Major Ruling: Supreme Court Says Prayers at Government Meetings are Constitutional

Major Ruling: Supreme Court Says Prayers at Government Meetings are Constitutional:
"Today’s Supreme Court ruling is in line with a previous ruling in 1983 on a similar issue. The Nebraska legislature had the practice of an opening prayer and found itself at the center of a lawsuit. At that time, the court upheld the prayer practice stating that it was not in violation of the First Amendment and is, indeed, part of the nation’s fabric. "

House Will Soon Move a Bill to End One of the NSA’s Most Controversial Activities | TheBlaze.com:
"The House Judiciary Committee on Wednesday will consider a bipartisan bill that would stop the National Security Agency from the bulk collection of phone data, an activity that riled up millions of Americans when it was disclosed through a leak by former NSA contractor Edward Snowden.
The committee will consider the USA Freedom Act on Wednesday afternoon, which would also require intelligence agencies to more aggressively filter out data from Americans that is accidentally captured."

"Climate Disruption"! That's the ticket!---------Scientists Label White House Climate Report ‘Pseudoscience’

Scientists Label White House Climate Report ‘Pseudoscience’ | The Daily Caller:
"“This National Assessment is much closer to pseudoscience than it is to science,” wrote scientists Patrick Michaels and Paul Knappenberger of the libertarian Cato Institute in their comments submitted to the Obama administration.
“It clearly believes that virtually everything in our society is tremendously dependent on the surface temperature, and, because of that, we are headed towards certain and inescapable destruction, unless we take its advice and decarbonize our economy, pronto,” Michaels and Knappenberger added."

Detroit "leaders" not digging state pooolice--------Visitors deserve a safe Belle Isle

Editorial: Visitors deserve a safe Belle Isle | The Detroit News:
"Some members of the Detroit City Council aren’t happy about the significant increase of police presence on Belle Isle now that it’s a state park.
Yet the police are addressing one of the primary complaints Detroiters had about the island before the state took it over:
It wasn’t always a comfortable place for family leisure and recreation.
....City Council President Brenda Jones says troopers need sensitivity training, and she has repeated social media reports that hundreds of arrests have been made on the island, which came under state control Feb. 10.
But Michigan State Police numbers paint a different picture.
Troopers have reported 55 arrests out of 329 traffic stops from Feb. 1 to April 27.
Among those arrests were 25 fugitives who should have been behind bars."

Tax payers are doomed!---------------Club owner wins fight, $1.5 million verdict against New Brunswick in naming of sports bar

buckfostonClub owner wins fight, $1.5 million verdict against New Brunswick in naming of sports bar | NJ.com:
Lawrence Blatterfein, a dedicated Yankees fan who owns other clubs in New Brunswick, wanted to open a sports bar in New Brunswick in 2011 and name it Buck Foston’s Road House, which is a twist on the sports rivalry between the Yankee’s and the Boston Red Sox.
But New Brunswick officials opposed granting Blatterfein a liquor license for the new sports bar, which would have been at Routes 1 and 18 in the former Benningan’s Restaurant.
.....But Cahill said today that the name was not the reason why he and the city council opposed the sports bar—it was its location at one of the heaviest traveled intersections in the city.
Cahill, who testified during the trial, said he was disappointed with the verdict but, “while it would have been better to win, the verdict was not for the amount Mr. Blatterfein was seeking” and the sports bar never opened.
The mayor said Blatterfein was asking for $7 million to $10 million in damages.

Another "leader" Just being "Detroit"-------Sex acts by Otis Mathis a terrible example to kids

Sex acts by Otis Mathis a terrible example to kids | Detroit Free Press | freep.com:
We are asked the question so much that it becomes overwhelming: What the heck is wrong with Detroit?
But if we want people to stop asking the question, then we need to stop being the Detroit that begs it.
Take, for instance, the latest scandal connected to the Detroit Public Schools.
The debate has been over whether formerDPS board president Otis Mathis should have resigned after exhibiting horrendous behavior and poor judgment.
Mathis quit after admitting to "inappropriate actions" with his hand between his legs behind his desk while the district's female superintendent sat opposite him trying to have a conversation.

