EXCLUSIVE -- Research: Google Search Manipulation Can Swing Nearly 80 Percent of Undecided Voters | Breitbart:
"By inserting negative search suggestions under the name of a candidate, search engines like Google can shift the opinions of undecided voters by up to 43.4 percent, according to new research by a team at the American Institute for Behavioral Research and Technology and reported exclusively by Breitbart News.
The lead author of the study, Dr. Robert Epstein, has previously conducted research into what he calls the Search Engine Manipulation Effect (SEME).
Image result for Google ElectionsThis research showed that the manipulation of results pages in search engines can shift the voting preferences of undecideds by anywhere between 20 and 80 percent, depending on the demographic...
From the study:
The voting preferences of participants who saw no search suggestions shifted toward the favored candidate by 37.1%. The voting preferences of participants in the search suggestion groups who saw only positive search suggestions shifted similarly (35.6%). However, the voting preferences of participants who saw three positive search suggestions and one negative search suggestion barely shifted (1.8%); this occurred because the negative search suggestion attracted more than 40% of the clicks (negativity bias). In other words, a single negative search suggestion can impact opinions dramatically. Participants who were shown four negative suggestions (and no positives) shifted away from the candidate shown in the search bar (-43.4%).
The researchers conclude that by using this method of manipulation, search engines can shift a “50/50 split split among people who are undecided on an issue to a 90/10 split without people’s awareness and without leaving a paper trail for authorities to follow.”
Further on in the paper, the researchers reference allegations of search suggestion manipulation made against Google during the 2016 election, when the tech giant appeared to be suppressing negative search suggestions for Hillary Clinton while allowing negative suggestions for Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders to remain..."

Alfie Evans Tragedy: Britain's Single Payer System Is To Blame

Alfie Evans Tragedy: Britain's Single Payer System Is To Blame:

"How are such horrors possible? They are possible because decades ago the British bought into the "single-payer" health care myth. It's the very same myth that leading Democrats are now insisting we import into the U.S.
The promise was that every British citizen would have the "right" to health care, at no cost to them. What they didn't know, or understand, was that by putting government in control of paying for health care and dispensing this right also gave the government bureaucrats the ability to decide what care gets provides, who can get it, and under what circumstances."

Cancer cells can go mysteriously dormant for years, and scientists are beginning to understand why

Cancer cells can go mysteriously dormant for years, and scientists are beginning to understand why: "Cancer has always been thought of as something that grows rapidly and uncontrollably, but this view may be wrong.
New evidence suggests that cancer alternatively uses the "accelerator" and the "brake" in order to survive.
If you plot the growth of prostate cancer tumour progression over years, you get a graph that looks something like this:

The graph shows that prostate cancer cells alternate periods of rapid growth with periods of dormancy.
In the above example, the tumour will grow to the point where it starts to produce symptoms and the patient seeks treatment – which usually involves cutting the tumour out.
Surgery is often effective but, for some unfortunate patients, their cancer will return."...

What's Your Function?

By Tammy Derouin

If you grew up prior to today's multi-functional television remote control, you learned how to manage your time at an early age. The television commercial served as an effective tool to see how much you could get done in the least amount of time. The fade away was the starting pistol. My siblings and I would dash, collide and of course, fight over who did what first, before the show returned. Sometimes it was possible to negotiate a plan of attack ahead of time but that meant talking during the show. Negotiations could deteriorate very quickly if too much talking interfered with the program.

There was a time when entertainment was experienced in the present. Making plans and hoping they wouldn't be interrupted actually played a part in making the entertaining experience, your show of choice, special. If you missed it, it was gone. Eventually, there would be a re-broadcast but there was no guarantee you would see it. In more recent decades, even prior to today's multi-functional remote, holding out for summer re-runs was the best way to catch missed episodes. I recall neighborhood kids explaining or in some cases, acting out scenes for those who missed the show of choice.

Life was lived in the present. Pausing your entertainment was not possible. Don't get me wrong, it is nice to record shows and skip commercials. But, some of life's early childhood learning experiences came from learning how to get things done and done well, in a short amount of time. There was a given time frame and if you failed, life went on without you.

If you grew up in the 70's and 80's.......

Fear of the Left: The Most Powerful Force in America Today | The Stream

Fear of the Left: The Most Powerful Force in America Today | The Stream
"The dominant force in America and many other Western countries today is fear of the left.
See the source imageThis is a result of the fact that the most dynamic religion of the past 100 years has been neither Christianity nor Islam.
It has been leftism.
Whoever does not recognize this does not understand the contemporary world.

What is Leftism?

Leftism — in its incarnations, such as Marxism, communism and socialism; expressed through egalitarianism, environmentalism and feminism; in its denigration of capitalism and Western civilization, especially America and Israel; in its supplanting of Christianity and Judaism; through its influence on Christianity and Judaism; in its celebration of race; and in its replacing of reason with romanticism — has almost completely taken over the news and entertainment media and institutions of education.
There is a largely (though not entirely) nonviolent reign of ideological terror in America.
In almost every area of life, people fear antagonizing the left.

A Fear That Silences

Last week, before my speech at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a man employed by the university (I will not say in what department) walked over to me, looked around to see whether anyone was watching and whispered in my ear, “I’m a conservative.”
This happens just about everywhere I speak.
People whisper — yes, whisper — that they are conservative or they support Trump.
The last time I experienced people looking around to check whether they were seen speaking to me was with dissidents in the Soviet Union..."

Retired General Says F-22 Production Was Killed So That A New Bomber Could Live - The Drive

Retired General Says F-22 Production Was Killed So That A New Bomber Could Live - The Drive
"Retired Air Force Chief of Staff General Norton Schwartz has stated in his new memoir that F-22 production was idiotically axed after building less than half the required number so that the flying force could get then-Secretary of Defense Robert Gates to approve building a new stealth bomber.
...Behind the scenes, Schwartz's predecessor General Mike Moseley "never gave up in his principled attempts to get those 381 F-22s" the book states.
That push ended up getting Moseley fired along with his civilian counterpart, Air Force Secretary Mike Wynn.
After the culling, the brass thought that the new bomber was simply too important and that the chances of winning both the F-22 and bomber arguments with Gates, who was staunchly averse to building high-priced weapons that couldn't be used in Iraq or Afghanistan, was next to zero.
...All this is interesting for a number of reasons.
First, it slams home my position that I have stated for years that Gates is largely to blame for the F-22 production debacle, along with a whole slew of near-sighted decisions and calls—in particular, poor handicapping of near-peer adversaries technological abilities and intent.
Discounting the quick rise of China's stealth fighter programs is among the worst calls Gates made..."

Food Stamps, Disability, Welfare, Medicaid Enrollment Plunges,:

Image result for Down Arrow Clip Art Free"The Department of Agriculture, which runs the food stamp program — officially called Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program — reports that enrollment in January was 40.7 million, the lowest it's been since May 2010.
In the months since President Trump has been in office, the number of people collecting food stamps plunged by nearly 2 million.
The same is true for welfare. Enrollment in the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families program dropped 12% last year, to reach 2.3 million."
