Addison Barnes victorious: Judge's ruling allows student to wear pro-Trump 'Border Wall' shirt - Washington Times:

“So First Amendment protections vary from high school to high school?” the judge asked. “The T-shirt is core protected speech, and walking down the streets of Hillsboro, no state official — petty or grand — would be able to do much about that T-shirt legitimately under the Constitution.”"

Image result for child gang rape and sex slavery by large numbers of Muslim men...Rowan, Ross and I all knew we were referring to a gentleman by the name of Tommy Robinson. I expect many of you know that, too.
But I doubt most Australian viewers had much of a clue about it, and I'm pretty certain the overwhelming majority of his fellow Englishmen are unaware of his fate.
...On Friday, Robinson was livestreaming (from his telephone) outside Leeds Crown Court where last week's Grooming Gang of the Week were on trial for "grooming" - the useless euphemism for industrial-scale child gang rape and sex slavery by large numbers of Muslim men with the active connivance (as I pointed out to the Sky guys) of every organ of the state: social workers, police, politicians.
Oh, and also the media..."

Increasing Similarity of Billboard Songs - Slashdot

Image result for Billboard chartsIncreasing Similarity of Billboard Songs - Slashdot:
"It's not just you, others have also noticed that popular songs on the Billboard charts sound similar. But what you may not realize is that in the recent days, they're sounding even more similar.
Andrew Thompson and Matt Daniels for The Pudding make the case:
From 2010-2014, the top ten producers (by number of hits) wrote about 40% of songs that achieved #1 - #5 ranking on the Billboard Hot 100.
In the late-80s, the top ten producers were credited with half as many hits, about 19%.
In other words, more songs have been produced by fewer and fewer topline songwriters, who oversee the combinations of all the separately created sounds.
Take a less personal production process and execute that process by a shrinking number of people and everything starts to sound more or less the same..."

Of those, “hundreds” were released and 40 have already been arrested for new crimes, said ICE, a branch of Homeland Security."

"One of the fastest ways to ruin anything is to get lawyers involved, and lawyers are running amok in America today.
Several decades ago, Supreme Court Chief Justice Warren Burger warned that our nation would become “a society overrun by hordes of lawyers, hungry as locusts”, and that is precisely what has happened.
...Earlier today I came across another shocking example of this phenomenon.
McDonald’s is actually being sued for charging the same price for a Quarter Pounder with cheese and a Quarter Pounder without cheese
Two McDonald’s customers in Florida are suing the fast-food giant for a hefty sum of $5 million because they say they’re being unfairly charged for cheese they don’t want on their burgers."

Your Next Glass of Wine Might Be a Fake—and You'll Love It | WIRED
"...the vast majority of American wine drinkers... want wine that tastes good and doesn’t cost much.
...“The question we tried to answer was, how do we make these generic wines better?” Walker says.
...The breakthrough started with baby food.
In 2012, Hicks was about to become a father.
He started wondering what, exactly, was in the organic, premium-priced products that he and his wife were planning to feed their newborn, so he sent samples off for laboratory analysis.
“If you know Kevin,” Walker says, “you understand that that’s just totally something he would do.”
When the bills—as much as $1,500 for a single sample—started to add up, Hicks created a lab of his own, which he dubbed Ellipse Analytics.
He had a bigger plan.
He invested several million dollars in equipment and hired a team of scientists and technicians and before long, Ellipse had enticed paying clients to commission chemical breakdowns of entire consumer categories, like protein powders and sunscreens.
Walker saw the potential for wine..."

Prevailing Wage Legislation and the Continuing Significance of Race by David E Bernstein :: SSRN

Prevailing Wage Legislation and the Continuing Significance of Race by David E Bernstein :: SSRN
See the source image"Since the early twentieth century, labor unions have lobbied federal and state governments to enact and enforce laws requiring government contractors to pay “prevailing wages” to employees on public works projects.
These laws, currently active at the federal level and in approximately thirty states, typically in practice require that contractors pay according to the local union wage scale.
The laws also require employers to adhere to union work rules.
The combination of these rules makes it extremely difficult for nonunion contractors to compete for public works contracts.
...
Part I of this Article discusses the discriminatory history of the most significant of all prevailing wage laws, the Davis-Bacon Act.
As discussed below, Davis-Bacon was passed with the explicit intent of excluding African American workers from federal construction projects, and its discriminatory effects continued for decades..."