He expressed deep regret and then, inexplicably, asked for his resignation back, buoyed by the comments of fellow board member Reverend David Murray, who dismissed the behavior of the 55-year-old Mathis this way:
"He's a young man; maybe he didn't know it was offensive to her ... That's just the way it is."

What THE hell?! "He's a young man?!"

More Fireworks: Carney Indicates White House May Not Cooperate With Special Benghazi Investigation | Video | TheBlaze.com:
"Carney took similar question several times about whether the administration would cooperate.
He was asked if the administration considered the new committee legitimate, and said he declined to speculate. ABC’s Jonathan Karl later asked directly if the administration would cooperate, to which Carney declined to give a yes or no answer.
“What I’m not going to do is speculate about what might come and how it’s going to play out,” Carney said after making a comment that elicited laughter from the White House press corps. “What I will remind you of is our cooperation of our history on this and many others.”

Answer: "No"---------Can We Please Hold Blacks to the Same Standard as Donald Sterling?

Articles: Can We Please Hold Blacks to the Same Standard as Donald Sterling?:
With Sterling’s come-uppance, America has witnessed the reality that for a white person openly to express negative feelings about blacks is virtually “the kiss of death.”
......Question: If an overwhelming majority of Americans condemn whites who make racist statements, when are we going to hold blacks to the same standard?
Are blacks perceived to be racist?
Although polls cannot readily plumb actual racist sentiments, they can tell us if there is a perception that this or that group, or society as a whole, is racist.
....According to this poll, 37% of American adults think “most blacks” are racists, compared to 15% who believe the same about “most whites,” and 18% who say that about “most Hispanics.”
Blacks in the poll were more likely to say that “most blacks” are racist (31%), compared to 24% who harbored this view of “most whites,” and 15% who felt that way about “most Hispanics.”
The list of prominent blacks whose racist comments are on record is too long to be adequately cited.
Some blacks have uttered far more egregious racist comments than others.
Calling for the murder of white babies, for example, is a far graver breach of civil talk than asking for the creation of an all-black professional basketball league.
Nevertheless, the “conventional wisdom” among academic social scientists is that blacks cannot be racists. Only whites are racists.

Imagine if FOX did this----- The racists at MSNBC celebrate Cinco de Mayo by showing us what they think of Mexicans

Politics: The racists at MSNBC celebrate Cinco de Mayo by showing us what they think of Mexicans | Best of Cain:
Tequila and Sombreros!
From Al Sharpton, to Melissa Harris Perry, to the uni-monikered wunderkind named Toure, someone at MSNBC yells "racism" pretty much every hour.
These people love charging others with "racism" so much, that they simply can't help themselves.
They do it the way news radio does traffic and weather: "every ten minutes, on the eights."
So, yesterday, when MSNBC decided to announce the arrival of Cinco de Mayo, they did it with all the respect, sensitivity, and class you would expect from such a racially concious group of "progressives."
....Oh wait, no they didn't.
They did it by slapping a sombrero on producer Louis Burgdorf and having him prance around - guzzling tequila - while shaking a pair of maracas.

Obama's highway tolls take cash, time and privacy:

Obama's highway tolls take cash, time and privacy: Column:
"Tolls are plan B. But they'll also make the driving experience worse, and less private.
If states set up old-fashioned toll booths on the interstate, as a number already have for bridges and tunnels, you'll have to slow down to pay. (Which, ironically, will waste gas.)
Politicians will undoubtedly like it, though, because all those toll booth employees will be government employees who can probably be counted on to re-elect incumbents.
Of course, this is the 21st century, so we'll let drivers who opt in use radio frequency chips or bar codes to whiz by sensors that withdraw money from your bank account.
But that's not really an improvement because it also means that the government will have a handy computerized record of where you go and when.
It might not save time, either, as E-ZPass lanes clog up, too."

Gonna be HUGE!----Monica Lewinsky Writes About Her Affair with President Clinton

Exclusive: Monica Lewinsky Writes About Her Affair with President Clinton | Vanity Fair:
"After 10 years of virtual silence (“So silent, in fact,” she writes, “that the buzz in some circles has been that the Clintons must have paid me off; why else would I have refrained from speaking out?
I can assure you that nothing could be further from the truth”),
Lewinsky, 40, says it is time to stop “tiptoeing around my past—and other people’s futures.
I am determined to have a different ending to my story.
I’ve decided, finally, to stick my head above the parapet so that I can take back my narrative and give a purpose to my past.
(What this will cost me, I will soon find out.)”"

