Terrorists have budgets too!
Gateway Pundit: Looking to Save Money, Terrorists Advocate Suicide Bombing: "In a directive issued today, obtained by ABC News, the FBI says a posting on an extremist message board 'advocated suicide attacks against sporting events as a cost-effective means of killing thousands of Americans.' "
Should we hate them less because they're thrifty?
India or Indiana?
mlive.com: NewsFlash - Toyota expected to announce Camry line at Indiana plant: "Toyota has chosen an Indiana Subaru plant to begin producing its Camry line, expanding its U.S. production of the mid-sized sedan, U.S. Rep. Steve Buyer confirmed Friday."
I thought the democrats told us all the jobs were going to India!
Iran, it's getting worse.
Captain's Quarters: "By the way, the country that shares the sovereignty of the Straits of Hormuz is the United Arab Emirates"
Meet the Press had Biden and George Allen both pledging that "Iran must not be allowed to posess nuclear weapons". Why am I not comforted?

No NYT Stocks: "No, that won't be an April Fool's Day prank by The New York Times. I'm told that, on April 1st, the Grey Lady is planning to drop its Monday-through-Friday stock listings"
Why am I thinking that the NYT will gain stature by reporting less......

Straw Poll Loses McCain, Its Star - New York Times: "Senator John McCain of Arizona, one of the party's leading prospective presidential candidates, announced he would instruct his supporters not to vote for him and to instead write in the name of President Bush, as a show of support.
The move left supporters of Mr. McCain's main rival Senator Bill Frist of Tennessee, who had been looking for a big hometown win sputtering"
The trouble with this transparency is that GOP primary voters aren't as dumb as the Times editorial staff. We remember "McCain-Feingold" and more will recall the Keating 5 had only one Republican member of that crooked cabal, Sen. McCain.

Police State?
Instapundit.com -
I want to focus –yes—on Hillary.
After what she said the other day – that some GOP immigration proposals would create a “police state” – I simply have no choice. Too outrageous. Can’t let it pass. Someone, somewhere has to take five minutes to underscore the gross and rather macabre hypocrisy that’s involved here.
Leftist demonology has become a religion.
They chant their slurs with fervor but where are their reasoned proofs or arguements?

Pelosi Hails Democrats' Diverse War Stances: "House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said yesterday that Democrats should not seek a unified position on an exit strategy in Iraq, .......
Pelosi said Democrats will produce an issue agenda for the 2006 elections but it will not include a position on Iraq. .......
'There is no one Democratic voice . . . and there is no one Democratic position,' Pelosi said in an interview....
"Vote for us! We have no clue!" Sadly this will resonate with their core voter.
AtlantaGuy responds"The Post deserves credit, however. For once at least, the word "diverse" was used to indicate the existence of real differences in individual philosophy and opinion. It was not employed in its usual incantation to refer to the presence of two or more group identities within an assembly of extremely like-minded people. A breath of fresh air once in a while is always welcome -- and I say that even if the Post's intent was to put a kind face on (what may be to them) an embarrassing situation.
This mighta worked better....

Muslim's Blunt Criticism of Islam Draws Threats - New York Times: "In the interview, which has been viewed on the Internet more than a million times and has reached the e-mail of hundreds of thousands around the world, Dr. Sultan bitterly criticized the Muslim clerics, holy warriors and political leaders who she believes have distorted the teachings of Muhammad and the Koran for 14 centuries.
She said the world's Muslims, whom she compares unfavorably with the Jews, have descended into a vortex of self-pity and violence. ........
In response, clerics throughout the Muslim world have condemned her, and her telephone answering machine has filled with dark threats"

100,000 marchers?
My Way News: "Hoisting American flags into the air, tens of thousands of immigrants from the Chicago area marched downtown in a display of support for immigrant rights as a bill to stiffen border enforcement awaits action in the U.S. Senate."
That's a lot of protesters in support of illegals. Politicians are watching and listening, i'm sure.
Well, It worked for Michael Moore
DIXIE CHICKS - DIXIE CHICKS STILL FIGHTING BUSH ON NEW ALBUM: "Country trio the DIXIE CHICKS are planning to re-ignite their feud with US President GEORGE W BUSH in a provocative new song"
I used to like their music but now I can't get past their ignorant ranting. But I bet this new album is a giant hit as jillions of blue staters who couldn't tell the difference between Clint Black and Black Power spend $20 to show solidarity. Probably be able to get a "used" copy in NYC for pretty cheap.

Blind drivers?

Ramirez is blind, yet she and dozens of other visually impaired sophomores in Chicago schools are required to pass a written rules-of-the-road exam in order to graduate - a rule they say takes time away from subjects they might actually use."

If the Demos win in November
FromMoveOn.org
Taking just the House of Representatives, here is a small slice of who will be leading:
Nancy Pelosi—a progressive—becomes Speaker of the House of Representatives.
John Murtha—a veteran and anti-war champion—would become chair of the House subcommittee on defense appropriations. He would be in charge of the budget for the war in Iraq.
John Conyers—who forced a national debate on the Downing Street Memos—would be chairman of the House Judiciary Committee.
Henry Waxman would be chairman of the Government Reform committee—he has a bulls-eye on war profiteers like Halliburton.
Barney Frank—who has led efforts to rein in out-of-control CEO pay—would be in charge of the Financial Services Committee.
David Obey—who led opposition to the Republican budget—would be chair of the House Appropriations committee—protecting Medicaid, food stamps, veteran's benefits, student loans and more.
Charles Rangel—who predicted the Medicare debacle—would be chair of the House Ways and Means committee—protecting Social Security.
George Miller—a big advocate for working people—would be chair of the House Committee on Education and the Workforce and could bring a vote to raise the minimum wage.
You know there had to be some trepidation about sending this out.

Michigan Senate moves to increase minimum wage: "The surprise vote is a response to a petition drive to raise the minimum wage in the state constitution. Democrats pushing the ballot measure had hoped it would bring more Democrats to the polls in November, something Republicans would like to avoid."
