So much wrong here.... expect to hear that giant sucking sound of your children's money going to the gal who helped destroy Muskegon Heights--------Muskegon Heights city manager named to Flint post

No mention of gross fiscal mismanagement.
Or incompetence.
Or criminal actions by city "leaders".
How ya gonna fix it if ya don't get how it got broke?

Muskegon Heights city manager named to Flint post | Crain's Detroit Business:
"Flint's state-appointed emergency manager has named Muskegon Heights city manager Natasha Henderson to the same job in Flint.
...The city of about 100,000 went under state emergency control in December 2011 because of persistent municipal budget deficits.
The birthplace of General Motors has suffered in recent decades as auto industry employment has shrunk because of stronger international competition and automation of vehicle production.
"The city should expect the best," Earley said at the reception. "Unquestionably, she is the right person at the right time — now and in the future."
Henderson, 37, starts work Feb. 23, The Flint Journal reported.
At the reception, she said she can see glimpses of what the city can become in the future, including a "beautiful" downtown.
"There are so many opportunities," she said. "I'm definitely up for the challenge. ... When I walked in City Hall here, I felt like I wanted to be here.""

How they "think"---Brandeis Students Rally Around Cop-Hating Student

Brandeis Students Rally Around Cop-Hating Student | The Daily Caller:
"Students at Brandeis University spent Monday effusively supporting Khadijah Lynch, their fellow student who took to Twitter to celebrate the brutal, execution-style murder of two New York Police Department officers this weekend.
“i have no sympathy for the nypd officers who were murdered today,” Lynch had spouted on Saturday afternoon.
“lmao, all i just really dont have sympathy for the cops who were shot. i hate this racist fucking country,” the junior also tweeted. (RELATED: Fancypants College Student: ‘No Sympathy’ For Brutally Executed Cops)
Another Brandeis student, Daniel Mael, publicized these and other fanatical tweets from Lynch’s then-public Twitter account on Truth Revolt.
On Monday, a throng of angry Brandeis students criticized Mael.
Some suggested that the Brandeis administration should punish him for citing Lynch’s public tweets.

The poles are 'not melting', according to a global warming expert

The poles are 'not melting', according to a global warming expert Dr Benny Peiser | Nature | News | Daily Express:
"In fact, the poles are "much more stable" than climate scientists once predicted and could even be much thicker than previously thought.
For years, scientists have suggested that both poles are melting at an alarming rate because of warming temperatures - dangerously raising the Earth's sea levels while threatening the homes of Arctic and Antarctic animals.
But the uncertainty surrounding climate change and the polar ice caps reached a new level this month when research suggested the ice in the Antarctic is actually growing.
And there could even be evidence to suggest the polar bear population is not under threat.
Ted Maksym, an oceanographer at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution in Massachusetts, conducted a study in which he sent an underwater robot into the depths of the Antarctic sea to measure the ice.
His results contradicted previous assumptions made by scientists and showed that the ice is actually much thicker than has been predicted over the last 20 years."

MILWAUKEE, Wis. — Graeme Zielinski was fired as the spokesperson of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin in 2013 after he used Twitter to compare Republican Gov. Scott Walker to serial killer and cannibal Jeffrey Dahmer.
He’s at it again.

Meteorological mafia------NOAAgate: how 'ocean acidification' could turn out to be the biggest con since Michael Mann's Hockey Stick

