Steele dossier was Hillary Clinton's insurance policy - Washington Times
Steele dossier was Hillary Clinton's insurance policy - Washington Times:
Their hatred toward then-candidate Donald Trump as well as their contempt for his supporters gave reasonable observers every reason to question whether the Hillary Clinton email investigation and the counterintelligence investigation into alleged Russian influence in the Trump campaign (Mr. Strzok and Ms. Page played key roles in both inquiries) were handled in a fair, unbiased and judicious manner.
Their behavior was so egregious that special counsel Robert Mueller removed them from his team the moment Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz told him about the text messages. Mr. Strzok was dismissed from the FBI, and further investigations are continuing.

Bokhari: The Terrifying Rise of Financial Blacklisting | Breitbart
"It is the most totalitarian form of blacklisting: not just to be prevented from speaking on a university campus, or to be kicked off social media, but to be shut out of the entire financial system.
That is the terrifying new threat to freedom that western societies must now contend with.
Financial blacklisting doesn’t just rob you of a chance to spread your message: it robs you of your ability to do business, your livelihood, your very means of functioning in a capitalist society.
Thanks to the encroachment of progressive ideology into the financial industry — including major credit card companies like Visa, Discover, and Mastercard — it has now become a reality..."

Where The Texas Winds Blow | Watts Up With That?

"There’s a typically hyper, deceptive, and Pollyanna article in the Houston Chronicle with the headline “Texas has enough sun and wind to quit coal,
Rice researchers say“. You gotta watch out for these folks, it’s the old bait and switch.
Because sure enough, as they say, there’s more sun and wind in Texas than would be required to quit coal.
But then, there’s enough sun alone to quit everything.
Texas uses about 450 terawatt-hours (million megawatt-hours) of electricity per year.
And there are about a million terawatt-hours of sunshine falling on Texas every year.
In short, every year the sun pours down on Texas about two thousand times the amount of energy that Texas uses in the form of electricity.

In short, every year the sun pours down on Texas about two thousand times the amount of energy that Texas uses in the form of electricity.
So there’s more than enough sun and wind, just as they say … but is it economical to harvest it?
That’s the real question.
That’s the real question.
Let’s start by looking at the evolution of the fuel mix in Texas over time. Figure 1 shows the situation from 1990 to 2016.
Figure 1. Evolution of Texas electricity sources by fuel, 1990 – 2016. Other biomass includes agricultural byproducts, landfill gas, biogenic municipal solid waste, other biomass (solid, liquid and gas) and sludge waste. Other gases include blast furnace gas, and other manufactured and waste gases derived from fossil fuels. Other includes non-biogenic municipal solid waste, batteries, chemicals, hydrogen, pitch, purchased steam, sulfur, tire-derived fuels, waste heat, and miscellaneous technologies. Note: Totals may not equal sum of components because of independent rounding. Source: U.S. Energy Information Administration, Form EIA-923, “Power Plant Operations Report” and predecessor forms.
Recall that we set out to see if Texas wind energy is economical..."

When Do Legal Immigrants Get to 'Speak Out'?
When Do Legal Immigrants Get to 'Speak Out'?:
How do I feel when the media play this up and cry "racism"?
I feel many things. Primarily, I feel angry. To call us all "immigrants" with no distinctions demeans everyone. It disregards the incredible sacrifices people make to follow the rules in good faith. People who come legally do so because they know the harm caused by secrets, lazy shortcuts, sloppy decisions. People who come legally know that it is a ponderous decision to leave one land and join another. Leftists will say my family is "rich," but that's silly. Poverty at different times was part our stories.
Liberals who talk about illegal immigration have never, in my experience, wanted to listen to people who followed the rules to come here.

'“The war is on,” General Mike Flynn wrote three years ago. And he went on to describe it in our best-selling book The Field of Fight.
We face a working coalition that extends from North Korea and China to Russia, Iran, Syria, Cuba, Bolivia, Venezuela and Nicaragua. We are under attack, not only from nation-states directly, but also from al Qaeda, Hezbollah, ISIS, and countless other terror groups.
It’s a world war, and the enemy alliance is composed of both radical Islamist groups and nations—above all, Iran and its proxies--and radical secular tyrannies, like Putin’s.
While we have defeated them every time we fought them on an actual battlefield, today we are nowhere near winning the real world war.
Our enemies are advancing in the Middle East and North Africa, and flooding our hemisphere with terrorists, even in our own homeland.
We have to win this global conflict, and there are several ways to do it..."

Tax cuts are not 'giveaways', they are 'take-less-aways' - American Experiment
"I’m pretty sure that, at some point, you will have heard tax cuts for individuals or businesses, such as those contained in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act passed in December 2017, as ‘giveaways’ or ‘handouts’ to ‘the rich’ or corporations.
As California’s Rep. Barbara Lee put it last week,
“President Trump pushed through a tax scam that gave unprecedented handouts to billionaires and corporations”
To see what nonsense this is, think about what happens when taxes are cut.
In 2017, a business, for example, would earn $100 million in revenues.
In this simplified example, it would then would pay $38.9 million of that in tax.
In 2018, the same business would earn $100 million in revenues.
Thanks to the tax cut, it would now pay $25.7 million of that in tax.
Where is the handout?
The giveaway?
The government hasn’t handed or given this business a cent.
Instead it has taken less of the businesses money from it.
A tax cut isn’t a ‘giveaway’, it is a ‘take-less-away’..."

How Democrats Teach Immigrants to Be Criminals | Roger L. Simon
"In turning a blind eye or taking a blasé attitude to illegal immigration, Democrats are actually encouraging or even teaching these immigrants to be criminals, that crime pays.
Don't believe me.
Believe Democratic Senator Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut.
After all, it was Blumenthal who was scholarly enough to remind us at the Kavanaugh hearings of the importance of that apothegm of Roman law "falsus in uno falsus in omnibus" (false in one thing, false in everything).
It's no great stretch to say that by allowing people to enter our country "undocumented" (i. e. break the law), Democrats are simply telling them the laws of our country don't really count.
They are to be winked at or broken.
Similarly, when supposedly well-intended employees of non-governmental organizations explain to those immigrants how to game the asylum system by distorting their backgrounds, they are doing essentially the same thing -- demonstrating to these people that disobeying the law is useful, even laudatory.
Do these immigrants internalize that message? ..."

Here's What Happened When an Alaskan City Took Fluoride Out of Their Drinking Water:
"Despite what dentists keep telling us about the protective effects of fluoride on people's teeth, virulent myths insisting otherwise somehow manage to persist.
These kinds of mistaken beliefs might be false, but their consequences are very real.
Like when, in 2007, the people of Juneau, the capital of Alaska, voted to stop putting fluoride in their drinking water, over concerns about what harms it might be doing to them.
...But while research into the benefits of water fluoridation has existed for decades – and suggests fluoride reduces cavities (aka caries) and associated dental disease – less is known about the effects of fluoride cessation.
In other words, what happens when a population suddenly stops taking fluoride in their drinking water, like Juneau's citizenry did?..."

Dan Crenshaw Calls Out Democrats On Their Faulty Wall Argument: ‘It’s About Semantics’ | The Daily Caller:
Republican Texas Rep.-elect Dan Crenshaw refuted Democrats’ claims on Wednesday that building a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border is too expensive, but rather asserted that the caucus simply has an aversion to the idea of a wall.
“A wall is effective. It’s a crucial part of border security. I spent a whole career infiltrating places and when we come up upon a wall — it matters,” Crenshaw said on “Fox & Friends.” “We have to plan around it. It’s a mitigating factor if you’re trying to enter or cross from point A to point B.
