What I Learned Over Lunch With the Real Jamal KhashoggiThe American Spectator

What I Learned Over Lunch With the Real Jamal KhashoggiThe American Spectator
"Like all murders, Jamal Khashoggi’s was an evil deed.
Should the United States respond to it with a major disruption in relations with Saudi Arabia?
No — emphatically no.
...I also remember who and what he really was.
Image result for Jamal Khashoggi memeHe was the scion of one of the wealthiest families in Saudi Arabia and a tremendously privileged member of the Saudi power structure.
In Saudi Arabia he was well known as a sometime writer and editor for newspapers and a television news presenter.
In the rest of the world, it was no secret that he was from time to time one of the closest advisers to the head of the Saudi state intelligence and secret police apparatus.
...When his patron Alwaleed was incarcerated, Jamal Khashoggi left the country.
He made his way to Washington, D.C., where he had cultivated relationships with mainstream media mandarins.
He arranged to write columns for the Washington Post, criticizing the same harsh and anti-democratic conditions in his home country that he had spent his whole previous career artfully covering up. Khashoggi completely changed his tune, but the only thing that had changed in Saudi Arabia was that Khashoggi’s faction in the Saudi power structure was no longer on top..."

Election Fraud Doesn't Exist Until Liberals Want It to Exist

Election Fraud Doesn't Exist Until Liberals Want It to Exist
"Something amazing is happening: Liberals have suddenly begun to believe in voter fraud.
See the source imageAlmost overnight, years of constant denial and disbelief have melted away amid allegations that a congressional election in North Carolina may have been tainted by absentee ballot fraud.
In North Carolina’s 9th Congressional District, Republican Mark Harris beat his Democratic opponent, Dan McCready, by 905 votes out of almost 300,000 cast.
McCready conceded defeat, but irregularities in absentee balloting in Bladen and Robeson counties prompted the North Carolina State Board of Elections to refuse to certify the results and instead move to hold an evidentiary hearing to examine evidence of fraud.
...If true, this would hardly be the first time that fraudsters have targeted absentee ballots.
In fact, absentee voting is particularly vulnerable to fraud.
...according to one recent Pew Research Center poll, 76 percent of Americans think that voter identification requirements should be mandatory—a remarkably high figure in our hyper-polarized age.
But the left has spent years fighting against virtually every reasonable, commonsense election integrity measure—not only voter ID laws (for both in-person and absentee voting), but even efforts to clean up state voter rolls that are riddled with errors..."

Judicial Watch Sues for Records of FBI Meetings with Clinton-DNC Law Firm, Perkins Coie in 2016 - Judicial Watch:

Image result for flickr commons images hillary clintonJudicial Watch announced today that it filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the Department of Justice seeking records of all meetings in 2016 between former FBI General Counsel James Baker and the Perkins Coie law firm. The Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee (DNC) reportedly paid Fusion GPS to create the “salacious and unverified” Clinton-DNC anti-Trump dossier.
The lawsuit cites a specific media report that FBI top lawyer Baker met with Perkins Coie lawyers to discuss allegations of collusion between Donald Trump and Russia. The meeting reportedly took place weeks before the 2016 election and before the FBI secured a controversial FISA spy warrant targeting then-candidate Trump’s campaign.

