Read the Alert Issued By the FBI Warning of ‘Middle-Eastern Males Approaching Families’ of Military | TheBlaze.com:

"The Islamic State terror group has on several occasions threatened to strike military members in their homes. In March, a group calling itself the “Islamic State Hacking Division” posted a list of addresses purportedly belonging to approximately 100 military members. The group called for their beheadings, saying it leaked the information “so that our bothers residing in America can deal with you.”

"In the wake of the terrorist shooting of U.S. Marines in Chattanooga, Tennessee, many called upon the president to remove gun-free zones on military property. Instead, the president and his allies clamped down, even going so far as to label gun-carrying citizens who gathered to protect disarmed Marines a “threat.”

At about the same time, Obama and his administration orchestrated an appeasement deal with Iran over its nuclear program. Far from stopping the Iranians from becoming a nuclear power, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned, “it paves Iran’s path to the bomb.”

Looting Turns Deadly In Venezuela Amid Severe Food Shortages

Looting Turns Deadly In Venezuela Amid Severe Food Shortages:
"CARACAS, Venezuela (AP) -- A man was killed and dozens were arrested Friday as a mob looted a supermarket and other shops in an industrial Venezuelan city, Bolivar state authorities said.
In announcing the looting, Gov. Francisco Rangel pushed back against opponents of Venezuela's socialist government who attributed the unrest to widespread scarcities of basic goods across the oil-rich nation.
He said more than two dozen people were arrested in connection with the looting in the southeastern city of
Ciudad Guyana and added that there was no excuse for the behavior.
"No one is starving," he said.
Rangel also suggested to the television station Globovision that the looting might have been driven by people with "political motives."
Tensions are running high in Venezuela as the country gears up for December legislative elections.
Local newspaper Correo del Caroni said the commotion, which centered on four stroes, caused merchants to temporarily shutter nearby businesses in fear they might be attacked, too.
Venezuela has been grappling with worsening shortages of basic goods like cooking oil and flour. The administration has adopted a variety of measures to address the situation and discourage hoarding, including fingerprinting shoppers who buy food at subsidized prices at supermarkets.
Officials also limit the days that people can buy certain products.
Few items are produced locally, and rigid currency controls and a scarcity of U.S. dollars have made it increasingly difficult for Venezuelans to find imported products.
Price controls don't help either, with producers complaining that some goods are priced too low to make a profit and justify production.
The administration blames the shortages both on companies speculating with an eye toward future profits and on black market vendors who buy groceries at subsidized prices and illegally resell them for several times the amount.
The looting came a day after Venezuela's largest food distributor, Polar, protested a government seizure of one of its warehouses in Caracas and warned that any takeovers could exacerbate supply problems.
The opposition immediately seized on the looting incident as a demonstration of how bad things have gotten under the current administration.
Henrique Capriles, a former presidential candidate who lost a close race with President Nicolas Maduro in the last presidential election, said the looting shows that shortages have become dire in Venezuela.
"The farther you get from the capital, the worse the economic situation is," he said."

Low-information voters: Unknown truck driver who spent no money on campaign is Mississippi Dem nominee for guv

Marathon Pundit: Low-information voters: Unknown truck driver who spent no money on campaign is Mississippi Dem nominee for guv:
"Truck driver and political neophyte Robert Gray raised and spent no money in his campaign for the Democratic nominee for governor in Mississippi. Gray's electioneering was limited to attending a couple of rallies.
He didn't even vote for himself.
Gray's mother didn't know he was running--although she voted for him--mom thought she was choosing a candidate with the same name as as her son's.
Gray didn't advertise.
He produced no yard signs.
But Gray collected 51 percent of the vote in a three-way race.
Attorney Vicki Slater spent over $200,000 on her effort to win the Democratic Party nomination--some of it was her own money.
This is your 21st century Democratic Party--it is dominated by low-information voters who have no idea what they are voting for when they enter the polling place... "

Slate Says "Homophobic" Grandmothers Should Die...:
"I love when the left reminds us of who they are.
Someone wrote Slate that “Help, my grandma refuses to be in the same room as my brother’s boyfriend.”
This was Slate’s response…
"The world will be a better place when such grandmas shuffle off this mortal coil..."

