Thank God they're rotten shots!
Cops shoot up house by mistake: "Leo Johnson said it turned out that 'the cops were shooting at each other.' "
Too much trust...not enough oversight.
Accountant to plead in $2M fraud: "Today, Korson was expected to plead guilty to embezzling $1.5 million from Muskegon Family Care, along with a second felony charge of misappropriating $500,000 while working for Greater Muskegon Catholic Schools, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office"
Littlejohn said she believes all the Catholic organizations that Korson worked for "trusted him completely."
"He's such a wonderful person," she said. "That's what's so sad about it."
I remember Ken Lay was pretty popular too.

Why? Because the truth is as scary to the left as consequences are to politicians?
Don't deny that some Muslims are hot for jihad: "But there are two kinds of persons objecting to the war: There's a shriveled Sheehan-Sheen left that's in effect urging on American failure in Iraq, and there's a potentially far larger group to their right that's increasingly wary of the official conception of the war. The latter don't want America to lose, they want to win -- decisively. And on the day's headlines -- on everything from the Danish cartoon jihad to the Afghan facing death for apostasy -- the fainthearted response of 'public diplomacy' is in danger of sounding only marginally less nutty than Charlie Sheen. "

The "why" about rising gasoline prices
WSJ.com - The Gasoline Follies: "Gasoline prices are rising again, and this time Iraq or hurricanes aren't to blame. Congress's energy policy mistakes are finally catching up with it, and American drivers are paying for the bungles."

This song rocks America!
Ace of Spades HQ: "'Bush Was Right' Rock Song (Video)
It's got a good beat and you can spread democracy to it.
Go to their site and download the song too. Musical, patriotic capitalists! Yee Ha!

This guy gets it!
Pacifist group revealed as moral imbeciles: "When the three Western hostages were rescued by coalition forces in Iraq last week and returned to Canada, was I the only one who was disappointed?
Was I the only one who thought: Dear Lord. Is THIS what all the fuss was about?
These smarmy, international busybodies, the Gladys Kravitzes of the Iraq occupation, peering out at the world from behind the curtains with their pursed little disapproving lips?
These sanctimonious, reality challenged little creeps? "

Good news?
Port Huron, MI: "For Doris Cooper, the hardest part about getting her new prescription-drug plan was signing up.
Now, two months after enrolling in a Medicare Part D prescription coverage plan, Cooper, 71, of Port Huron said she's saving nearly $1,800 a month."
Seems like lots of folks like the new plan! MSM can find only grouches.
Did anyone ask Laura?
Bush preps historic Third Term - memo The Register: "The US Department of Justice (DoJ) and the office of the White House Counsel are preparing a draft document laying out the President's wartime authority to remain in office past 2008, The Register has learned.
The scheme is described as an emergency 'continuity presidency,' made necessary by the extraordinary circumstances and unique challenges of protecting the United States from the threat of international terrorism."
Send this to your lib friends and watch the fun!
Two week news blackout ends
Accountant charged with taking $2M: "Muskegon accountant Daniel M. Korson was accused by the federal government Friday of defrauding local Catholic institutions of $2 million."
http://muskegonpundit.blogspot.com/2006/03/why-news-blackout.html
Why the stonewall? Was it the GR Catholic diocese or the Chronicle? Harkens back to the Catholic Church's continuing suppression of pedophilic priests.
Imagine.....
..... if the police officer was a black woman and the abusive Congressman was a white, male Republican. No double standard?
BREITBART.COM - No Apology From McKinney for Hill Scuffle: "Rep. Cynthia McKinney, the Georgia congresswoman who had a physical altercation with a police officer, is speaking out about the episode after saying she regretted the incident.
But she has refused to apologize in a statement and a brief on-camera interview. "

This flag is offensive in an American school!!?
American Flag Waving Banned at Colorado School: "Dozens of high school students protested a temporary school policy forbidding students from displaying the U.S. flag - as well as flags from other countries - amid racial tensions following immigration rallies."
Another reason for school choice!
Ain't America great?
eBay: State of Georgia tortilla chip (item 9505062212 end time Apr-07-06 07:46:31 PDT): "You are bidding on an authentic Georgia tortilla chip. The chip is from Moe's Southwestern Grill in Alpharetta, GA off of Windward Parkway."
Bid is over $107 so far.
No media bias?
ABC Suspends Producer John Green After E-Mail Flap: "ABC News executives have suspended Weekend Good Morning America executive producer John Green for a month, after two politically charged personal e-mails Green sent to a colleague were leaked to the press, according to two network sources.
In one e-mail, sent during a presidential debate on Sept. 30, 2004, Green wrote, 'Are you watching this? Bush makes me sick. If he uses the 'mixed messages' line one more time, I'm going to puke.'

