Shovel Ready Missions

By Tammy Derouin

In this new era in which we live where everything must be politically correct and equally distributed, where’s the freedom?  First, being “politically correct” is a controlling mechanism.  What is politically correct to one can be offensive to another simply because it encroaches on freedom.

Second, life isn’t fair.  Life, in many cases, is the result of your own actions or inactions.  Blaming those who have more is a left-wing cop-out.  True, you can’t control how you came into this world but you do have some control over where you go and how you leave it.  It’s up to each individual to find their own happiness.  Happiness is not a government subsidy.

America is the best place to turn poverty into prosperity or to turn stumbling blocks into building blocks. Have we become so over sensitive that we must allow the government to regulate everything we do, see, hear, eat, think and say?  The truth cannot be regulated.  Manure, however, can be shoveled anywhere.  This administration has provided an endless supply of shovel ready missions.

I heard something rather interesting on the radio.  Unfortunately, it turned depressing, not the news, but the twist which followed...

Hillary Clinton Campaign Shuts Out Reporter | TheBlaze.com

Hillary Clinton Campaign Shuts Out Reporter | TheBlaze.com:

"Pool reporters represent the other reporters in the news media who cover a candidate when the space for an event is too small to fit a large crowd of journalists. The pooler sends reports back to other news organizations, who can disseminate those dispatches in their own coverage. Thus, blocking pool coverage from a single reporter can block widespread media coverage."

Budget office: U.S. debt picture has 'worsened dramatically'

Budget office: U.S. debt picture has 'worsened dramatically' | WashingtonExaminer.com:
"Congress' budget office again warned that the U.S. faces a massive debt problem Tuesday, using stark language to describe the government's long-term mismatch between spending and revenues even as it slightly upgraded its projections for debt over the next 25 years.
"The long-term outlook for the federal budget has worsened dramatically over the past several years, in the wake of the 2007-2009 recession and slow recovery," the Congressional Budget Office reported in its long-term budget outlook for 2015 released Tuesday.
The Budget Office, a nonpartisan in-house think tank for Congress, projected that the federal debt is set to rise from 74 percent of economic output today to 103 percent by 2040, driven by spending on government healthcare and retirement programs and interest payments on the debt.

Muhammad Cartoon Contest Organizer Pamela Geller Describes the ‘Devastating’ Moment That ‘Shattered’ Her Belief About Freedom | TheBlaze.com

Muhammad Cartoon Contest Organizer Pamela Geller Describes the ‘Devastating’ Moment That ‘Shattered’ Her Belief About Freedom | TheBlaze.com:

“Clearly, the security apparatus has changed … you can’t go anywhere without an army,” Geller said of her current need for around-the-clock security after her cartoon contest enraged Islamic State members. “This is the price of freedom in America in 2015 for showing a little cartoon. That’s how bad things are.”

She went on to dismiss critics who claim that she’s simply trying to make a name for herself by holding events that some Muslims find offensive."

Have we really forgotten what life was like prior to this horrible event?  Pamela Geller is painfully aware of the threat that is facing our great country.  She has put her life on the line in the name of freedom.  May God bless her and keep her safe.

Inside Every Liberal Is a Totalitarian Screaming to Get Out: The Death of the Neighborhood

Inside Every Liberal Is a Totalitarian Screaming to Get Out: The Death of the Neighborhood:
Editor’s note:
The following is the first in a series of articles that will center on the Frontpage motto: “Inside every liberal is a totalitarian screaming to get out.”
Each piece will examine recent examples of leftist overreach and expose the totalitarian mindset animating these excesses.
A policy at least two years in the making, and President Obama’s broadest attempt to fundamentally transform the United States of America, is moving forward. Unveiled in July of 2013 at the NAACP convention, a plan known as “Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing” (AFFH) will require the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to gather data on segregation and discrimination in every neighborhood in America and attempt to “fix” these alleged problems.
The move little more than social engineering on steroids, giving further credence to the slogan emblazoned on the Frontpage Magazine masthead: “Inside every liberal is a totalitarian screaming to get out.”
The final regulations are due out this month and HUD is pitching them as a plan to “diversify” America.
“HUD is working with communities across the country to fulfill the promise of equal opportunity for all,” a spokeswoman for the agency explained
“The proposed policy seeks to break down barriers to access to opportunity in communities supported by HUD funds...”