NOAAgate: how 'ocean acidification' could turn out to be the biggest con since Michael Mann's Hockey Stick - Breitbart:
"Christmas has come a couple of days early for climate sceptics, in what may well prove to be one of the biggest blows to the Global Warming religion since Climategate.
This time the pillar of green faith which has been rudely dismantled by sceptical investigators is an alleged phenomenon known as “ocean acidification.”
For years this has been touted by environmentalists as possibly the greatest threat to the planet after “global warming.”
....But, as Watts Up With That reports new evidence unearthed by an inquisitive graduate student suggests that “ocean acidification” may be a scientific fraud to rank with the great “man-made-global warming” scare.
....Mysteriously, the chart only began in 1988.
But Wallace knew for a fact that there were oceanic pH measurements dating back to at least 100 years earlier and was puzzled that this solid data had been ignored, in favour of computer modelled projections.
When Wallace emailed his query to Feely and Sabine, however, he found them less than helpful.
Sabine replied that it was inappropriate for Wallace to impugn the “motives or quality of our science” and warned that if he continued in this manner “you will not last long in your career.”
Having provided Wallace with a few links – all of which turned out to be useless – he concluded his email by saying “I hope you will refrain from contacting me again.”
This response, again, calls to mind the behaviour of Michael Mann in response to queries from Steve McIntyre about where to find the raw data for his Hockey Stick. Mann was similarly obfuscatory, rude and dismissive.
Undeterred, Wallace eventually got hold of the instrumental records which Feely and Sabine had chosen to exclude from their graph of doom and plotted a time series chart of his own, covering the period from 1910 to the present.
His results were surprising.
What they suggest is that global acidification is a figment of Feely’s and Sabine’s imagination: there has been NO reduction in oceanic pH levels in the last century.
Wallace says: “Oceanic acidification may seem like a minor issue to some but, besides being wrong, it is a crucial leg to the entire narrative of ‘human-influenced climate change’.”
He adds: “In whose professional world is it acceptable to omit the majority of the data and also not disclose the omission to any other soul or Congressional body?”"

Obamacare's Christmas surprise

REP. MARK MEADOWS: Obamacare's Christmas surprise - Washington Times:
"If you like your health care plan, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has a Christmas surprise for you!
When will this new present arrive?
December 25th.
In an ongoing effort to keep Obamacare numbers elevated, CMS has embarked on the next step of its government takeover of healthcare.
That’s right, the government will choose your plan, perhaps limit access to your doctor, and ultimately make the decision on what is “best” for you.
Not to worry, just like Lady Justice, who wears a blindfold when determining guilt or innocence, CMS will use a blindfold to pick your plan.
The agency will select your plan without knowing your medical history.
They will do so without knowing if you are currently undergoing treatment or working with a specific doctor.
They will do so without knowing your financial status.
Despite the fact that the millions of people who already enrolled chose the plan that they believed was best for them.
CMS has laid the perfect trap:
Sign up at healthcare.gov one time in your life and we will never let you go.

100 Years Ago Today Christmas Truce Halted World War I

100 Years Ago Today Christmas Truce Halted World War I - Breitbart:
"One Hundred years ago the Christmas Truce of 1914 was a spontaneous cease fire and day of Christian Brotherhood for both sides of the No Man’s Land along the Western Front.
The event was kept secret by senior military officers and government censors as an embarrassing breakdown in military discipline.
Military recruiters from both the Triple Entente and the Central Powers promised recruits that they would be “Home for Christmas.”
But after five months of war, the Western Front became an entrenched battlefield running almost 600 miles from Belgium Switzerland.
Most of the soldiers were young men from rural villages that had never been away from home.
They were cold, miserable and disillusioned in their three rows of trenches on Christmas Eve of 1914.
All the hype about God and Country were interrupted by the reality of rats, lice and endless artillery duels."

CBS2 Exclusive: Jean Mamakos Sues United After Arrest On Flight

CBS2 Exclusive: Jean Mamakos Sues United After Arrest On Flight « CBS New York:
"A Long Island woman claims she was treated like a criminal and pulled off of a flight just because she wanted to change seats.
As CBS2’s Jennifer McLogan reported exclusively, the in-flight fight turned into a three-day stay in jail for the woman.
“They did handcuff me, there were three policemen that dragged me out of the plane,” said Jean Mamakos.
(And did they tell you what they were charging you with?)
 They said trespassing.”
Mamakos, 68, of Huntington, held up her jeans to show where they were ripped, she says as she was pulled down the aisle of the plane.
She never made it to her ski trip in Alaska.
Police in Seattle, where Mamakos and her ski club were changing planes, were called aboard the United aircraft to arrest her, McLogan reported.
One of the passengers recorded the incident.
Officer: “Do you want to come willingly or be arrested for trespass?”
Mamakos: “Whatever you have to do.”
Officer: “OK.”
Mamakos said she resisted the arrest because she had paid thousands in airfare for the round trip flight, and claims unfriendly flight attendants overreacted when she tried to move to an empty row after the doors closed for take off.
It was the third leg of a long cross-country trip, and she hoped to sleep.
One of the stewardesses said ‘Oh no you don’t.’
Which stopped me in my tracks,” she said.
So Mamakos moved toward the front of the plane.
“So I went forward and then another stewardess came along and said ‘Give me your credit card,'” she said.
Mamakos, a registered nurse, was in an empty exit row emergency seat and was told this would be a costly upgrade."

