INSTEAD, YOU GET A BLOG POST.
But I was pondering the weird behavior of people like Harvey Weinstein and Charlie Rose.
This isn’t just about using the power of your position to get women.
Instead, there was this weird stuff about walking around naked or in a bathrobe and expecting women to be impressed.
So my thought: Instead of exercising traditionally male power, they were trying to exercise the traditionally female power of being desirable and desired.
Maybe it’s because they were in industries where that power is especially prominent, but pathetically, they were acting like they hoped someone would find them . . . beautiful.-Posted by Glenn Reynolds at 8:50 am

"...THE PARALLEL SOCIETY
...What we are witnessing and financing with public dollars is a closed, parallel society in America.
...The trade-off, then, is more refugees, in exchange for new Democratic voters.
But what is new this time around, my fellow Americans, is that, in the New Normal, taxpaying Americans pay an exorbitant price in the bargain, in public finance, cultural identity, and quality of life.
Or, as our friend Ann Corcoran often reminds us, “changing America by changing its people.”...

"...THE PARALLEL SOCIETY
...The American people are constantly told that refugee resettlement serves to fill the labor needs that go unmet, due to low birth rates, an aging population, and the unwillingness of Americans to perform certain kinds of menial labor.
How does this mantra square with the data reported by federal and state government?
...Now, this is where things get interesting.
If 1,500 Somalis are eligible for employment and, of these, 400 are employed in the “livestock” sector, then at least 1,100 Somalis engaged in employment of some other kind have yet to be accounted for.
...The lion’s share of the 1,100 Somali workers who, so far, are unaccounted for are likely working in support capacities for other Somalis: translation services for schools, law enforcement, health care, health and human services, refugee resettlement agencies, and transporting fellow Somalis to locations where they partake of these services. ...What we are witnessing and financing with public dollars is a closed, parallel society in America.

US troops killed in plane crashes skyrockets in 2017 | Fox News
"Even before the Navy cargo plane crash Wednesday, the number of U.S. troops killed in plane crashes had skyrocketed this year along with the total number of crashes overall compared to this point a year ago, a Fox News investigation has uncovered.
So far this year, there have been 22 U.S. military non-combat plane crashes flying routine operations. That’s up 38 percent from this time last year.
The number of American troops killed in these plane crashes has more than doubled.

...Many on Capitol Hill say years of budget cuts are taking a toll.
The Navy’s crisis in aviation extends into its premier strike aircraft as well.
The head of naval aviation says only half the Navy’s 542 F-18 Super Hornet jets can fly right now and only 31 percent are fully mission capable and ready to “fight tonight.”
It’s even worse for the Marine Corps where roughly 70 percent of its fleet of older model F-18 Hornets can’t fly.
In the Air Force, only half of the bomber fleet of B-1 and B-2 bombers can fly, forcing airmen to scrounge for spare parts in places in a remote desert scrapheap known as “The Boneyard.”...

How a House Dem accused of drunken shenanigans revealed another secret 'hush fund' - Washington Times:
"Rep. Raul M. Grijalva quietly arranged a “severance package” in 2015 for one of his top staffers who threatened a lawsuit claiming the Arizona Democrat was frequently drunk and created a hostile workplace environment, revealing yet another way that lawmakers can use taxpayer dollars to hide their misbehavior on Capitol Hill.
While the Office of Compliance has been the focus of outrage on Capitol Hill for hush-money payouts in sexual harassment cases, the Grijalva payout points to another office that lawmakers can use to sweep accusations under the rug with taxpayer-funded settlements negotiated by the House Employment Counsel, which acts as the attorney for all House offices."

Theology prof writes book connecting Christianity to racism
Theology prof writes book connecting Christianity to racism:
"Fordham University last week touted a new book that examines the connection between “Christianity, racism, and religious diversity in America.”
Written by Fordham professor of Theology Jeannine Hill Fletcher, the work “proposes strategies that will help foster racial healing in America, the first of which is to demand of white Christians that they accept their responsibility for racist policies and structural discrimination in America.”
"The ideology of Christian supremacy was actually a piece that informed legislation that dispossessed native people."
The author told Fordham News that her studies have led her to realize that “the ideology of Christian supremacy was actually a piece that informed legislation that dispossessed native people.”
To support her position, Hill Fletcher references the Doctrine of Discovery: a belief that Christian settlers had the right to claim the land of non-Christians, but not land inhabited by fellow Christians. The professor argues that the doctrine’s historical use to deny Native Americans’ right to land does not only prove the existence of religious intolerance, but also of racism..."

