Did You See What Happened in New Hampshire This Weekend? - The Rush Limbaugh Show

Did You See What Happened in New Hampshire This Weekend? - The Rush Limbaugh Show:

"RUSH: Meanwhile, on the Republican side: Have you seen what happened in New Hampshire over the weekend?  There's this guy, he's the governor of Wisconsin, Scott Walker. He went into New Hampshire and basically owned it.  I wonder why this is happening wherever this guy goes. Iowa, now New Hampshire, wherever he goes, he's drawing enthused, rabid, huge, large crowds, and he is giving those crowds what they want.  I wonder how this is happening."

Outrageous spending flashback in wake of plea to increase debt ceiling

Outrageous spending flashback in wake of plea to increase debt ceiling - Watchdog.org
The federal administration brandishes this rhetoric with breathless fashion while simultaneously squandering taxpayer funds on meaningless projects and pursuits.
Below are a few outrageous ways the federal government has wasted taxpayer money:
  1. The State Department spent $18.5 million to renovate an unused prison in Afghanistan
In November, Judicial Watch detailed an extravagant waste of taxpayer funds under Hillary Clinton’s State Department to renovate an Afghan prison. The State Department utilized Uncle Sam’s wallet to update Afghanistan’s Pol-i-Charkhi prison so it could house a larger population– a population that actually doesn’t even exist. Even worse, the State Department officer overseeing the multi-million dollar project was convicted for accepting bribes from an agency contractor. The project was then determined to be defective by an independent firm.
  1. $182 million to house illegal alien children
Judicial Watch received documents in September revealing the Department of Health and Human Services paid $182,129,786 to provide “basic shelter care” for 2400 unaccompanied alien children.
  1. Six figures to film mountain lions running on treadmills
Yes, you read that correctly. The $856,000 study funded by a National Science Foundation grant taught three mountain lions to use a treadmill. According toFederalist, “It took eight months of training before the cats were comfortable on the treadmill.”
“People just didn’t believe you could get a mountain lion on a treadmill, and it took me three years to find a facility that was willing to try,” one of the project’s key researches said.
  1. $10,000 to watch grass grow
The Department of the Interior’s U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service spent $10,000 to monitor the growth of saltmarsh grass.
  1. $387,000 on Swedish massages for rabbits
The National Institute of Health’s Center for Alternative and Complimentary Medicine spent $387,000 to study the effects of Swedish massages on rabbits.

Proposed Law Would Label Parents of Fat Kids "Child Abusers"

Proposed Law Would Label Parents of Fat Kids "Child Abusers" - Hit & Run : Reason.com:
"Come out with your hams up!
The Puerto Rican government is proposing a new law that would label the parents of obese kids as "child abusers."
...So along comes this proposed law: Fat kid = abusive parent.
Senator Gilbert Rodriguez Valle introduced the bill that would establish a process of identifying obese children in school ("There's a porker!") and sending social workers to investigate the families. If the social workers see no improvements after a year, the parents could be fined up to $800.
That's right: The government is telling parents they don't know how to feed their own kids.
As if shaming and fining is the government's job.

Four days later, State Dept. says it doesn’t know if Hillary Clinton signed a separation form | TheBlaze.com

Four days later, State Dept. says it doesn’t know if Hillary Clinton signed a separation form | TheBlaze.com:

"Four days after it was first asked, the State Department still can’t say if former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton signed a “separation form” certifying that she handed over all her work-related documents to the government before leaving in 2013.

The issue of whether she signed the so-called OF-109 form is potentially important, since could still be discovered that Clinton kept some documents in her personal email, which she only gave back to the State Department last year. Republicans suspect she has yet to hand over all her work documents even today."

The Hidden Corn Ethanol Tax - How Much Does the Renewable Fuel Standard Cost Motorists?

