"On Tuesday, "The View" co-host Whoopi Goldberg astonishingly suggested that Donald Trump Jr.'s sons may have "tendencies" to assault women.

Goldberg was reacting to a Daily Mail TV interview wherein the eldest Trump son said he fears for his young sons due to the political weaponization of the #MeToo movement, where an innocent man can be destroyed over decades-old, uncorroborated, changing allegations — a clear reference to Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.
"You only worry about this for your child if you think your child has these tendencies," said Goldberg. "If you think your child is not someone who is assaulting people, it shouldn’t be a concern for you."

The disturbing attack from Goldberg did not go unanswered. Hitting up social media on Tuesday, Trump Jr. reminded Goldberg that she's on record defending convicted child rapist Roman Polanski. On "The View," Goldberg famously reasoned that Polanski didn't actually commit "rape-rape" by drugging a 13-year-old girl he had sex with.
"[Whoopi Goldberg,] instead of insinuating that my sons are potential future abusers," wrote Trump Jr., "you might want to explain why you defended actual child rapist Roman Polanski?"

About half of young Americans expect to be financially better off than their parents, according to a new poll, a sign that the dream of upward mobility is alive but somewhat tempered.
The poll, by The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research and MTV, found that half of 15- to 26-year-olds think they eventually will be better off than their parents in terms of household finances. About 29 percent expect to do as well as their parents, and 20 percent expect to be worse off.

The left’s smear tactics have come on full display during the surfeit of attacks on Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.
Whether you support or oppose this SCOTUS nomination, the tactics being used are more extreme even than during the Clarence Thomas hearings.
But as we know, they are nothing new, and Democrats will continue to use them until the American people scream “Enough!” — because they are effective.
The real goal is psychological terrorism—that is, engaging in a scorched-earth effort to destroy the target, and in so doing intimidating anyone willing to enter public service, or even just support a public figure that does not parrot the politically correct line.
The charges do not need to be true, or even credible. 
People do not recoil because of the charges themselves (although, as we see, the left spares no effort to dream up the worst accusations they can think of).
People recoil out of fear.
This tactic relies on the human herding instinct...

"From the NOAA Storm Prediction Center comes this inconvenient data that pretty much kills the “climate is making weather more severe” claim.

Get this – a record-low 759 tornadoes formed in the U.S. so far this year, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Storm Prediction Center (SPC). According to the SPC data, there were two fewer tornadoes than the previous annual record-low of 761.

Tornado activity has been unusually low in recent years which goes back 65 years to the early 1950s.

Dr. Roy Spencer of the University of Alabama-Huntsville wrote on his website:

“This lack of tornadic storms in recent years should also correlate with lesser severe thunderstorm activity in general in the U.S., since the conditions which produce large hail and damaging winds are generally the same as are required for tornadoes…”

The annual tornado trends chart is a result of the following methodology applied to the SPC observed tornado dataset by Harold Brooks, NSSL and Greg Carbin, SPC. As tornado reports come in and are reviewed, the actual, or “smoothed”, tornado numbers will be added to this chart.

Leland Keyser’s relative has accused Christine Blasey Ford of throwing her “witness” and lifelong friend–Keyser–“under the bus.” This family member also sounds skeptical of Ford’s allegations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.
Ford, the woman whose accusations of sexual conduct have crumbled under scrutiny, claimed that Keyser, a lifelong friend since high school, would validate her allegation.
Instead, Keyser said in a statement that she not only does not remember the house party where the 1982 incident allegedly took place, but she also has never even met Kavanaugh.

The non-partisan government watchdog group Judicial Watch reported in June that they had sent an official letter to the congressional ethics office with regard to Waters’ inflammatory commentary, as her remarks quite possibly were in violation of a specific House rule governing the behavior of representatives.
The letter was addressed to Office of Congressional Ethics Chairman Doc Hastings and Co-chair David Skaggs — along with a copy sent to House Committee on Ethics Chairwoman Susan Brooks and minority Ranking Member Ted Deutch — and requested the office investigate whether Waters violated House rules with her incitement to violence and mob action.

The Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights is investigating a school district whose transgender restroom policy allegedly led to the sexual assault of a 5-year-old girl.
In a Sept. 14 letter to Vernadette Broyles, the lawyer representing the unnamed student, the OCR’s Atlanta office said it would investigate Georgia’s Decatur City School District for whether it “failed to provide a prompt and equitable response” to the sexual-assault report, creating a “sexually hostile environment” for the girl.
As part of that inquiry, it will consider whether the transgender policy’s implementation “contributed to the creation” of a hostile environment for all girls.
The office is also investigating whether the school district retaliated against the girl’s mother for reporting the incident...

...According to the complaint, the gender-fluid boy entered the girls’ restroom at Oakhurst Elementary School in November 2017 when the girl was in there alone.
She had been excused from class to use the restroom, and he asked to be excused as well.
...As the girl walked out of a stall, the boy “pushed her against a wall, pushed his hand between her legs, and repeatedly felt and poked at her genitals, [REDACTED], while she struggled and called out for him to stop. 
No one came to help,” the complaint alleges. (Some parts are redacted.)
Administrators had been notified the boy was gender-fluid before the alleged assault, and kept the policy in place even after the incident, according to the complaint.
The girl told her mother, who then complained to school officials.
They refused to reassign the boy out of her daughter’s class, and even suggested removing the girl from the class.
One official said the boy was never questioned about the incident.
The school has also never offered “any counseling or other support services” to the girl.
Superintendent Dude has gone out of his way to avoid the girl’s mother, the complaint claims, and Principal Marcy Fowler falsely told her the school district was required by “federal mandate” to keep the policy in place – 10 months after the Trump administration rescinded the nonbinding guidance.
The most explosive allegation concerns the school district’s response to the mother’s complaint.
“[I]t appears that Oakhurst Elementary School leadership contacted the Georgia DFCS and reported
that a potential sexual assault had taken place in the school restroom, but inexplicably
identified [Mother] as the responsible party...”
A video made by the Alliance Defending Freedom identifies the mother as Pascha Thomas. The alliance identifies the girl by her initials, “N.T.”"

During her testimony last week, why did sex crimes prosecutor Rachel Mitchell ask Ford if she had ever helped someone prepare for a polygraph? It was such an out-of-nowhere question, a seeming waste of time.
Ford answered that she had “never” helped anyone prepare for a polygraph.
Well, now we likely know why. The Senate Judiciary Committee might have known about this former boyfriend, and that under penalty of imprisonment, he would tell them Ford once used her skills in psychology to help a friend prepare for a polygraph.
If this is true, Ford could be guilty of perjury.
