Image result for Dwaine CarawayDallas Mayor says Caraway Scandal is an Example of Lack of “Economic Inclusion” in Dallas | News Talk WBAP-AM:
DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings is speaking out following the resignation of Mayor Pro-Tem Dwaine Caraway.
Caraway pleaded guilty Thursday to federal  corruption charges.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office and the IRS, Caraway accepted $450,000 in bribes and kickbacks related to a scheme that could have contributed to the demise of Dallas County Schools.
Mayor Rawlings spoke publicly for the first time about the news regarding Caraway Friday morning at an event at the Dallas Regional Chamber.
“We work hard to make sure our city is represented well throughout Texas, throughout our country, and throughout our world,” Rawlings said in front of a crowd of other local leaders.
“To have a blemish on it and a stain on it like this is a terrible day for us.”
Rawlings said that what happened to Dwaine Caraway is an example of why the city needs to improve what he called “economic inclusion.”
“Too often public servants that come from poor parts of our city are caught in and let themselves be caught in a trap around money, around economic inclusion, because they don’t have any money,” Rawlings said..."

Europe: Prayer in Public Spaces

Europe: Prayer in Public Spaces
  • These Arab countries know better than Europe that to contain Islamic fundamentalism, it is crucial to control the street.
  • That 140,000 Muslims recently gathered in England for a public prayer event organized by a mosque known for its extremism and links to jihadi terrorists, should not only alarm the British authorities, but those in other European countries as well.
A few months ago, a global media tempest erupted after Polish Catholics held a mass public prayer event across the country.
The BBC deemed it "controversial", due to "concerns it could be seen as endorsing the state's refusal to let in Muslim migrants".
See the source imageThe same controversy, however, did not erupt in Britain when 140,000 Muslims prayed in Birmingham's Small Heath Park, in an event organized by the Green Lane Mosque to mark the end of Ramadan.
France is debating whether or not to block prayer on the street.
"They will not have prayers on the street, we will prevent street praying" Interior Minister Gerard Collomb announced.
"Public space cannot be taken over in this way", said the president of the Paris regional council, Valérie Pécresse, who led a protest by councilors and MPs. In Italy, hundreds of Muslims prayed next to Colosseum, and Muslim prayers were held in front of Milan's Cathedral.
The numbers are telling. When Muslims throughout Europe celebrated the final day of Islam's holy month of Ramadan with public prayers, city squares -- from Naples (Italy) to Nice (France) -- overflowed.
The annual Birmingham event began in 2012 with 12,000 faithful.
Two years later, the number of the faithful rose to 40,000
In 2015, it was 70,000
In 2016, the number was 90,000
In 2017, it was 100,000
In 2018, the number was 140,000

The Politicization of the FBI - Imprimis

See the source imageThe Politicization of the FBI - Imprimis
"Over the past year, facts have emerged that suggest there was a plot by high-ranking FBI and Department of Justice (DOJ) officials in the Obama administration, acting under color of law, to exonerate Hillary Clinton of federal crimes and then, if she lost the election, to frame Donald Trump and his campaign for colluding with Russia to steal the presidency.
This conduct was not based on mere bias, as has been widely claimed, but rather on deeply felt animus toward Trump and his agenda.
In the course of this plot,

  • FBI Director James Comey,
  • U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch,
  • FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe,
  • FBI Deputy Director of Counterintelligence Peter Strzok,
  • Strzok’s paramour and FBI lawyer Lisa Page,
  • FBI General Counsel James Baker, and
  • DOJ senior official Bruce Ohr—perhaps among others

compromised federal law enforcement to such an extent that the American public is losing trust.
A recent CBS News poll finds 48 percent of Americans believe that Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Trump-Russia collusion probe is “politically motivated,” a stunning conclusion.
And 63 percent of polled voters in a Harvard CAPS-Harris Poll believe that the FBI withheld vital information from Congress about the Clinton and Russia collusion investigations..."