Presidential Error

By Tammy Derouin

I take it personally when I see my country, my home, being destroyed from within.  We entrust every individual who has been elected to the highest office, by the people, to protect our homeland and uphold the law of the land, the U.S. Constitution.  When that individual fails to do his job properly by not putting the interests of the U.S. citizens and homeland first, we have a presidential error.
Our Pres-a-king has intentionally weakened our security, making us vulnerable to attacks from our enemies inside and outside of our borders.  He relentlessly attacks our foundation, the very document which states our rights and freedoms; freedoms which come from God, not man. The land of the free is fast becoming the land of the enslaved.

Christmas is upon us.  It is the first holiday, the most important holiday, and the holiday which no others would exist without His presence.   If we allow one document of liberty to disappear, others will soon follow.  Holidays will have little to no meaning, if they exist at all.

Merry Christmas to all and to all a free life.

DTE Energy wants to raise electricity rates | Crain's Detroit Business:
"DTE Energy wants to raise electricity rates by 3.2 percent.
The Detroit News reports today that residential customers would see an average increase of nearly $10 a month.
The request was filed Friday at the Michigan Public Service Commission.

The utility says it needs to charge more for electricity to pay for billions in improvements in the last four years."

Scenes from Putin’s Economic Meltdown

Scenes from Putin’s Economic Meltdown - Alec Luhn - POLITICO Magazine:
"Get the hot deals while they last!
Whatever’s on your holiday shopping list—buy now, it may never be this cheap again!
In a single day this past week, the ruble exchange rate dropped from 59 to 80 to the dollar, further eroding confidence in the Russian economy and ensuring a deep recession next year—but also briefly turning Moscow into the shopping capital of the world.
Although this past week’s currency crisis marked the worst fall for the ruble since Russia defaulted on its debt in 1998, no one was waiting in bread lines or starting a run on the bank.
Instead, anyone with any cash at all went on a buying spree.
....The ruble has lost over half its value this year as falling oil prices and Western sanctions over the Ukraine crisis hit Russia’s energy-dependent economy.
But a drop of 10 percent on Monday and another 10 percent on what has come to be known as “Black Tuesday” further shook consumers, undermined investor confidence and revealed divisions among the country’s elite on how to react.
Nonetheless, Russians’ approval for President Vladimir Putin has remained sky-high.
Buying continued on Wednesday as major electronics chains had yet to raise their prices.
“I apologize; I argued with them, but they sold every last one,” an M.video employee informed a man who was trying to purchase a washing machine. “F—k your apologies,” the man yelled back as he stormed off to complain to a manager."

Bill Prohibiting Gay-To-Straight Therapy Passes In D.C.

Bill Prohibiting Gay-To-Straight Therapy Passes In D.C. | The Daily Caller:
"Washington, D.C. Mayor Vincent Gray signed legislation banning any form of therapy which purports to help gay youth transition to straight on Monday, according to the Human Rights Campaign.
The legislation, termed The Conversation Therapy for Minors Prohibition Amendment Act, was originally passed by the city council without objection on Dec. 2, rendering Washington, D.C. the first city to ban the practice.
New Jersey and California are two states with similar prohibitions.
Similar legislation has been unsuccessfully proposed in over 12 other states.
Licensed mental health providers will no longer be able to offer sexual orientation change therapy to minors in Washington, D.C., based on the bill authored by Councilmember Mary Cheh.
Supporters of the bill claimed that no major medical association endorses conversion therapy.
Some even accused mental health practitioners of lying to families and abusing their power."

