Facebook removed an excerpt from the U.S. Declaration of Independence, claiming the text violated the social network’s policies on “hate speech.”
The Liberty County Vindicator had been uploading the Declaration of Independence in parts to their Facebook page, only for the tenth part to be removed by the social network.
The text was as follows:

Independence Day

By Tammy Derouin

Happy Independence Day! The United States of America was established 242 years ago today. Fifty-six brave men signed their names to the Declaration of Independence, severing ties and absolving allegiance from the British Crown.

The desire for independence had been brewing for some time. The famous Shot Heard Around the World, the Battle of Lexington and Concord, took place on April 19, 1775, well over a year prior to the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

I have a picture of the Battle of Lexington hanging in my living room. It serves as a constant reminder of how blessed we are to be free. Whether I'm facing some of life's normal daily challenges or larger threats of injustice, which we all occasionally face at some point, The Battle of Lexington has become a symbol; that which is worth having is worth fighting for and defending.

There will always be outside forces which will attempt to make life difficult or which will try to encroach or impede upon your rights to life, liberty or the pursuit of happiness. Man will be man. History is full of examples where man finds it necessary to control the lives of others. Millions have died under such tyrannical rule. Freedom is always the desired goal. We live in a country where freedom and individual rights are recognized. Why would we want to give that up?

Man will try to deceive you into thinking that government should determine your rights. The problem with that is, if we begin to believe or demand that the government is the giver of rights, not God, then government can also take them away.......

More liberal lies!-----Amy Coney Barrett: Center for American Progress Lies About Her | National Review

Amy Coney Barrett: Center for American Progress Lies About Her | National Review
"Having begun the process by spreading Infowars-level conspiracy theories regarding the resignation of Anthony Kennedy, the Center for American Progress has now moved on to brazenly lying about the judicial record of one of the frontrunners to replace him, Amy Coney Barrett.
This morning, the @WhyCourtsMatter account made the following accusation:

As a judge, Barrett sided against an African American worker in favor of a company’s “separate-but-equal arrangement,” flying in the face of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Now, she’s up for a seat on our nation’s highest court.
The substantive description of this case is off — bizarrely off, in fact.
  • Worse still, the decision was not written by Amy Barrett.
  • Not only was Barrett not present on the three-judge panel that rendered the verdict, but she didn’t even take her place on the Seventh Circuit until November, 2017 — five months after the case was concluded.
  • In fact, the ruling was penned by Judge Diane Sykes — a woman, certainly, but a completely different one.

Portland: A Preview of Civil War? | Intellectual Takeout
"Last week, Rasmussen Reports released a poll that revealed 31% of Americans think a U.S. civil war is likely soon. 59% of all voters are concerned that “those opposed to President Trump’s policies will resort to violence.”
On Saturday, June 30, a group called Patriot Prayer held a free-speech rally and march after applying for and receiving the necessary permits from the city of Portland. Several hundred supporters of Patriot Prayer showed up.
Several hundred members of Antifa also showed up.
Once the Patriot Prayer group began the march, they were attacked by Antifa in the typical all-black outfits the group prefers.
From the video below, it looks like Antifa started the fight, but didn't finish it -- something that would disappoint old-school dads and grandpas across the country. And, as we’ve seen in far too many of these clashes, the police mostly stood to the side.
Here’s another angle of the fighting:

I got some chemicals in my eyes, had em cleaned out. Will update crazy video as time permits. It was a wild brawl basically. Police have cancelled the march’s permit.
As we get closer to the mid-term election in November, we can expect the violence to escalate. Indeed, the Antifa-led violence we saw during the 2016 presidential election will probably pale in comparison to what is coming.

After returning from a tour of some of the war zones in the Middle East — which ended with the Free Iran Gathering 2018 in Paris — I am struck by the realization that America really did have a Manchurian Candidate in The White House for eight years. If you look at the evidence, there really is no other conclusion. The calamitous consequences of the Obama presidency will be felt for the foreseeable future.

"...Wayne County officials have called the incomplete jail the“most notorious symbol of government failure."
In 2011, Wayne County started building the estimated $220 million jail near the I-75 service drive.
In 2013, an estimated $151 million of the jail was built when construction was stopped because the price to finish the project jumped by $171 million more than originally planned.
The cost overruns ultimately led to corruption charges against two county officials and a contractor working on the site..."

Americans say U.S. is great, but Republicans believe it more than Democrats - Washington Times
"As America prepares to ring in its 242nd birthday, a new survey finds that while a majority of its people say the U.S. is one of the greatest countries in the world, Republicans are more likely to support that statement than Democrats, according to a report by the Pew Research Center.
An estimated
Image result for we've got a problem
  • 41 percent of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents support that the U.S. “stands above other countries”, compared to
  • 19 percent of Democrats and those that lean Democratic.
...Across racial categories, a similar share of whites (30 percent), blacks (31 percent) and Hispanics (26 percent) view the U.S. as a great country and on par with some other countries, the authors wrote.
But there is a large gap in viewpoint based on age group, the researchers found, with
  • Americans 65 and older more likely to say the U.S. stands above all other nations (44 percent) compared to
  • 12 percent of those age 30 or younger.
