"In attacking West in this fashion, Coates actually proves West’s larger point. West argued that he was an individual, capable of making individual decisions and thinking individual thoughts; he argued that there were many Americans who wanted to box him in, deliberately prevent him from thinking outside that box. Coates’ response: Stop thinking outside the box, or I’ll call you white."

GOP Candidate Bassilian Discovers US Center for Disease Control Diverted $3 Million to Liberal Group for Democrat Campaigns

GOP Candidate Bassilian Discovers US Center for Disease Control Diverted $3 Million to Liberal Group for Democrat Campaigns:
Ron Bassilian is running for California’s 37th Congressional district as a Republican in 2018.
...Recently, Ron Bassilian discovered the US Center for Disease Control was diverting taxpayer dollars, at least $3 million, to a local liberal group to far left campaigns.

Rep. Karen Bass (D-CA) hands over a $3 million CDC check to Community Coalition.
Ron Bassilian reported this earlier this week:
...That must be nice, I thought, getting paid to be advocate for poor people.  So I kept tabs on this group, Community Coalition.  And the longer I kept tabs on it, the less I liked what I saw.
I’ve talked about how March for our Lives was a thinly veiled Democrat campaign – follow the money to the DNC, and follow the words to see they really want to smear the NRA and GOP.  Well, here they are funding kids to go speak there.
Check out their other campaignsBlack Lives Matter, huge settlements for schools, you name it.
Now, why do I say this?  Well, I was trying to look up the donation my friend was bragging about.  Turns out either I was wrong or that wasn’t all.  This organization got a $3 million check from the CDC – a government organization – for “tackling health issues.”  And there handing the check is Karen Bass.
Can someone please explain to me what any of these issues have to do with tackling health?…
…Let’s call this CDC grant for what it is. It’s the heyday of Obama era politics – funneling government money into organizations that just go organize and advocate for the Democratic Party.
The Democratic Party isn’t winning in California because their ideas are better, or they’re more compassionate than conservatives. It’s because they monopolized the racket..."

Shark Punching

By Tammy Derouin

Life is demanding, extremely difficult and is far from fair. How we are taught or encouraged to deal with difficult situations, beginning at a young age, determines how we adapt, accept and handle the situations which come our way.

We've all watched toddlers topple over or bump into something. How you respond is very important because they will usually mimic your reaction. If you look concerned or worried, their little questioning frown will get much deeper and may turn into unnecessary wailing. But, if you make light of it, they recover much quicker. Shaking it off with a smile encourages them to shake it off with a smile. They've just learned that a little boo boo doesn't have to be a show stopper and disappointment doesn't mean the world is coming to an end.

Children need to be encouraged to pick themselves up, brush themselves off and start all over again. As adults, we know life is a never ending challenge. We will fall, have many setbacks and endure many hardships during the course of our life. Picking yourself up after a setback and learning how to brush off the elements which wish to cripple or destroy you is a life-long challenge. You will start over many times. The key is to never give up.

Society has done a great disservice by trying to soften every learning experience. Life is not only challenging but life hurts. Cuts and bruises remind us of prior experiences. They may cause us to pause and reevaluate our current situation to avoid future mishaps. Emotional bruises serve a purpose as well. Surviving difficult situations and understanding certain types of harmful behavior may prevent future heartache or misfortune. Scars, physical or mental, are our reminders that something went wrong. They can be used as a reference to avoid future wrong turns.

For some reason the school of hard knocks became politically incorrect over the past generation.......

An ancient trap awaits China and US - The Boston Globe

An ancient trap awaits China and US - The Boston Globe:
"A HUNDRED YEARS AGO, World War I was entering its final phase.
Image result for “Thucydides trap,”No one in either Berlin or London had set out to expend so vast a quantity of blood and treasure on four years of industrialized slaughter.
...Historians often look back to the events of the 1890s and 1900s in an effort to trace the origins of the Anglo-German antagonism.
The long-established narrative goes something like this: The German economy was overtaking the British economy, a trend summed up in the words “Made in Germany” that were stamped on a rising proportion of imported manufactures.
Germany had imperial ambitions, too, acquiring colonies in Asia and Africa.
And it was building a fleet that was obviously intended to rival the Royal Navy.
Increasingly, as their economy boomed, the Germans argued that their political system — in which the parliament (the Reichstag) had much less power than its British equivalent, and the monarch much more power — was intrinsically superior. Their material successes bolstered an already deep-rooted nationalism.
The ultimate result was that Britain and Germany followed the ancient example of Sparta and Athens: the incumbent power and the rising power ended up going to war.
The Harvard political scientist Graham Allison calls it the “Thucydides trap,” after the historian of the Peloponnesian War.
Are the United States and China on the way to repeating this classic historical mistake?
Having just spent a fascinating week in Beijing and Shanghai, I fear they may be..."

