Questions Media Should Ask Democratic Presidential Hopefuls (But Won't)
Questions Media Should Ask Democratic Presidential Hopefuls (But Won't)
"Until now, the media’s questioning of Democratic Party presidential hopefuls has often been expectedly obsequious and misleading.
Questions typically come in two forms:
1) “Just how evil is Donald Trump?” or
2) A policy question larded with euphemisms and framed in a way that makes it little more than an in-kind contribution to the campaign.
These are just some of the questions they should be asking instead.(read all!)

- Specifically, what limits, if any, do you believe should be placed on abortion?
- A number of presidential hopefuls, including Cory Booker, Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren, Kirsten Gillibrand, Julián Castro, and Beto O’Rourke, have expressed support for the “Green New Deal.” Do you also support it?

Glenn K. Beaton: Let’s reinvent taxpayer-subsidized housing | AspenTimes.com
"Aspen real estate is expensive.
It got so bad some years ago that many workers had to commute about 25 minutes over a scenic highway from a cool little mountain town downvalley where housing is cheaper.
Comfortable buses with free wifi are available at heated bus stops every 15 minutes, but commuters always seem to like their cars better.
Many of those commuters were employees of local, big business such as Aspen Skiing Co. which found that their employees wouldn't work as cheaply as they'd like them to if they had to suffer that 25-minute commute.
...This being the People's Republic of Aspen, and the persons complaining being the persons who run the show, the first, second and third solutions were all … make the taxpayers pay. And so they did.
Now a person making as much as $181,000 a year can get taxpayer-subsidized housing for dimes on the dollar.
...The residents are chosen in lotteries, legitimacy of which some people question at times.

US Bishops Promote Bill To Ban States From Discriminating Against Religious Adoption And Foster Care Agencies | The Daily Caller:
Leading members of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops promoted a bill Friday that would prevent states from penalizing child welfare agencies for faith-based policies.
Chairmen of three USCCB committees sent a letter to the lead sponsors of the Child Welfare Provider Inclusion Act of 2019 in the Senate and the House of Representatives, commending the bill for its potential to protect religious freedoms and parental choice.
The bishops noted Catholic foster care and adoption agencies face the prospect of being forced out of business in states that offer no such protection.

CNN Anchors Lemon & Cuomo Demand Americans Stop Wearing MAGA Hats - DC Dirty Laundry
"What Lemon and Cuomo are trying to do to the MAGA hat is the same thing the enemedia at large has done to the counter-jihad resistance for years.
They associate it with something that is evil, something that it has nothing to do with, and then demand that others shun it on the basis of that association.
The idea that wanting America to prosper and be strong — be great again — is some kind of code for racism or hatred is ridiculous on its face, unless you’re a leftist ideologue bent on destroying President Trump and everyone who supports him. And that’s what Lemon and Cuomo are.
...Compare Lemon’s contention that the MAGA hat “just can’t be about what you want it to be about” and Cuomo’s fear that he not “fall into the trap of underselling the significance of the trigger of the expression to people.”
Here we enter a dangerous political territory.
After all, I would suggest it is fundamentally counter to the American political tradition to chill one’s wearing of popular clothing simply because you fear that others not wearing it might not share your view as to what the wearing means…."More

Democrats’ policies are not moral, ethical or humane
Democrats’ policies are not moral, ethical or humane:
A party that supports killing fully developed babies up to nine months, that has policies that are meant to keep more people dependent on government while they are living instead of giving them more opportunities to move up the economic ladder, that supports politicians that refuse to enforce immigration laws Congress passed and that implemented policies to reward hospitals for giving less care to sick patients on Medicare is not moral, ethical, humane and is certainly not empathetic.

Ohio man thankful to be alive after bystanders resuscitate him on Vail Mountain | SummitDaily.com
"An Ohio man is alive and well after suffocating upside down in deep snow on Saturday in Vail Mountain’s Marmot Valley before some other skiers and snowboarders, including a CPR-certified doctor, came to his rescue.
“I was dead. No doubt about it,” said Michael Laush
...Tom saw a woman in black and white “just screaming for help.
I didn’t know what she needed help for.”
...“When I got there, there were two ski boots sticking out of the snow,” Tom said.
...“It probably took six or seven minutes to get him out,” Karen said.
Laush said he stands 6 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 270 pounds.
“Digging that deep we realized we couldn’t get down to his face, so we started giving him a pull,” Tom said.
“I put one boot under my armpit and one of the other guys did the same thing and then we had a third guy pulling on his belt and got him out.”...

