites, to contact Democracy Alliance if “the media or a blogger” contacts them, and to “refrain from leaving sensitive materials out where others may find them.”This latter directive was ignored.
Here is a linked copy of the agenda.

Venezuela just defaulted, moving deeper into crisis - Nov. 14, 2017
"Venezuela, a nation spiraling into a humanitarian crisis, has missed a debt payment.
It could soon face grim consequences.
The South American country defaulted on its debt, according to a statement issued Monday night by S&P Global Ratings.
The agency said the 30-day grace period had expired for a payment that was due in October.
A debt default risks setting off a dangerous series of events that could exacerbate Venezuela's food and medical shortages.
If enough holders of a particular bond demand full and immediate repayment, it can prompt investors across all Venezuelan bonds to demand the same thing.
Since Venezuela doesn't have the money to pay all its bondholders right now, investors would then be entitled to seize the country's assets -- primarily barrels of oil -- outside its borders.
Venezuela has no other meaningful income other than the oil it sells abroad.
The government, meanwhile, has failed for years to ship in enough food and medicine for its citizens. As a result, Venezuelans are waiting hours in line to buy food and dying in hospitals that lack basic resources.
If investors seize the country's oil shipments, the food and medical shortages would worsen quickly.
"Then it's pandemonium," says Fernando Freijedo, an analyst at the Economist Intelligence Unit, a research firm.
"The humanitarian crisis is already pretty dire ... it boggles the mind what could happen next."...

Trump ends the War on Fossil Fuels and we all come out winners | Fox News:
"For eight long years, President Obama waged a relentless war on the fossil fuels that provide us with the abundant, affordable and efficient energy that makes modern American life possible. One of President Trump’s greatest accomplishments has been to end that ill-advised war, and now his actions are bringing about a peace dividend that will benefit us all.
By terminating President Obama’s Climate Action Plan, Clean Power Plan, biased climate research and other programs, as well as withdrawing from the Paris Climate Agreement, President Trump will save the American people billions of dollars."

WATCH: Democrats Applauded Accused Rapist Bill Clinton After His Impeachment | Daily Wire:
"Immediately following his impeachment on December 19, 1998, Democrats stood behind disgraced former President Bill Clinton and applauded him despite his having been charged under articles of impeachment by the House of Representatives for obstruction of justice and lying under oath to a federal grand jury.
Clinton, accused of committing sexual crimes against multiple women, lied about having an inappropriate sexual relationship with White House intern Monica Lewinsky.
Despite this, Democrats applauded Clinton after his impeachment and portrayed him as the victim of “politics of personal destruction.”"

• Chart: The immense financial pressure on NHS nurses | Statista
"A large new survey by the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) has shed light on the dire situation currently faced by NHS nursing staff.

As a result of this, budget cuts and workload changes, 37 percent of nurses say that they are currently looking for a new job.
Due to the financial pressures, almost a quarter of nurses have taken on additional paid work just to help make ends meet.
A worrying 40 percent have had to borrow money from family, friends, or a financial institution.

Jeff Sessions continues to prove he’s Trump’s biggest mistake | New York Post
Jeff Sessions continues to prove he’s Trump’s biggest mistake | New York Post
"Jeff Sessions is a man in search of a banana peel.
When he can’t find one to step on, he supplies his own.
Sessions is not a bad man, but he is a bad attorney general, as he demonstrated again Tuesday.
By writing to Republicans in Congress just hours before he was scheduled to testify that he was open to appointing a special prosecutor to examine former FBI Director James Comey’s handling of Hillary Clinton’s email case and the notorious Uranium One deal, Sessions primed the pump for a really big show.
Democrats arrived furious and Republicans gleefully expected an aha moment.
Both came away unsatisfied and unhappy.
...His faulty judgment has become a calling card, which is why I’ve argued that appointing Sessions was Trump’s biggest personnel mistake; yesterday’s performance did nothing to change my view.
There’s also a new bonus reason:
Had Sessions stayed as a senator from Alabama, Roy Moore’s dirty history would have remained a secret instead of a national scandal that could help flip Senate control.
Sessions’ decision to recuse himself from anything related to the 2016 campaign, then tell Trump, led to the enormous cloud over the White House that has distorted the first year of the new presidency.
Consider the alternative.
Imagine that Robert Mueller were still in private law practice, and there were no open-ended investigation of everybody connected to the Trump campaign..."

"The Justice Department on Wednesday warned 29 jurisdictions, including three states, they might have to pay back millions of dollars in federal public safety grants received last year because their local policies are suspected of violating federal immigration law.
The warnings are the broadest yet issued by the Justice Department to so-called sanctuary cities believed to be hampering cooperation between local law enforcement and immigration authorities. The jurisdictions put on notice include the states of Illinois, Vermont and Oregon, as well as cities such as D.C., Denver, Los Angeles and San Francisco."