This is liberalism.
If you have a viewpoint that is different than mine, you should be dead.
And she was even speaking about one specific grandma.
But all grandmas who share this opinion, which, if I were a betting man… is probably most grandmas!
Is this the answer the guy was looking for? “Grandma, you don’t like my brothers boyfriend, therefore you should die. Thanks for the crumpets, you geriatric, hellhound whore!”
Well done, Slate."

Phase Two of Obama’s Plan to Federalize the Police Force Just Happened in Baltimore | TheBlaze.com:

"President Barack Obama’s administration has begun the second phase in federalizing the police. And as predicted, he is again using Baltimore to expand his agenda.

As you may recall, I wrote in May that Obama would use the recent events in Baltimore to convince the American public that federalization of the police force was necessary in order to fix the problems of Baltimore and other cities.

I also said that in order for the administration to succeed in their plan, several “actors” would be required to play their role."

This Saturday! Come on and join us!!!-----Muskegon Community Paddle heads out on the Muskegon River Aug. 8

Muskegon Community Paddle heads out on the Muskegon River Aug. 8 | MLive.com: "MUSKEGON, MI – The Muskegon Community Paddle series of meet-up events will have a unique gathering Saturday, Aug. 8.
In past years, all of the Community Paddles started and finished at the same place, mainly at various locations around Muskegon Lake.
Saturday's Community Paddle will be a float on the lower portion of the Muskegon River from Muskegon Township's North Creston Street-end launch site to Veterans Memorial Park near the river outlet on Muskegon Lake.
The second and final Community Paddle will be the following Saturday Aug. 15 at the Harbour Towne Beach on the west end of Muskegon Lake as part of the Muskegon Lake Effect Boating's Michigan Maritime Celebration...
For Aug. 8, organizers are working with Guy's Ultimate Kayak Service of Muskegon to provide equipment and logistics for what can be an hour to up to two hours on the river depending on participants' preferences.
The point-to-point paddle will launch from the Creston Street-end launch at approximately 10 a.m.
The launch site is at the end of Giles Road beyond the Reeths-Puffer school facilities.
Take Giles to North Creston Street and turn right, south to the road's end at the river.
The Community Paddle will end at the Veteran's Memorial Park adjacent to the parking lot on the southbound bridge of M-120 in the northwest corner of the refurbished park.
There is plenty of parking on the south bank of the Muskegon River both near the northbound and southbound M-120 bridges.
Parking is more limited at the Creston Street-end launch site.
However, organizers will provide transportation between the launch sites before the event beginning at 9 a.m. and at the end of the Community Paddle.
The kayak service has a large trailer able to haul canoes and kayaks between the two sites.
Owner Guy DeBor said he'd offer that service for tips.
Anyone can participate in the Muskegon Community Paddle with a kayak, canoe, standup paddle board or other paddle craft. Participants must have a U.S. Coast Guard-approved personal flotation device.
Guy's Ultimate Kayak will provide Community Paddle participants with a basic kayak for $10 – a 50 percent discount for the event. Equipment is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Contact Guy's Ultimate Kayak at 231-740-0227 or check out the business' website at www.guyskayaks.com.
"Everyone loves being on the Muskegon River," said DeBor, who is in the second year of his kayak and River Cat rental business.
"Unlike the Grand River or the upper Muskegon River, the lower Muskegon through the Muskegon State Game Area has no residences. It is natural and quiet.""

