For Apple, It’s Time To Choose: America, Or China? | The Daily Caller:
In other words, there is nowhere left to hide. As Kitchen put it, “the Chinese government will have lawful and technical access to all digital data within its borders and perhaps to large volumes of data beyond its borders.” If a company operates in China, they will be required to provide the country’s intelligence and law enforcement authorities all the access they want to that company’s data.
The implications for American companies are stark. Trade on the bottom line, or trade in on the American consumer?
Big Tech’s priors in this regard are not comforting. When presented with the choice to engage in an overt censorship regime that passed user data to the Chinese government, or to opt out of the Chinese market, Google chose the former.

"The student body president at Brown University, Viet Nguyen, will personally be handing out free tampons and pads in men's, women's, and gender neutral restrooms on campus, Newsweek reported Tuesday.
"We wanted to set a tone of trans-inclusivity, and not forget that they're an important part of the population," Nguyen explained in an email announcing his bathroom project.

- Syringes also litter the ground.
- Employees have been assaulted, according to Bazyar.
- "I've been chased with a 2-by-4, a knife, a pipe. A man bashed in my windshield with a rock," said Tamara Chapman, a financial controller with the company.
- On Friday, Bazyar recorded an alleged drug deal happening outside his office.
- "Everyday, two to three times a day, we're running people off," he said.
- Bazyar has called police to complain.
- "There have been periods where we literally call 10 times a day," he said.

Convincing people they did not see what they saw would not be easy, but the networks made the task possible by refusing to show the actual videos.

Sanders' immigration plan: Halt deportations, abolish ICE, welcome 50K 'climate migrants,' give welfare to all | Fox News:
Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., on Thursday released a sweeping immigration plan that would impose a moratorium on deportations, "break up" existing immigration enforcement agencies, grant full welfare access to illegal immigrants and welcome a minimum of 50,000 “climate migrants” in the first year of a Sanders administration.
The plan effectively establishes Sanders at the far left of the immigration debate, as he aims to energize a base that helped drive his 2016 primary campaign amid competition from other liberal candidates in the field this time around.

"Social-justice organizations last week threatened the University of California with a lawsuit unless it halts the use of standardized testing in admissions, claiming the tests discriminate against minorities.
Who knows what success they may have before a sympathetic judge.
But the issue may be settled sooner as the political mood in the UC moves against testing.
This shift could have baleful nationwide consequences.
...UC is by far the largest university system in the country, and if it throws out testing the admissions landscape would fundamentally change.
...Anti-testing campaigners have been unable to explain how they would academically compare students across schools with different grading standards.
They want to stamp out performance disparities on tests, but tackling the achievement gap requires improving education in poor areas..." (and that ain't gonna happen)

Next Generation of Americans Will Embrace Socialism If We Lose ‘War on History’
"As young Americans are losing an understanding of civics and American history, they increasingly embrace socialism.
An annual poll conducted for the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation again found that the younger generations have a far sunnier view of socialism and communism than their elders.
Some of the findings from the YouGov survey, released Oct. 28, were deeply worrisome.
According to the poll, 70% of millennials responded that they are likely or extremely likely to vote for a “socialist.”
About 50% said they have an unfavorable view of capitalism.
...Seventy-six percent of respondents “are unaware that the Hitler-Stalin pact started World War II,” the poll found.
...Perhaps worse than nostalgia for the Soviet Union, (ONLY!) “57% of millennials (compared to 94% of the Silent Generation) believe the Declaration of Independence better guarantees freedom and equality over the Communist Manifesto.”...

County Says Seizing Home Over $8.41 Tax Debt Was OK Because Counties Need Money – Reason.com:
...In trying to defend the county's right to seize the full value of Rafaeli's property over a minuscule debt, Bursch had argued that it was impossible for local governments to compensate all homeowners who had been caught in similar circumstances.
- "You have a situation where a person owed $8 and lost their house. I mean, how is that equitable?" asked Michigan Supreme Court Justice Richard Bernstein.
...In trying to defend the county's right to seize the full value of Rafaeli's property over a minuscule debt, Bursch had argued that it was impossible for local governments to compensate all homeowners who had been caught in similar circumstances.
The price tag, he estimated, would be more than $2 billion statewide.
..."It may sound unfair on its face," Bursch replied. "But it's also unfair to force those who pay their taxes to subsidize those who don't."
Bernstein was still skeptical. "It was $8," he said. "Couldn't it be a mistake?"
"The counties don't want the property," argued Bursch. "They want the money." Bingo.

"The Orange County Register ran a story hyping the usual speculative climate alarmist propaganda claim that sea level rise “could wipe out beaches”, jeopardize “90 beach front homes” and “threaten” the railroad and pier in the city of San Clemente.
...These usual dire and hyped coastal sea level rise claims are based upon calculated output that arise from unvalidated “computer models” that are supposed to help city officials evaluate future coastal protection actions.
...Front and center in the consultant report used to support the hyped “computer model” sea level rise manufactured outcomes is the following disclaimer that clearly demonstrate the high level of speculation and conjecture behind such “estimates”:
“It is understood that estimating and projecting future weather, tidal, ocean and on-shore conditions and their impacts upon existing or contemplated developments or resources is difficult, complex and based on variable assumptions, and further, is impacted by factors potentially beyond the Consultant’s ability to predict or control. Accordingly, any estimates, forecasts reviews or assessments provided as part of the Services are presented solely on the basis of the assumptions accompanying the estimates, forecasts, reviews and assessments, and subject to the information or data utilized at the time of this project.”
The consultant report does not provide explicit and available NOAA tide gauge data as noted below showing that the actual measured rate of coastal sea level rise at the closest regional location which is La Jolla is just 8.5 inches per century with that rate having remained consistent for the last 95 years..."

"(CNSNews.com) – In a new report, the Center for Military Readiness says that 84% of women fail the New Army Combat Fitness Test and that “all military officials should drop the ‘gender diversity’ agenda and put mission readiness and ‘combat lethality’ first.”
“It makes no sense for recruiters to devote more time and money recruiting ‘gender diverse’ trainees who are more likely to be injured, less likely to want infantry assignments, and less likely to remain through basic training or physically-demanding combat arms assignments for twenty years or more,” states the CMR report.
...“Women are serving with courage as they always have,” said the CMR.
“But in two major categories – unequal physical capabilities and sexual misconduct – signs of a failing social experiment are increasingly obvious.”

- “15 percent of Millennials think the world would be better off if the Soviet Union still existed.”
- “About one-in-five Millennials (22 percent) believe that ‘society would be better if all private property was abolished,’ compared to 1 percent of the Silent Generation.”
- “45 percent of Generation Z and Millennials believe that ‘all higher education should be free.’”

- “Only 57 percent of Millennials believe the Declaration of Independence better ‘guarantees freedom and equality’ over the Communist Manifesto.”
You may be thinking: How is this possible?...
