Black Civil Rights Activist Says Jussie Smollet Could Have Started “Race War”

Black Civil Rights Activist Says Jussie Smollet Could Have Started “Race War”:
  • Calls for actor to be arrested for allegedly staging hate crime
"Black civil rights activist Najee Ali is calling for the arrest and prosecution of actor Jussie Smollett for allegedly lying about being the victim of a hate crime, saying Smollett could have unintentionally triggered a “race war”.
During a press conference yesterday, Ali, who is the director of Project Islamic HOPE, said Smollett’s actions were an insult to real victims of hate crime.
“It’s a slap in the face.
We have many members of the black community and the LGBTQ community who have been the victims of racism and hate crimes, so for Smollett to say that he was a victim…and we believe is a lie…certainly is an injustice to those true victims…,” Ali said.
“Jussie Smollett must be brought to justice for lying.”
Ali also expressed concern that Smollett “could have created a race war” because more “extreme” members of the black community were so angry that they wanted to “retaliate” violently."

Watch The Fine Print On ‘Green Jobs’ Claims – Michigan Capitol Confidential
"One of the more underreported aspects of the Green New Deal advocated by U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-New York, is its inflated claim about jobs.
According to the official language, it is “a historic opportunity to create millions of good, high-wage jobs in the United States.”
Green or “clean energy” jobs are generally framed in positive terms by the mainstream media.
For example, Yahoo News recently featured a story stating that “solar panel installer” was the fastest-growing job in eight states, including California.
But as of 2017, there were just 9,000 solar panel installers in the entire country, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
There are so few of those jobs in Michigan that the BLS doesn’t even track the activity as its own category.
See the source imageThere are also fewer than 10,000 people in the U.S. who work in private sector wind farms and solar farms — at a time when total nationwide employment is 150.6 million.
Yet, especially in Michigan, green companies have been promoted as job creators, with expectations often inflated above the actual number of jobs they provide.
For example, as early as 2009, then-Gov. Jennifer Granholm highlighted the advanced battery manufacturer A123 Systems as a key to transforming Michigan’s economy..."

On Thursday, failed senatorial candidate Beto O'Rourke declared emphatically that he not only opposes Trump's call to build a wall, he wants all existing border fences torn down, including outside his home town of El Paso. But in his explanation for why he's so adamantly opposed to the wall, the presidential hopeful ended up making several points that align with the conservative case for building the wall.

Will history survive? | Spectator USA

Will history survive? | Spectator USA:
"The news that the University of Notre Dame, responding to complaints by some students, would ‘shroud’ its 12 134-year-old murals depicting Christopher Columbus was disappointing.
It was not surprising, however, to anyone who has been paying attention to the widespread attack on America’s past wherever social justice warriors congregate.
Notre Dame may not be particularly friendly to its Catholic heritage, but its president, the Rev. John Jenkins, demonstrated that it remains true to its jesuitical (if not, quite, its Jesuit) inheritance.
Queried about the censorship, he said, apparently without irony, that his decision to cover the murals was not intended to conceal anything, but rather to tell ‘the full story’ of Columbus’s activities.
Welcome to the new Orwellian world where censorship is free speech and we respect the past by attempting to elide it..."

WashPost’s Capehart: Smollett Story Fit ‘Narrative’ of Trump ‘Menace’

WashPost’s Capehart: Smollett Story Fit ‘Narrative’ of Trump ‘Menace’
"Appearing on MSNBC Live With Hallie Jackson Monday morning, Washington Post opinion writer Jonathan Capehart lamented that actor Jussie Smollett’s claim of being assaulted by Trump supporters was falling apart.
The liberal journalist then attempted to blame the “atmosphere of menace” supposedly created by the President to explain why so many in the media, including himself, believed the story.
“Well, I don’t know what to make of all this.
Because when the news came out, a lot of people, myself included, were horrified,” Capehart began.
He then justified the rush to judgement by arguing that Smollett’s account “fit in with a narrative” about the Trump era:
"Just the circumstances and the way he told the story, and what he said happened to him sort of fit in with a narrative – not a narrative, but a reality for a lot of people in this country since President Trump was inaugurated. That there is an atmosphere of menace and an atmosphere of hate around the country that made it possible for people to either readily believe or want to believe Jussie Smollett."

Hitler Learns Bruno Ganz Has Died | Power Line
"Bruno Ganz, the talented Swiss actor who portrayed Hitler in “Downfall” and countless video parodies, has died at the age of 77.
I had retired from doing “Hitler Learns About. . .” parodies, but by popular demand, here’s one final one from Power Line Productions—the parody to end them all I hope:"

Last week in Viareggio, Italy, the citizens paraded with a huge float depicting President Trump as Hercules. Looking at his many accomplishments against countless enemies and political opponents, the depiction was not inapt. Like Hercules, he defeated the Queen of the Amazons, and this week, he's going on to clean out the Augean Stables. In this respect, he's aided by the utter stupidity of his opponents.

