Arm Chair Psychiatry

By Tammy Derouin

Image result for Psychiatric Clip ArtIf imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, I'd have to say that in today's world, questioning someones mental well-being is the surest sign of desperation. The antics of the Left never cease to amaze me. Some of their attention grabbing stunts would be comical if they weren't so sad, depressing and even down right dangerous for our society.

There was a time when the thought of wearing a pink knitted beanie with cat ears, also known as a female genitalia hat, in public, would have caused others to question the sanity of the individual(s) involved. The local knitting club would have been shocked but today's militant feminist embrace such displays. Are they insane?

This past week the Washington Times posted an article by Jessica Chasmar which states, “The largest psychiatric organization in the world is calling for an end to “arm chair” psychiatry in light of allegations that President Trump is mentally unfit to serve.” The article goes on to state, “The American Psychiatric Association (APA) released a statement Tuesday reaffirming its commitment to “The Goldwater Rule,” which states that it is unethical for psychiatrists to diagnose public figures they have not personally examined.”

Questioning the mental state of President Trump or stating that he is unfit to serve as President of the United States is nothing new. It was very difficult for many on the Left to accept the reality of the election. They could not understand how or why so many Americans did not want Hillary to be president. A whole new level of mudslinging went into motion.......

The Kidnappings Americans Won't Do | Frontpage Mag
42.4% of kidnapping convictions are of non-citizens.
...We all know that there are jobs that Americans won’t do.

That’s what the politicians who don’t want Americans doing them tell us.
If an industry is dominated by immigrants or illegal aliens, they say that it’s because Americans won’t do these jobs.
But when immigrants and aliens dominate certain types of crime, is it because there are some crimes that Americans won’t commit?
Like kidnapping?
According to the Center for Immigration Studies, 42.4 percent of federal kidnapping convictions are of non-citizens.

Non-citizens also account for 31.5 percent of federal drug convictions.
Even though they’re only 8.4% of the population..."

Illinois Senator Dick Durbin Has a Long History of Lies and Calumny ⋆ The US Constitution ⋆ Constitution.com

Illinois Senator Dick Durbin Has a Long History of Lies and Calumny ⋆ The US Constitution ⋆ Constitution.com:
"...But, what most Americans don’t know is that Dick Durbin has a long history of lying in service to the Democrat Party and the anti-American, left-wing cause.
Durbin hit the airwaves last week claiming that Trump disparaged several foreign nations, including Haiti, Durbin proclaimed Trump a racist (again) and attacked him for being un-presidential.
But the comment, IF Trump even said it, was said in a private meeting, not in a public forum.
So, in truth we have no actual proof it was said.
...But, what about that “proof”?
The claims the media fell all over itself to report upon came from no less than Illinois Democrat Dick Durbin.
And Durbin has decades of lies piled up to his credit.
In fact, Durbin is one of the biggest liars in the whole of the upper chamber.
...There are many other examples of Durbin lies. Back in 2013, for instance, Durbin was at it again, lying about what was said in a private meeting. Durbin claimed that House Republicans acted in a racist manner toward President Obama and said they “can’t stand to look at him.”
...In another case, in 2014, on Meet The Press, Durbin made the wild-eyed claim that ten million Americans found new health insurance thanks to Obamacare. He also claimed that Obamacare would lower the deficit. But even the Washington Post gave its worst rating to Durbin’s lies.
...But, perhaps even worse, this is the same senator who said that our troops are Nazis.
This is the kind of scumbag Senator Dick Durbin is.

Student privacy law has become 'a distorted excuse for institutional stonewalling' - The College Fix
"Six years ago, the author of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act said it was being stretched beyond all recognition:
“I do know college administrations have played a lot of games with it.
Image result for stonewalling memeThere’s a lot of stonewalling going on.”
The stonewalling has arguably become even worse.
According to Zach Greenberg, legal fellow at the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education, FERPA “is a privacy statute that doesn’t protect privacy, a rights statute that creates no enforceable rights, and an access statute that allows colleges to conceal information that would invite bad press.”
He writes in The Chronicle of Higher Education that “poor enforcement, flawed court decisions, and nonexistent guidance from the Department of Education” have provided colleges “a distorted excuse for institutional stonewalling” on matters such as sexual-assault reports, “cronyism” and “administrative malfeasance.”..."