Thomas Sowell Writes The Book About Racism That America Needs

Discrimination and Disparities by [Sowell, Thomas]
Thomas Sowell Writes The Book About Racism That America Needs
"Sowell's calm and calculated look at racial disparity in America is a stunning work of brevity and reason.
Sometimes the slim volumes are the most deadly.
Such is the case with Thomas Sowell’s “Discrimination and Disparities,” which in fewer than 200 pages lays bare the grave faults and assumptions of people on both sides of the political divide about outcomes for racial groups.
...Sowell takes aim at two typical explanations for differences in the success of racial groups.

  • One, most associated with the Left, is that discrimination by racial groups in power is the primary force creating bad outcomes for the groups out of power.
  • The other, most associated with the Right, is that racial groups have inherent abilities or disabilities based on factors such as IQ distribution that lead to unequal outcomes.

...First, Some Prerequisites
In a theme Sowell opens with and refers to throughout, he discusses how in any area or endeavor, success is the result of meeting multiple and myriad prerequisites.
Lacking even one of these, even if others are in abundance, can prevent success..."

Giant Scam in the works!---- A ‘Revenue-Neutral’ Carbon Dioxide Tax Is a Lie Targeting Conservatives | Heartland Institute

News - A ‘Revenue-Neutral’ Carbon Dioxide Tax Is a Lie Targeting Conservatives | Heartland Institute
It's targeting conservatives. (RINOs)
Already, a few score congressional Republicans have fallen for it.
"Global warming activists attempt to win over conservatives by claiming a carbon dioxide tax can be “revenue neutral.”
By rebranding a carbon dioxide tax as a “fee and dividend,” with all carbon dioxide tax revenue returned to taxpayers, global warming activists hope to win over enough conservatives and Republicans to gain majority support for a tax.
A quick review of activist plans for the collection of carbon dioxide tax revenues reveals a carbon dioxide tax is simply another means for leftists to grow government, fund new leftist programs, and redistribute wealth.
Despite calls for a “revenue-neutral” carbon dioxide tax, there is no such thing as a “household-income-neutral” carbon dioxide tax.
The point of a carbon dioxide tax is to impose such high costs on conventional power that it becomes even more expensive than expensive wind and solar power.
According to tax proponents, when carbon dioxide taxes are sufficiently high, power generation will come exclusively from wind and solar sources.
Then, when power generation comes from expensive wind and solar power, no carbon dioxide tax would be collected.
The added financial burden imposed on American households by a carbon dioxide tax will take the form of higher energy bills — for which there will be no government compensation — rather than revenues collected and returned by government.
Consumers will be stuck with much-higher energy bills, with no returned tax “dividend” to soften the blow.
...When global warming activists tell conservatives and Republicans that all revenues collected under a carbon dioxide tax can be returned to taxpayers via a reduction in other taxes or a dividend distribution, their actions tell a completely different story.
Their goal is to first get conservatives and Republicans to sign on to the idea of a carbon dioxide tax, and then to force conservatives to negotiate away the economic principles that would govern tax revenue collection and distribution.
Take, for example, a proposed carbon dioxide tax that was presented to Washington State voters on the 2016 ballot..."

Monsanto Slammed With $289 Million Verdict In Historic 'RoundUp' Cancer Lawsuit | Zero Hedge
"A San Francisco Jury awarded $289 million in damages to a former school groundskeeper, Dewayne Johnson, who said Monsanto's Roundup weedkiller gave him terminal cancer.
The award consists of $40 million in compensatory damages and $250 million in punitive damages.
Image result for junk scienceJohnson's trial was fast-tracked due to the severe state of his non-Hodgkins lymphomaa cancer of the lymph system he says was triggered by Roundup and Ranger Pro, a similar glyphosate herbicide that he applied up to 30 times per year...
Johnson testified that he had been involved in two accidents during his work in which he was doused with the product, the first of which happened in 2012.
Two years later, the 46-year-old father of two was diagnosed with lymphoma - which has covered as much as 80% of his body in lesions.
Monsanto says it will appeal the verdict.
“Today’s decision does not change the fact that more than 800 scientific studies and reviews -- and conclusions by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the U.S. National Institutes of Health and regulatory authorities around the world -- support the fact that glyphosate does not cause cancer, and did not cause Mr. Johnson’s cancer,” Monsanto Vice President Scott Partridge said in a statement."
