He has above 80 percent support in recent polling, so clearly, the Russian people aren’t holding him responsible for their financial woes.

General Douglas MacArthur famously observed that “old soldiers never die, they simply fade away;” a proposition that Eisenhower “an old soldier” disproved shortly after by being elected to two terms as president of the United States.
For years realists in the global warming debate have been waiting for the global warming hype to do one or the other, either die or simply fade away but neither eventuality has yet occurred.

Climate change is the mythical postal service of the sciences, “Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds.” Their appointed rounds being to deliver modern society back to a new dark ages where reason is held hostage to political and ideological agendas and human progress is interpreted as returning us to wind mills and draconian servitude to nonsensical science and economic policies.

Reality should have killed this drunken stumbling beast long ago but it is a sign of the age we live in, or perhaps the age in which we have always lived; that control of certain institutions allows driven people to control, if nothing else, the popular narrative. Reality killed the global warming narrative long ago but the anthropocentric nature of modern culture won’t let it die. It is not just that the climate change cult has infused itself into all aspects of  society; it is that society’s tolerance of political correctness stifles reasonable discussion on the issue.

The false “climate change” narrative continues to control political agendas simply because so many accept what they know to be false or at least corrupted because it either benefits “their side” in the wider political debate or they fear the political correct Gestapo.

A perfect example of this is Al Gore, who rode political defeat to stardom on the green chariot of modern progressivism. Over the years Gore’s advocacy of a false and fraudulent science has allowed him to ignobly achieve many noble accomplishments and accumulate riches beyond that of  even the dreaded one percenters.world....

The Colorado-based Gazette has responded to questions about why the first report of the detonation of an explosive device originally indicated that it happened outside a Colorado Springs barbershop.

Initially, the Gazette reported on a “possible” explosion as evidenced by the permalink. 

The title of the original story changed from “Possible explosion heard outside Colorado Springs barbershop” to “FBI looking for man regarding explosion near Colorado Springs NAACP office.” 

As evidenced by adiagram of the building also provided by the Colorado Gazette, the initial title is clearly a better reflection of the incident.

When asked about the title change on Twitter, the Gazette responded by saying that it is "not uncommon for us to change articles that are a working story. We got more details." 

When pressed about the details, the Gazette responded, "Law enforcement, including FBI, acknowledged NAACP could be target. 

'We keep all possibilities open,' agent said."

At the time of this writing, the Gazette has not responded to questions about why the FBI and local law enforcement believed that the NAACP "could be" a target.

George F. Kennan was a United States diplomat serving as deputy head of mission in Moscow in 1946. The war was over and the entire world was in the process of rebuilding and moving on. One very large obstacle was Stalin and the Soviet Union. The U.S. Treasury department’s International Monetary Fund and World Bank were gaining traction, but they couldn’t get the Russians to support it. The Treasury Department asked Kennan to explain what the deal was.

Kennan’s response would later be dubbed “The Long Telegram”. It was an 8,000 word communique that warned of Russia’s plans for the future of Europe.

“The main element of any United States policy toward the Soviet Union must be a long-term, patient but firm and vigilant containment of Russian expansive tendencies … "


This is an excellent lesson in history.  I would highly advise watching.  If we do not know our history we will repeat it.  Putin knows exactly what he is doing, all dictators do.

A bizarre report from NBC News by Ayman Mohyeldin this morning broadcast during Meet the Press highlighted the city of Dearborn, Michigan, which has the highest Muslim population concentration of any city in America, as a beacon of American Muslim integration.

As Jeffrey Myers at Newsbusters observed, Mohyeldin blamed U.S. foreign policy for increased radicalization inside the Muslim community:

For some, radicalization and attacks against the U.S. stems from anger at American foreign policies and wars in the Middle East. While the overwhelming majority of muslims have successfully assimilated and integrated into U.S. society, the challenge remains to find individuals who may be on the fringes of the communities and are also alienated.

There are some curious omissions from Mohyeldin’s report that directly question his claims of successful assimilation and integration of Muslims in Dearborn.

For instance, last August The Intercept published an internal assessment by the National Counterterrorism Center showing that Dearborn — a town of less than 100,000 — had the second largest number of known terrorism suspects in the country behind New York City.

Needless to say, the Muslim community in Dearborn expressed outrage at the NCTC’s data analysis. And despite the fact the NCTC report was the Obama administration’s own document and the finding was the expression of raw data, Detroit U.S. Attorney Barbara McQuade joined local activists at a news conference to denounce those findings.

Also missing from Mohyeldin’s Meet the Press report is that the most influential Islamic cleric for Western supporters of terrorist groups, including ISIS and Jabhat al-Nusra (Al-Qaeda’s official Syrian affiliate), is Dearborn-based Ahmad Jibril.

As the Detroit Free Press reported last May:

Jibril, 43, acts as a “cheerleader … a benevolent father figure” to foreign fighters motivated by Islam, said the report released last month by the International Centre for the Study of Radicalisation and Political Violence. Based in London, the center is a partnership with five universities and for the past year has been studying the role that fighters from the West are playing in the Syrian war. Titled “#Greenbirds: Measuring Importance and Influence in Syrian Foreign Fighter Networks,” the report created a database of 190 fighters from the West (Europe, the U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand).

Using social media sites, Jibril has built up a following among fighters who look to him for religious guidance, said the report.

“He provides the political and theological justification these guys are looking for,” said Peter Neumann, a professor of security studies at King’s College in London and director of the International Centre, who was one of three authors of the report. “He’s someone who’s important to the movement. … He articulates what they think. He provides comfort.”