Now we know: it was (and remains) an attempted coup:

His admission during his interview that he and other top FBI and Justice Department officials seriously considered taking steps including invoking the 25th Amendment to remove President Trump from office in the spring of 2017 is a blockbuster.  Thanks to his candor, we can finally use without reservation the “C” word – for an attempted coup d’tat –in describing what McCabe and other Deep State players were cooking up in secret two years ago.

How Fake News Is Producing Fake Reality

How Fake News Is Producing Fake Reality
"...Today, we live in an age of the proliferation of news.
All kinds of news.
Celebrity news, world news, real news, fake news.
Legacy media might not have a stranglehold over the news industry, but it has left a legacy of its own.
That legacy is one of propaganda, which is exactly what journalism in all its forms has become.
See the source imagePick a topic, any topic.
Now look at the headlines and the attendant articles journalists have produced about an event.
What do you find?
Not a “tossed salad” of various perspectives but a “melting pot” with very little diversity.
Diversity is our strength?
Nope.
Not in the media.
Not anymore.
Repeat After Me
To choose a particularly egregious instance of alarmist journalism—#MeToo and the sexual misconduct allegations against now-Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
To the thoughtful individual, the ambiguity of the case offered a near-limitless amount of interesting positions for which one could have advocated:

  • Kavanaugh might have committed the alleged acts, but did not recall them;
  • the accuser, Christine Blasey Ford, remembered the experience she related, but the memory itself was a confabulation;
  • the supposed victim misook an action of Kavanaugh’s friend for that of Kavanaugh (Ed Whelan was the one brave soul to promote a unique theory along these lines, though he irresponsibly outed a classmate by name);
  • the accuser actually projected her own marital problems on a fictional occurrence with a relatively little-known acquaintance (i.e. Kavanaugh),
  • etc. etc. etc.….

Now compare this multiplicity of positions to those taken up by the creatures of the media, the journalists and pundits..."

Kentucky already lets gun owners carry firearms openly without a permit.
The sponsor of the concealed-carry bill noted that only law-abiding citizens are currently required to pay a fee and take a firearms-safety course in order to carry concealed weapons.
"Criminals, on the other hand, already carry concealed weapons without permits," Sen. Brandon Smith, a Republican from Hazard, told the Courier Journal of Louisville.

Report: Food stamp fraud could be costing taxpayers $4.7 billion... PER YEAR - COSAction
"Those who claim the federal government can't balance its budget should take a look at stories like these.
Image result for Food stamp fraudAccording to a new report, the federal food stamp program may be defrauding taxpayers as much as $4.7 billion every year.
Watchdog.org reports:
According to a new report produced by the Government and Accountability Office (GAO), at least $1 billion in food stamp benefits are “trafficked annually,” meaning they are fraudulently used.
The extent of the fraud is uncertain, the GAO warns, estimating the abuse of the program could be as high as $4.7 billion.
About 20 million lower-income households receive benefits from the $64 billion Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), also known as food stamps, to buy food.
But GAO found that instead of being used for food, many stores are defrauding the program by "selling" cash instead of food..."

Lindsey Graham Pledges Investigation Of McCabe, Rosenstein Over ‘Bureaucratic Coup’ | The Daily Caller:

Image result for flickr commons images Lindsey GrahamSenate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham pledged Sunday to hold a hearing to determine whether top Justice Department and FBI official discussed a “bureaucratic coup” to remove President Donald Trump from office.
Graham said in an appearance on CBS’s “Face the Nation” that he is willing to subpoena Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe to answer questions about an alleged discussion to use the 25th Amendment to remove Trump from office.
McCabe claims that Rosenstein brought up the idea of using the Constitution to remove Trump during a meeting of FBI and Justice Department officials on May 16, 2017, around a week after Trump fired James Comey as FBI director.

"Revealed: Making toast exposes people to more toxic air pollution than standing at a busy traffic junction

  • Toasters release toxic particles into the air from the moment they are turned on
  • University of Texas researchers found safest way to heat bread is to 'go for gold'
  • Scented candles, wood-burning stoves and gas cookers also release pollution
  • Burnt toast could expose households to more toxic air pollution than if they were standing near a busy road, a study has revealed.

Scientists said toasters, alongside scented candles, wood-burning stoves, and gas cookers, could create pollution as people cook and clean inside their homes.
A study by the University of Texas at Austin found that toasters release toxic particles into the air from the moment they are turned on, the Sunday Times reported.
The safest way to make the breakfast food is to 'go for gold' and only allow the bread to become a light brown colour, experts said...."