Don't Buy The Carbon Dioxide Tax Myth - It Just Means More Government Control:
"The carbon dioxide tax is like the Hydra of myth.
Every time some hero cut one of the Hydra’s heads off, two more sprang up in its place.
The same is true for the carbon dioxide tax.
Every time a version of the carbon dioxide tax is proposed, economists and other analysts deftly cut its head off, showing its promises of climate salvation and economic prosperity to be false, myths like the Hydra itself, yet two more versions of the tax arise.
Progressives and socialists embrace the carbon dioxide tax myth to promote more government control, their control, over the economy and peoples’ lives.
...These and other costs will eat up billions of dollars each year.
...Anyone who tells you paying a new tax will be good for you, especially a tax on fossil fuels that serve to power the economic prosperity we currently enjoy, is lying..."

The Corrupt DoJ vs. the People
The Corrupt DoJ vs. the People:
Let’s do a little pretending. You are living in East Germany in 1960. The Stasi, the repressive secret police, have arrested you. As you are languishing in prison, the state prosecutor asks you to cough up information that will be damaging to a certain individual that the state wishes to condemn. The prosecutor’s demand is backed up with a threat. If you don’t compose the incriminating information he seeks, you will spend the next 40 years behind bars and the state will go after your spouse, your children, and your best friend Fido. Everyone you love will be destroyed.
Ah, but you say, “This is America in 2019. That could never happen here. Aren’t we lucky to be living in the land of the free and home of the brave?” Well, guess what? This used to be the land of the free.

"While volunteering in a program for inner city children this past weekend, I was charged to work with a little girl who seemed to be around 9 or 10 years-old.

We quietly worked side by side for a few minutes, each making a copy of the day’s writing assignment, until the little girl looked at my cursive writing, sighed in ecstasy and wonderingly asked, “How do you DO that?!”
I soon realized that her amazement stemmed not from the fact that she struggled to learn cursive handwriting, but that she had never been taught it at all.
Her interest in learning it was great, however, as evidenced by subsequent attempts to write her own name in a pseudo-cursive style.
Unfortunately, the cursive-less experience of my little charge is not an anomaly, as evidenced by a recent hearing in the New York legislature. The New York Post reports:

My wife "hates politics", "hates the bickering", and wonders why I won't allow the News to be on during cocktails and why I spend time with my friends here.
Then last week she read about the NY Abortion Bill and mentioned it to me. I made sure she knew about the fundamental four or five HUGE changes in that bill, and then I explained to her what nobody has connected. Says me...well if anybody permitted by the State can perform a no questions asked abortion up to 24 weeks, and that same "nail salon tech with a state abortion certificate" can perform an abortion on a nine month baby if in THAT person's opinion the mother will be better off...and then since the abortionist no longer has a duty to provide medical attention to a live baby who survives the abortion and it can be left to die...and if we learned one thing from the news about Planned PArenthood about how much money can be made by selling tissues and cells from aborted fetuses...can you imaging the industry that NY can now have selling working fully functioning organs from full term babies which can be carved up and sold for parts.
She burst into tears. Literally.

My privilege flows from the two the greatest political documents ever written: the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States. My privilege was to be born in a country that acknowledges the origins of my freedom and liberty and my right to pursue happiness. And that’s God,” he said.

Model Admits She Made Up Russian Collusion Story About Trump To Get Out Of Jail | The Daily Caller:
A Belarusian model who originally said she had secret recordings that tied President Donald Trump to Russian tycoon Oleg Deripaska and showed collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign now says she lied.
Anastasia Vashukevich, who goes by the alias Nastya Rybka on the internet, told CNN in a report published Tuesday that she made up the whole story as a means of getting out of a Thai prison last year.
Vashukevich was doing hard time in Thailand for offering her sex coach talents to the locals. Arrested and convicted for solicitation, she was sent to prison. Allegedly fearing for life behind bars, she decided to attract some international media attention with her story of having information that would link Trump to the Russian oligarchy.
