The Illustrated Primer | My thoughts regarding technology, life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness
"So who Pwned the DNC’s and HRC’s email servers?
The Russians?
Romanians?
Or was it just your run of the mill IT/DBA/Developer/SysAdmin/Staffer with an axe to grind? To find out more, check out the post by William Binney and Larry Johnson.
Here is a little illustration that helps focus some of their points and expand on others:
The HRC-DNC Hack
If you are still confused about the how and the who, you are not alone.
The reason for this heavy fog is that it’s impossible to separate the spin from facts without access to the forensic data–which for some reason, doesn’t’ seem to make itself available.
...What about the identity of the perp?
According to the  WaPo (using CrowdStrike, DOJ, and their usual hush-hush sources), the attack was executed by a Russian unit lead by Lieutenant Captai Nikolay Kozachek who allegedly crafted a malware called X-Agent and used it to get into the network and install keystroke loggers on several PCs.
This allowed them to see what the employees were typing and take images of the employees’ computer screens.
But if that was the case, then how did the DOJ learned all of this without the FBI ever evaluating the DNC/HRC computers?
And the enigma doesn’t stop there..."

MOTUS A.D.: Socialism Is The Cool New Liberalism

MOTUS A.D.: Socialism Is The Cool New Liberalism
It’s the natural progression of things: Millennials believe calling yourself a socialist is sexy.
Image result for socialism is sexy red shirt
Remember the way-cool Sixties when guys used to attend protests and rallies to get laid, because young women could not resist such caring, passionate, liberal guys? Now there’s an app for that. But as in the way of all flesh the guys have had to up the ante on their care, passion and liberalism - all the way to socialism:
Things have gotten so social with socialism that the young and restless now can consult a dating app called Red Yenta to find the fellow socialist of their dreams.  Creators Marissa Brostoff, 33, and Mindy Isser, 28, were concerned that socialist men were not dating socialist women, and described their new dating platform as a "communal service" to help filter through a potential date's political leanings.

...After 12-18 years of publicly funded brainwashing the Millennials and their follow-on generation have been  primed to embrace the utopian ideal of socialism.
"Coolheaded Obaman technocracy is out; strident left-wing moral clarity is in.  And while this atmospheric shift is felt most acutely among the left-literary crowd, it's also bled into the general discourse, such that Teen Vogue is constantly flacking against capitalism and one of the most devastating insults in certain corners of the internet is to call someone a neoliberal,"
..."These socialists insist they don't support repressive states like the Soviet Union or North Korea," The Post said, and instead "point to Scandinavian-style socialism in nations like Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden as 'true socialism.'  One problem: Those countries aren't socialist."
They tried it, but they don’t necessarily like it.

Now they’re fixing it.
To paraphrase Meryl Streep: “when are we going to stop brainwashing our children!”

DNC Blacklisting Of Fox News Proves GOP Needs To Fight Media:

Image result for flickr commons images Fox News LogoThe Democratic National Committee is refusing to allow Fox News Channel to televise any of its candidate debates during the 2019-2020 cycle, according to the Washington Post.
DNC Chair Tom Perez cited an article written by liberal journalist Jane Mayer of The New Yorker for his decision. Her article alleged that Fox News Channel, which has been less hostile and hysterical about the man elected president by the United States electorate than its counterparts at every other television outlet, was too close to the Donald Trump White House.

"Big Education" preying on YOUR children!!-----How Government-Guaranteed Student Loans Killed the American Dream for Millions - Foundation for Economic Education

How Government-Guaranteed Student Loans Killed the American Dream for Millions - Foundation for Economic Education:
  • When government-guaranteed checks keep rolling in, there's no incentive for colleges and universities to lower their prices. In fact, they do the opposite.
"In Basic Economics, Thomas Sowell wrote that prices are what tie together the vast network of economic activity among people who are too vastly scattered to know each other.
See the source imagePrices are the regulators of the free market.
An object’s value in the free market is not how much it costs to produce, but rather how much a consumer is willing to pay for it.
...The Problem with Government-Backed Student Loans
... According to Forbes, the average price of tuition has increased eight times faster than wages since the 1980s.
In 2018, the Federal Reserve estimated that there is currently $1.5 trillion in unpaid student debt.
...The government’s backing of student loans has caused the price of higher education to artificially rise; the demand would not be so high if college were not a financially viable option for some.
Young people have been led to believe that a diploma is the ticket to the American dream, but that’s not the case for many Americans.
...Nor can student loans be discharged by filing for bankruptcy..."

