Tim Getty I've seen comment comparing Revenue to Profits. Okay. "IF" Corporations are "people"...then I want the same breaks. In other words, my revenue/income minus MY operating expenses-like insurance,utilities, food, transportation, medical expenses...and like. It's only fair and correct, right????

Tommy Sipper We already knew that corporations take advantage of every tax loophole possible, but, if these numbers are even close to accurate, then we need to DEMAND that Donny the conman and his fellow billionaires start paying their fair share!! They are the LAST people we should be giving MORE tax breaks to!!!

Michael Maybee This is bull shit , when the average American working class people pay 30 % why can't these corporations pay a fair share ? a little bit more taxes for the corporations and less taxes for the working class would put more money into the system and the economy would improve and take some of the tax breaks away from the top 1% and we could all have medical coverage.

Collin Zee You're not taxed on revenue. You're taxed on profit. In 2016, Walmart had a net income of 21.6 billion. They paid 6.5 billion in taxes. They were taxed for 30.3% of their profits. Please people, take some accounting classes.

Ruth McCusker Meanwhile they say the solution is to "broaden the base". In tax reform lingo, "broadening the base" is code for raising taxes on the poor and middle-class. Weasel words that the victim-proponents cannot grasp.

"Mainstream journalists are notoriously bad at covering gun stories..
But I don’t think we’ve ever seen a blunder this spectacularly, hilariously, inexcusably moronic.

The folks at Bearing Arms have highlighted the following video clip, from a local news report by Ohio’s NBC 4. 

It purports to showcase the destructive power of the AR-15, the rifle used by both the Texas church murderer and the hero who prevented him from killing anyone else, with a video clip of the gun being fired at a watermelon.

That’s quite an explosion, and I’m sure it left an impression on more than a few viewers … that is, the ones who missed an obvious problem with the narrative.

MUSKEGON, MI - Muskegon Public Schools' board president inserted race into a conversation about special education, insinuating that another board member couldn't relate because he's not African American. 

Board member Zachery Anderson suggested at a recent board meeting that the district should provide more support to teachers when it comes to special education and behavioral issues. 

The board president said the issue is a generational one that the board has little control over at the meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 14. 

"You ain't got no control over people and how they raise their kids," board President Louis Churchwell told Anderson. 

"You ain't got no control over what's black, cause you're not black. ... You wake up and realize that."  

Churchwell, who works for Muskegon County Family Court, said that degrees "don't mean anything." 

"I'm from poverty, I'm black and I hold that degree, so everything you want to know about that, I've lived it," he said..."