Why WOULDN’T That Pious Muslim Ali Kill Mr. Dowling? – Da Tech Guy Blog
"Another day, another westerner killed in the west for insulting Islam:
See the source image
An Irish university lecturer stabbed to death by one of his former students had allegedly ‘insulted the Prophet Mohammed’, his killer has told French police.
The 66-year-old academic, named locally as John Dowling, was attacked and stabbed 13 times outside the Paris university where he worked on Wednesday.
Ali R., a 37-year-old Pakistani national, has confessed to the killing and told police he held a personal grudge against the teacher after failing his exams last year.
The police have this to say about the killer:
French authorities have said there is no existing evidence that Ali, a native of Pakistan, was radicalized by a terrorist organization but rather that he was simply very “pious” and an “obsessive patriot.”
“We don’t have proof of radicalization, but rather a feeling that we’re dealing with someone who is very religious, very pious, very practicing.”
So apparently it’s not radical, but “Patriotic” and “Pious” if you are a muslin in France and kill a westerner for ostensibly insulting Islam.
Of course the question isn’t why Ali killed the professor, we know this, but the question I would ask is why wouldn’t he?
The western media has made it clear that while it’s perfectly acceptable to insult Christianity and Christians that there is nothing more beyond the pale than an insult to Islam.
Furthermore we’ve seen supposed “free speech” groups quake at the thought of defending those who might exercise free speech or academic rights contrary to the desires of those of the Muslim faith.
Furthermore there are section of France where the police have been neglecting to enforce French law and have allowed the Islamic community to enforce their own, and that law states that those who defame Islam must die..."

The Green Climate Deal | Watts Up With That?

The Green Climate Deal | Watts Up With That?
"I see that Ms. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Mr. Bernie Sanders are pushing something called a “Green New Deal”, so I thought I’d take a look.
The Hill has a piece entitled Progressives say dire climate reports point to need for ‘Green New Deal’,  and the Atlantic magazine has an article on it headlined The Democratic Party Wants to Make Climate Policy Exciting
Make climate policy exciting?
Here are the details of the wonderful green climate deal, right from the horse’s mouth … oh, wait, vegans say we can’t use animal metaphors.
So here are the details of the deal, right from the orange’s navel … it has “Four Pillars”, and the first Pillar is their “Economic Bill of Rights”.
...Ready?
Hold your noses, put on your hip boots, we’re ready to wade in …
THE FOUR PILLARS OF THE GREEN NEW DEAL
I – THE ECONOMIC BILL OF RIGHTS
The Green New Deal begins with an Economic Bill of Rights that ensures all citizens:
1. The right to employment through a Full Employment Program that will create 25 million jobs by implementing a nationally funded, but locally controlled direct employment initiative replacing unemployment offices with local employment offices offering public sector jobs which are “stored” in job banks in order to take up any slack in private sector employment.
• Local communities will use a process of broad stakeholder input and democratic decisionmaking to fairly implement these programs.
• Pay-to-play prohibitions will ensure that campaign contributions or lobbying favors do not impact decision-making.
• We will end unemployment in America once and for all by guaranteeing a job at a living wage for every American willing and able to work.
End unemployment in America?
Create 25 million taxpayer-funded positions?
...median household income is $62,000, so on average, each household will have to pony up $12,000 to employ those 25 million people..."

Ex-Reagan official exposes revisionist history books - WND:

Image result for flickr commons images Ronald ReaganIn an interview with WND, Oliver recalled being in a White House meeting with Reagan in which the 39th president demonstrated his intellect and attention to detail.
But the false characterization of Reagan persists in popular culture, and now Oliver’s efforts are focused on preventing yet another generation from being educated in what he sees as revisionist history.
Oliver is president of the Education and Research Institute, ERI, which has launched “The American History Book Project,” a critique of the national best-selling, high-school history textbook, “The American Pageant.”
ERI’s project, which focuses on the latter part of the book, covering the 20th Century, has discovered hundreds of examples of “blatant liberal bias.”

An angle makes a world of difference. The dangers of a one sided story.

From a friend.
"Friends, as we watch what is happening on our Border with the "caravan", see how easily we are manipulated through images shown by "credible" sources.
Remember the pictures of Mexican children in cages, said to have happened on Trump's watch?
We later learned the images were taken while Obama was president.
I have seen countless pictures of Palestinian women and children being shot by Israeli soldiers, only to learn these were staged stunts - no one was actually shot, but there was a lot of fake blood - designed to generate anger toward Israel.
Do your homework before passing judgement!
Here are some examples of the ways the Media manipulates “news” events...

