False Memories of Fabricated Political Events

False Memories of Fabricated Political Events by Steven Frenda, Eric Knowles, William Saletan, Elizabeth Loftus :: SSRN
"In the largest false memory study to date, 5,269 participants were asked about their memories for three true and one of five fabricated political events.
Each fabricated event was accompanied by a photographic image purportedly depicting that event. Approximately half the participants falsely remembered that the false event happened, with 27% remembering that they saw the events happen on the news.
Political orientation appeared to influence the formation of false memories, with conservatives more likely to falsely remember seeing Barack Obama shaking hands with the president of Iran, and liberals more likely to remember George W. Bush vacationing with a baseball celebrity during the Hurricane Katrina disaster.
A follow-up study supported the explanation that events are more easily implanted in memory when they are congruent with a person's preexisting attitudes and evaluations, in part because attitude-congruent false events promote feelings of recognition and familiarity, which in turn interfere with source attributions."

Higher Premiums, Deductibles Expose Obama's Whopper

Higher Premiums, Deductibles Expose Obama's Whopper - Investors.com
"'Already, the Affordable Care Act is helping to slow the growth of health-care costs," the president claimed Tuesday.
This ranks as one of the biggest State of the Union whoppers ever told.
In fact, not only are health-care costs climbing, but employers are also shifting those costs onto the very "middle-class" families Obama spent much of his speech championing.
Since ObamaCare was enacted, family health-insurance premiums on average have soared $3,000, according to the Kaiser Family Foundation."

President Obama's Energy Security Fund Is Job-Killing Cap-Andd-Tax Plan

President Obama's Energy Security Fund Is Job-Killing Cap-Andd-Tax Plan - Investors.com:
"A nonexistent crisis is a terrible thing to waste, and in justifying his proposal for a cap-and-tax scheme, President Obama claimed in his State Of The Union that "the 12 hottest years on record have all come in the last 15."
He was lying.
The fact is, according to new data released quietly last October by Britain's Met Office, the world's natural post-Ice Age warming trend stopped about 16 years ago.
From the beginning of 1997 until August 2012, there was no discernible rise in aggregate global temperatures."

Obama’s Most Audacious SOTU Lie

The American Spectator : Obama’s Most Audacious SOTU Lie
: "It is difficult to say with certainly which of the many whoppers President Obama told tonight took the most crust to utter, but my money is going on this assertion, made a few minutes into the speech: “Already, the Affordable Care Act is helping to slow the growth of health care costs.” I know “Orwellian” has now become rather hackneyed, but there is simply no other adjective that better describes this statement. It is not merely a lie. It is the precise opposite of the truth. It is just as absurd as “war is peace” or “freedom is slavery.”"

“No human being is illegal.”"

"BE A 2013 LIMITED GOVERNMENT CAMPAIGN PARTNER!

My mission is to promote the principles of limited government, individual freedom and free market solutions in urban, left-leaning communities.

It is especially in these communities where we must inform, equip, and empower Americans to get involved with the political process on the conservative side!

It is also time that we take on the NAACP, National Urban League, Rainbow Push, National Action Network, Congressional Black Caucus and other racist, divisive socialist organizations.
To-date they remain unchallenged on the grassroots level in urban communities.

Finally, we must offer a tangible “underground railroad” to those who have been trapped in big government laboratories for decades.

Upcoming are many events designed to combat the suppression and promote the education."

Why High-Speed Rail Is a Ridiculous Fantasy

Why High-Speed Rail Is a Ridiculous Fantasy | Cato @ Liberty
"Here’s the real problem: America is a two-dimensional place, and we have a 4-million-mile network of highways and streets that allows anyone to get from practically anywhere to practically anywhere else in the contiguous 48 states.
Rail lines are one dimensional, and what is worse they serve only selected points on that one-dimensional line. The number of people going from one point served by trains on a line to another point will be a small fraction of the total travelers in any given corridor.
Nor can trains compete with planes, which are not only faster but save money by requiring far less infrastructure.
Airlines can respond to changes in travel patterns by altering air routes overnight, but building new rail lines is phenomenally expensive in time, money, and energy.
(Rail advocates never mention the energy costs of constructing rail lines, which is typically scores if not hundreds of times greater than any potential annual energy savings from operations.)"

Man Sues TSA For $5 Million Following Peanut Butter Arrest Alex Jones' Infowars: There's a war on for your mind!
"An Arizona man who was arrested at the behest of the TSA, following a wisecrack over a jar of peanut butter is suing the federal agency for $5 million.

“The liquid oil that separated from the peanut butter had them baffled,” Hannibal told the New York Daily News.
Hannibal then commented to his wife and children that “They’re looking to confiscate my explosives,” as TSA agents inspected the 16-ounce jar of “Crazy Richards” chunky peanut butter."

"Even though Michigan has become a right-to-work state, labor unions are fighting for their lives in such a way that exposes their true motives.
Rather than being an advocate for the workers, some public sector unions in Michigan are exposing their greedy ways in their efforts to line the pockets of union bosses at the expense of the workers they represent."

New Study Blames Community Reinvestment Act For Mortgage Defaults

New Study Blames Community Reinvestment Act For Mortgage Defaults - Investors.com
"Democrats and the media insist the Community Reinvestment Act, the anti-redlining law beefed up by President Clinton, had nothing to do with the subprime mortgage crisis and recession.
But a new study by the respected National Bureau of Economic Research finds,
"Yes, it did.
We find that adherence to that act led to riskier lending by banks."
Added NBER: "There is a clear pattern of increased defaults for loans made by these banks in quarters around the (CRA) exam.
Moreover, the effects are larger for loans made within CRA tracts," or predominantly low-income and minority areas"

New study confirms economy was destroyed by Democrat policies

New study confirms economy was destroyed by Democrat policies - National Conservative | Examiner.com
"A new study from the widely respected National Bureau of Economic Research released this week has confirmed beyond question that the left's race-baiting attacks on the housing market (the Community Reinvestment Act--enacted under Carter, made shockingly more aggressive under Clinton) is directly responsible for imploding the housing market and destroying the economy.
The study painstakingly sorted through failed home loans that caused the housing market collapse and identified an overwhelming connection between them and CRA mortgages."
