Public university hides results of hate-crime investigation, including suspects' race - The College Fix
"...A public university in Maryland is refusing to provide any information about two students investigated for allegedly harassing and assaulting Jewish fraternity members, claiming it would violate federal law.
...In contrast to the University of Maryland’s reaction to the murder of a black student – including the creation of a “rapid-response team” to respond to bias reports – Towson University (below) is eager to downplay the Alpha Epsilon Pi incident as isolated.
...Two AEPi members were walking to the fraternity house near campus April 29 when they were reportedly harassed by two fellow students with profanity and racial slurs, including “fuck the Jews,” according to The Baltimore Sun
They were followed to their house, where one member was reportedly punched in the face.
...Investigations by both Towson and the Baltimore County Police Department have now been closed, with neither revealing the identities of the alleged assailants..."

Social Investing Drives Pensions Into a Ditch | Economics21
Image result for liberal lunacy"Environmental, social and governance (ESG) investing has evolved from simple screening approaches in the 1960s to an increasingly intrusive practice that seeks to impose political agendas on the governance of major corporations.
Activist investing revolves around a belief that taking into account a company’s conduct outside its core profit-generating business can enhance investment performance.
But new research released by the Main Street Investors Coalition confirms earlier findings that resolutions driven by activist shareholders deliver no value for shareholders.
The three elements of ESG investing all revolve around broadly progressive political themes..."

The former machinist mate who spent one year in federal prison for unauthorized photos taken aboard a nuclear submarine is seeking legal recourse due to unequal protection of the law. Mr. Saucier claims prosecuting authorities made an example of him — he pleaded guilty to unauthorized detention of defense information while aboard the USS Alexandria — while legally excusing former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s decision to maintain a secret email server."

"Last week, protestors in San Francisco blocked the path of commuter buses shuttling workers to Silicon Valley.
Claiming the tech sector is destroying their city, the demonstrators piled electric scooters in front of coaches enroute to Google, Apple and other hi-tech companies.
Even though those companies have brought enormous success and wealth to San Francisco, prices have soared, particularly for property.
Homelessness has also skyrocketed and commutes have been lengthened by the lack of affordable housing across the city.
The growing levels of dissatisfaction in the Bay Area can be seen by the results of a new survey..."

"WHAT IS HIDING BEHIND THE TRADE WAR BETWEEN THE USA AND THE EUROPEAN UNION. HERE'S HOW IT INVOLVES THE NEW ITALIAN GOVERNMENT-by Antonio Socci /
The "economic war" that has broken out between the United States and the European Union is much more than a controversy due to the unprecedented German trade surplus.
Much more than a question of tariffs: it is the return of history .
In fact, Germany, which is certainly a major country, is now back to being a major problem.
Not just for Europe, but also for the United States.
And Trump has every intention of winning the arm wrestling fight with Merkel,
Trimming back Germany's imperial designs (Brexit was already a step in this direction: Britain is historically hostile to the continental empires).
Germany will lose its confrontation with the US and it could be a blow to the entire European Union of Maastricht (not to be confused with the original European Community).
The laws of geopolitics are inescapable and nations that tend towards continental supremacy, like Germany, should learn from the mistakes of the past..."

Truth and Myth on the Gender Pay Gap - Foundation for Economic Education
"There are myths on both sides here, and taking steps toward gender equality requires an honest accounting of the economic and social facts.
Image result for Myth on the Gender Pay GapThe ongoing battle over gender equality has turned the question of the relative pay of women and men into quite the political football.
Over the last few years, defenders of markets, including me, have been on the offensive, arguing that the gender pay gap is in some sense a “myth.”
More recently, critics have replied that it’s not a myth and that those who think it is a myth are peddling nonsense.
It turns out that both sides have a point.
Whether the gender pay gap is a myth depends upon exactly what claim either side is making.
Below, I hope to sort out these various claims and make clear what we can and cannot say is true and false about the gender pay gap.
What Is Mythical?...

HERE IT IS--Complete List of President Trump’s Historic Accomplishments After First 500 Days in Office

HERE IT IS--Complete List of President Trump’s Historic Accomplishments After First 500 Days in Office:
"President Donald J. Trump’s accomplishments his first 500 days in Office are arguably the best first 500 days of any President in US history since Washington.
In spite of massive headwinds from the actions of the corrupt and criminal prior administration, the Democrat Party and their MSM, the President has stuck to his campaign promises!
Below is a list of his major accomplishments.
President Trump was inaugurated on January 20th, 2017, 500 days ago.
Since then his accomplishments are nothing short of miraculous.  In spite of massive attacks from the MSM, an investigation created through the efforts of the prior corrupt administration, and a Democrat Party that does all they can to derail him, the President kept his promises and did all he could to Make America Great Again.
The results speak for themselves.
The Economy –
The US stock market is a barometer of economic activity and since President Trump was elected it has skyrocketed.
The stock market is currently up more than 33% (or a third) since President Trump won the election.  The Dow has reached more than 26,000 points for the first time in its history.  The Dow broke the record for the fastest 500, 1,000, 2,000, 3,000, 4,000, 5,000, 6,000 and 7,000 point increases between major milestones in the history of the Dow since Donald Trump was elected President.
The Dow today stands at 24,635.  It had more all-time closing highs in 2017 and the Dow increased more in 2017 than any year in history.  President Trump enjoys 95 all-time highs since his election and 78 since his inauguration.  The Dow, S&P 500 and Russell 2000 all set record highs since the election.
Americans of all walks of life are seeing their 401k’s explode because of President Trump..."