The American Way
By Tammy Derouin
In my little corner of the world, I do
not witness the behavior which the main stream media likes to portray
as lurking everywhere in our society. Since all of these accusations
of rampant racism, sexism, isms and phobias of all shapes and sizes
began to inundate the population, I've paid close attention to my
surroundings. I've watched and I've listened and then I've wondered,
why do so many people still give the main stream media the time of
day? I'm not saying it doesn't happen but I feel the Left has
attempted to create a crisis. And as we know, the Left loves a
crisis because it provides opportunities that wouldn't ordinarily
exist.
My experience has been that most people
are good. Most people will offer to help regardless of race, sex or
any type of difference. Americans are known for their generosity and
kindness. Even when things get crazy in our own little worlds, and
especially when disaster strikes, for the most part, people help one
another, unconditionally. That's the America I know, that's the
American way......
College Campuses And The Origins Of The New Totalitarianism | Daily Wire
College Campuses And The Origins Of The New Totalitarianism | Daily Wire:
"...For the precious few who will attempt to wade through Arendt’s subtle and difficult concepts, not to mention sentences that seem to go on forever, it will become obvious that ground zero of totalitarianism’s resurgence...the college campus.
Whereas the essence of democracy, as Tocqueville so brilliantly notes, is compromise and conciliation, the essence of totalitarianism is that truth is whatever the movement says it is.
Different ideas are to be quashed.
The individual who believes that politics is a series of negotiations or deal making is hardly a totalitarian.
By contrast, the diversity administrator who organizes a bunch of pubescent thugs who have been inculcated in the belief that truth is that which advances the interests of their identity and those who share it, is a totalitarian.
He or she is no different from those who mobilized Hitler’s Brownshirts to shut down intellectuals whose ideas were not sanctioned by the Nazi movement..."

Accountability? Nothing Appears Closer To Eternal Than A Failed Detroit School [Michigan Capitol Confidential]
Accountability? Nothing Appears Closer To Eternal Than A Failed Detroit School [Michigan Capitol Confidential]:
"Watch what they do, not what they say — or even what the law requires
The board of the Detroit public school district held a meeting Nov. 20 to discuss a Senate-passed bill that would require intermediate school districts to share with public charter schools some of the property tax revenue they may receive in the future from new millage requests.
Among other things, the information pack given to school board members for the meeting included details about state efforts to make districts more accountable for the academic progress of their students.
“Michigan schools are subject to several accountability systems,” the packet stated.
It named some, including an annual list that identifies the worst schools in the state.
ForTheRecord says: It’s ironic that Detroit school administrators would cite the state’s worst-school list as an example of accountability.
The reason is simple:
The state of Michigan has never shut down a conventional public school for poor academic performance, including any of the schools at the bottom of the performance list..."

Against Net Neutrality – American Greatness:
"After numerous attempts at congressional action failed to result in new laws, the Federal Communications Commission in 2015 adopted net neutrality rules in under the leadership of Obama appointee Tom Wheeler. Now, under chairman Ajit Pai—a Trump appointee—net neutrality is at risk, as its legal underpinnings have come under greater scrutiny.
But should the end of “net neutrality” worry anyone?"

Russian Diplomat's Warning: 'Apocalyptic Scenario' Likely On Korean Peninsula:
"The tense situation over North Korea’s nuclear program has one top Russian diplomat sounding the alarm.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Morgulov said that the world can no longer turn a “blind eye” to alarming speed with which North Korea is advancing their weapons of mass destruction.
North Korea’s nuclear program could evolve into an “apocalyptic” scenario, Morgulov said. ...Correspondingly, China recently shut down the main road connecting it with North Korea, and the state-owned airline Air China suspended flights from Beijing to the reclusive nation.
Morgulov, whose nation, Russia, shares a border with North Korea, appears to be concerned about the rogue country’s handling of weapons of mass destruction..."

"Somewhere in a bug-proofed, swanky lawyer’s office, President Donald Donald Trump’s sexual harassment character assassinator is being groomed and rehearsed.
Mentors are prompting her how to state her case to the mainstream media; how to cry with enough pathos to be credible.
Patriots, they’re coming soon to take down your president."
The mentors are counting on people to be too busy preparing for Christmas 2017 to be aware of what lies ahead.
Their MSM pals are pushing an almost daily meme that it’s now been discovered that rich and powerful men in Hollywood, politics and business are helplessly addicted to inappropriate sexual behavior, counting on it not being too much of a shock when the president is openly accused of having long been among them.
...After the 16 sexual harassment Trump accusers who vaporized into thin air during the 2016 presidential election campaign and the spittle-flecked charges of media darling Hillary Clinton, Billy Baldwin was first off the mark linking Trump to inappropriate sexual behavior, by suddenly remembering 20 years on an incident involving Trump and his wife—on Thanksgiving morning.
...Thanksgiving is over and Christmas is coming.
But so is the howling wolf pack determined to impeach Trump by unprovable sexual harassment allegations.Patriots, they’re coming soon to take down your president."

Judicial Watch Obtains Records from EPA Showing Obama Agency’s Illegal Use of Social Media Platform for Propaganda - Judicial Watch:
"(Washington, DC) — Judicial Watch obtained 900-pages of documents from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) which reveal the agency’s use of the mass-sharing Thunderclap social media platform to covertly promote its policies in violation of federal law.
The documents show that EPA staffers, via the Thunderclap platform, recruited outside groups to lobby in support of the Clean Water Rule or “Waters of the United States.” Thunderclap shares member messages across multiple Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr accounts simultaneously.
Federal law prohibits agencies from engaging in propaganda, which is defined as covert activity intended to influence the American public. "
