Another ‘Miracle on 34th Street’ at Macy’s: No More Planned Parenthood Donations | Glenn Beck

Another ‘Miracle on 34th Street’ at Macy’s: No More Planned Parenthood Donations | Glenn Beck:

"You may remember how four companies (AT&T, Coca-Cola, Ford, and Xerox) publicly distanced themselves from Planned Parenthood last year after our research exposed forty-one companies with direct financial ties to the abortion giant. At that time, another company on our list, Macy’s, was making donations to Planned Parenthood."

Watch Out, Everything Is Racist Now

Watch Out, Everything Is Racist Now - Rachel Alexander:
"Although racism has been gradually decreasing in the U.S., the left is attempting to portray it as rapidly expanding in order to keep minorities voting for Democrats.
It’s Barack Obama’s legacy.
Image result for everything is racistBut it’s looking sillier and sillier, and the American electorate saw through it and elected Donald Trump as president.
Unfortunately, the radicals have had some incremental success; luring young people to join Black Lives Matter, incorporating propaganda into our educational system, and destroying the lives of anyone caught in their crosshairs.
The left is now labeling an alarming number of things related to blacks and other minorities racist, casting a wide net in a “gotcha” tactic in order to take down conservatives.

  • Criticize a black person for a reason unrelated to race? Racist.
  • Say anything negative about Obama? Racist.
  • Criticize the left’s interpretation and mandate of diversity? Racist.
  • Shoot a black suspect for a reason unrelated to race? Racist — even if the cop himself was black..."

Fake News About Obamacare Repeal | The American Spectator

Fake News About Obamacare Repeal | The American Spectator:

"Goldstein fails to mention that crucial passage, which reads thus: “ACA repeal and replace legislation sponsored by Department of Health and Human Services Secretary-nominee Tom Price is an example of providing a ‘clean slate,’ which would protect hospitals from destabilizing cuts that would jeopardize access to high-quality services.” Nor does she include any information about Obamacare’s cuts to Medicare and Medicaid. Oddly enough, though, Goldstein finds room for the following scary quote: “[R]epealing the Affordable Care Act could cost hospitals $165 billion by the middle of the next decade and trigger ‘an unprecedented public health crisis.’”"

Venezuela and Santa Claus vs Thomas Sowell and the Little Red Hen | International Liberty
Earlier this year, I borrowed from Dante’s Inferno and created the Five Circles of Statist Hell.
At the time, I suggested that Venezuela was on the cusp of moving from the third circle (“widespread poverty and economic misery”) to the fourth circle (“systematic and grinding poverty and deprivation”).
Image result for the five circles of statist hell
Since we now know that children in the country are suffering from hunger and malnutrition, I think we can safely confirm that Venezuela has made that crossing, joining the dystopian hell of North Korea (though you can make a good argument that the savage regime based in Pyongyang actually belongs in the fifth circle).
And just in case you need another piece of evidence about Venezuela, consider these excerpts from a surreal BBC report.
Venezuelan authorities have arrested two toy company executives and seized almost four million toys, which they say they will distribute to the poor.
Officials accused the company of hoarding toys and hiking prices in the run-up to Christmas.
Last week, the government issued an order to retailers to reduce prices on a range of goods by 30%. …Venezuela…said…”Our children are sacred, we will not let them rob you of Christmas,” it said in a tweet, along with photos and video of thousands of boxes of toys. …
The agency also posted photos of the two executives being marched from the premises by a squad of heavily armed soldiers.
...Anyhow, here are some final passages from the article.
The Venezuelan government is becoming increasingly unpopular as the country’s economic crisis grows. …
The International Monetary Fund estimates that inflation – the rate at which prices go up – will hit 2,000% next year.
Yup, Venezuela is a regular Shangri La.
No wonder Bernie Sanders is so infatuated with the place..."