It's Now Against The Law In California To Shower And Do Laundry On The Same Day | Zero Hedge
"Governor Jerry Brown is retiring but not before he passes a few draconian laws as parting gifts for California.
Two bills were signed into law on Thursday of last week to “help California be better prepared for future droughts and the effects of climate change.”
The mandatory water conservation standards will be permanent, according to their wording, and not just for use in times of crisis.
To make a long story short, now that these bills are law, it’s illegal to take a shower and do a load of laundry in the same day because you’ll exceed your “ration.”

Here’s the wording of the new laws.

Senate Bill 606 establishes a “governing body” to oversee all water suppliers, both private and public and will require extensive paperwork from those utility companies..."

Media “fact checks” Senator who said more than half of Muslims in Australia are not in the labor force « Refugee Resettlement Watch:
"Don’t you just love it when the Left leaning media pounces on a number given by a Senator they obviously despise, does a “fact check,” proclaims him “wrong” in a headline and proceeds then to reveal some facts to show that he was pretty darn close when he said 56% of Australian Muslims are not in the labor force.
Here is the story at ABC News Australia with some very interesting facts about the pathetic numbers of Muslims working in that country.  Conclusion: Muslim women (home cranking out babies) are dragging their numbers down!
...ABC News headline:

Fact check: Are more than half of Australia’s working-age Muslims not in the workforce?

Australian senator
How many readers got past this photo at the top of the “fact check?”
The claim
Independent Senator Fraser Anning has frequently used Twitter to campaign against those migrants and asylum seekers he claims come to Australia “for a life of permanent handouts”.
Senator Anning, who represented Pauline Hanson’s One Nation party until January 2018, has also praised Turnbull Government plans to tighten eligibility for welfare payments for recently-arrived migrants.
The Government has legislation before Parliament which would extend the waiting period for various welfare payments to migrants from two years to three years, while proposing to extend this to four years in the 2018 budget.

The tweet that started it all!
Fact Check analysed data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS), which economics professor John Quiggin, of the University of Queensland, then verified.
The analysis showed 43 per cent of working-age Muslims were not in the labour force — significantly less than the figure of 56 per cent cited by Senator Anning..."

The US has 11 separate 'nations' with entirely different cultures - Business Insider
"The United States has many regions, and author Colin Woodard argues that it can be divided into 11 sub-nations.
Woodard's defined nations range from the "Deep South" to the "Midlands" and "El Norte."
The cultural differences between them contribute to the political tensions between states and how they fit into the US overall, he said.
The United States comprises several different regions, each with its own rich history and cultural identity.
Exactly where those regions start and end has been a long-running debate..."

POLITICIZING THE FBI: How James Comey Succeeded Where Richard Nixon Failed | The Daily Caller
"A little over 40 years ago, Richard Nixon went from a landslide re-election winner to a president forced to resign in disgrace.
Image result for Comey Succeeded Where Richard NixonNixon’s downfall was the direct result of his unsuccessful attempts to politicize through patronage of an independent, straight-arrow FBI.
The commonsense, ethical lesson from this for all government officials would be to avoid attempts to use our nation’s independent fact-finder as a partisan force.
There is as well, of course, a more perverse lesson to be learned from Nixon’s downfall at the hands of an independent FBI, to wit: there is much power to gain by politicizing the Bureau, but only if its upper-leadership team is all on partisan board.
Emerging evidence increasingly suggests, sadly, that this was former FBI Director James Comey’s leadership strategy in our country’s most sensitive investigations..."

'Transgender handouts' examine 'Gender-Normative Privilege'

    See the source image
  • The “LGBTQIA+ Resource Center” at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst offers a variety of "transgender handouts" addressing issues such as "Gender-Normative Privilege" and "How Can Your Campus Be More Trans-Inclusive?"
  • There is also a glossary of "Transgender Terminology" that defines terms such as “Cisgender Privilege,” “Two Spirit People,” “Genderqueer Individuals,” and “Gender Affirming Surgery.”

..."[The Stonewall Center] has served as a model for many other colleges and universities, and today more than 150 LGBT campus centers and offices exist across the United States and Canada."
A primer on Gender-Normative Privilege, for instance, provides a checklist students can use to identify “if I am gender normative (or, in some cases, simply perceived as gender normative).”
Some of the indications that one is gender normative include

  • the ability to “purchase shoes that fit my gender expression without having to order them in special sizes or asking someone to custom-make them,”
  • being able to use the showers at a gym or public pool, and
  • not being “expected to constantly defend my medical decisions.”...
