It's always leftist liars. Why?
'Village Voice' Suspends Writer/Editor for Fabrication: "NEW YORK Late Wednesday, the Village Voice weekly in New York suspended one of its editors and removed a story from its Web site after learning that one scene in the cover story, published this week, had been fabricated"
Selective outrage? Oh my!
Who'd have thought that a hurricane could have high winds and lots of water...and stuff?
I'm Shocked!
Gateway Pundit: Wires: Bush, Chertoff, Nagin & Fats Domino Warned Before Katrina: "Wednesday, March 01, 2006
Today's headline thriller from the AP:
'Tape: Bush, Chertoff Warned Before Katrina'
Who knew?? My goodness gracious! George W. Bush heard it was going to be a big hurricane!! Can you imagine?
Here is some news for the AP...
The whole world was warned before Katrina!!! The AP itself wrote on the Sunday before the hurricane that 'Katrina's storm surge would likely top the levees.' Mayor Nagin told people going to the Superdome should come with enough food and supplies to last three to five days. Bush declared a national emergency. FEMA teams were in place to move in. Emergency assistance was being deployed and national guard troops were being prepared. President Bush personally warned the citizens on the coast.
If the AP wanted to unveil some unreported news they could try this, 'the response to Hurricane Katrina was by far the largest--and fastest-rescue effort in U.S. history.' (via Powerline)
Now, that would be some bold reporting!
Here is what the media and bloggers were saying the Sunday before Katrina hit the Gulf Coast:
August 28, 2005
Katrina Packing Wind of Nearly 175 Mph
Associated Press
Mayor Ray Nagin ordered an immediate evacuation Sunday for all of New Orleans, a city of 485,000 people, as Hurricane Katrina bore down with wind revved up to nearly 175 mph and a threat of a massive storm surge. "
The rest is just as good. What is it with the nutty left?
Just the facts, ma'am
Power Line: Bad Numbers, Part II: "The first is a correction in the New York Times:
Two articles on Saturday about the management deal for six American ports and its political fallout referred incorrectly to the role to be played by Dubai Ports World. It would run some of the terminal operations; it would not own the ports or take over all operations."
Kind of a big mistake, doncha think?
Is this why their reporting is so bad?
DRUDGE REPORT FLASH 2005: "NBC White House correspondent David Gregory, who apologized last week for calling White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan a 'jerk,' called into MSNBC's IMUS Thursday morning -- apparently drunk!"
Pretty stupid...and sad. Read the entire embarrassment.
I got a comment!

The AP video does not include footage of Chertoff asking Brown whether he needs any other help or of Chertoff asking whether Brown wants him to approach the Department of Defense. Transcripts show that to both questions, Brown indicated that no additional assistance was needed."

Aussie men love NYC chicks!
OpinionJournal - Best of the Web Today: "Going for Bloke
Maureen Dowd, who writes a column for a subscription-only Web site and is author of a new book called 'Are Men Necessary?,' has gone Down Under to promote her book--and to go 'man hunting,' reports the Sydney Morning Herald.
'When I was 20,' Dowd tells the Herald, 'I fell in love with an Australian hotel manager in Dublin called Rowan. After that, I wanted to emigrate to Australia but my parents made me go home instead. Now I'm here at last. And if they can take a strong, sassy, saucy woman, Australian men should please apply.'
The Herald invites its readers to apply, and here are some of their comments:
From: SSS
Comment: If she can answer this question I'll let her have me. How many blokes does it take to open a beer can? None. Maureen should of [sic] had it opened when she brought it to me. She better be able to cook and clean also.

Ace of Spades HQ: "Top Ten Things You Don't Want To Hear From Your Flight Crew
10. 'Your choice of dinner is beef stroganoff or vegetarian burrito. I'd recommend that burrito; you don't want any of that 'bad energy' of animal murder when we die in a flaming holocaust of twist metal. Which we'll be doing in (checks watch) about five minutes now. Fresca?'"

Support our best teachers in Muskegon!
OK, she's one of many great teachers but our French transplant is truly one of the best teachers in our county. Bernadette Bilock, a French teacher at North Muskegon High School, is promoting, again, a wonderful dinner and French experience at the Hearthstone next week. The food is very "French", the service is very "Lister" and the evening will likely become a "memory". All for the benefit of her students.
Gordo and Honey will attend. See you there!