Too many votes in 37% of Detroit’s precincts

Records: Too many votes in 37% of Detroit’s precincts:
"Voting machines in more than one-third of all Detroit precincts registered more votes than they should have during last month’s presidential election, according to Wayne County records prepared at the request of The Detroit News.
Image result for vote fraudDetailed reports from the office of Wayne County Clerk Cathy Garrett show optical scanners at 248 of the city’s 662 precincts, or 37 percent, tabulated more ballots than the number of voters tallied by workers in the poll books.
Voting irregularities in Detroit have spurred plans for an audit by Michigan Secretary of State Ruth Johnson’s office, Elections Director Chris Thomas said Monday.
The Detroit precincts are among those that couldn’t be counted during a statewide presidential recount that began last week and ended Friday following a decision by the Michigan Supreme Court.
...The problems were the worst in Detroit, where discrepancies meant officials couldn’t recount votes in 392 precincts, or nearly 60 percent.
And two-thirds of those precincts had too many votes.
...“We’re assuming there were (human) errors, and we will have discussions with Detroit election officials and staff in addition to reviewing the ballots,” Thomas said..."

Spy vs. Spy: Inside the Fraying U.S.-Israel Ties

Spy vs. Spy: Inside the Fraying U.S.-Israel Ties - WSJ:
"The U.S. closely monitored Israel’s military bases and eavesdropped on secret communications in 2012, fearing its longtime ally might try to carry out a strike on Fordow, Iran’s most heavily fortified nuclear facility.
Nerves frayed at the White House after senior officials learned Israeli aircraft had flown in and out of Iran in what some believed was a dry run for a commando raid on the site.
Worried that Israel might ignite a regional war, the White House sent a second aircraft carrier to the region and readied attack aircraft, a senior U.S. official said, “in case all hell broke loose.”
Image result for obama Israel cartoonThe two countries, nursing a mutual distrust, each had something to hide. U.S. officials hoped to restrain Israel long enough to advance negotiations on a nuclear deal with Iran that the U.S. had launched in secret.
U.S. officials saw Israel’s strike preparations as an attempt to usurp American foreign policy.
Instead of talking to each other, the allies kept their intentions secret.
To figure out what they weren’t being told, they turned to their spy agencies to fill gaps.
They employed deception, not only against Iran, but against each other.
After working in concert for nearly a decade to keep Iran from an atomic bomb, the U.S. and Israel split over the best means: diplomacy, covert action or military strikes.
Personal strains between President Barack Obama and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu erupted at their first Oval Office meeting in 2009, and an accumulation of grievances in the years since plunged relations between the two countries into crisis.
This Wall Street Journal account of the souring of U.S.-Israel relations over Iran is based on interviews with nearly two dozen current and former senior U.S. and Israeli officials.
Fascinating!

How Donald Trump Can Put an End to Sanctuary Cities

How Donald Trump Can Put an End to Sanctuary Cities:

"This policy is in direct conflict with federal law and is simply unacceptable. Worse still, these cities are actively releasing criminal illegal immigrants back into our communities instead of working with federal officials to deport them or lock them up."

The King of Fake News

The King of Fake News | The American Spectator
"Last week, Hillary Clinton told Congress that an epidemic of “fake news and false propaganda” had flooded social media.
She said, “This is not about politics or partisanship. Lives are at risk, lives of ordinary people just trying to go about their days to do their jobs, contribute to their communities,” Clinton said. “It is a danger that must be addressed and addressed quickly.”
...These days, the liberal media don’t wait for enemy governments to make stuff up.
They do it themselves.
Eleven years ago, a breathless Dan Rather reported a 60 Minutes story based on newly discovered Texas Air National Guard documents.
Rather purported to prove that President George W. Bush violated orders, evaded the draft, and broke a whole bunch of Air Force regulations decades ago while a pilot for the Texas ANG.
The documents were obviously forgeries, a fact that came out within hours of Rather’s report when a few experts at a conservative blog site saw that the typeface couldn’t have been produced when the documents were alleged to have been, because they were printed on a modern computer’s printer rather than a typewriter.
That was a perfect example of fake news.
Image result for Jonathan Gruber liesAnother was Hillary Clinton’s claim that in 1996 she and her daughter Chelsea had landed in Bosnia under sniper fire.
(In 2003 news anchor Brian Williams made a similar claim, reporting that a helo he was riding in was forced down by gunfire during the Iraq invasion. He must have been so lazy that he essentially plagiarized Clinton’s 1996 claim.)
But all those examples are small potatoes.
There is only one King of Fake News.
That’s President Barack Obama.
Everyone remembers his line, “If you like your healthcare plan, you can keep it,” which was PolitiFact’s lie of the year in 2013.
But to fully grasp how Obama and his disastrous team relied on their media pals to spread fake news in order to propel his agenda for the past eight years we have to recall the actions of three people: Jonathan Gruber, Ben Rhodes, and Susan Rice.
Jonathan Gruber was one of the principal architects of Obamacare.
Although Obama denied that Gruber was on his staff, Gruber was paid about $400,000 to draft parts of the Obamacare bill.
The individual mandate — which requires every American to buy health insurance or pay a fine — is his idea.
In 2014, seven videos of Gruber’s speeches were published.
In them, he ridiculed Americans, saying we are so thoroughly stupid that he and the rest of Obama’s team were able to lie on fundamental points of Obamacare to get the bill through Congress and engage the media to publish their lies.
In the videos, Gruber boasted that if people had been told the truth about Obamacare, the bill would have died in Congress.
He said the bill “was written in a tortured way so that the Congressional Budget Office didn’t determine that the individual mandate was a tax.
He said “the lack of transparency is a huge political advantage” and that “the stupidity of the American voter… was really, really critical for the thing to pass.”..."