How nerds smothered American culture | Spectator USA

How nerds smothered American culture | Spectator USA:
  • It is a morbid sign for a democracy when the electorate chooses superheroes to do its bidding, rather than politicians
"...‘It used to be that cool people looked down on nerds. Now I know a lot of cool people who pretend to be nerds.’
Alonso was right.
The nerds have taken over Hollywood, America and the world.
...President Obama praised the trend:
‘I think America’s a nerdier country than it used to be when I was a kid – and that’s a good thing!’
Obama, with typical glibness, had forgotten a crucial general point about nerds: they are not happy people.
There were good reasons why there was a stigma around being a nerd; those who loved stories about dragons and superheroes into adulthood tended to be nebbish, poorly-tailored and sexually inadequate.
They needed to escape into fantasy worlds because the real world was brutal, cruel and completely uninterested in playing tabletop wargames.
The wholesale nerdification of America began when the certainties and comforts of the 1990s gave way to the pessimism and paranoia of the post-9/11 world.
...The bleak worldview of the traditional nerd – quietly seething, victimized, powerless, friendless, obsessed and solaced by trivia, disenchanted with the authorities and institutions that fail to protect them from predatory bullies – has become the worldview of many Americans.
...If many people in a society feel like outsiders and the major mass culture tells them loudly and constantly that this is a noble thing to be, then what kind of politics will you have?..."

Levin: 'The hate-America Democrats passed a resolution telling you that America sucks' - Conservative Review:

Image result for flickr commons images Mark LevinEarlier Thursday, the House of Representatives passed a nonbinding resolution, 407 to 23, which they claimed condemned anti-Semitism. Levin explained that in fact, the resolution does the opposite, though the New York Times and Washington Post have already scorned the Republicans who voted against it.
“This resolution, cobbled together by the Democrat party leadership — which includes Jewish Americans — did not condemn Omar, Tlaib, Ocasio-Cortez. It did not condemn anti-Semitism qua anti-Semitism. You know what it condemned? The American people. It condemned the American people as an anti-Semitic people, which we are not,” he said. “As a racist people, which we are not. As a homophobic people, which we are not. And down the list.”

RECYCLING IS STILL GARBAGE: Fiscal realities are finally persuading towns to junk their recycling…

Instapundit  Blog Archive  RECYCLING IS STILL GARBAGE
"RECYCLING IS STILL GARBAGE: Fiscal realities are finally persuading towns to junk their recycling programs, as the Atlantic reports sorrowfully
Alana Semuels nicely analyzes the fatal economic flaws of recycling but ends with a bit of green sermonizing:
Americans are going to have to come to terms with a new reality: All those toothpaste tubes and shopping bags and water bottles that didn’t exist 50 years ago need to go somewhere, and creating this much waste has a price we haven’t had to pay so far.
See the source imageActually, we’ve already paid the price by building landfills with with expensive liners and other environmental safeguards.
And we’ve paid a lot more for recycling programs that were never necessary.
Yes, those water bottles do have to go somewhere — and there’s plenty of room for them right back where they came from, in the ground.
Why are greens horrified by the prospect of a plastic bottle made from petroleum being buried in a landfill?
The plastic poses less of an underground threat  than the petroleum did.
It’s much better environmentally (and cheaper) to put plastic bottles in a local landfill instead of shipping them  off for recycling to Asia (the only place with any market for them), because some of those bottles end up in rivers that send the plastic waste into the Pacific Ocean.
Eric Boehm at Reason has a much savvier take on the scrapped recycling programs:
Like most other civic issues, recycling programs should be judged by their costs and benefits. That means an honest assessment of the costs and benefits, one that leaves out the social signaling of environmentalism and the feel-good effects of putting an empty Coke bottle in a plastic bin that’s painted blue instead of black. There is no need to recycle all the things all the time, and the market seems to be sending towns and cities a powerful signal about the benefits of calling trash, trash.

Nationwide blackout in socialist Venezuela is more than just turning the country into North Korea...
"Venezuela's ruling Cuban and Chavista socialists put on quite a show last night.
So much for Vladimir Lenin's famous dictum

The "plus," they decided, was dispensible.

Adults won’t take climate change seriously. So we, the youth, are forced to strike. - Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists
"Editor’s note: The authors are the lead organizers of US Youth Climate Strike, part of a global student movement inspired by 16-year-old climate activist Greta Thunberg’s weekly school strikes in Sweden and other European countries.
'We, the youth of America, are fed up with decades of inaction on climate change. On Friday, March 15, young people like us across the United States will strike from school.
We strike to bring attention to the millions of our generation who will most suffer the consequences of increased global temperatures, rising seas, and extreme weather.
But this isn’t a message only to America.
It’s a message from the world, to the world, as students in dozens of countries on every continent will be striking together for the first time...

We strike to support the Green New Deal.
We strike because our world leaders haven’t acknowledged, prioritized, or properly addressed the climate crisis.
We strike because marginalized communities across our nation—especially communities of color and low income communities—are already disproportionately impacted by climate change..."

