We Told You! UK Hospitals Announce Failure of Socialized Medicine...:
"For years, proponents of nationalized medicine have denied that universal healthcare means longer waits. A 2013 report from the Commonwealth Fund claimed Americans have to wait longer to get a doctor’s appointment than people in countries with socialized medicine, conveniently saying nothing about treatment that comes after the useless “doctor’s appointment.”
But the strain that UK hospitals are now under, and the “solution” of putting operations on hold, tells a different story."

The Trump administration is authoritarian, deeply corrupt, and replete with pathological liars. It is directly linked to the so-called “alt-right” – re-branded fascists and Nazis – including those who serve in the White House.White supremacists, misogynists, climate deniers, xenophobes, Islamophobes, and militarists dominate the administration. Gen. Kelly’s recent attempt to revise Civil War history should dispel any illusions the public can rely on “rational generals” to restrain 45.A mass base intoxicated with irrationality, lies, and conspiracy theories supports Trump and the GOP. They are being manipulated by an extensive right-wing communications infrastructure, including Fox News, Breitbart, Infowars, hate-talk radio, the NRA, right-wing Evangelicals, and think-tanks. Taken together, this has the potential to become a full-blown fascist movement. Are we reaching a point of no return?
...This is Trump Derangement Syndrome on steroids..."

"Before progressives start celebrating the dissolution of the Election Integrity Commission, they had better figure out what lies ahead. President Trump announced late yesterday that the Election Integrity Commission headed by Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach will be dissolved.
...If the left thinks that they are home free, and that this announcement is a victory, they had better remember whom they are dealing with: a man who is accustomed to encountering obstacles and overcoming them – one way or another. Kris Kobach and Donald Trump are in sync.
Kobach characterized the decision to dissolve the bipartisan group as a "tactical change" and argued DHS can pursue an investigation of election fraud more quickly and efficiently.
Kobach expanded on this with Breitbart:
“What’s happening is a tactical shift where the mission of the commission is being handed off to Homeland Security without the stonewalling by Democrats,” Kobach told Breitbart News.“I’ll be working closely with the White House and DHS to ensure the investigations continue,” Kobach continued.
...Thus far, the voter fraud commission has revealed:
- 938 convictions for voter fraud since the year 2000
- Fewer than 1 in 100 cases ends in a conviction
- In Kansas, alone, there are 127 known cases of non-citizen aliens registering to vote
- In 21 states, there were 8,471 cases of double voting discovered
The commission will now more soundly operate without hold-ups in courts, lawsuits, and political battles, a move that Kobach says Democrats brought onto themselves.

John Fund: Will the media ask questions about an FBI cover-up or become complicit in it? | Fox News:
"We may be about to learn if the mainstream media can walk and cover two important but related stories at the same time.
For over a year the media have breathlessly followed every turn in the probes of Russia’s attempts to influence the 2016 presidential election, along with any possible collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign.
But now a new story is about to bust open, involving Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif., the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee.
Nunes sent a letter Thursday to the Justice Department demanding compliance by Wednesday with the subpoenas his committee issued for information on how the department and its FBI subsidiary have handled the Russia probe.
If the Justice Department stonewalls, the House could launch contempt proceedings or even vote to declassify and release some of the documents.
Nunes didn’t mince words in his letter.
Noting the four months of stonewalling he’s gotten, he concluded that “at this point it seems the DOJ (Justice Department) and FBI need to be investigating themselves.”
...In other words, is there a cover-up going on?...

Venezuela: Maduro Raises Minimum Wage by 40 Percent to $2 a Month
Venezuela: Maduro Raises Minimum Wage by 40 Percent to $2 a Month:
"Venezuela’s socialist dictator Nicolás Maduro has raised his country’s minimum wage by a further 40 percent, meaning public sector employees will now earn around two dollars a month in his seventh and final major hike of 2017.
“We have good news regarding the protection and stability of all the workers,” said Maduro in a televised address. “I am announcing the rise of the national minimum wage by 40 percent for all our doctors and public sector workers.”
The move means that working Venezuelans will now receive a basic salary of 248,510 bolivares, equivalent to $2.02 a month. On top of that, they are also handed an increased food ticket worth 549,000 bolivares worth $4.46, meaning their total income amounts to around $6.48."

The View of the Blinkered – American Greatness:
"Sites like Vox, the Daily Beast, and the Weekly Standard have long praised the dossiers of Robert Mueller’s legal investigative team.
The essays prove mostly the same.
They often employ the same superlative nomenclature: “all-stars,” “dream-team,” “army,” and “professionals.”...
Yet the Mueller legal team’s dossiers also turn out predictably similar.
We are supposed to be awed by past employment in a blue-chip Washington or New York law firm—all the better if the same as Robert Mueller’s own.
Ivy League law school degrees supposedly signal competence.
Power couple bumper stickers (He is married to this judge, or she is wedded to that federal attorney) offer added insurance of excellence...
But lost in all the gentry hyperbole are the two criteria, at this juncture and at this age, that matter far more than post-LSAT credentialing:

But lost in all the gentry hyperbole are the two criteria, at this juncture and at this age, that matter far more than post-LSAT credentialing:
- Does Mueller’s team display a diversity of legal training and experience—which would insulate it from charges of New York-Washington corridor blindness?
- Is his team also immune from charges that it appears politically slanted?
A really good read.

The initial statistic cited in the title of that DOJ press release shows that there is a truly significant distinction to be drawn between aliens who are lawfully present in the United States and aliens who are illegally present in the United States, either because they have entered the United States illegally or they have violated the terms of admission after entering the United States via the inspections procedure at ports of entry..."

Trump Is The Anti-Obama When It Comes To Standing Up To Terrorist-Supporting Iran | Stock News & Stock Market Analysis - IBD:
"Green Revolution: Average Iranians have once again taken to the streets to protest the brutal, incompetent dictatorship of the fundamentalist mullahs that rule the country.
We can only hope these demonstrations turn out better than they did in 2009.
The so-called "Green Movement," also known as the "Persian Spring," brought people into the streets of Tehran, Qom and other major Iranian cities in the summer of 2009, protesting at first the regime's fraudulent election and corrupt management of the economy, which had brought inflation, unemployment and shortages to a country that should be one of the world's wealthiest.
The U.S. government and the liberal media were mute as Iran brutally crushed the Green Revolution.
Unfortunately, the Iranian demonstrators who poured into the streets mistakenly thought the U.S. and its new slick-talking leader would stand up for them.
But even as at least 30 people were murdered by the government and untold hundreds of others were imprisoned and tortured, President Obama and his former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton shut their mouths and sat on their hands.
...Because Trump's policy, unlike Obama's, openly supports the people risking their lives on the streets who are fed up with their nation's misrule..."