It’s Official: The IRS Will Raid Your Tax Data Through Obamacare | TheBlaze.com:
"The Internal Revenue Service this week will publish a final rule requiring Obamacare health insurance exchanges to hand over key personal data to the IRS, which will use the information to implement the tax aspects of the controversial health care law.
The IRS rule covers health exchanges that sell insurance to individuals, and it takes effect this year. That means people enrolled in an Obamacare exchange this year will have their information given to the IRS as soon as it’s needed for tax purposes."

"No tolerance" gone crazy-----Detroit teacher fired after breaking up fight with broom

Detroit teacher fired after breaking up fight with broom - Fox 2 News Headlines:
"DETROIT (WJBK) - A Detroit teacher has been fired after a cell phone video surfaced of her breaking up a fight between two students with a broom.
In the video, the two male students are fighting for at least half a minute before the teacher intervenes.
Several students can be seen standing by as the two fight, knocking over desks.
When the teacher does intervene, she appears to strike one of the students on the back with a broom multiple times.
The student backs off, but then the other student runs back towards him and the fight continues.
The fight finally appears to end up when a student steps in and pulls the two apart.
The video ends moments later.
Now, the Pershing High School teacher is out of a job as the school district says it does not tolerate child abuse."

China plans for North Korean regime collapse leaked

China plans for North Korean regime collapse leaked - Telegraph:
Beijing's lack of faith in rule of Kim Jong-un exposed in contingency plans to detain key North Korean leaders, set up border refugee camps and respond to "foreign forces"
China has drawn up detailed contingency plans for the collapse of the North Korean government, suggesting that Beijing has little faith in the longevity of Kim Jong-un’s regime.
Documents drawn up by planners from China’s People’s Liberation Army that were leaked to Japanese media include proposals for detaining key North Korean leaders and the creation of refugee camps on the Chinese side of the frontier in the event of an outbreak of civil unrest in the secretive state.
........China, which is North Korea’s sole remaining significant supporter, also refused to export any crude oil over its border to the North in the first three months of the year."

Americans now ‘racist’ for waving American flag

Americans now ‘racist’ for waving American flag:
"Americans now are being blasted as “racist” for the simple act of waving an American flag.
It happened Monday in California to a small group of protesters who waved U.S. flags in front of a school where officials had banned the practice to avoid violence threatened by Hispanic students celebrating Cinco de Mayo.
The controversy developed in 2010, when school officials ordered students not to wear U.S. flag-themed shirts on the Mexican holiday.
The ban has been upheld by a federal appeals court.
The controversy brought a small group of protesters out Monday, and the community reacted immediately.
“What’s wrong with these white people holding up American flags in Morgan hill??? Racist a–holes,” wrote Gia Lee in a feed monitored by Twitchy."

6 Environmental Truths the Left Conveniently Ignores:

What?! Mexican Army Invades America Through Arizona!

What?! Mexican Army Invades America Through Arizona!:
"It is hardly news anymore that Mexican citizens, emboldened by the left’s embrace of amnesty, are crossing America’s southern border with increasingly brazenness. This week, however, authorities in Arizona confirmed the U.S. was actually invaded by a number of soldiers with the Mexican Army earlier this year.
The apparently rogue unit of armed forces was tasked with patrolling the Mexican side of the Arizona border, reports indicate. According to a letter to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Oklahoma Sen. Tom Coburn alleges that soldiers within the unit crossed into Arizona and pointed their weapons at agents with the U.S. Border Patrol."

Judge Jeanine BLASTS Obama on Benghazi: ‘You Condemn Anyone Who Says Something Negative About Islam’:
"Mr. President, none of us want to believe that our president would let Americans die, but the arrogance, the failure to act, the lies, the cover-up make it clear that you, Mr. President, have defrauded the American people. You, Mr. President, have violated your constitutional oath. You have not faithfully executed your duties in the Office of the President. "
