"The Fraternal Order of Police’s Baltimore City Lodge said it had “deep concerns” about Mosby’s “many conflicts of interest” prosecuting the case. Organization president Gene Ryan also contended the officers were not responsible for Gray’s death.
“As tragic as this situation is, none of the officers involved are responsible for the death of Mr. Gray,” he wrote. “To the contrary, at all times, each of the officers diligently balanced their obligations to protect Mr. Gray and discharge their duties to protect the public.”

Ted Cruz’s Attempt to Boost Congress’ Role in the Iran Nuke Talks Was Just Blocked in the Senate
Ted Cruz’s Attempt to Boost Congress’ Role in the Iran Nuke Talks Was Just Blocked in the Senate | TheBlaze.com:
"A Senate Democrat late Wednesday blocked an attempt by Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) to require that Congress affirmatively approve of President Barack Obama’s Iran nuclear deal before it takes effect, instead of allowing it to take effect automatically unless Congress votes to kill it.
Cruz and some other Republicans have opposed the Iran nuclear legislation worked out by Sens. Bob Corker (R-Tenn.) and Ben Cardin (D-Md.).
They note that while the bill would give Congress a chance to review the agreement, it would only give Congress the option of passing a resolution disapproving of the deal."

Race to the bottom!----Oxford Dictionary May Add Gender-Neutral 'Mx' Honorific
Oxford Dictionary May Add Gender-Neutral 'Mx' Honorific | The Daily Caller:
"The Oxford English Dictionary may soon add the gender-neutral “Mx” honorific as a way to address people who are transgender or do not identify with either gender.
“Mx,” which proponents proclaim is pronounced as either “mux” or “mix,” would be joining the ranks of other honorifics, such as “Mr.,” “Mrs.,” “Ms.,” and “Miss.” “Mx” would be the first addition to the traditional honorifics in decades.
“This is an example of how the English language adapts to people’s needs, with people using language in ways that suit them rather than letting language dictate identity to them,” Jonathan Dent, assistant editor of the Oxford English Dictionary, told The Sunday Times.
The United Kingdom has already begun accepting “Mx” on official government documents in the past few years.
Banks and universities in the U.K. have also started to use the honorific, although one company admits it isn’t using the title “because employees were unsure about how to pronounce it without offending.”"

"So the sum of this story is that good parents who treat their kids the way good parents do, may not be permitted to do so anymore, because it's unfair to kids that do not have good parents.
Good parents must now treat their children like bad parents have to treat their kids so that they don't confer any unfair advantages on their kids. So, like I say, instead of raising up all children by reading to them, we have to go to the very lowest common denominator for all children and penalize those who are doing things right, penalize those who are doing things good. Because it isn't fair that they can and others can't."

We’re talking about people who deliberately had a competition to insult the messenger Mohammad… If you saw the cartoons that Charlie Hebdo drew you would understand the anger. And now this woman was to draw cartoons or have people draw cartoons to insult the prophet knowing full well that this carries the death penalty in Islam… She should be put before Shariah court and tried and of course she would face capitol punishment.

Just pissin' away your kids (and grandkids) future----Federal government blows $44,700 to promote pumpkin doughnuts
Watch: Federal government blows $44,700 to promote pumpkin doughnuts | TheBlaze.com:
"Sen. Dan Coats (R-Ind.) this week called out the federal government for spending tens of thousands of dollars to help a farmer promote his pumpkin doughnuts.
Coats spoke on the Senate floor about a federal agricultural promotion program that has handed out more than $290 million over the last decade, and called it a waste of federal funding to help a select few farmers promote their goods.
“One of the winners was a single farm that received a $44,700 grant to increase sales of its pumpkins and squash, including pumpkin doughnuts,” Coats said. “I’m not making this up.”
...“In essence what we’re doing here is promoting a few, select products. And why are we promoting pumpkin doughnuts over, say, banana nut muffins?” he asked.
“What about watermelons and not cantaloupes, or carrots and not turnips?
And on and on you could go,” he said... "

"However, one of the more upsetting ammo shortages has been the absence of .22 ammo on the market.
Whereas once $10-$15 could buy someone 500+ rounds of the cheap rimfire ammunition, now, it’s difficult to find and expensive when one can find it.
The good folks at American Rifleman magazine spoke with an ammunition manufacturer to find out why .22 ammunition is so scarce and what is causing the shortage."

LIBERTY REVIEW:

When did it become acceptable to silence those
who do not agree with the ruling party?
When did it become fashionable to lie and deceive because it fulfills an
agenda? When did our rights become
commodities, easily traded for security?

True American Spirit
By Tammy Derouin
Many people have such a deep interest in preserving our
heritage but feel helpless and no longer know what to do to preserve it. Over the years, several concerned individuals
have contacted me. There is such genuine
concern for the future of our country.
Our freedom and independence is hanging on a broken limb.
I feel there are more of us who are concerned about the
direction of this country than those who are creating chaos. We are not silently
standing by watching as our country crumbles into pieces. We are being silenced. The true American spirit, anything and
everything which makes us unique, our Americana, is being destroyed. When and why did it become American to be un-American?