Issue Brief 32 | The Hidden Corn Ethanol Tax - How Much Does the Renewable Fuel Standard Cost Motorists?:
Executive Summary
Federal legislators are considering an increase in the federal gasoline tax, from the current 18.4 cents per gallon to 33.4 cents per gallon.
Before legislators consider raising the gasoline tax, they should first repeal a hidden tax on gasoline: the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS). This paper finds that:
  • Since 2007, the RFS, which requires fuel retailers to blend corn ethanol into the gasoline they sell, has saddled American motorists with more than $10 billion per year in extra fuel costs above what they would have paid if they had purchased gasoline alone.
  • The RFS is a de facto tax on motorists because it requires them to consume ethanol, which, on an energy-equivalent basis, is significantly more expensive than gasoline. Since 1982, on average, ethanol has cost 2.4 times more than an energy-equivalent amount of gasoline.
  • For eight full years—1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1992, 1994, 1997, and 1998—ethanol cost at least three times more than an energy-equivalent amount of gasoline.

Pure, government induced, MADNESS!!---March Madness: 5 reasons office pools could land your firm in hot water

March Madness: 5 reasons office pools could land your firm in hot water - Orlando Business Journal:
Here are five reasons employers should be careful not to let their guards down during March Madness:
  • The perils of office pool politics:Some employees can feel left out of their office pools, if they are unable to participate or they aren't invited. Maybe they can't afford the entry fee or the organizer decides to exclude women. At best, employees have hurt feelings. At worse, they accuse their employer of discrimination.
  • Risk to union-free workplaces: Permitting employees to sign up other employees for gambling pools counts as solicitation. Solicitation policies must be enforced uniformly, according to rules set forth by the National Labor Relations Board. Therefore, if you let employees solicit for brackets in the workplace, you also may have to also let them solicit for a union.
  • Big money, bad feelings: Office pools have expanded into big money over the years as employee participation has swelled. In some cases, thousands of dollars are at stake. Gambling losses easily can ignite tension between employees. In fact, employers historically have banned gambling because it led to fights, not because it's illegal.
  • A spike in social media activity sparks badmouthing: Almost 250,000 people follow the official March Madness Twitter feed. Spikes in social media activity can increase the risk of employees publicly badmouthing their bosses during a time when the NLRB is expanding its oversight in this area and siding with employees.
  • Gambling is illegal: No employer wants to condone illegal activity. It's simply not worth the risk, no matter how small.

What Each American's Share of the National Debt Is

What Each American's Share of the National Debt Is:
fedbudget1"Today, on March 16, the debt limit returned at $18.1 trillion in total national debt.
The largest share of this debt—$13 trillion—comes out to $41,000 for every individual living in the U.S. today.
This debt is called the public debt, which means that the government has sold this debt in credit markets to investors in the U.S. and abroad, including China, Japan and European nation countries. The remaining $5 trillion of national debt are debt the government has borrowed from dedicated trust funds, like the Social Security trust fund.
Children born in the U.S. this year would see their share of the public debt burden grow by more than $100,000, to top $142,000, by the time they graduate from college if Congress fails to solve the spending and debt crisis."

Government run pot store...what could possibly go wrong?------In Wash. state, a 10-person team toils for the government — selling pot

In Wash. state, a 10-person team toils for the government — selling pot - The Washington Post: "NORTH BONNEVILLE, Wash. — Deep in the Columbia River Gorge, a short drive from the Bridge of the Gods, the nation’s only government-run marijuana shop was running low on weed.
The store had been open for just a few days. Inside, manager Robyn Legun was frantically trying to restock.
Outside, five customers stood waiting for the doors to open.
Someone cracked a joke about this being a typical government operation, always running late.
But, of course, it’s not.
This government store, bearing the cozy name Cannabis Corner, sells dozens of strains of marijuana and in several different forms, from pungent buds to infused cookies and coffee.
It sells glass bongs and rolling papers.
And it does it all at the direction of the North Bonneville Public Development Authority, making the local government uniquely dependent on this once-illicit drug.
“If I don’t get this order in this morning, we’re going to be out for the weekend,” said Legun, 36, fretting over her inventory list."