Louse egg?
FARK.com: Sports links: "South Carolina repeats as champion of Tournament Nobody Cares About"
As Hank would say about the NIT:
"Just remember, a 'nit' is a louse egg. Hank Reardon 03.26.06 - 2:22 pm #"
UM fans might agree.......
Hitler told us in advance....
...... and the Iranians are telling us now. Why is no one listening?
OpinionJournal - Featured Article: "President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has publicly mused that the Jewish state should be 'wiped off the map,' and former President Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani has said that 'the use of a nuclear bomb in Israel will leave nothing on the ground whereas it will only damage the world of Islam.' Why should we assume they don't mean this?"
Close 21 of 29 plants!
Delphi to Ask Court to Void Union Deals: "Auto parts supplier Delphi Corp. (DPHIQ) will ask a federal bankruptcy court on Friday to void its labor contracts as part of a controversial restructuring that calls for layoffs of up to 8,500 salaried workers and the sale or closure of 21 of its 29 U.S. plants."
Musta lost patience....
Communist manifesto?
'The Disposable American,' by Louis Uchitelle - New York Times: "Is the layoff the great American wound? In Louis Uchitelle's account, it seems a wound in triplicate"
Hard to tell how truly moronic this book is from the poorly written review but it seems to be another anecdote filled tome recounting depressed ex-employees, misleading statistics and outright lies about companies that "downsize" (a despicable word) or otherwise reduce their workforce. The conclusion ignores our current decades long boom. Both, the reviewer and author must never have heard of GM, Ford or France.

Proof there is a God?
Hooters Falls from the Sky: MYRTLE BEACH, SC-March 30, 2006 - Hooters Air, the novelty, low-priced carrier featuring women flight attendants in orange short-shorts and tight T-shirts, will be grounded beginning next month except for private charters out of Winston-Salem, N.C. "
Oh, wait a minute. I'm thinking manna. Never mind......
Kum-by-ya libs admit cowardice
Ace of Spades HQ: "Borders and Waldenbooks stores will not stock the April-May issue of Free Inquiry magazine because it contains cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad that provoked deadly protests among Muslims in several countries.
'For us, the safety and security of our customers and employees is a top priority, and we believe that carrying this issue could challenge that priority,' Borders Group Inc. spokeswoman Beth Bingham said Wednesday.
At least they're honest. They're not claiming they're making the decision due to 'respect for different religious values,' but because there's a decent chance adherents of The Religion of Perpetually Peevishness will come and bomb or burn bookstores."
Ace of Spades spots this gem that harkens back to Germany in the 1930s. I find their surrender to thuggishness chilling.
These ain't fishin' boats....
THE RAPID GROWTH AND MODERNIZATION OF THE CHINESE NAVY: "......graphically display the enormous amount of building activity that has been going on in the Chinese shipyards for the last few years and what they are producing"
Our next war? Read the whole report. Very disturbing.
Come on, tell us the truth!
Abramoff Gets Almost 6 Years in Prison: "Disgraced former lobbyist Jack Abramoff was sentenced to five years and 10 months in prison in a Florida fraud case, the minimum sentence allowed. "
I could care less about this case but I wish the media would tell us when these crooks are eligible for parole. Like when their gonna get out? The reports of "up to xxx years" are meaningless.
Innocent until proven guilty?
My Way - Sports News: "The president of Duke University met Wednesday with students who feel his suspension of the lacrosse team during a rape investigation was not enough, urging them to be patient while police look into the matter."
News reports sound like these guys did the deed but couldn't the girls have set them up? I loved the TV report that informed: "one of the dancers (dancers?) was a young mother who danced (danced?) in order to pay for college". Yeah, right.
And ya gotta love the "kum by ya libs" so anxious to string up the white dudes. Imagine if they were "of color".
Deja vu all over again?
Threads2: "The U.N. Security Council gave Iran 30 days to clear up suspicions that it is seeking nuclear weapons, and key members turned their focus on what to do if Iran refuses to suspend uranium enrichment and allow more intrusive inspections"
Let's see. N Korea, Iraq, Pakistan. Yeah, Iran will be really scared by the UN Security Council.
Another moronic idea from Michigan "ejukaters"
Stephenson area public schools to move to four-day school week:
STEPHENSON, Mich. Students at the Stephenson Area Public Schools will soon attend school from Tuesday to Friday."
And what a surprise! The article neglects to tell us anything about total school revenue or teacher/supervisor compensation per pupil. Sophists!
Odd. Not on TV.
Detroit police arrest 32 students after shortage protest: "Detroit police have arrested 32 students in a protest over chronic shortages of books and supplies at a city high school.
About 200 of Mackenzie High School's 17-hundred students walked out of the school yesterday afternoon.
They marched along a nearby street, chanting in protest against a lack of textbooks."
These kids may be the only honest folks in the entire Detroit school system. No city wide protest, after all it's black on black here.
Fire the leaders!
Los Angeles Times: Failing their own: "I'M THINKING of a cabal of radical legislators who don't reflect the views of average Americans or even the interests of their own constituents. They use wedge issues, play the race card and push their party to the ideological extreme. They collude with outside activists, many of whom use religion as a Trojan horse for a radical political agenda. "
Only in the American black community does 40 years of proven failure guarantee an exemption from scrutiny.

Another reason to avoid the "City Center"?
City moves ahead with plans to have state designate Shoreline Drive as business route: "Shoreline Drive was officially completed with a formal dedication in October 2004. But one more crucial step still must be taken before the lakefront boulevard will be designated as the U.S. 31 Business Route through Muskegon's downtown. "
It is idiotic to reroute heavy trucks through that windey road with its non-synchronized stoplights. And you gotta love the berm that keeps drivers from viewing the shore from "Shoreline Drive".
I had to repost Hank's insight re: cute Harp Seals.
"The problem for our fur harvesting neighbors to the north and east is that these Harp Seals look soooo cute. They stink like hell and eat tons of innocent little fishes, but they're cute. If they could be genetically engineered to look like Karl Rove even PETA wouldn't have a problem clubbing them.Save the Naugas!Hank Reardon 03.29.06 - 9:05 am # " Hank's funny!