Oscar review-best documentary
After consulting with the Yale admissions committee, the awards committee will give the Oscar to ... 'Paradise Now,' a heartwarming story about Palestinian suicide bombers. How good is it? Al-Jazeera gave it 4 1/2 pipe bombs. It's Air Syria's featured in-flight movie this month -- go figure! I don't want to spoil the ending for you, but let's just say there won't be a sequel."
Lawyer Plays Race Card at Democrat's Vote Fraud Sentencing
Gateway Pundit: Lawyer Plays Race Card at Democrat's Vote Fraud Sentencing: "At least 16 St. Louis area Democrats have been found guilty of election crimes since the 2004 election!"
"Your honor, this is about racism," Cook said of Powell's prosecution. "This is about suppressing the vote of black people."The racial makeup of the city is 1.23% White, 97.74% African American!
The white MSM doesn't seem to think voter disenfrancisement is such a big deal if the democrats are the disenfranchisers.
The Left Concocts a Poisonous Day of News
Gateway Pundit: The Left Concocts a Poisonous Day of News: "Three leading stories yesterday. Three bogus stories yesterday."
No wonder the MSM is scared "big time" of the blogs, talk radio and FOX.

IMAO: Frank Advice on Port Security: "* Remember: Just because someone is Arab doesn't mean that he is a Muslim; in fact, the huge majority of Arabs in America are Christian, so, when you see an Arab, you should be more worried about a Christian extremist who will chat off your ear about 'The Bible.' INTERESTING REPORT FROM IRAQ:
In the days that followed the bombing of a sacred Shiite shrine, Iraq seemed within a hair's breadth of civil war. But an aggressive U.S. and Kurdish diplomatic campaign appears for now to have coaxed the country back from open conflict between Sunni Arabs and Shiites, according to Iraqi politicians and Western diplomats speaking in interviews on Monday.

WOODTV.com & WOOD TV8 - Grand Rapids news and weather - Former energy secretary Abraham joins French nuclear company: "WASHINGTON Former Energy Secretary Spencer Abraham will join Areva as chairman of its board of directors.
Areva is the U-S subsidiary of the French-owned nuclear company.
Areva has been aggressively marketing its advanced-design power reactor to American utilities and hopes Abraham will help that cause as board chairman."
The good news is that any company is promoting nuclear power in the USA.
This is good for race relations?
Union head blasts plan to name street after Black Panther: SouthFlorida.com: "A police union official is criticizing a Chicago proposal to rename a street after a slain Black Panther leader who once advocated violence against police officers.
The City Council's transportation committee approved an ordinance yesterday to rename a one-block section of Monroe Street on the city's West Side after former Panther Fred Hampton."
Disgusting!
I remember taking a wrong turn in Chicago back in the 1970s. We were surrounded by black thugs who pounded on my car as we sat at a light. I ran the light out of great fear. A few hundred dollars of damage but we made it out alive. That is the legacy of the black racists.

Stabenow the most liberal?
"That's Saul, folks!"
Michigan Republican Party Blog:
"According to respected political publication National Journal, Debbie Stabenow's liberal score for 2005 is 86.3, making her the ninth most liberal member of the Senate, outranking nationally known liberals such as New York Senators Hillary Clinton and Charles Schumer and on par with Massachusetts Senator John Kerry.
Year Stabenow Clinton Schumer Kennedy Kerry
2005 86.3 79.8 77.8 96.7 86.7

CBS Slants Bush Poll in Favor of Democrats NewsBusters.org:
In its classic 'fair and balanced' tradition, CBS slanted in favor of Democrats its poll that found Bush has a 34 percent approval rating and a 59 percent disapproval rating, an all-time high for a CBS poll.
On the bottom of the PDF version of the poll (page 18) it says how many Democrats versus Republicans were contacted.
'Total Republicans' contacted: 272 unweighted and 289 weighted.
'Total Democrats' contacted: 409 unweighted and 381 weighted.
Remember, this is the C-BS of Dan Rather. Sadly, the rest of the MSM just ate this lie up and reported it as if it were true.

WZZM 13 Grand Rapids - Heart Smart Law Requires Fitness Clubs to Have Defibrillators: "Heart Smart Law Requires Fitness Clubs to Have Defibrillators
The heart-attack death of a man at a Royal Oak fitness club led Gov. Jennifer Granholm to sign into law this week a bill requiring all fitness clubs in Michigan to have defibrillators."
Too bad the fellow died at a health club rather than a Starbucks....would they require double espresso drips? Jeepers, some folks wonder why companies are running away from JennyCountry?
