Punish Americans for Their Heritage, but Reward 'Dreamers': How DACA Outrage Exposes the Left
Punish Americans for Their Heritage, but Reward 'Dreamers': How DACA Outrage Exposes the Left:
"Over the past few months we have had it battered into our heads — in some cases quite literally — that the beneficiaries of acts of immorality, illegality, or even just contextualised normality should be punished for the actions of their forebears.
The white man especially, we are told, should bear responsibility for the actions of his great grandparents. Even when the actions were nothing but remaining silent in the face of what only now seems to us to be such obviously craven and deplorable behaviour.
I am of course talking about slavery, and the demands the United States faces from the left and the minorities they have co-opted for their Marxist cause. Tear down statues. Rewrite history. Destroy whitey.
Well, they’re at least thinking that last one."

'RepDWS' Laptop Placed For Cops To | The Daily Caller:
"A laptop that Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz has frantically fought to keep prosecutors from examining may have been planted for police to find by her since-indicted staffer, Imran Awan, along with a letter to the U.S. Attorney.
U.S. Capitol Police found the laptop after midnight April 6, 2017, in a tiny room that formerly served as a phone booth in the Rayburn House Office Building, according to a Capitol Police report reviewed by The Daily Caller News Foundation’s Investigative Group. "

Media Conspicuously Omits D.C. Metro Shooter’s Immigration Status - Judicial Watch:
"A disturbing incident involving a shooting inside a busy Washington D.C. metro station has received a lot of media attention, but all the reports conspicuously fail to mention if the suspect is an illegal immigrant.
A man was captured on camera firing a gun down the escalator of the Columbia Heights Metro station in Northwest Washington in the middle of the afternoon on August 25.
He eluded police for days and authorities needed help capturing him so they revealed he had an extensive criminal history and identified him as 22-year-old Cesar Morales, Hispanic with brown eyes, black hair and facial and neck tattoos common among members of violent street gangs.
Law enforcement bulletins warned that Morales was armed and dangerous and local media outlets included screenshots of the Metro D.C. Police Department’s social media alert asking for the public’s help in apprehending Morales.
It includes a mug shot of the suspect, who has four tattoos on his face and a large one across his neck. It turns out that Morales had just served a five-year sentence after getting convicted of several gun charges involving the 2013 shooting of a D.C. man.
Washington D.C.’s mainstream newspaper reported that the Federal Bureau of Prisons said Morales walked away form a halfway house overseen by the Baltimore Residential Reentry Management Office, which supervises facilities in Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Delaware and D.C. Morales was moved to the halfway house as part of a system to help inmates transition back into society.
If Morales is in the U.S. illegally, he should have been deported not transitioned back into society..."

The Red Cross’ Secret Disaster — ProPublica
"IN TWO MASSIVE STORMS pounded the United States, leaving hundreds of thousands of people homeless, hungry or without power for days and weeks.
Americans did what they so often do after disasters.
They sent hundreds of millions of dollars to the Red Cross, confident their money would ease the suffering left behind by Superstorm Sandy and Hurricane Isaac.
They believed the charity was up to the job.
They were wrong.
The Red Cross botched key elements of its mission after Sandy and Isaac, leaving behind a trail of unmet needs and acrimony, according to an investigation by ProPublica and NPR.
The charity’s shortcomings were detailed in confidential reports and internal emails, as well as accounts from current and former disaster relief specialists.
What’s more, Red Cross officials at national headquarters in Washington, D.C. compounded the charity’s inability to provide relief by “diverting assets for public relations purposes,” as one internal report puts it.
Distribution of relief supplies, the report said, was “politically driven"...”

New Subsidies Show Which Groups Are Important to Lansing Politicians [Michigan Capitol Confidential]:
"The state recently approved its latest round of business subsidies, announcing that three companies would receive taxpayer money to create “at least” 1,500 new jobs.
If history is a guide, few of these jobs will ever materialize.
But monthly award announcements from the state serve as reminders that there are specific people that state lawmakers care about more about than residents.

If history is a guide, few of these jobs will ever materialize.
But monthly award announcements from the state serve as reminders that there are specific people that state lawmakers care about more about than residents.
Each of these announcements come with a real cost.
The three companies mentioned in the latest announcement have had $9.75 million in taxpayer dollars dangled in front of them.
In state budget terms, that’s not much.
But it’s also a drop in the bucket of the $884 million in business subsidies the state is expected to deliver to favored companies in the upcoming year...."Petition to declare George Soros a terrorist reaches threshold for White House response

France Adopts Law That Uses Informants To Monitor Private Conversations For “Hate Speech” – Return Of Kings:
"The French Government, led by Emmanuel Macron, adopted a law on the 5th of August 2017 punishing non-public “provocations, insults & slander” against those who are (or not) part of a certain group based on their supposed race, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, etc.
This unprecedented measure relies on tips that inform and extract private conversations and exchanges.
If found guilty, the accused can face prison, heavy fines, or “re-education”.

