"Pessimism pays in the world of new media.
A writer can harvest a tidy sum complaining about the awful politician, that stupid celebrity, and how the world is always, endlessly falling apart.
Programming directors, website editors and social media mavens know this all too well.
...Despite our differences, many Americans agree on one point: everything is terrible.
Health care stinks, the environment is dying, violence and hatred are rampant, and income inequality has never been worse.
...As unpopular as it might be to admit, this past decade has been the best yet.
Things are better than ever and should be better still in another 10 years..."

WORTH REMEMBERING ON 9/11: Obama’s legacy was self-inflicted defeat everywhere we faced Islamist terror.Plus, some history, worth repeating again:
Obama whines he just didn’t ‘have the tools’ to act on Syria.
Related: Obama seems eager to massage his legacy as it’s being written. We, therefore, are obliged to get the record right.
Well, here’s some history for you:
Rachel Maddow Tries to Rewrite History of Obama ‘Ending the War’ in Iraq.
Flashback: No Doubt About It — We’re Back in a Ground War in Iraq.
But Obama had to have a campaign issue.
And I suppose I should repeat my Iraq War history lesson: Things were going so well as late as 2010 that the Obama Administration was bragging about Iraq as one of its big foreign policy successes.
In the interest of historical accuracy, I think I’ll repeat this post again:
BOB WOODWARD: Bush Didn’t Lie About WMD, And Obama Sure Screwed Up Iraq In 2011...
Plus: Maybe that Iraq withdrawal was a bad thing in hindsight.
Obama’s actions, if not his words, suggest that even he may think so.---Posted by Glenn Reynolds"

Well, here’s some history for you:
Rachel Maddow Tries to Rewrite History of Obama ‘Ending the War’ in Iraq.
Flashback: No Doubt About It — We’re Back in a Ground War in Iraq.
Without much fanfare, Obama has dramatically reversed his Iraq policy — sending thousands of troops back in the country after he declared the war over, engaging in ground combat despite initially promising that his strategy “will not involve American combat troops fighting on foreign soil.” Well, they’re on foreign soil, and they’re fighting. It would have been easier — and would have cost far fewer lives — if we had just stayed.
But Obama had to have a campaign issue.

Romancing the Suleimani: eulogies for revered terrorists
"There must be some bitter rivalry in the prog-media's terrorist eulogy sector.
"Austere scholar," "most revered," and now this.
This passionate Soleimani eulogy in the New Yorker reads like a romance novel.
I looked it up and indeed, it was authored by someone who seems to be a vulnerable woman with the hots for brutal Islamic strongmen.
Robin Wright is the New Yorker's eminent expert on Iran, obviously not without dark, erotic fantasies about sadistic tyrants in their rape rooms and dungeons filled with BDSM paraphernalia, all of which becomes subliminally encoded in her body of work.

Where’s the outrage over Kerry’s secret meetings on the Iran deal? - The Washington Post
"Democrats routinely express outrage over claims of collusion with a foreign power to undermine our democracy.
So where is the outrage over revelations that former secretary of state John Kerry held not one but two secret meetings with Iran’s foreign minister to strategize over how to undermine President Trump’s plans to withdraw from the Iran nuclear deal?
An Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman confirmed the meetings after the Boston Globe broke the news, declaring , “We don’t see the U.S. just as Mr. Trump; the United States is not just the current ruling administration.”
Think about what this means.
Iran is a terrorist state responsible for the deaths of hundreds of Americans in Iraq, whose leaders hold rallies where thousands chant “Death to America!”
Kerry was working with a sworn enemy of the United States to try to undermine the foreign policy of the elected president of the United States.

However, Biden took a different approach while campaigning as Barack Obama’s running mate in 2008. On his campaign website in a section about Iran policy, Biden wrote, “It is precisely because the consequences of war – intended or otherwise – can be so profound and complicated that our Founding Fathers vested in Congress, not the President, the power to initiate war, except to repel an imminent attack on the United States or its citizens.”

Treason? Ilhan Omar Gives Military Advice Against Trump to Iran
"The inspiringly patriotic Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Tehran, no, check that, I’m hearing she’s from Minnesota) tweeted Monday offering some unsolicited military advice to the Islamic Republic of Iran:
Trump needs to immediately divest from his businesses and comply with the emoluments clause.
Iran could threaten Trump hotels *worldwide* and he could provoke war over the loss of revenue from skittish guests.
His business interests should not be driving military decisions.”..."

The “Justice” host credited President Donald Trump and dismissed naysayers who claimed the Trump administration reacted in such a way as to distract from the impeachment saga.

Surgeon General: Weed Legalization 'A Massive Public Health Experiment':
"U.S. Surgeon General Jerome Adams called the spread of state marijuana legalization "a massive public health experiment on our citizenry."
Appearing before a hearing of the Senate Caucus on International Narcotics Control on Wednesday, Adams emphasized that legalization has proceeded without adequate scientific evidence.
He said state lawmakers have rushed to enter the lucrative drug market despite the fact that many people do not fully understand the risks associated with marijuana use.
He highlighted the risks of marijuana use by teenagers, pregnant women, and recent mothers—all of which, he said, remain chronically under-discussed in spite of their support in the scientific literature..."
