"Count the American speedskater Catherine Raney among the athletes, coaches and officials of several sports surprised by Canada’s approach to hosting the Winter Games in February.

"Mr Burnham told the King's Fund that detailing the costs of hospital treatment “will set out the scale of the efficiency and productivity challenge year on year, building up over time, with the most demanding savings coming later'.
He added that this would 'begin the process of showing how we realise the challenge of finding £15 billion to £20 billion of savings” in the period up to 2014, according to the Financial Times.
The savings are designed to help the NHS cope with greater demand for its services from the UK's ageing population and the higher cost of drugs and treatment because of medical advances."

More than 200 million women worldwide want contraceptives, but don't have access to them, according to an editorial published in the British medical journal, Lancet. That results in 76 million unintended pregnancies every year.
If those women had access to free condoms or other birth control methods, that could slow rates of population growth, possibly easing the pressure on the environment, the editors say."

Maybe we might ask what EMPLOYERS are looking for if we're looking for EMPLOYEES?

"However, difficulties in completing the first-level Hines Building space for the 89-seat restaurant kept it from opening for the summer festival season. Gawkowski had planned to have the Subway open prior to Muskegon Bike Time in mid-July.
However, his opening comes just prior to Baker College of Muskegon's unveiling of the Culinary Institute of Michigan, one block south on Third Street. By the end of the month, Baker's professional food school will have up to 400 students and staff -- all of which are new, potential downtown customers for a shop like Subway."