This measure comes after the Night of The Digital Knives and recent crackdowns led by Western liberal governments against views that they brand as “hate speech.”
In France, the usual suspects holding the reins of power already made sure to direct their sanctions entirely against the subversive voices that dared speak their mind against the globalist narrative in public, but from now on, you are not allowed to express your opinion behind closed doors.
This motion was obviously adopted in quasi-secrecy and none of the French media reported on it.

Venezuelans Eating Dogs, Zoo Animals as Economy Collapses - Breitbart
Venezuelans Eating Dogs, Zoo Animals as Economy Collapses - Breitbart:
"Venezuela’s opposition published photos this weekend of men butchering a dead dog on the streets of Caracas, preparing the meat for cooking in a nation that has been forced to take increasingly extreme measures to avoid a famine.
...“While the dictatorship gives away $5 million to the United States and others are considering governorships, Venezuelans are eating dogs,” Vente Venezuela coordinator Javier Chirinos said on Twitter, referring to the five million that dictator Nicolás Maduro has offered victims of Hurricane Harvey to generate goodwill with the international left.
“This is the result of 18 yeares of misery and socialist, and we have the responsibility to denounce it, but above all to do what is necessary to change it,” he continued.
“To wait another year is to prolong hunger, allow more deaths, it is pain. How much more will we ask the people to withstand?”
...Dogs are far from the only animals safe from starving Venezuelans.
In August, zookeepers in Zulia state told reporters that local residents had begun stealing their animals for food.
Among the most coveted targets were collared peccaries (a boar-like mammal) and buffalo...."

It was early, very early in Los Angeles.
Dawn was just beginning -- the horizon was a pure clear blue, the sky still dark enough that the constellations could be seen.
The freeways were full, but the traffic was flowing well, and people on the road were congratulating themselves for their early start, or grateful their night shift was over and thinking about home and bed.
Most people, though, were still asleep.

Hardly anyone was worrying about North Korea -- China and Russia had finally come around on greater sanctions, and the common opinion was that a military coup was coming and Kim Jong Un was about to join his ancestors.
Until a new, very temporary star appeared in the western sky.
People looking at it had a moment to wonder about the flash before seeing what seemed to be the aurora, something very rare in southern California. Then they were distracted, as their phones failed, many of their cars stalled, and they heard echoing muffled booms as power transformers all over the city exploded simultaneously. The entire Los Angeles basin went dark.
Chaos reigned.
On the freeways, tens of thousands of cars traveling at highway speeds became uncontrollable missiles -- engines stalled, lights out, skidding and scraping across the pavement out of control.
Random fires were breaking out across the city -- flammable buildings near exploding transformers, mostly, to start.
The fires went largely unfought -- the phone systems were out so the fire departments didn't know about them, and the fire engines and ambulances wouldn't start anyway (their computer-controlled ignition and fuel systems were dead).

By the time the sun was up, people were on the streets, worried, starting to panic.
More explosions, big ones, were happening in El Segundo, Torrance, Wilmington, and being followed by massive fires filling the sky with black smoke -- oil refineries and chemical plants had lost their control systems.
By noon, uncontrolled fires were sweeping across the valley.
And that was just the first day..."

Options for Removing Kim Jong Un - WSJ
Options for Removing Kim Jong Un - WSJ
"North Korea conducted its sixth nuclear test on Sunday, detonating a bomb 10 times more powerful than its last test a year ago.
The South Korean government says Pyongyang is also preparing its third test of an intercontinental ballistic missile.
The tests underscore how much U.S. intelligence has underestimated the North’s nuclear progress, which will soon make American cities vulnerable to attack.
The standard refrain of foreign-policy experts is that the world has no good options other than war or acquiescence.
The policy default, repeated by the Trump Administration, is pleading with China to coerce North Korea into giving up its nuclear program, despite evidence that Chinese leaders don’t want to help and Kim Jong Un may not take their orders.
A military strike has to be a last resort because it might lead to a larger war that could kill tens of thousands in South Korea and Japan, including U.S. troops.
But the U.S. does have other options.
Washington can put severe pressure on North Korea and the Kim Jong Un regime.
To understand how, take the standard tool kit of statecraft, sometimes summed up by the acronym Dimefil: diplomatic, information, military, economic, finance, intelligence and law enforcement.
• Diplomatic. The U.S. can put far more pressure on countries to cut or restrict ties with North Korea. While the regime preaches an ideology of self-reliance, it needs international ties to raise hard currency and source the raw materials and technology it needs..."
