DHS asks troops to remain at border through January - Washington Times:
With the caravans still camped out on the Mexican side of the border, Homeland Security asked the Defense Department on Friday to keep the latest deployment of troops at the border through the end of January.
The previous request had been slated to expire in mid-December, and a key general had suggested several weeks ago that troops would come home by then. But after a weekend of violent attempts by caravan members to punch through the border, and with thousands of members of the migrant caravan still eyeing attempts to reach the U.S., the Trump administration has concluded the troops are still needed.

"The Daily Caller has an exclusive report tonight that is very troubling, and, unfortunately in alignment with a previous suspicion CTH shared when it was first announced that John Huber was scheduled to testify to congress on December 5th.
According to the Daily Caller: FBI agents raided the home of a recognized Department of Justice whistleblower who privately delivered documents pertaining to the Clinton Foundation and Uranium One to a government watchdog, according to the whistleblower’s attorney.
The Justice Department’s inspector general was informed that the documents show that federal officials failed to investigate potential criminal activity regarding former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the Clinton Foundation and Rosatom, the Russian company that purchased Uranium One, a document reviewed by The Daily Caller News Foundation alleges.
The delivered documents also show that then-FBI Director Robert Mueller failed to investigate allegations of criminal misconduct pertaining to Rosatom and to other Russian government entities attached to Uranium One, the document reviewed by TheDCNF alleges. Mueller is now the special counsel investigating whether the Trump campaign colluded with Russia during the 2016 election.
“The bureau raided my client to seize what he legally gave Congress about the Clinton Foundation and Uranium One,” the whistleblower’s lawyer, Michael Socarras, told TheDCNF, noting that he considered the FBI’s raid to be an “outrageous disregard” of whistleblower protections. (continue reading)
Make sure you read the entire article because if the DOJ was intending to throw a bag over the entire Clinton Foundation investigation and cover-it-up, that raid is exactly what they would do. This is presumably the investigation that John Huber was/is controlling..."

Google: Should we bury conservative media? - WND:
Internal documents obtained by the Daily Caller revealed discussions about how, in the words of one engineer, to “make sure that we reverse things in four years.”
The report said the Daily Caller and Breitbart were “specifically singled out” as potential targets of a campaign to suppress the influence of conservative media.
The Daily Caller said the documents “show that internal Google discussions went beyond expressing remorse over [Hillary] Clinton’s loss to actually discussing ways Google could prevent Trump from winning again.”
“This was an election of false equivalencies, and Google, sadly, had a hand in it,” Google engineer Scott Byer wrote in a Nov. 9, 2016, post.
He “falsely labeled” the Daily Caller and other conservative news organizations as “opinion blogs.” And he advocated suppressing their stories in search engine results.

"In this era of #MeToo and rampant sexual assault allegations, many media outlets, politicians, and scholars are misleading people about the prevalence of rape.

They accomplish this by publicizing unscientific studies, mischaracterizing reliable ones, and making statements that have no basis in reality.
Although precise figures on rape don’t exist, credible data gathered from females in the U.S. indicates that:
- about 11.5% of women say they have been the victim of acts that fit the legal definition of forcible rape.
- each year, about 0.2% of women enrolled in college explicitly state that they have been raped, but this figure grows to 1.0% if they are prompted with graphic descriptions of acts that fit the legal definition of rape.
- each year, roughly 2.1% of college women say they have been the victim of acts that fit the legal definition of rape. However, only 1.0% consider these acts to be rape.
- college-age women who are not enrolled in college are about 50% more likely to be raped than women who are enrolled in college.
- about 40% of female rape victims were first raped before the age of 18, and 79% were first raped before the age of 25.
- cases that involve “date-rape drugs” appear to be a very small portion of all rapes, but the data is uncertain.
Contrary to the claims of some reporters and notable organizations, there are no sound estimates for the portion of rape claims that are false.
In fact, a widely cited study alleged to show that only 2% of rape claims are false actually shows many times more than that..."

Government radio caught in another lie-----NPR has now amended their completely botched story about Don Jr's testimony to the Senate in 2017.

