"Before progressives start celebrating the dissolution of the Election Integrity Commission, they had better figure out what lies ahead.  President Trump announced late yesterday that the Election Integrity Commission headed by Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach will be dissolved.

...If the left thinks that they are home free, and that this announcement is a victory, they had better remember whom they are dealing with: a man who is accustomed to encountering obstacles and overcoming them – one way or another.  Kris Kobach and Donald Trump are in sync.

Kobach characterized the decision to dissolve the bipartisan group as a "tactical change" and argued DHS can pursue an investigation of election fraud more quickly and efficiently.

Kobach expanded on this with Breitbart:

 “What’s happening is a tactical shift where the mission of the commission is being handed off to Homeland Security without the stonewalling by Democrats,” Kobach told Breitbart News.

“I’ll be working closely with the White House and DHS to ensure the investigations continue,” Kobach continued.

...Thus far, the voter fraud commission has revealed:

• 938 convictions for voter fraud since the year 2000
• Fewer than 1 in 100 cases ends in a conviction
• In Kansas, alone, there are 127 known cases of non-citizen aliens registering to vote
• In 21 states, there were 8,471 cases of double voting discovered

The commission will now more soundly operate without hold-ups in courts, lawsuits, and political battles, a move that Kobach says Democrats brought onto themselves.

"We may be about to learn if the mainstream media can walk and cover two important but related stories at the same time.
For over a year the media have breathlessly followed every turn in the probes of Russia’s attempts to influence the 2016 presidential election, along with any possible collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign.
But now a new story is about to bust open, involving Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif., the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee. 
Nunes sent a letter Thursday to the Justice Department demanding compliance by Wednesday with the subpoenas his committee issued for information on how the department and its FBI subsidiary have handled the Russia probe.
If the Justice Department stonewalls, the House could launch contempt proceedings or even vote to declassify and release some of the documents.
Nunes didn’t mince words in his letter. 
Noting the four months of stonewalling he’s gotten, he concluded that “at this point it seems the DOJ (Justice Department) and FBI need to be investigating themselves.”

"Venezuela’s socialist dictator Nicolás Maduro has raised his country’s minimum wage by a further 40 percent, meaning public sector employees will now earn around two dollars a month in his seventh and final major hike of 2017.
“We have good news regarding the protection and stability of all the workers,” said Maduro in a televised address. “I am announcing the rise of the national minimum wage by 40 percent for all our doctors and public sector workers.”
The move means that working Venezuelans will now receive a basic salary of 248,510 bolivares, equivalent to $2.02 a month. On top of that, they are also handed an increased food ticket worth 549,000 bolivares worth $4.46, meaning their total income amounts to around $6.48."

But lost in all the gentry hyperbole are the two criteria, at this juncture and at this age, that matter far more than post-LSAT credentialing:

1. Does Mueller’s team display a diversity of legal training and experience—which would insulate it from charges of New York-Washington corridor blindness?
2. Is his team also immune from charges that it appears politically slanted?