Planned Parenthood's Pathetic "3 Percent" Lie

Planned Parenthood's Pathetic "3 Percent" Lie | RealClearPolitics:
"The nation’s premier provider of abortions doesn’t want to be known for providing abortions.
Planned Parenthood, embroiled in a scandal over secret videos capturing its cavalier dismemberment of unborn babies and sale of their body parts, insists that abortion is only 3 percent of what it does.
Practically every defender of the organization, fighting to preserve its federal funding, reverts to the 3 percent figure.
How could you possibly, they ask, defund a group that devotes itself overwhelmingly to uncontroversial procedures and services for women?
The 3 percent figure is an artifice and a dodge, but even taking it on its own terms, it’s not much of a defense.
Only Planned Parenthood would think saying that they only kill babies 3 percent of the time is something to brag about.
How much credit would we give someone for saying he only drives drunk 3 percent of the time, or only cheats on business trips 3 percent of the time, or only hits his wife during 3 percent of domestic disputes?
The 3 percent factoid is crafted to obscure the reality of Planned Parenthood’s business.
The group performs about 330,000 abortions a year, or roughly 30 percent of all the abortions in the country.
By its own accounting in its 2013–2014 annual report, it provides about as many abortions as Pap tests (380,000).
The group does more breast exams and provides more breast-care services (490,000), but not by that much.
The 3 percent figure is derived by counting abortion as just another service like much less consequential services.
So abortion is considered a service no different than a pregnancy test (1.1 million), even though a box with two pregnancy tests can be procured from the local drugstore for less than $10.
By Planned Parenthood’s math, a woman who gets an abortion but also a pregnancy test, an STD test, and some contraceptives has received four services, and only 25 percent of them are abortion.
This is a little like performing an abortion and giving a woman an aspirin, and saying only half of what you do is abortion."

Charles Krauthammer Reveals Why He Believes ‘Planned Parenthood and Liberals Are so Afraid’ of the Undercover Fetal Remains Footage | Video | TheBlaze.com:

"Conservative commentator Charles Krauthammer revealed the real reason that he believes Planned Parenthood is worried about the undercover videos that purport to show doctors discussing the sale of fetal remains: they expose what actually happens inside clinics.

“The reason that Planned Parenthood and liberals are so afraid of the videos that were released is because it lifts the curtain,” Krauthammer told Fox News host Bill O’Reilly on Monday night. “It’s not the selling of the body parts. It’s the production of the body parts. In other words, actually seeing what happens in the back room of the abortion clinic.”

Don't let the MSM determine our candidates!-----TV's Campaign '16 News: An Avalanche of Trump Coverage, Not Much for Others

TV's Campaign '16 News: An Avalanche of Trump Coverage, Not Much for Others | Media Research Center:
"There are currently 17 declared candidates for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination, but viewers of the three broadcast evening news shows this year have mainly heard about just two of them: former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, and New York businessman Donald Trump.
And even though Trump received virtually no TV news attention until he officially declared on June 16, he’s received far more network news coverage in just the last six weeks than Bush has received all year.
Media Research Center analysts reviewed every ABC, CBS and NBC evening newscasts from January 1 through July 31, including weekends, and tallied all discussion of each declared or prospective GOP presidential candidate.
They found that the Big Three have devoted a combined 116 minutes to coverage of Trump’s campaign, far more than the 72 minutes garnered by the Bush campaign."

American Glory Days

By Tammy Derouin

On a recent shopping trip, I stopped at Hobby Lobby.  They have many items which make me feel like I’m walking through a museum.  It’s a nostalgic experience to stroll up and down the aisles.  There are many images of American heritage and pop culture.

The American spirit, as well as American ingenuity, is on full display as you walk through the store.  It ranges from the simplicity of the Mason jar to the many items representing American fortitude, which made our country so great.  Strength, hard work and determination resulted in many American success stories.  Iconic symbols and logos are timeless and have become part of the American landscape. They serve as proof that individuals built this country, not the government.

Many are able recall those American glory days.  We remember what it was like to be a can-do nation, prior to the transformation.   A feeling of pride turned to sadness as I wondered if we would be able to remain free.  Would such iconic symbols of capitalism and the free-market place someday land in a museum?  Would such symbols need to be housed in an underground museum?  The new reality is that the government built everything.  Will evidence to the contrary need to be destroyed?

One of the many iconic items I saw on display was The Super Friends.  I remember watching them every Saturday morning as a child.  Once upon a time they defended truth, justice and the American way. Far too many of our elected officials vilify truth, mock justice and are destroying the American way of life...

What was the question... How do I blame others for my situation?

Study Ties Picky Eating In Preschoolers To Anxiety, Depression, ADHD And Family Problems

Study Ties Picky Eating In Preschoolers To Anxiety, Depression, ADHD And Family Problems - Forbes:
"Countless parents have faced the implacable resistance of the picky eater.
You struggle to assure that your kid’s basic nutritional needs are met, while every day confronting an impenetrable wall of disgust.
Maybe the only things that get through that wall are waffles and milk (and junk food).
What do you do?
Most picky eaters eventually expand their tastes.
But at its worst, picky eating (or selective eating, as psychologists prefer to call it) can be a threat to health and development.
And now, a new study shows, it is linked to significant psychological problems including anxiety, depression, and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder."

