How China Controls Its Citizens | The National Interest

"China is zombifying ostensibly regulatory-type international institutions in an effort to spread its pro-Party message.--by E. John Gregory
...In the first two parts of this series, I explained the genesis and logic behind China’s discursive-construction of a truth-ambivalent China-wide safe space where the Communist Party would be unassailable and understood as indispensable to the nation.

I also explained how the Party created a zombified version of what the West calls “civil society” in order to make the safe space self-perpetuating.
In part three, I now turn to how China is making the purveyors of American soft power into its eager and willing host organisms to expand China’s safe space beyond its own borders.

China’s global media acquisitions and operations, efforts to dominate the Chinese diaspora , influencing and manipulating the politics of liberal-democratic nations and expanding influence in international organizations are all indicative of China’s international “discourse power” project..."

"Make America Great Again" board in Troup County teacher's classroom sparks controversy

TROUP COUNTY, Ga. (WRBL) - Exactly two weeks into the new school year, and already one Troup County school felt the heat of controversy Thursday.
Parents and grandparents took to Facebook to express their outrage after students came home from Long Cane Middle School with photos of a board featuring president Donald Trump's campaign slogan "Make America Great Again"..."

Ex-officials actually use security clearances to get rich:

Image result for flickr commons images John BrennanFormer CIA Director John Brennan’s temper tantrum over the revocation of his security clearance has inadvertently pointed a spotlight at one of the Swamp’s favorite get-rich-quick tricks: the national intelligence contractor hustle.
On Aug. 20, President Trump escalated his attack on Brennan. “Everybody wants to keep their Security Clearance, it’s worth great prestige and big dollars, even board seats, and that is why certain people are coming forward to protect Brennan,” Trump said.
The president’s point is valid:

Fifth-grade boy is punished for calling his teacher ‘ma’am.’ Parents take it to the press. Conservative News Today
"Once upon a time teachers used to complain about students who behaved like rotten little monsters. These days some teachers instead have taken to kvetching about students who behave like gentlemen.
Take students like Tamarion, a 10-year-old North Carolina boy who got in trouble at his Tarboro preparatory school after he had the audacity to refer to his teacher as “ma’am.”
Oh, the utter horror.
...“I asked him what happened. He said he got in trouble for saying ‘yes ma’am,'” Tamarion’s mother, Teretha Wilson, explained to local station WTVD.
The teacher then forced the poor child to fill the front and back side of a sheet of notebook paper with the word “ma’am” as punishment and demanded he get the sheet signed by his parents.
Look:

Coming up at 4:30 and 6 on @ABC11_WTVD: Parents of a Tarboro 5th grader are upset after their son got in trouble for calling a teacher "ma'am" against her wishes. In response, they say the teacher made him write the word repeatedly on a sheet of paper

When Justice Is Partial

When Justice Is Partial:
"The country has watched the
  • FBI treat one presidential campaign with kid gloves, the other with informants, warrants and eavesdropping.
  • They’ve seen the Justice Department resist all efforts at accountability, even as it fails to hold its own accountable.
  • And don’t get them started on the one-sided media.
And they are now witnessing unequal treatment in special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe.
...let’s take Mr. Khuzami’s word for it when he says Mr. Cohen’s crimes are “particularly significant” because he’s a lawyer who should know better, and also because the payments were for the purpose of “influencing an election” and undermining its “integrity.”
If there is only “one set of rules,” where is Mr. Mueller’s referral of a case against Hillary for America?
Federal law requires campaigns to disclose the recipient and purpose of any payments.
The Clinton campaign paid Fusion GPS to compile a dossier against Mr. Trump, a document that became the basis of the Russia narrative Mr. Mueller now investigates.
But the campaign funneled the money to law firm Perkins Coie, which in turn paid Fusion.
The campaign falsely described the money as payment for “legal services.”
The Democratic National Committee did the same..."

How The Media Treated John McCain When It Actually Mattered
"As the media showers John McCain with praise and elaborate tributes with news of his death, it's worth taking a look back at how they attacked him as a "racist" and a "white supremacist" when it actually mattered during his presidential run in 2008.
Mike Cernovich had a great compilation:

Millennials May Love Socialism, But Socialism Won't Love Them Back

Millennials May Love Socialism, But Socialism Won't Love Them Back:

Image result for Communist DictatorsFar from learning the truth — that America has been the greatest force for freedom in the history of humankind, while creating unparalleled wealth for its citizens — students today are relentlessly drilled with a progressive catechism of guilt over America's long-admitted shortcomings and history.
The result: a generation raised on moral equivalency, diversity and a jaundiced view of their nation's own past. A generation of Americans that hate their own culture, even as hundreds of millions around the world dream of coming to this land of opportunity and freedom.
Is it any surprise that the millennial generation sees socialism as an answer to all of the world's shortcomings? After all, its utopian ideals of total equality and no want are appealing to young people...

Murderous Mexico: July Most Violent Ever As Country Descends Into Chaos | Zero Hedge
"Mexico continues to descend into chaos, as a record number of homicide cases were opened last month, the Ministry of Public Security said Tuesday.
The ministry states 2,599 homicide cases were opened in July - an average of 84 per day, for a total of 3,017 registered victims.
This is the highest monthly toll ever record since Mexico began keeping stats on homicide cases in the late 1990s.
The previous record of 2,894 was set in May..."

Federal Judge Busts Obamacare ‘Deep State Bureaucrats’ ‘Money Laundering’ Scheme, Awarding $839 Million to Six States From the IRS

Federal Judge Busts Obamacare ‘Deep State Bureaucrats’ ‘Money Laundering’ Scheme, Awarding $839 Million to Six States From the IRS:

Image result for flickr commons images obama"This is a prime example of how the administrative state works — and how difficult it can be to unravel the work of deep state bureaucrats," Louisiana Solicitor General Liz Murrill, who helped argue the case, told PJ Media.
In the ruling, U.S. District Judge Reed O'Connor ruled that the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) had unlawfully required six states — Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Nebraska, Texas, and Wisconsin — to foot the bill for health care providers, paying a fee that Obamacare clearly exempted them from.
