You Won’t Believe Why Obama Said the ‘Supreme Leader’ of Iran Should be Trusted with Nukes:
"At issue right now is Iran’s development of nuclear power. It is feared that if this Islamic state obtains such power, they will use it to develop nuclear weapons to be used against the United States and Israel .
Despite the fact that the U.S. has supposedly been in negotiations with Iran to try to stop the development of nuclear weapons, Obama made a frightening statement about why the Iranians should be trusted with nuclear power and not using such power to make a nuclear weapon."

Obama Has Sharp Words for Staples CEO, Businesses Blaming Obamacare for Slashes in Employee Hours | Video | TheBlaze.com:
"President Barack Obama offered stinging words to the CEO of Staples and other corporations that have placed blame on his signature health care law as the reason they must cut employee hours.
Reacting to Staples telling workers they are not allowed to work more than 25 hours a week, Obama contended there is “no reason for an employer who is not currently providing health care to their workers to discourage them from either getting health insurance on the job or being able to avail themselves of the Affordable Care Act.”

The A-10 “Warthog” has been used since the 1970s and is widely popular among ground troops, because they can see it flying — low, slow and protected — and its guns make an intimidating sound that they say affects enemy morale independent of all effects.

At George Washington University, here’s what you recommend when students choose not attend a sexual violence information session:
Make the session mandatory.
That is what GW Student Association President Nick Gumas suggested to a Board of Trustees meeting last Friday.
“For many incoming students, understandably college is the first time that they hear about sexual assault and sexual violence, and we want to make sure again everyone’s prepared on day one,” Gumas said.
Gumas pointed to several “high-profile” incidents of sexual abuse on campus last semester, including a sexual assault reported at the Phi Sigma Kappa townhouse, and said trainings should focus on the “red zone” – the first few weeks of classes – when sexual assault is most likely to occur.“The first six weeks on a college campus are a potentially dangerous time for the issue of sexual assault, and we just want to make sure people are as prepared as possible,” Gumas said.University President Steven Knapp said in an interview that he understood Gumas’ “articulate case” to hold sexual violence trainings at CI (Colonial Inauguration) because it’s one of a handful of times when all freshmen are in the same place.“The biggest challenge is communication because as [Gumas] said, once students come here, it’s hard to get any particular education initiative to go to students,” Knapp said. “If we use it at Colonial Inauguration, that’s the one time you have a captive audience of everybody all together.”The push for mandatory CI training follows the recent release of GW’s sexual violence survey results, in which 20 percent of female freshmen students said they felt unsafe on campus at night. The survey also found that about a quarter of undergraduate students experience unwanted sexual behavior while at GW, and the majority of students don’t know how to contact the Title IX office.
The Student Association and Students Against Sexual Assault at George Washington unsurprisingly have come out in support of the mandatory training.

Study Shows Heavy Adolescent Pot Use Permanently Lowers IQ
"Marijuana smokers have long been characterized as dimwitted and slow.
They tend to shrug off these stereotypes as artifacts of how they are when they’re on the drug.
If you’ve ever had the misfortune of enduring a pot smoker who takes you through the “beneficial” effects of marijuana on the brain, then you’ve likely wondered if the stereotype is true.
As it turns out, it is.
A study more than thirty years in the making found that smoking marijuana permanently lowers intelligence, or IQ.
Frequent pot smokers (even those who had given up marijuana) tended to have deficits in memory, concentration, and overall IQ.
The reduction in IQ for those who smoked pot heavily prior to age 18 was most pronounced: an average of eight points.
An eight point reduction in IQ is enough to have a significant, negative impact upon your life.
To put it into context, consider that individuals with an IQ of 110 have an average net worth of $71,000 and individuals with an IQ of 120 have an average net worth of $128,000.
It looks like smoking pot can lower your tax bracket...."

As promised, Columbia unveiled its new “sexual respect” program today via emails sent out by various college deans.
Students will have approximately one month to complete the program through various options, and failure to do so can result in holds in future registrations or even one’s diploma.
“The essence of this initiative is to reinforce that community citizenship is a critical part of being a Columbia student at any school, and that sexual respect is integral to what it means to be a member of this community,” Executive Vice President for University Life Suzanne Goldberg, who spearheaded the program’s development, told Spectator in an interview. One option includes a series of hour-long workshops facilitated by Sexual Violence Response that will each focus on one theme, such as intimate partner violence, healthy relationships, or support for survivors of sexual assault.“Students are at different levels of interest, experience, and engagement with these issues already,” Goldberg said. “The initiative offers a variety of participation options to, in effect, meet students where they are.....” Read on....
The program was constructed by a group “comprised of students, faculty, and administrators from across the University, including members of the Coalition Against Sexual Violence and No Red Tape.”

