Gospel According to Apostle Barack compares Obama to Jesus | The Daily Caller
The book’s thesis is that Obama is not just the 43rd president of the United States.
Much more than that, he’s an apostle akin to Martin Luther King, Jr. or even Jesus Christ.

Believing in activist government means your work is neverfinished.
You pass a new law that you think combats injustice andinefficiency.
Then human nature kicks in and, with greatdisapprobation, you discover that injustice and inefficiency stillexist.
So you pass another law, then another.
And with no MittRomney there to stop you, the Circle of Regulatory Lifecontinues.

The Edge of the Abyss
The Edge of the Abyss - Mark Steyn - National Review Online
In order to avoid the public humiliation of a failed bond auction, the U.S. Treasury sells 70 percent of the debt it issues to the Federal Reserve — which is to say the left hand of the U.S. government is borrowing money from the right hand of the U.S. government.
It’s government as a Nigerian e-mail scam, with Ben Bernanke playing the role of the dictator’s widow with $4 trillion under her bed that she’s willing to wire to Timmy Geithner as soon as he sends her his bank-account details.
If that’s all a bit too technical, here’s the gist: There’s nothing holding the joint up.

One way or another, you're fucked. Temporary employment as we know it is unlikely to survive Obamacare, at least as it is currently structured.
That's not my opinion, that's what temp agency heads said to Congress.
I suggest you read the entire transcript.
These guys have a pretty good idea of how Obamacare will fuck their industry and, by extension, you.
But don't worry about them.
Maybe they're full of shit.
Maybe you'll be fine.
Or maybe you're fucked. but hey, that's what you voted for.

US homeownership rate falls to a 17-year low of 65.3% in Q3 as ‘homeownership bubble’ continues to deflate
Carpe Diem | AEIdeas
Comment: The political obsession with homeownership starting in the mid-1990s raised the U.S. homeownership rate from below 64% in 1994 to an artificial level above 69% by 2004, but obviously failed to create a homeownership rate that was sustainable in the long run.
Government housing policies did increase the homeownership rate in the short-run, but in the process turned good renters into bad homeowners, created a housing bubble, waves of foreclosures, and a subsequent housing meltdown and financial crisis.

The Service Employees International Union backed the constitutional amendment plan that would have locked the unionization scheme into the constitution and preserved the $6 million a year it takes from the Medicaid checks of the elderly and disabled in Michigan.
But the SEIU's scheme should now end in February when the current union contract expires.

I'd actually go further than that. It's not just Eva Longoria who doesn't need a tax break -- it's her entire industry, which has enjoyed favorable tax treatment in all sorts of ways, at both the federal and state levels, for years.
And now, with the federal government and the states in parlous financial condition, it's time for those fat cats to shoulder more of the burden.
Why should burger flippers at Wendy's have to cover the national debt while Hollywood moguls enjoy yachts, swimming pools and private jets?
