Additionally, McCarthy appeared on Fox News to discuss the same:"

A Paternalism Ranking of the States | Mercatus Center
"Which states are the most paternalistic, in terms of telling you what you can and can’t do?
Which states tax individual choices like gambling, smoking, or using plastic bags most heavily?
This infographic ranks the states according to how much their tax codes distort individual choices in private markets.
The ranking shows which states try to control your choices by taxation, and which ones leave the choices up to you."

Hawaiian Who Sent False Missile Alert Won’t Cooperate With Investigation | Power Line

Hawaiian Who Sent False Missile Alert Won’t Cooperate With Investigation | Power Line:
"The false alarm of an incoming missile attack that panicked Hawaii for 45 minutes was one of the strangest news stories of recent years.
Hawaiian authorities have said that a state employee “accidentally pushed a wrong button,” an explanation that has provoked hilarity in some quarters. B
ut now there is an interesting development: the employee who “pushed a wrong button” is refusing to cooperate with investigators...
...The offending employee has not been identified.
Here is a wild guess: the employee who “pushed the wrong button” is a fanatical anti-Trump Democrat who believed that causing hysteria over a presumed North Korean missile attack would somehow make the president look bad.
If that guess is incorrect, maybe the anonymous employee should start cooperating with the investigation."

The Problem Isn’t Just Corruption at the FBI and Main Justice, It’s Also The Media… | The Last Refuge

The Problem Isn’t Just Corruption at the FBI and Main Justice, It’s Also The Media… | The Last Refuge:

Image result for free clip art news media"We’re talking about thousands of hours of media TV pundits, thousands more columns written, and almost every scintilla of it based on originating intelligence sources -from the larger intelligence system- that are now being exposed as duplicitous and conspiratorial in the scale of their malicious intent.
This larger story-line has traveled in one direction.  The narrative has only traveled in one direction.  Each thread converging on codependent trails for collective stories all going in one direction. One big engineered narrative endlessly pushed.  Think about how far the collective media have traveled with this story over the past eighteen months.
Now, in a period of a few weeks, it has become increasingly obvious the collective journey, using all that expended effort, was going in the wrong direction.

Think about this carefully."

New research from Denmark finds that motherhood and a 'child penalty' are responsible for the gender earnings gap - AEI

"That is the conclusion of a new NBER research paper by economists from Princeton, the London School of Economics and the Danish Ministry of Finance titled “Children and Gender Inequality: Evidence from Denmark” — that the gender pay gap in Denmark is explained largely by a “child penalty” that adversely impacts the earnings of mothers more than fathers, rather than by gender discrimination.
Here are excerpts from the paper’s abstract, introduction and conclusion:..."

"The FBI scandals continue to unravel.
  • Scott has chronicled the saga of the missing Strzok/Page text messages, now apparently on the road to recovery.
  • The FBI has continued to stonewall Congressional investigations, to the point where Senate Judiciary Committee chairman Charles Grassley says the FBI is playing “a bureaucratic game of hide the ball.”
  • And House Republicans have prepared a four-page memo that apparently summarizes the FBI’s malfeasance in connection with the fake Trump dossier. Some who have read it say it may lead to criminal prosecutions within the Department of Justice. DOJ is demanding a look at the memo, but so far House Republicans won’t turn it over. Why? Because they know what Justice bureaucrats will do with it. They will leak it to their friends at the New York Times and the Washington Post so they can preemptively attack the memo before the public gets to see it.
These scandals have been going on for quite a while, but people are finally beginning to notice..."

Embarrassment for NBC News after Lester Holt apparently falls for North Korean propaganda | Fox News
"NBC News is reeling after “Nightly News” anchor Lester Holt appears to have been badly fooled by North Korean propagandists -- giving a cheery report from a ski resort in the Hermit Kingdom that looked to be bustling when it was widely known to actually be a ghost town.
Holt -- who returned early from North Korea after scathing reviews -- reported for “Nightly News” from the Masikryong ski resort on Monday, a facility that is the brainchild of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un and is typically empty.
The resort, built to create the appearance of a prosperous nation, was largely deserted during peak 2017 ski season, according to multiple reports.
But for Holt’s appearance, the North Korean government appears to have brought in skiers — wearing identical outfits — and staged the scene, something Holt did not appear to realize... "

The Stupidity of "Buy American" - Reason.com

See the source imageThe Stupidity of "Buy American" - Reason.com:
"One sign of economic ignorance is the faith that "Buy American" is the path to prosperity.
My former employer, ABC News, did a week's worth of stories claiming that "buying American" would put Americans back to work.
"Buy American" is a dumb idea.
It would not only not create prosperity, it would cost jobs and make us all poorer.
David R. Henderson, an economist at the Hoover Institution, explained why.
"Almost all economists say it's nonsense," he said. "And the reason is: We should buy things where they're cheapest. That frees up more of our resources to buy other things, and other Americans get jobs producing those things."
This is what people always forget. Anytime we can use fewer resources and less labor to produce one thing, that leaves more for other things we can't afford. If we save money buying abroad, we can make and buy other products.
The nonsense of "Buy American" can be seen if you trace out the logic..."

Yale admin asks frats to ignore 'gender identity' during rush

See the source image
  • "A Yale University admin recently emailed fraternities on campus urging them to open their recruitment processes to all students, "regardless of gender," even if that conflicts with their national organization's rules.
  • The message echoed the goals of a student-led group called "Engender," which aims to compel "gender integration of Yale’s all-male fraternities."

A high-ranking administrator at Yale University recently emailed all fraternities on campus to encourage them to allow women to join.
Sent by Associate Vice President of Student Life Burgwell Howard, the email came on the heels of a longstanding activist effort by feminist students to make fraternities let women join in the name of “equity and inclusion,” exemplified by Harvard University’s recent decision to forbid membership in “unrecognized single-gender social organizations.”..."

Evidence suggests a massive scandal is brewing at the FBI | New York Post:

Image result for flickr commons images fbi Building Washington DC"During the financial crisis, the federal government bailed out banks it declared “too big to fail.” Fearing their bankruptcy might trigger economic Armageddon, the feds propped them up with taxpayer cash.
Something similar is happening now at the FBI, with the Washington wagons circling the agency to protect it from charges of corruption. This time, the appropriate tag line is “too big to believe.”
Yet each day brings credible reports suggesting there is a massive scandal involving the top ranks of America’s premier law enforcement agency. "

"Andrew McCarthy has a worthwhile article today discussing his long-held belief that Secretary Hillary Clinton could never have been prosecuted by the DOJ due to her non-secure email communications with former President Obama, and the need for the prior administration to protect the president.
...At the epicenter of what Andrew McCarthy outlines is the physical action of FBI Director of Counterintelligence Bill Priestap in 2016.
CTH has been pointing out this shadowy figure for almost a year.
Priestap’s appearance this week in text messages between Peter Strzok and Lisa Page explains why.
W.H. “Bill” Priestap is the FBI Head of Counterintelligence.
Priestap was one of the first FBI officials who caught our attention (spring of 2017) because FBI Director James Comey mysteriously pointed a finger upon him during testimony to congress on March 20th, 2017 [Although Comey didn’t use Bill Priestap’s name, only his position]..."