"A high-speed police chase in Texas came to a dramatic end when two citizens ripped the driver from his car and slammed him on the pavement after the man crashed into their vehicle while attempting to evade authorities.
The individual, driving a Dodge Challenger, was being pursued by Dallas police for his alleged role in a robbery when he rammed his car into a van.

The Obama administration is refusing to publicly release more than 500 documents on the IRS’s targeting of Tea Party groups.
Twenty months after the IRS scandal broke, there are still many unanswered questions about who was spearheading the agency’s scrutiny of conservative-leaning organizations.
The Hill sought access to government documents that might provide a glimpse of the decision-making through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request.
The Hill asked for 2013 emails and other correspondence between the IRS and the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA). The request specifically sought emails from former IRS official Lois Lerner and Treasury officials, including Secretary Jack Lew, while the inspector general was working on its explosive May 2013 report that the IRS used “inappropriate criteria” to review the political activities of tax-exempt groups.
TIGTA opted not to release any of the 512 documents covered by the request, citing various exemptions in the law. The Hill recently appealed the FOIA decision, but TIGTA denied the appeal. TIGTA also declined to comment for this article.

U.S. Marines in Yemen surrender personal weapons and rebels seize US vehicles after embassy closes - Allen West Republic:
Military.Com Reports:
“U.S. Embassy Marines in Yemen handed over their M-9 pistols and M-4 carbines before evacuating the chaotic country with diplomatic personnel, the Pentagon said Wednesday.
The Marines also left behind several vehicles at the airport in the capital city of Sanaa before departing on a civilian flight, said Army Col. Steve Warren, a Pentagon spokesman.
Warren said the Marines destroyed their machine guns and other crew-served weapons before leaving the Embassy for the airport. He also said that it was unclear who now had custody of the weapons and vehicles that were surrendered.
A Marine spokesman could not immediately say whether the surrender of weapons by Embassy Marines in an evacuation was unprecedented.
The Marines “destroyed their crew served weapons. They left their personal weapons behind,” Warren said, but he could not say whether the Houthi rebels who have taken over much of the country now had the weapons and vehicles left by the Marines.” (Full Story here)

"A teary-eyed Taya Kyle, the widow of Navy SEAL sniper Chris Kyle, took the stand on Wednesday as a prosecution witness in the murder trial of her husband’s killer.
She remembered her veteran husband as a patriot and loving father who had his life taken as he tried to help a fellow veteran.
Asked to tell the jury the name of the man she was married to, Kyle choked back tears and replied, “Chris Kyle.”
The widow grew emotional almost immediately as she was asked basic questions about her late husband.

Three Reasons to Fix Public Sector Pensions Now
Three Reasons to Fix Public Sector Pensions Now - Reason.com:
"Just about every state and local government is in a financial bind because they're spending more than they take in.
Public sector pensions are a major factor here.
They already represent a big part of spending and they're underfunded by somewhere between one and five trillion dollars.
As those shortfalls come due, either taxpayers are going to get screwed through higher taxes and reduced services, or public sector employees are going to take a hell of a haircut.
Here are three reasons to reform public sector pensions now.
Unsustainable pension payouts played a large role in the municipal bankruptcies of Detroit and Vallejo, California.
In the 250 largest cities in the country, pensions on average soak up 10% of budgets, a 30% increase over just the past five years.
As retirees start outnumbering workers – and the NYPD already has more former cops drawing a pension than active ones walking a beat – the amount of money spent on pensions is only going to skyrocket."

King of Deception
By Tammy Derouin
The evidence continues to grow. It should serve as transparent proof of why
there needs to be a thorough investigation into the background of anyone who
runs for president of the United States.
I would say the executive has turned his back on the United States but he
has been destroying everything American from the moment he entered the White House.
I don’t feel it was ever his intention to preserve or protect the United
States.
Life experiences including what we are taught and exposed
to, shape and mold us into who we become as individuals. Electing someone to the highest office
without crucial information leads us down a path of destruction. Religion and ideology are important. When people go to great length to hide their
principles, they are hiding their true colors.
One of the most difficult transformations to witness has
been the transformation of the American people. The master of illusion has
convinced so many Americans they are stupid and not capable of taking care of
themselves. For well over 200 years, before
the king of deception came to power, Americans were proud to be self-reliant
and were capable of independent thought.
Most did not want to accept government assistance even during dire
times. Look at the faces in photos from
the depression era. Americans wanted to
work. They didn’t want assistance. Today, many consider government assistance an
entitlement, including non-citizens.