I know, I know, I’m a racist jerk, blahblahblah. Just get that out of the way first so that I can continue on writing this letter.
Everytime May 5th rolls around, I never even realize it… until some moron blottoed on Negra Modelo wishes me a happy “Cinco De Mayo.”
I don’t know why I’m supposed to care.
Even worse, I don’t know why other people feel compelled to make me care.
It seems that every year, more and more people are pushing this as a legitimate holiday to celebrate in America for no reason other than to congratulate ourselves on our post-ethnocentric, Holiday tolerance.
And believe me, I use that word loosely.
Cinco De Mayo is barely tolerable.
Let me give you an example.
At the disappointing Mayweather-Pacquiao fight this Saturday, they played the Mexican national anthem. Only neither fighter was Mexican.
At first I thought that somebody running the soundboard made a horrible mistake by confusing Manny with one of the many other mini-sized latino boxers, until the announcer came and grabbed the mic.
“In honor of Cinco De Mayo…”
… It was May 2nd.
So not only do we have to act like we care on the day of, but we can now enjoy a useless countdown for the entire week prior.
Listen, if you want to celebrate Cinco De Mayo, fine.
If you want to act like Mexico today is anything other than a bastion of poverty, violations of human rights, corrupt government and drug cartels, that’s fine too.
Their food’s delicious and absolves many sins.
I get it.
But I’ve been to Mexico.
Not just “tourist” Mexico, but the real Mexico where rich, white, liberal Americans have never dare set foot.
Heck, most second-generation Mexican immigrants have never been… by choice.
It’s not a place I feel inclined to celebrate..."

LANSING (WXYZ) - The Michigan Senate drastically overpaid for new office space purchased from a poltically-connected developer, according to Lansing's assessor of record.
William Fowler told Channel 7's Ross Jones that the $41 million purchase price isn't supported by the current real estate market in downtown Lansing.
"Based on everything you know, is this building anywhere near worth $41 million?" asked Channel 7's Ross Jones.
"Not in today’s market," Fowler said, calling the sales price "three times greater than anything that has sold downtown of comparable use."
Fowler says that his office currently has Capitol View assessed at about $12 million, a figure he says is closer to what it’s actually worth.
Were it to be built brand new today, his office estimates it would cost just under $22 million.

Fowler says his office won’t (use) Capitol View’s sale price as a benchmark for assessing other properties downtown.

NOAA Caught Rewriting US Temperature History (Again) | Power Line:
NOAA CAUGHT REWRITING US TEMPERATURE HISTORY (AGAIN)
NOAA CAUGHT REWRITING US TEMPERATURE HISTORY (AGAIN)
We have written a number of times about how government agencies, including the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration here in the U.S., have systematically adjusted temperature history to make the past look colder.
They apparently do this, usually surreptitiously and without explanation, in order to stoke global warming hysteria.
See, for example, He Who Controls the Present Controls the Past and Inside the Global Warming Scandal.
They apparently do this, usually surreptitiously and without explanation, in order to stoke global warming hysteria.
See, for example, He Who Controls the Present Controls the Past and Inside the Global Warming Scandal.
Now Mike Brakey, an engineering physicist and heat transfer specialist, has caught NOAArevising historic temperature data for Maine–as always, to make the past look cooler and the present warmer by comparison:
Over the last months I have discovered that between 2013 and 2015 some government bureaucrats have rewritten Maine climate history… (and New England’s and of the U.S.). This statement is not based on my opinion, but on facts drawn from NOAA 2013 climate data vs. NOAA 2015 climate data after they re-wrote it.We need only compare the data. They cooked their own books (see numbers below...).
This graph presents the data visually.
The black line shows average annual temperatures for Maine from 1895 to the present as they were recorded at the time, and as NOAA published them in 2013.
Thermometers have recorded no net warming since 1895.
The blue line represents NOAA rewritten history as it appears in 2015.
Note how NOAA reduces earlier temperatures more than recent ones to give the graph a plausibly warming trend.
The green line shows average annual temperatures for a single location, Lewiston-Auburn, showing a steep decline since 2000. Click to enlarge:

NOAA has made similar adjustments to past temperatures around the United States. Brakey writes:
It appears NOAA panicked and did a massive rewrite of Maine temperature history (they used the same algorithm for U.S. in general). The new official temperatures from Maine between 1895 and present were LOWERED by an accumulated 151.2°F between 1895 and 2012.In my opinion, this is out-and-out fraud. Why did they corrupt national climate data? Global warming is a $27 billion business on an annual basis in the U.S alone. Now NOAA data revised in 2015 indicate that 1904, 1919 and 1925 in Maine were much colder than anything we experience today. (See the scorecard above comparing the NOAA data that are 18 months apart). Note how for 1913 the NOAA lowered the annual temperature a whole 4°F!For the balance of the years, as they get closer to the present, the NOAA tweaks less and less. They have corrupted Maine climate data between 1895 and present by a whopping accumulated 151.2°F.
David Archibald writes:
Their cooling of the past to keep the global warming meme alive reminds me of the old Soviet joke – the future is known, it is the past that keeps changing.
"Would someone please try to explain why this isn’t the biggest scandal in the history of science?"