Watch the Bizarre Question CNN Host Asks Man Behind Planned Parenthood Videos: ‘I Don’t Think That’s True at All’ | Video | TheBlaze.com:

"Appearing on CNN, the man behind the undercover Planned Parenthood videos was asked if he is a “violent extremist.”
“David,  your critics, critics of your organization I should say, say that you’re not journalists as you purport to be on your website, but rather you’re violent extremists,” host Alisyn Camerota told David Daleiden. “They say that you are operating under the guise of investigative reporting, but really you’re trying to shut down all Planned Parenthoods and women’s access to things like birth control and other services that they provide.”

So when it comes to the progressive left, the definition of a "violent extremist" changes to meet the needs of their agenda.

Drones Are Delivering Contraband To Prisons

Drones Are Delivering Contraband To Prisons | Fast Company | Business + Innovation: "SMUGGLERS ARE AIRLIFTING DRUGS INTO PRISON YARDS USING DRONES.
ONE SUCH INCIDENT CAUSED A FIGHT TO BREAK OUT IN AN OHIO PRISON LAST WEEK.
A drone transported nearly half a pound of drugs into an Ohio prison on July 29, sparking a fight among inmates.
Unknown parties coordinated the drop and flew the drone into a prison yard at the Mansfield Correctional Institute.
JoEllen Smith, a spokesperson for the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction, told the Mansfield News Journal that the drone dropped a package containing more than 5 ounces of tobacco, over 2 ounces of marijuana, and nearly a quarter of an ounce of heroin.
The contraband seemingly instigated a fight between inmates who were out in the prison yard at the time.
...In 2014, the Lee Correctional Institution in South Carolina reported that a drone carrying marijuana, tobacco, and mobile phones crashed just outside its walls; in the past two years, there have been three other drone-smuggling incidents across the U.S., and more abroad."

The result of Obama's "free" college loans-------7th Circuit: Florida Coastal Law Grad Cannot Discharge $260,000 Student Loan Debt In Bankruptcy

TaxProf Blog: 7th Circuit: Florida Coastal Law Grad Cannot Discharge $260,000 Student Loan Debt In Bankruptcy:
"The Seventh Circuit has affirmed decisions of a federal bankruptcy court and district court preventing a Marquette (MBA) and Florida Coastal (J.D.) graduate from discharging $260,000 in student loan debt in bankruptcy.  Tetzlaff v. Educational Credit Management Corp., No. 14-3702 (7th Cir. July 22, 2015):
Mark Tetzlaff is fifty-six years old and lives in Waukesha, Wisconsin with his eighty-five-year-old mother; they both subsist on the income from her Social Security payments.
Tetzlaff is divorced, has no children, and is currently unemployed.
From the mid-1990s until 2005, Tetzlaff pursued a Masters in Business Administration from Marquette University, as well as a law degree from Florida Coastal School of Law (“Florida Coastal”).1
Most relevant to this appeal, Tetz-laff took out various federally guaranteed student loans to finance his graduate education.2
In 2004, Tetzlaff consolidated his student loan debt, and Educational Credit Manage-ment Corporation (“Educational Credit”) is now the guaran-tor for the outstanding loan amount.
Tetzlaff has been unsuccessful at passing a state bar exam to date (although he has made two attempts).
Prior to at-tending graduate school, Tetzlaff worked as a financial advisor, an employee-benefits consultant, an insurance salesman, and a stock broker.
Over the years, Tetzlaff has struggled with depression and alcohol abuse; he has also been involved in domestic disputes.
Tetzlaff has several misdemeanor convictions, including convictions for disorderly conduct and intimidating a victim.
He claims that all of these factors combined make it very difficult for him to secure employment"

Sooo, pot is good for your kids?-----Marijuana And Depression: Teen Use Not Linked To Depression, Study Suggests

