Liberal "leaders"-----Disgraced Former Case Western Law School Dean Changes Name To Ezra Wasserman Mitchell: A 'Jewish Kunte Kinte'

TaxProf Blog:
Lawrence Mitchell is now Ezra Wasserman Mitchell. That matters very little to most people but for some others it's certainly worth noting, because Lawrence Mitchell was the former law school dean at Case Western Reserve University.
Former is the key word there. Mitchell departed after the school settled a sexual harassment and retaliation lawsuit that, among other things, included multiple allegations that he'd propositioned students for threesomes
He's dipped off the radar — moving away from Cleveland and recording himself reading creepy poetry — and now, Lawrence Mitchell is off the radar altogether.
In a post on his site Mitchell announces that he's changed his name to Ezra Wasserman Mitchell:
After almost two decades of indecision, I today emerged from the New York City Civil Courthouse as Ezra Wasserman Mitchell.  For the two or three of you who are interested, I shall explain. ...
My name doesn’t fit for several reasons.  Most basic — and least spiritual – is aesthetic.  I have known several fine Lawrences and Larrys in my life.  But I personally don’t like the way either name sounds. ...
[M]y Hebrew name — Eliezer Ezra ben Shlomo (or really the Yiddish-Hebrew Lazar Ezra ben Shlomo ) — does mean something to me.  Of Ezra Ha’Sofer — the prophet who returned the people to Jerusalem and the Torah to the people following the Babylonian exile — it is said that if Moses had not received the Torah from Ha’Shem, Ezra would have been qualified to have done so. ... Ezra, to me, is softly melodic, while at the same time quite strong. ...
I have included Wasserman as part of my name.  (וואסערמאנ in Yiddish.)
Whence the Wasserman? Here I present myself as a Jewish Kunte Kinte.

Hillary Clinton Blames Whites, Cops for Deaths of Young Black Men

Hillary Clinton Blames Whites, Cops for Deaths of Young Black Men - Breitbart
Image result for hillary racistHillary Clinton used a CNN interview on Friday to completely embrace the Democrats’ claim that white people and cops must change to help reduce the number of African-Americans killed in tense exchanges with cops.
“I will call for white people, like myself, to put ourselves in the shoes of those African-American  families who fear every time their children go somewhere, who have to have ‘The Talk,’ about, you now, how to really protect themselves [from police], when they’re the ones who should be expecting protection from encounters with police,” Clinton told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer.
I’m going to be talking to white people, we’re the ones who have to start listening to the legitimate cries coming from our African-American fellow citizens,” she said.
...“We’ve got to start once again respecting and treating each other with the dignity that every person deserves,” she said.
The statement echoed a tweet from Friday morning.
White Americans need to do a better job of listening when African Americans talk about the seen and unseen barriers you face every day.
To win in November, Clinton need a high turnout of African-American voters.
Neither Blitzer nor Clinton suggested that African-American communities have a role in reducing police-encounter deaths, which usually occur in tense engagements between a few cops and a few suspects with extensive criminal histories.
In general, young African-American men are far more likely to commit crimes than young white men, young Asian men or young Latino men. A November 2011 report by the Justice Department showed that young African-American men are just 1 percent of the population, yet are responsible for a disproportionate percentage of murders in the nation.

Clinton suggested that people who disagree with her agenda are racists. “There is so much more to be done… we can’t be engaging in hateful rhetoric or incitement of violence, we need to be bringing people together … we need more love and kindness.”

Stopping Taxpayer-backed Too-big-to-fail Banks Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley From Physical Commodities is Long Overdue

Stopping Taxpayer-backed Too-big-to-fail Banks Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley From Physical Commodities is Long Overdue | Better Markets:
Image result for big bank fraud"Washington, D.C. – Dennis Kelleher, President and CEO of Better Markets, issued this statement following comments by Federal Reserve Governor Daniel Tarullo calling for an end to allowing taxpayer-backed banks such as Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley to engage in trading physical commodities.
“When Wall Street’s too-big-to-fail banks like Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley lose on their big market bets, they run to U.S. taxpayers for bailouts like they did in 2008.
That’s why their highest risk activities need to be eliminated, limited, and regulated, including their massive multi-billion operations trading physical commodities like oil, aluminum, natural gas, and copper.
For example, taxpayer-backed Goldman Sachs is now a bigger natural gas merchant in North America than Chevron and ExxonMobil.
“Making matters worse, in addition to trading physical commodities, these banks also engage in the derivatives, futures and cash commodities markets, all while their analysts regularly comment on these markets.
These multiple, simultaneous activities provide unique opportunities for these banks to manipulate the markets and otherwise take advantage of market participants, including commodity purchasers and producers who are trying to hedge genuine risk..."