Carr: Nut case upping the ante on Granny Liz

Carr: Nut case upping the ante on Granny Liz | Boston Herald
Rachel Dolezal is Elizabeth Warren on steroids.
Granny was a fake Indian until she got what she wanted — tenure — and then she went back to being “Okie down to her toes,” as she put it.
On the other hand, Rachel — and may I call her “Racial”? — is a nut case.
She really believes she’s black.
Granny’s box-checking resembled a mob hit man’s crimes.
She did it for profit, for financial gain, period. Racial is like a serial killer; she can’t help herself.
It’s the difference between a professional arsonist and a firebug.
Granny claimed her parents had to elope because of the anti-Indian racism.
(Forget the fact that they got married in the biggest church in the next town over, then immediately returned to their own tank town that same evening for a big wedding reception.)
Racial Dolezal upped the ante, big-time.
Her father — her made-up black father, that is — had to flee Jim Crow cracker justice in Georgia. She’s on the record as saying her imaginary dad took the midnight train, not to, but out of Georgia — so there, Gladys Knight and the Pips!

American madrasa-----CLASS PROJECT: 6th graders target Apple over ‘child labor’

CLASS PROJECT: 6th graders target Apple over ‘child labor’ - EAGnews.org:
"BRISTOL, Conn. – West Bristol school library assistant Judy Michaud has created quite a group of global justice advocates.
Fourteen primary school students presented articles this week to parents, family members and local politicians as part of the West Bristol School Howler Newspaper Club, and their covering some pretty heavy political topics: child labor, human rights, hunger, gender equality, species extinction and other global justice causes.
...Students were allowed to select the topic of their choice,” the Howler reads.
“The assignment was to decide whether or not your topic was fine enough to ‘leave it alone’ or if instead your topic demanded society to ‘turn over a new leaf.’”
Miraculously, all of the students decided on their own to “turn over a new leaf,” Michaud, the student newspaper’s editor, told The Bristol Press.
“Meeting a few mornings a week, they had not only researched their topics and were working toward the arduous task of writing their pieces, but took part in lively discussion focusing on current events,” Michaud said..."

Biden: Climate Change Deniers ‘Also Deny Gravity’ | TheBlaze.com:

“As hard as it is to believe, many of these same people continue to deny the reality of climate change,” Biden said Tuesday at the White House Clean Energy Investment Summit. “They also deny gravity. But they also deny there is such a thing as climate change. That’s the problem. The point is the safety and security of the United States of America and every community across the country.”

UK draws up contingency plan as Bank of Greece warns of 'uncontrollable crisis'

UK draws up contingency plan as Bank of Greece warns of 'uncontrollable crisis' - live updates | Business | The Guardian:

It said:
Failure to reach an agreement would....mark the beginning of a painful course that would lead initially to a Greek default and ultimately to the country’s exit from the euro area and – most likely – from the European Union.
A manageable debt crisis, as the one that we are currently addressing with the help of our partners, would snowball into an uncontrollable crisis, with great risks for the banking system and financial stability. An exit from the euro would only compound the already adverse environment, as the ensuing acute exchange rate crisis would send inflation soaring.

Charlie Daniels Just Wrote Another 'Hit' - A Scorching Open Letter To 'Lying,' 'Petulant' Obama

Charlie Daniels Just Wrote Another 'Hit' - A Scorching Open Letter To 'Lying,' 'Petulant' Obama:

"Daniels also writes that Obama is an “intentional” liar who demonstrates an immature “petulance” in the face of criticism. The iconic singer-songwriter-musician concludes his open letter with this ominous line: “Time is running out for you Mr. President and the horrible thing about it is that time is running out for America too.”

Here’s the complete text of the powerful, gut-punch letter Daniels posted, dated June 8:

Feds Can’t Verify $2.8 Billion in Obamacare Subsidies

Feds Can’t Verify $2.8 Billion in Obamacare Subsidies | Washington Free Beacon
CMS does not know if subsidies went to ‘confirmed enrollees, in the correct amounts’
The federal government cannot verify nearly $3 billion in subsidies distributed through Obamacare, putting significant taxpayer funding “at risk,” according to a new audit report.
...“[The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services] CMS’s internal controls did not effectively ensure the accuracy of nearly $2.8 billion in aggregate financial assistance payments made to insurance companies under the Affordable Care Act during the first four months that these payments were made,” the OIG said.
“CMS’s system of internal controls could not ensure that CMS made correct financial assistance payments,” they said.
The OIG reviewed subsidies paid to insurance companies between January and April 2014.
The audit found that CMS did not have a process to “prevent or detect any possible substantial errors” in subsidy payments...

Controversial Baltimore Prosecutor Marilyn Mosby Attempts to Prevent Release of Freddie Gray Autopsy, Evidence | Video | TheBlaze.com:

"BALTIMORE (TheBlaze/AP) — On the heels of a denial for a broad gag order in the case, Baltimore’s top prosecutor on Monday asked a judge instead to bar attorneys representing the six police officers charged in Freddie Gray’s death from sharing evidence before their trial.

State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby’s filed a protective-order motion asking for all discovery materials in the case to be deemed confidential. Just over a week ago, a judge refused to grant Mosby’s request for a complete gag order."