Islamic "justice" in action. In AMERICA!!!-----Muslim student leader protests campus screening of ‘American Sniper’

Muslim student leader protests campus screening of ‘American Sniper’
An upcoming campus screening of American Sniper at the University of Missouri has drawn fire for potentially offending Muslim members of the community.
At the heart of the controversy is a Muslim student activist who declared showing the film on campus would make her feel “unsafe” and demanded an “apology and explanation” as to how and why the movie was even selected for Mizzou audiences.
The uproar was taken quite seriously, and prompted the student government to conduct a meeting to determine whether the flick should be shown.
“This film is blatant racist, colonialist propaganda that should not be shown under any circumstances and especially not endorsed by a branch of student government that purports to represent me and have my best interests in mind,” student Farah El-Jayyousi, former president of the Muslim Student Organization, had stated.
El-Jayyousi, described by the University of Missouri’s website as a psychology and women’s and gender studies double-major and social justice advocate, went on to declare in her letter:
I do not feel safe on this campus and for good reason. The fact that this film is being shown, the fact that I have to explain why this film is not only problematic but harmful makes me feel even more unsafe. Showing this film will create an even more hostile environment for me and other Arab, Muslim, South Asian and people of color on this campus.
I am requesting that this film not be shown and that it either be replaced with a film that does not glorify violence or support existing systems of domination and oppression, or an event addressing “American Sniper” and similar films and media texts using a critical lens. This film is blatant racist, colonialist propaganda that should not be shown under any circumstances and especially not endorsed by a branch of student government that purports to represent me and have my best interests in mind.
Lastly, I would like to clarify that this is not an attempt at censorship but an affirmation of my right to feel safe in my body and identity wherever I may be, including this campus. Freedom of speech should not come at the expense of anyone’s humanity and right to be viewed, talked about and treated with basic respect and dignity.
I am asking that this film not be shown and that an official, public apology and explanation be issued by all parties involved in approving the screening of American Sniper on Mizzou’s campus...."

The ATF’s Ammo Ban Is Back…in the Form of a New Bill From Democrats | TheBlaze.com

The ATF’s Ammo Ban Is Back…in the Form of a New Bill From Democrats | TheBlaze.com:

"Four House Democrats have taken the Obama administration’s idea of a regulation to ban a widely used kind of ammunition — one it had to pull back because it was so unpopular — and turned it into legislation.

Rep. Eliot Engel (D-N.Y.) introduced the Armor Piercing Bullets Act, which he said would ban the sale of “.223-dervied, 5.56x45mm NATO ‘green tip’ rounds” that are commonly used on the AR-15 rifle. That’s the same ban that the ATF proposed in February, through the adoption of a “framework” that would justify a ban on all bullets that can pierce police body armor."

Delta Airlines Baggage Handlers Honor Fallen Soldier And His Dog

Delta Airlines Baggage Handlers Honor Fallen Soldier And His Dog | SF Globe:
"One thing is for certain: we have a lot more respect for Delta Airlines after watching this video. Watch as Delta's baggage handlers honor a fallen soldier and his K9 by unloading their caskets off the plane with a proper ceremony.
According to 98.7 The River, this moment occurred on the tarmac in Atlanta and paid tribute to a soldier and his bomb-sniffing dog that were killed by an IED.
The second smaller casket shown in the video holds the American hero's brave K9 companion.
Here at SF Globe, we had no idea that Delta did this and we'll be a lot more inclined to fly them in the future knowing that they salute our country's servicemen with such dignity.
While we don't know the identify of these fallen American heroes, we send our condolences to their families and thank them for their sacrifice.
What did you think of this moment caught on film?
Had you any idea Delta did this?
Sound off in the comments below and make sure to share if you found it as honorable as we did."