"In his announcement on Tuesday, Comey said, “Prosecutors necessarily weigh a number of factors before bringing charges. There are obvious considerations, like the strength of the evidence, especially regarding intent.”

The "Heather Mac Donald" interview-----Rush Limbaugh - July 8, 2016 Full Podcast

26 police killed so far in 2016, up 44% from 2015

26 police killed so far in 2016, up 44% from 2015:
"The number of police officers shot and killed in the USA is 44% higher than at this time last year following the Dallas ambush Thursday night that left five officers dead, according to data from the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund.
The deaths of four Dallas police officers and one Dallas transit officer from sniper fire during a protest in the city Thursday raised the national total of firearm deaths among police to 26.
This compares with 18 at this point in time in 2015, said Nick Breul, director of research for the fund in Washington, D.C.
Breul said it was also the latest of 11 ambushes of police officers so far this year across the country, already outpacing the eight ambushes of law enforcement that occurred last year.
"That's certainly a concern for us.
It's troubling and it's something that we watch," Breul, a former Washington, D.C., police officer, said about the shootings.
"It's really an assassination.
You're taking advantage of an officer and you're ensuring that you're able to kill them through them either being vulnerable or through a complete surprise attack.""

MUST READ of the DAY!-----Heather Mac Donald Talks About Her Essential Book: The War on Cops - The Rush Limbaugh Show

Heather Mac Donald Talks About Her Essential Book: The War on Cops - The Rush Limbaugh Show:
"...MAC DONALD:  Well, let's look at some of the numbers.
I know numbers are sometimes tough over the radio, but a larger proportion of white and Hispanic homicide deaths are the results of police killings than black homicide deaths.
That is, 12 percent of all whites and Hispanics who die of homicide are killed by police officers.  Four percent of all blacks, homicide victims, are killed by police officers.
So if we're going to have an Anti‑Cop Lives Matter movement it would make more sense to call it White and Hispanic Lives Matter.
The fact is that over 6,000 blacks die of homicide each year.
That is more than white and Hispanic homicide victims combined, even though blacks are 13 percent of the nation's population.
And the reason they are dying of homicide at a rate six times higher than whites and Hispanics combined is because they commit homicide at eight times the rate higher than whites and Hispanics combined.
And that type of crime disparity means that when the police are trying to save lives, they are in minority neighborhoods confronting people engaged in drive‑by shootings, killing children... "

Special election for a 7 week term? Strange!-----Gov. Rick Snyder calls special election to fill seat of Rep who died hiking

Gov. Rick Snyder calls special election to fill seat of Rep who died hiking | MLive.com
LANSING, MI -- Gov. Rick Snyder on Tuesday called a special election to fill the seat of Rep. Julie Plawecki, D-Dearborn, who died suddenly while hiking in Oregon last month.
A special primary will take place on Aug. 30 and the general election for the remainder of Plawecki's term -- which runs through Dec. 31, 2016 -- will take place Nov. 8. Candidates must file for the special election primary by July 12.
Meanwhile, Democratic precinct delegates in the 11th House District will select the primary candidate who will run for the next term, which begins in January.
Plawecki did not have a challenger in the Democratic primary, meaning the party's delegates can fill the ballot vacancy by selecting somebody to run against the Republican primary winner.
The election for the next term, beginning Jan. 1, 2017, will also take place on Nov. 8 along with elections for all House members.

New book reveals Ice Age mariners from Europe were America's first inhabitants

New book reveals Ice Age mariners from Europe were America's first inhabitants | Smithsonian Insider
"Some of the earliest humans to inhabit America came from Europe according to a new book Across Atlantic Ice: The Origin of America’s Clovis Culture.
The book puts forward a compelling case for people from northern Spain traveling to America by boat, following the edge of a sea ice shelf that connected Europe and America during the last Ice Age, 14,000 to 25,000 years ago."
...Through archaeological evidence, they turn the long-held theory of the origins of New World populations on its head.
For more than 400 years, it has been claimed that people first entered America from Asia, via a land bridge that spanned the Bering Sea.
We now know that some people did arrive via this route nearly 15,000 years ago, probably by both land and sea.
...Groundbreaking discoveries from the east coast of North America are demonstrating that people who are believed to be Clovis ancestors arrived in this area no later than 18,450 years ago and possibly as early as 23,000 years ago, probably in boats from Europe.
...In “Across Atlantic Ice,” the authors trace the origins of Clovis culture from the Solutrean people, who occupied northern Spain and France more than 20,000 years ago..."