GOP senators seek probe of Wayne County election issues

GOP senators seek probe of Wayne County election issues:
"Detroit — Twenty-three Republican state senators are calling on Attorney General Bill Schuette to investigate voting irregularities in Detroit and Wayne County discovered through the presidential election recount.
Image result for Wayne County election fraudAt Wayne County’s recount Tuesday, election workers opened a Detroit precinct’s ballot box that was suppose to contain 306 ballots but only had 50 ballots, according to an election observer for President-elect Donald Trump.
The missing ballots caused State Elections Director Chris Thomas to investigate the matter Wednesday while he was at Cobo Center for Wayne County’s recount.
Thomas said Detroit Elections Director Daniel Baxter told him the ballots were left in a container that sits below the voting machine in Detroit’s precinct 152.
...State Sen. Patrick Colbeck, R-Canton, said the missing ballots in that one precinct coupled with issues surrounding numerous precincts that cannot be recounted because of other irregularities should be cause for Schuette to investigate.
“This lemon of a recount may turn into lemonade from the stand point of helping us firm up the integrity of the voting process,” Colbeck said Wednesday.
Penny Crider of Livonia, Colbeck’s district director, said she was the Trump representative at the table when the box was opened and had 256 fewer ballots than records showed.
Crider said the missing ballots create doubt in the minds of voters of the validity of elections.
“It delegitimizes the whole thing,” Crider told The Detroit News.
“I feel very badly for those in Detroit because something needs to be fixed.”..."

ICE spends $100 million ferrying illegal immigrant children around U.S., watchdog reports

ICE spends $100 million ferrying illegal immigrant children around U.S., watchdog reports - Washington Times:
"The federal agency that handles deportations spent more than $100 million of its money over the last few years to ferry illegal immigrant children around the U.S., according to calculations by a watchdog group that says the cash could have been better spent on enforcement.
Image result for obama wasting moneyGovernment figures obtained by the Immigration Reform Law Institute through an open records request show Immigration and Customs Enforcement spent an average of $665 per juvenile in 2014, with most of that going to the cost of airplane flights to shuttle the children among government agencies, to relatives here in the U.S. or back to their home countries — if they’re deported.
At that rate, ICE will spend about $4.5 million flying just the children nabbed at the border in October, and somewhere north of $100 million since the surge began in earnest in 2014.
“It’s insult to injury on a massive scale,” said Dale Wilcox, executive director of IRLI.
He blamed President Obama’s 2012 deportation amnesty for young adult illegal immigrants, the so-called Dreamers, for the surge, saying it enticed tens of thousands of new migrants, particularly juveniles, to take a risk on making the trip.
Instead of being sent back, they are shuttled among various federal agencies until they are eventually delivered to their parents, other relatives or sponsor families — where they often disappear into the shadows..."

Liberal Indoctrination Trumps Education at U.S. Colleges

Liberal Indoctrination Trumps Education at U.S. Colleges:

"Higher education in America is in crisis, not just because of spiraling tuition costs, but because of the toxic atmosphere on campuses. The disease of political correctness has taken root in our colleges and the causes being championed relate very little to the supposed education being offered on campuses.

The liberal group-think on issues such as climate change or “white privilege” is so pervasive that debate it not allowed. The presentation of a conservative viewpoint is either discouraged or completely forbidden. Conservative speakers such as author Ann Coulter and columnist Ben Shapiro have faced harassment and threats on college campuses."