They moved hundreds of billions of dollars to their fat cat bosses in the union sector, they almost destroyed our military, they betrayed us to our enemies, they betrayed our allies, the divided us by race. In short, they did their best to destroy this great country, and get rich at the same time. As his preacher famously said, “God Damn America!” (And those white people too).
No, Mueller can’t stop. If he does, the entire house of cards comes crashing down. The Left will be finished in America for a generation. Barack, Valerie, Hillary and the rest of them go to the big house. Then we find out the real extent of their crimes against the people."

The findings stem from an analysis that tracked concussions and dementia risk among nearly 360,000 military veterans.
Study author Deborah Barnes noted that many of the younger vets in the study had experienced concussions while in combat, often in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Head blows among older vets were often due to falls or car accidents.
"Results were similar in the two groups," she said, "so we don't think there is anything special about these head injuries."..."

Illinois counties declare 'sanctuary' status for gun owners - Chicago Tribune

Illinois counties declare 'sanctuary' status for gun owners - Chicago Tribune:
"Several rural Illinois counties have taken a stand for gun rights by co-opting a word that conservatives associate with a liberal policy to skirt the law: sanctuary.
At least five counties recently passed resolutions declaring themselves sanctuary counties for gun owners — a reference to so-called sanctuary cities such as Chicago that don't cooperate with aspects of federal immigration enforcement.
The resolutions are meant to put the Democratic-controlled Legislature on notice that if it passes a host of gun bills, including new age restrictions for certain weapons, a bump stock ban and size limit for gun magazines, the counties might bar their employees from enforcing the new laws.
"It's a buzzword, a word that really gets attention.
With all these sanctuary cities, we just decided to turn it around to protect our Second Amendment rights," said David Campbell, vice chairman of the Effingham County Board.
He said at least 20 Illinois counties and local officials in Oregon and Washington have asked for copies of Effingham County's resolution."

Steve Hilton: Mueller probe is a political counter-revolution to overthrow Trump -- It must be defeated | Fox News:

Image result for flickr commons images robert mueller"But this all-out effort by the establishment to remove a president who was legitimately elected according to the Constitution is doing terrible damage to the United States. Not just because it’s such a massive distraction from the bold policymaking that’s needed to help address the very real problems in our economy, in our society – inadequate skills and family breakdown to name just two. But because it undermines democracy and the rule of law.
How do you think people will feel if they vote for an outsider – and the insiders just turn around and say: “Sorry, you got it wrong. You can’t do that.”
In a nutshell, that’s what the Mueller investigation is all about."

"Could happen. Guess we could wait around and see," said Kent..."

"Dear progressives, does this graphic shock and anger you?
Does it invoke feelings of disgust?
Good...........because this graphic, that depicts the brutal lynching of J. Thomas Shipp, on August 7 1930 by Democrat voters, a lynching carried out with the full knowledge and approval of the Democrat Party should anger and disgust you.
It should anger and disgust you as much as the lie perpetrated for generations that the Democrats are the party of civil rights.
It should anger and disgust you as much as the behaviour of Democrats today, who've put away their whips and dogs but regularly indulge in metaphorical lynchings of any black American that dares to set an ideological foot off the Democrat Plantation.
It should anger and disgust you because truth and the lessons that history can teach us are worthy of utterance however damaging they might be to those in power whatever their political allegiance.
It should anger and disgust you because a lie was sold to the American People, a lie that has tainted and continues to taint race relations in this country.
A lie deliberately crafted by Democrats to present themselves as friends and champions of black Americans, rather than the oppressors that they were and largely remain to this day.
As Kanye West has so recently discovered and what the Democrats are so fearful of other black Americans discovering is the simple history of the Democrat Party."

An Eagle Scout Explains the Fatal Folly of Taking the ‘Boy’ out of Boy Scouts - Scott Morefield

An Eagle Scout Explains the Fatal Folly of Taking the ‘Boy’ out of Boy Scouts - Scott Morefield:
"The first time I walked into a Boy Scout meeting as a boy of eleven is as ingrained in my mind as if it were yesterday.