Obama's Hitler Youth----Anti-Gun PSA Encourages Kids To Steal Parents' Guns

Anti-Gun PSA Encourages Kids To Steal Parents' Guns | The Daily Caller:
"A provocative public service announcement released by a San Francisco-based production company encourages children to put themselves at risk and commit a slew of crimes by stealing their parents’ guns from home and turning them in at school.
In the anti-gun ad, published Dec. 13 by Sleeper 13 Productions, a boy who appears to be in his early teens is shown walking up the stairs of his home and wandering into his mother’s bedroom.
The boy is shown opening the drawer to his mother’s dresser, where a handgun is hidden.
The boy takes the gun from the dresser and leaves the room. The ad then flashes to his school. Sitting in a classroom, the boy ventures up to his teacher’s desk after the rest of his classmates have left.
The tension building in the scene breaks, and the boy produces the gun from his backpack, slamming it on his startled teacher’s desk.
“Can you take this away? I don’t feel safe with a gun in my house,” the boy says.
What the ad-makers are encouraging is highly illegal and invites danger.
The boy would be guilty of weapons theft, illegal concealed carry and carrying a weapon on school property."

Is Diesel the New Green Fuel?

Is Diesel the New Green Fuel? | Somewhat Reasonable:
Ten thousand professional climate crusaders recently attended yet another Climate Carnival in Lima, Peru.
Did they use green power to minimise their carbon footprint?
No way; massive diesel generators were trucked in on diesel-powered lorries because the local hydro/solar power could not cope.
The delegates were also moved between hotels and the venue in more than 300 diesel buses – few bothered to walk or ride bicycles.
In sunny Spain, the government solar subsidies were so generous that some entrepreneurs managed to produce solar energy for 24 hours per day.
However, inspectors discovered that diesel generators were being operated at night, thus producing great profits in selling “solar” energy to the grid.
Then in “go-green, vote-blue” Britain, wind power is proving so erratic that thousands of reliable diesel generators are being installed by utilities and businesses to maintain power when the grid becomes unstable.

Vandals of UVA’s Phi Kappa Psi house unrepentant

Vandals of UVA’s Phi Kappa Psi house unrepentant
Although the Rolling Stone “gang rape” story at the University of Virginia has fallen apart, the apparent ringleader of the attack on the Phi Kappa Psi house — where the “rape” supposedly occurred — remains undaunted.
Reportedly from a family of privilege, the alleged leader “admitted his role and described the attack his friends carried out in details that match police and eyewitness reports.”
The student agreed to talk to The Times only on the condition that his name wasn’t published, saying he didn’t want police to find him.
“I texted one of my friends and I was like, ‘Let’s throw bottles at the Phi Psi house tonight,’ and she said, ‘Yes!’ I think that the article made it clear that victims at the university have no legitimate channels to take action, and I think vandalism is a completely legitimate form of action when like, legitimate authority is corrupt. I think it was justified,” he said in an interview with The Times.
Asked whether he believed the ends generally justified the means, he casually replied, “Sure.” He also said he is not opposed to “armed revolution” as a means to end what he termed “systemic oppression.”
The student said his group of friends sent an anonymous letter to various news organizations several hours after the attack warning that it was “just the beginning.” The letter threatened to “escalate and provoke until certain demands were met,” including “an immediate revision of university policy mandating expulsion as the only sanction for rape and sexual assault.”
Thus far, there is no definitive word as to whether local law enforcement and the university have undertaken investigations to determine the identities of the vandals, and if there will be charges brought against them.

What is 'Manspreading' and Why are People Angry about It?

What is 'Manspreading' and Why are People Angry about It? - Breitbart
Witness the absurd, offensive, ludicrous spectacle of inanity and stupidity currently surrounding the New York subway: a campaign to stop men sitting comfortably on public transport.
We “manspread,” apparently, which observers have interpreted as “sit in such a way as not to painfully crush the testicles or penis” but which feminists insist is an expression of patriarchal authority.
You could not, as British newspaper columnists like to say, make this shit up.
One heroic social justice warrior took to the subway for a whole weekend, sitting as she imagines men do on the way to work.
I have never seen a man sit quite as absurdly as she suggests, perhaps because I do not frequent public transport.
But even in the dark bars of the London suburbs I trawled as a late teen looking for companionship, filled with desperate masculinity, I never saw such a comically absurd picture as this brave social justice warrior paints.
The manspreading complaint is couched as a response to “rudeness” by men, but it is no such thing: it is pathetic feminist pipsqueakery, the last dying gasp of a movement with nothing to win and nothing to say, determined to abuse and antagonise the male sex at all costs and for whatever perceived or outright imaginary infraction it can conjure from the vicissitudes of everyday life.
It is offensively trivial, and those associated with it ought to be ashamed.