The Problem Is Legislative Overreach, Not Executive – American Greatness

The Problem Is Legislative Overreach, Not Executive – American Greatness:

Image result for flickr commons images White HouseBurdened with so much responsibility, President Trump should have the power to carry out the promises he was elected to fulfill, particularly when it comes to a wall that would stop illegal immigration and help facilitate much-needed immigration reform that respects America’s sovereignty over the question. Conversely, those who have no such responsibility should be ignored, or at least overruled.
In a country plagued with corrupt legislators who shirk their responsibilities and a biased media that is every bit as beholden to the special interests propping up the legislature, it has become clear that Americans are safer putting their trust in the president than in Congress—particularly when that Congress is filled with today’s Democrats

Vox Exposes Racism in the Knitting Community, Revealing a Caucasian Woman Who Was Too Excited to Visit India-----Ace of Spades HQ

"Vox Exposes Racism in the Knitting Community, Revealing a Caucasian Woman Who Was Too Excited to Visit India
The reason why you can't be too excited to visit a country largely populated by people of a slightly different genetic make-up than you is that you might "exoticize" them and you might expect them to deliver you some kind of spiritual uplift, which forces them to do unpaid labor as your Brown Gurus.
And also appropriates their culture for your personal White Journey.
My culture isn't your Prom Dress, Hater.
(This a reference to Social Justice Warriors attacking high school girls who like Asian and Indian fabrics. Apparently Round-Eye isn't allowed to wear anything but linen and sheephide.)
This story is from a couple of weeks ago but it's as timeless as suggesting that Jews are motivated by dual loyalty and money and the blood of Christian infants.
In January, Karen Templer, a popular knitting blogger, told her followers about an upcoming trip to India, kicking off the whole debate. The post, which discussed Templer's excitement about her childhood dream finally being fulfilled, praised India's culture and food and also noted Templer's "lifelong obsession with the literature and history of the continent."Her innocuous comments about India were immediately attacked. One commenter, Alex, noted her "words feed into a colonial/imperialist mindset toward India and other non-Western countries." Vox author Jaya Saxena also jumped on board, saying the tone Templer used, as a white person, "felt like they thought India only existed to be all those things for them."

After several days of this and other ridiculous abuse, Templer apologized for the post, writing that her earlier post was "insensitive" and that "words matter."

A Quillette article had previously examined the Social Justice Warrior invasion of another formerly-pleasant hobby enjoyed by Normies (who must be either reeducated or destroyed.)

Very interesting!-----"... a major flaw. Once, again, all volcanic activity is listed into a single category...volcanoes."

Image result for volcanoScientists Skeptical of Anthropogenic Global Warming
"Recently read some abstracts of a rather long paper on the suns relationship to climate and mostly to volcanic activity on the earth.
Very interesting read.
However, there was a major flaw.
Once, again, all volcanic activity is listed into a single category...volcanoes.
The earth's own geophysics has been categorically ignored by the AGW people as being insignificant. Poppycock.
Dr. JK Hilliar of Cambridge University found over 200,000 volcanic sea mounts over 100 meters tall.
That is a significant number considering they were ALL caused by volcanic action. But here is the kicker.
SUBOCEANIC VOLCANIC ACTION HAS JUST THE OPPOSITE EFFECT ON CLIMATE AS DOES TERRESTRIAL VOLCANIC ACTION.
See the source imageWhy is that?
SO2 released directly into the atmosphere, along with the particulate carbon that filters out sunlight...cools the climate.
Undersea volcanic activity heats the oceans and creates a warmer solution/the oceans.
The SO2 that cools the atmosphere in terrestrial volcanic action, doesn't in suboceanic release and actually adds some acidity to the oceans and is a much stronger acid than that created by CO2.
Most of all a warmer ocean holds less water and carbon dioxide in solution.
The side effect is atmospheric warming because of the water vapor in the air, even though it periodically falls out.
And CO2 is a RESULT and not a cause of climate change, as it simply does not have the ability to cause any real climate change because it cannot absorb IR and maintain heat in 3 of its 4 higher energy states that are stimulated by sunlight.
It can only be effective in hyper-concentration in an enclosed environment.
Our climate is not that and it expands when warmer."

Pelosi even reportedly walked out of a meeting Wednesday with Democrat House members, setting down her microphone and telling attendees, “Well if you're not going to listen to me, I’m done talking."

‘Ridiculous’! 125 House Dems – and one Republican – vote in favor of bill to lower voting age to 16 Conservative News Today
"On Thursday over 50 percent of House Democrats voted in favor of a widely panned measure to lower the voting age for all federal elections from 18 to 16.
Introduced by freshman congresswoman Ayanna Pressley and backed by the likes of anti-Semitic, Muslim freshman congresswoman Rashida Tlaib, among others in the radical freshmen class, the measure failed to pass only because of opposition from most Republicans and 108 Democrats.
Meanwhile, a whopping 125 Democrats and one Republican, Texas Congressman Michael C. Burgess, voted in favor of the measure.
It’s unclear why Burgess voted “aye.”
