Giving a Trump victory its due: Media ignores his ISIS success, mocks him - Washington Times

Giving a Trump victory its due: Media ignores his ISIS success, mocks him - Washington Times:

Image result for flickr commons images President Trump Inaguration"What was actually happening? In addition to ISIS being crushed, a small sampling of the president’s accomplishment include the economy continuing to soar, 70 record stock market closes, 2.2 million new jobs since the election, the Hispanic unemployment rate dropping to a historic low 4.7 percent, tax cuts and the start of tax reform, and the slashing of job-killing and freedom suppressing regulations.
Mr. Trump doesn’t “cause controversies,” the media does. Another Trump accomplishment? Exposing how far a corrupt media will go in an attempt to nullify an election. The good news is Mr. Trump, and his entire family, survived a year of media malpractice meant to destroy them. But that doesn’t need to be reported, we already know."

A deafening media silence on the Obama-Hezbollah scandal | New York Post

A deafening media silence on the Obama-Hezbollah scandal | New York Post:
"Politico published a jaw-dropping, meticulously sourced investigative piece this week detailing how the Obama administration had secretly undermined US law enforcement agency efforts to shut down an international drug-trafficking ring run by the terror group Hezbollah.
Image result for media blackoutThe effort was part of a wider push by the administration to placate Iran and ensure the signing of the nuclear deal.
Now swap out “Trump” for “Obama” and “Russia” for “Iran” and imagine the eruption these revelations would generate.
Because, by any conceivable journalistic standard, this scandal should’ve triggered widespread coverage and been plastered on front pages across the country.
By any historic standard, the scandal should elicit outrage regarding the corrosion of governing norms from pundits and editorial boards.
Yet, as it turns out, there’s an exceptionally good chance most of your neighbors and colleagues haven’t heard anything about it..."

Nope, PM2.5 from forest fires doesn’t kill anyone, either

Lazy or lyin’ researchers and the WaPo’s Chris Mooney get it wrong (again).
JunkScience readers already know from “Scare Pollution” and our California study that PM2.5 in outdoor air kills no one.
Nevertheless, foolish researchers — Maria Val Martin (University of Sheffield)...presented this nonsense at the 2017 American Geophysical Union Fall Meeting.
As before, “Scare Pollution,” our California study and much other work and reality debunks the notion that PM2.5 kills anyone under any conditions.
Not surprisingly, the answer is, NO!
The only thing PM2.5 kills is junk scientist credibility."

WATCH: Liberals LOVE The Republican Tax Plan — If They Believe It's 'The Bernie Tax Plan' | Daily Wire:

"Conservative commentator Ami Horowitz recently took to the streets of the "liberal Mecca" East Village to see how die-hard progressives felt about the Republican tax reform bill that Democrats have literally declared "the end of the world." Horowitz asked several passersby for their reaction to specific measures in the bill and, shockingly, found they they uniformly loved it — well, at least when presented as the "Bernie" tax plan."

The 'Big Lie' Starts to Crumble as Feds Release Immigrant Crime Data - Scott Morefield

The 'Big Lie' Starts to Crumble as Feds Release Immigrant Crime Data - Scott Morefield
“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it,” wrote Nazi propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels of the concept originally coined by his boss, Adolph Hitler.
Today, few lies have been as oft repeated and as consistently maintained by liberals and even conservative quislings on the right as that of the “noble immigrant,” a profile of someone better in all respects than your average native-born American - better at working hard, better at not straining social services and, most importantly, better at obeying the law.
...Hard working, independent, law-abiding, diverse, and a bonus for helping a friend in need - what’s not to love, right?
...“Several studies, over many years, have concluded that immigrants are less likely to commit crimes than people born in the United States.
...And yet, none of these so-called studies seemed to be able to cite actual government statistics. Why?
According to Malia Zimmerman at Fox News, “the government agencies that crunch crime numbers are utterly unable — or unwilling — to pinpoint for the public how many illegal immigrants are arrested within U.S. borders each year.”
...Further, when it comes to federal crime convictions, non-citizens were responsible for 22 percent of all murder, 18 percent of fraud, 33 percent of money laundering, 29 percent of drug trafficking, and 72 percent of all drug possession convictions, according to a graphic presented by Fox News host Tucker Carlson on his Thursday evening show..."

How to Determine If You Should Talk About Politics in Public - Dilbert Blog

How to Determine If You Should Talk About Politics in Public - Dilbert Blog
"When candidate Trump first set about the job of redefining politics (and reality) back in 2015, people had lots of predictions about how things would turn out.
One year isn’t long enough to know everything we need to know about his presidency, but it’s long enough to to check some of our predictions.
As a public service, I put together a list of predictions that various people made about Trump that you can use to evaluate your own predictive powers.
Count the number of items on the list that you once predicted would be true.
I’ll tell you how to evaluate your score at the end.
Did you once believe…

  • Trump will never win the GOP nomination.
  • Trump will never win the presidency.
  • Stocks will drop if Trump is elected.
  • President Trump will deport ten million illegal immigrants.
  • Trump will be gone (impeached, jailed, or quit) by end of 2017.
  • Trump’s immigration ban on several Muslim countries will be found unconstitutional.
  • Trump colluded with Russia, and that’s a crime.
  • Trump obstructed justice (a crime) by firing Comey.
  • Trump’s skills as a “con man” might get him elected but it won’t transfer into doing the job of president.
  • Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel will cause huge problems.
  • Trump’s tweeting will cause huge problems.
  • GOP will never embrace Trump.
  • Trump will get nothing important done.
  • Trump will not work effectively with leaders of other countries.
  • GOP senators will vote against GOP priorities because of President Trump’s mean tweets.
  • Trump will not nominate qualified judges to the Supreme Court.
  • Trump is incompetent.
  • Presidential approval polls are a good predictor of how a president will perform.
  • The military won’t follow Trump’s orders.
  • GDP will never stay above 3%.

— end —
I didn’t get any of those predictions wrong.
But if you got 15 or more wrong, you might want to consider never saying anything about politics out loud again for the rest of your life.
Just a suggestion..."