Moron Alert!-----Hawaii emergency agency password in photo sparks security criticism - Business Insider

Hawaii emergency agency password in photo sparks security criticism - Business Insider:
  • A false alert warning of an inbound missile was broadcast in Hawaii on Saturday.
  • Since then, people have discovered that a photo taken in Hawaii's Emergency Management Agency for a news article in July includes a sticky note with a password.
  • Hawaii says the alert was sent was because "an employee pushed the wrong button," not because of a hack, but the photo has sparked criticism about the agency's level of security.

hawaii 1On Saturday, people in Hawaii were awakened by a terrifying false alert about an inbound missile. Hawaii's Emergency Management Agency has said a worker clicked the wrong item in a drop-down menu and sent it, and that its system was not hacked.
"It was a mistake made during a standard procedure at the changeover of a shift, and an employee pushed the wrong button," Gov. David Ige said.
But an Associated Press photo from July that recently resurfaced on Twitter has raised questions about the agency's cybersecurity practices.
In it, the agency's operations officer poses in front of a battery of screens. Attached to one is a password written on a Post-it note...."

Mark Alexander: The Real Demo/MSM 'S—thole' Agenda — The Patriot Post
"Democrats and their MSM PR outlets have spent the last four days feigning outrage over a report by Jeff Bezos’ tabloid, The Washington Post, regarding an alleged and disputed remark by Donald Trump
You know the one…
As an update to our Friday post, “The Uncensored President and Press,” here is the real takeaway about that spurious claim, and the intended political result.
It was CNN that blew up this unverifiable claim, mentioning or displaying the word “s—thole” no less than 40 times last Thursday.
Predictably, Anderson Cooper then set up the Democrats’ “racist” claim: “The president of the United States is tired of so many black people coming to this country.”...

Michigan’s Prevailing Wage Law Drives Up Costs [Michigan Capitol Confidential]

Michigan’s Prevailing Wage Law Drives Up Costs [Michigan Capitol Confidential]:
"I recently installed a new roof on my house.
Before doing so, I did what any responsible homeowner does — I got bids from different companies and made a decision by balancing quality and costs and using market competition to my advantage.
...These calculations are what most people make when considering construction projects on their own homes and businesses.
But imagine if I had determined from the start that no matter who did the project, I was going to spend a minimum of $12,000 for a new roof because that’s the average price in some areas.
You’d probably find that to be a bit silly and a real waste of my money.
Image result for Michigan’s Prevailing Wage LawWhy would I pay more than I need to for a service just because it’s the going rate that other people pay?
But that is exactly what Michigan’s prevailing wage law does.
The decades-old law mandates that all government entities pay union prices for construction projects.
Michigan’s law is the most stringent in the nation, setting arbitrary — and often absurd — prices for schools, roads, parks, libraries, and other public construction projects.
This drives up costs by hundreds of millions of dollars every year, paid for by taxpayers.
In short, these laws mandate specific wages for those working on government projects.
It wipes out local control and competitive bidding.
Even if local school boards or city councils can find a higher quality at a lower price or more bang for the buck, they aren’t allowed to pay less..."

Now We Know Who's Really A Genius - Alicia Colon
"Ever since Donald Trump entered the political arena, his intelligence has been viciously attacked and his supporters have been labeled as moronic deplorables.
In a recent Trump tweet, the president responded to the most recent attack by saying he is a stable genius.
Image result for Donald Trump geniusThe mainstream media never bothered checking evidence of Obama's intelligence before one historian declared him "the smartest man with the highest IQ ever to be elected to the presidency", even though his academic records were sealed.
What these attacks do prove is who the real brains are and who are the dummies: Alan Dershowitz may be for real and George Will is the moron.
IQ's are a tricky thing because they are frequently determined by SAT scores and educational degrees rather than substantial testing by professionals.
Donald Trump may consider himself a "stable genius' and judging from the way he's handled foreign affair decisions, I tend to agree.
Using the MAGA theme, he removed us from a disastrous Paris accord; cutting foreign payments to hostile countries; recognizing Jerusalem as Israel capital; holding a hard line against Iran and North Korea and despots in the UN-absolutely brilliant.
Donald Trump has managed to drive the GOP elite, the mainstream media and the entire Democrat party absolutely nuts and that's such a wonderful thing to see.
The word genius has been batted around willy-nilly by the media to describe some individuals who are borderline simpletons..."