NPR has now amended their completely botched story about Don Jr's testimony to the Senate in 2017.
Updated at 4 p.m. ET
Editor's note: An earlier version of this report mischaracterized an answer Donald Trump Jr. gave to Senate investigators in 2017 about the prospective projects his family was negotiating with people in Moscow. The story reported that Trump Jr.'s response — that negotiations on one project concluded by the end of 2014 – contrasted with the version of events as laid out in the guilty plea by Michael Cohen on Thursday. In fact, Trump Jr. and investigators were alluding to a different set of negotiations — not to a deal that Cohen was reportedly pursuing. Trump Jr. did acknowledge in his testimony that Cohen and another man were exploring a possible deal in Moscow in 2015 or 2016.Trump Jr. did not address what Cohen has now admitted — that talks about such a deal continued at least into June 2016, longer than previously known and well into the presidential campaign.
As I reported earlier, their original story got it all wrong. Now they should explain how they got it so wrong.
NEW: Donald Trump Jr. testified to Congress that the Trump Organization's negotiations to develop a Trump Tower Moscow ended at the end of 2014.
But that conflicts with Michael Cohen, who said in a guilty plea the negotiations continued well into 2016. https://n.pr/2zz4PJ7

Migrants in Tijuana regret caravan - WND
Migrants in Tijuana regret caravan - WND:
Local officials say another 2,000 in nearby Mexicali are expected to make their way toward Tijuana this week.
But Fox News said the migrants “are tired, restless and growing frustrated by the reality that it’s proving much more difficult to get across the border than they had anticipated.”
A member of Tijuana’s local government, Delegate Genaro Lopez Moreno, said, according to Fox News, that it’s costing the municipality $30,000 to $40,000 dollars a day to take care of the migrants.
He blames the caravan organizers, who he believes sold the migrants a false hope.

'The Supremacy of Japanese Cars Has Been 40-Plus Years In the Making' - Slashdot
"American business journalist Joe Nocera writes in a Bloomberg article about "how badly things have deteriorated for the U.S. car makers," after the recent news that both General Motors and Ford will soon be exiting the sedan market in the country.
Slashdot reader gollum123 shares the report:
Much of the analysis about Ford and GM's exit from the sedan market stressed that sedan sales have lost ground in recent years "as consumers have gravitated toward pickup trucks and sport-utility vehicles," as the New York Times put it. If you look at the historical sales figures of the top Japanese sedans, you'll see a small decline in recent years, but nothing like the big drop-off in sales that have hammered the American companies. So in addition to the overall decline in sedan sales, there is a second, largely overlooked, dynamic taking place: Americans have only stopped buying American sedans, not Japanese sedans. The American car companies now say they are going to count on profits from trucks and SUVs while moving toward autonomous and all-electric vehicles. They had better hope that transition takes place quickly.
I couldn't help noticing that while the top three selling vehicles in the U.S. are, indeed, American-made trucks, No. 4 on the list is Nissan's top SUV, the Rogue, the sales of which have gone from 18,000 in 2007 to 403,000 last year. No. 5 is a Toyota SUV, the Rav4 (407,000 in 2017). No. 6 is the Honda CR-V (378,000). And the leading American SUV? It's the Chevy Equinox. Last year, Chevrolet sold 290,000 of them -- 100,000 fewer than the Toyota Camry."

Louie Gohmert: GOP 'Going to Lose' Every Election if Wall is Not Funded:
Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) says the Republican Party will lose every national election in the future if President Trump’s central campaign promise, a border wall, is not funded by the end of the year.
In an exclusive interview with SiriusXM Patriot’s Breitbart News Tonight, Gohmert told Senior Editors-at-Large Rebecca Mansour and Joel Pollak that the GOP must approve $25 billion in border wall funding to stop soaring illegal immigration at the U.S.-Mexico border or risk losing every election “from now on.”

The American Petroleum Institute said in 2013 that “we’re producing more oil and natural gas despite current federal policy, not as a result of it,” noting that production on federal lands plummeted during his tenure while increasing on private lands.
Mr. Obama also promoted policies designed to curb fossil-fuel usage and production, including the Clean Power Plan; the federal methane rule; federal restrictions on hydraulic fracturing; the rejection of the Keystone XL pipeline, and the Paris climate accord.
At Rice, the tuxedo-clad former president also gave himself a pat on the back for the stock market.