Marijuana And Depression: Teen Use Not Linked To Depression, Study Suggests : Health & Medicine : Science World Report:
"New findings published in the journal Psychology of Addictive Behaviors found that contradictory to previous studies, teen marijuana use is not linked to physical or mental health issues.
"What we found was a little surprising," Jordan Bechtold, researcher and a psychology research fellow at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, said in a statement.
"There were no differences in any of the mental or physical health outcomes that we measured regardless of the amount or frequency of marijuana used during adolescence."
The most recent study was based on an offshoot of the Pittsburgh Youth Study that tracked 14-year-old male Pittsburgh public school students in the late 1980s, analyzing various health and social issues.
Over 12 years, all participants were surveyed annually or semiannually.
A follow-up survey was also conducted with 408 participants in 2009-10 when they were around the age of 36.
...Findings revealed that chronic marijuana use by boys was not linked to health issues like asthma, depression and psychotic symptoms later in life.
Furthermore, the study results also revealed no link between teen marijuana use and lifetime anxiety, depression, allergies, high blood pressure and/or headaches.
However, it's important to note that research from the American Lung Association has suggested that smoking marijuana can increase the risk of respiraratory issues, which may also lead to other health problems.

Fifth Undercover Planned Parenthood Video Released: ‘This Patient Was Like 18 Weeks’ (Warning: GRAPHIC) | Video | TheBlaze.com:

“This patient was at, like, 18 weeks, I think,” one medical staffer says, while sifting through fetal remains.
The clip also features the faux tissue buyers presumably asking if abortion procedures can be changed and adjusted to account for specific organ and tissue needs, including fully intact fetuses — to which Farrell seemingly responds affirmatively.

“So, if we alter our process and we are able to obtain intact fetal cadavers, then we can make it part of the budget that any dissections are this, and splitting the specimens into different shipments is this,” she said. “I mean that’s — it’s all just a matter of line items.”

Banned Medicaid providers still participate in some states, report says

Banned Medicaid providers still participate in some states, report says:
"Hundreds of medical providers banned from a Medicaid program in one state are able to take part in another state's program despite regulations designed to stop them, according to a report by an independent federal auditor to be released on Wednesday.
The continued participation of banned providers leaves state Medicaid programs for the poor and disabled vulnerable to fraud, waste and abuse, according to the study, which says the problem reflects a struggle by states to communicate with one another.
...“If a provider has been terminated by a state, that is a red flag, because it would indicate there was a problem either in billing or the way they handle patients," said Deborah Cosimo, team leader for the report. "
Do states really want to trust beneficiary care to someone who has problems like that?”

Paul Albaugh: Obama's Clean Power Plan Is Costly Political Theater

Paul Albaugh: Obama's Clean Power Plan Is Costly Political Theater — The Patriot Post:
"On Monday, Barack Obama announced new rules for his long-dreaded Clean Power Plan.
This past spring, we warned that Obama’s agenda to combat global warming would be finalized during the hottest days of summer.
As with almost every other agenda under Obama, it’s even worse than expected — and all to prevent warming of 0.01 degrees Celsius.
Winston Churchill once said, “Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance and the gospel of envy. Its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.”
And make no mistake: Obama’s plan has little or nothing to do with climate and everything to do with his social justice worldview, in which he wants to handicap the U.S. ostensibly to the benefit of the rest of the world.
...As for the details, according to The Wall Street Journal, the new rule “would require a 32% cut in power-plant carbon dioxide emissions by 2030 from 2005 levels, an increase from the 30% target proposed last year.”
According to EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy, the estimated annual cost by 2030 will be $8.4 billion.
But keep in mind that government estimates are always low.

Muskegon invests $1 million for new homes

MUSKEGON, Mich. (WZZM) -- The city of Muskegon has invested $1 million to the construction of 10 to 15 new, market-rate homes.
"We hear people saying we'd love to live downtown but we don't want a fixer upper," said Frank Peterson, the city manager.
"Or the houses just aren't right."
Peterson said the project is part of the city's effort to move people back into the downtown corridor and re-establish a sense of community within its neighborhoods.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, population has decreased in the city of Muskegon for the past several years.
Between 2010 and 2013, 3.1 of Muskegon's inhabitants moved away.
"Again we do think a lot of that has to do with the inability to attract new homeowners into our community," Peterson said.
"We just don't have a product to offer them."
In addition to Muskegon's investment, the city has received a $250,000 grant from the Michigan State Housing Development Authority to combat blight.
The market-rate homes are expected to be ready for sale as early as next spring.