There's no denying that the media often isn't wholly objective and truthful in its coverage of news events.
The photos you're going to see below show just how easy it is to manipulate people's perceptions of an event that's being covered for the sake of whatever agenda that the powers-that-be at a given news network might have.
Take a look:

Public university removes white instructor for telling students to 'be respectful in class' - The College Fix
"...A white biology instructor who repeatedly warned her students to behave themselves has been yanked out of the classroom for the semester and required to undergo classroom management training.
The University of Texas-San Antonio cleared Anita Moss of showing racial bias toward a black student, who has a history of being disruptive, by calling campus police on her.
But a second investigation faulted the senior lecturer for telling students throughout the fall semester to “be respectful in class” by keeping their feet off chairs, putting away their phones and not talking.
...Students called her ‘one of the best instructors they had’
...Moss chose to “throw a temper tantrum” and cancel class, but even worse was her decision to “single out and humiliate a student just to flex her authority in a destructive manner,” Rawal wrote.
In a longer statement, he said Moss had started class by handing out “a printed list of UTSA Student Conduct and Community Standards” on civil behavior.
...Despite identifying this long history of disruptive behavior by Burgess, as well as Moss’s positive reviews as a faculty member, the administration decided to remove her from class for the semester. Another instructor was chosen to take over her duties and “an unarmed safety officer” was placed in the classroom..."

ROCKY MOUNTAIN HIGH: The Little Town That Pot Built…

"ROCKY MOUNTAIN HIGH: The Little Town That Pot Built.
Garden City isn’t much of a city; it’s smaller than a square mile and has fewer than 300 residents. But it could afford to spend $3 million on downtown infrastructure upgrades thanks to its four bustling marijuana retailers.

Before the first medical marijuana dispensary in town opened in 2009, Garden City collected about $360,000 in revenue each year, said longtime Town Administrator Cheryl Campbell. Now pot is legal for recreational use, too, and last year, the town raked in over $2 million from sales taxes alone — mostly from the sale of bud, pre-rolled joints, edibles and other pot products...
 But:
Thanks to the influx of sales tax revenue, Garden City has been able to spend more on public works...
The money also has allowed the city to add new services. Garden City used to be patrolled by the county sheriff’s office, but now it can afford its own four-person police force..."

"The history of the little guy being squashed by massive Chicago political clout at election time is just too long to print without weeping.

“No one can remember anything approaching this,” said an election official.
Really?
It’s overkill of epic proportions, like using a sledgehammer to kill a gnat, or firing off a nuclear weapon to kill a sparrow.

"The days of December are quickly passing, moving us ever deeper into that beloved time of year when liberal nitwits find hilarious new reasons to be offended by anything and everything related to Christmas.
As a case in point, a hue and cry has been raised against the playfully romantic tune "Baby, It's Cold Outside," owing to interpretations that the song is actually about men drugging women and raping them, then casting them aside (perhaps in the snow) while heading for a warm seat on the Supreme Court.

Trump's Right About California's Fires: It Wasn't Climate Change; Two New California Laws Prove It

Trump's Right About California's Fires: It Wasn't Climate Change; Two New California Laws Prove It
"California’s politicians, bureaucrats, electric utilities and even celebrities have taken to using “climate change” as a multipurpose excuse for having done nothing to prevent deadly wildfires.
Image result for California's Fires: It Wasn't Climate Change...The facts are clear: California’s deadliest year of wildfires has been decades in the making, with overlapping environmental rules, both state and federal, making fuel load reductions in forests and coastal chaparral nearly impossible, while hostility towards commercial timber harvesting has allowed a massive build up in tree density and brush with a concurrent reduction of access roads and firebreaks.
Yet in spite of blaming climate change and attacking President Trump for suggesting bad environmental policies made California’s fires worse, California’s outgoing governor, Jerry Brown, quietly signed two bills to correct the worst of the state’s fire management policy missteps, proving Trump was right all along.
...Once again, President Trump weighed in with a tweet, observing that “There is no reason for these massive, deadly and costly forest fires in California except that forest management is so poor.”