...Those moments began what was to be a seven year adventure and the most significant non-school element of my pre-teen and teen-aged life.
They were years filled with lots of “boy-stuff” under the watchful supervision of caring men and the camaraderie of other boys.
...There was a lot of “doing” in Scouting, but the ultimate goal was always the same.
The Boy Scouts of America started in 1910 as a way to promote good citizenship and Christian morality, two years after Sir Robert Baden-Powell founded the movement in England.
“We aim for the practice of Christianity in their everyday life and dealings, and not merely the profession of its theology on Sundays,” Baden-Powell wrote in Scouting For Boys.
...I am grateful for Scouting and what it meant to me growing up.
But I am also angry at what liberals have turned the group into, as well as the fact that, a decade from now, it very likely won’t exist.
Because tragically, the Boy Scouts’ stubborn march to ‘inclusivity’ at any cost has managed to gut the organization of what made it special in the first place, which inevitably reminded me of this key quote from the movie The Incredibles -
“If everyone is special, no one is.”

The Iran Deal FACTS: What The MSM Isn't Telling You About The JCPOA

The Iran Deal FACTS: What The MSM Isn't Telling You About The JCPOA
The Iran Deal FACTS: What The MSM Isn’t Telling You About The JCPOA
"...For example, the Washinton Post fact checker claimed today that Iran would never build a nuclear weapon because they reduced the number of centrifuges to 5,060.
The reduction is true, but according to former deputy director of the CIA Mike Morell that gives them enough enrichment capacity to produce bombs but not enough for a peaceful power program.
John Gambrell of the Associated Press wrote a once-sided anti-Trump article about Iran and the JCPOA without mentioning that the AP discovered a secret side deal that allows Iran to upgrade and modernize its centrifuges thus increasing its enriching capacity, all before the deal officially expires.
Former Secretary of State John Kerry made a speech in Italy today saying that Iran was compliant with the deal and all of the promised inspections are being done. That too is a lie.
And no one is mentioning the suspicious activity at the Fordo nuclear site.
The media isn’t giving you the facts but here’s an easy way to get them for yourself.  There are four posts teased below (it’s too much information to put in one post). Each claim in every post links to major media sources, the text of the JCPOA, and/ or recognized nuclear weapon think tanks to prove it’s veracity.
The first post will help you understand what you were never told about and what the Obama administration lied to you about the Iran deal, and secret side deals that have been revealed. The second will explain the parts of the JCPOA Iran has either broken or that their refusal to allow inspections of military sites prevent the IAEA to know whether or not they are compliant. The third post explains what Netanyahu was talking about when unveiled the documents were taken from Iran and includes his power point direct from Jerusalem, and finally the fourth presents satellite imagery revealing suspicious and possible nuclear-related activity at the Fordo nuclear sites
By reading the posts below, and you will understand what the media isn’t telling you and/or what they aren’t being truthful about.
1)  Why Trump MUST Pull Out Of The Iran Nuclear Deal
https://lidblog.com/why-president-trump-should-kill-jcpoa/
America was misled by former President Obama, former Secretary of State Kerry and their cronies when trying to sell the JCPOA to  America. Additionally, parts of the deal were hidden from the public, and the Obama administration lied to America about other parts. Heck, the administration admitted it, in a New York Times Magazine piece Ben Rhodes explained how he led the administration’s efforts to misrepresent the truth in order “to sell” the JCPOA to the press. This post fills in the blanks.
2) Claims That Iran Is Complying With The JCPOA Aren’t True
https://lidblog.com/claim-iran-complying-with-jcpoa/  Whether you agree with the President’s decision or not, any claim that we should stay in the deal because Iran is complying with the JCPOA is simply not true. In some cases, we know that Iran has violated the terms of the deal,  in other cases, the IAEA hasn’t done its job so we don’t know if the rogue regime is compliant.

3) Netanyahu Proves Iran Lied About Nuclear Program (With Video & Bibi’s PowerPoint)
https://lidblog.com/netanyahu-proves-iran-lied-jcpoa/
Using information secretly gathered from Iran and verified by the United States, Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu exposed a major lie in the information the Iranians supplied to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).  That data was a required to be turned over before the JCPOA could be implemented. In other words, the entire agreement was based on a lie and should never have been implemented.
4) Satellite Pics Prove Iran Has Opened & Expanded Fordo Nuclear Facility
https://lidblog.com/fordo-nuclear-facility/ New satellite images of Iran’s Fordo Nuclear Facility show that Iran has opened up the gates, and added new construction to its nuclear weapons plant. Fordo is dug deep into a mountain and thought to be resistant to air strikes. There is no reason to expand the site unless Iran had a bomb-making program
