What Will the Left Do When a Billion-Jillion Americans Don't Die of Coronavirus? | VodkaPundit
"Have you been watching the TV news about the coronavirus not-quite-yet-a-pandemic?
...If you've had better luck at avoiding the TV news than I have in recent days, let me sum up their coronavirus coverage for you.
OH MY GOD TRUMP IS GOING TO KILL US ALL
The media doesn't think you're gullible enough to believe that Donald Trump is America's Patient Zero and that he will personally sneeze on you just out of spite.
Image result for Orange Man Bad FLURather, the media line is that Trump's hamfisted incompetence (always on display; never actually seen) will prevent an effective response to the crisis.
...Yet still, they persist in this narrative that Trump's a bumbler.
...The meme takes its form this time with headlines like this gem from CNN, breathlessly repeating whatever Nancy Pelosi needs them to: Nancy Pelosi spoke with Mike Pence and expressed concern over his track record on public health.
Trump made Pence his coronavirus point man, about which Pelosi had this to say for the cameras:
I spoke with the Vice President this morning, made some of these concerns known to him. We have always had a very candid relationship and I expressed to him a concern that I had of his being in this position and while I look forward to working with him about when he was governor of Indiana slashing the public health budget and having some clinics, especially a Planned Parenthood clinic closed, which was the only place in that (inaudible) county where you could get tested for HIV and AIDS.
Pence doesn't like publicly-funded abortions, so Orange Man Bad will KILL US ALL WITH CHINA FLU!...

BIRTH OF A VIRUS … – Regie's Blog
"As I watched my neighbor put her dog’s poop in a single-use plastic baggy, I thought about split pants in China.
Image result for chinese split pantsWhen my wife and I got off the plane, 18 years ago, to adopt our first daughter, we were taken aback by the split pants.
Split pants are (or at least were, back then) pants the children wear that are open in the crotch area. That allows them to urinate or defecate unobstructed, onto the street or wherever they may be.
The theory is that eventually they will learn to “aim it at the toilet” or something to that effect.
...Then, my wife and I had to rush our newly adopted, 8-month-old daughter to the public hospital…and suddenly it all started making sense.
As we stepped in more urine, took our number from the print-out machine, walked past the line of children whining and crying from the scalp IVs in their heads, then rushed to clean up blood and mucus (left by the last patient) on the plastic table they were now laying our baby on, then waited on the ONE overworked doctor (attending to no less than three hundred people) try to round up a basic anti-biotic to administer to my daughter (right there on site – no refills) it dawned on me what I was seeing and what I had been seeing this whole time. I wasn’t watching a “backward” culture or a third-world society.
See the source image...I was witnessing the kind of maximum, almost brutal efficiency a society must develop when the state is the master and the individual is merely a subject.
Why would a Communist country not have an effective FDA?
Because who are you going to complain to if you get tainted food?
The government?
They don’t answer to you.
The press?
They are owned by the government.
And again, they don’t answer to you..."

‘You’re proving him correct’! Dana Milbank’s claim that Trump called the coronavirus a ‘hoax’ melts BS detectors (ROLL TAPE) – twitchy.com
"President Trump held a rally in South Carolina last night, and as you might expect the coronavirus was a topic of discussion.
Trump slammed some Democrats and the media for attempting to politicize the virus, and this is how Washington Post columnist Dana Milbank passed it along: (click link to see video and more)
Remember this moment: Trump, in South Carolina, just called the coronavirus a "hoax."
That’s up to almost 16,000 retweets, and BS is being called:
I noticed that you only quoted the word "hoax". I dare you to put quotation marks on Trump's entire quote instead. What are you afraid of...a little context?
A little context goes a long way, but apparently Milbank didn’t have enough room in his tweet to include it.
Here’s the full clip:
Actually, he said tweets like yours- attempts to politicize the coronavirus- are the new hoax. You're a liar. Here's the video:

It looks like Milbank made a good point, just not the one he thinks:

Without a doubt, millions believe that to be true.

Image result for flickr commons images piles of moneyAmericans in nearly a dozen swing states could expect to spend roughly $75,000 per year if the Green New Deal is ever implemented, according to a report Wednesday from a conservative nonprofit group.
The Green New Deal would cost households an average of between $74,287 and $76,683 in Colorado, Michigan and Pennsylvania, among others, a report from the Competitive Enterprise Institute noted. CEI worked with Power the Future and the Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty on the report.
“Right now, our booming national economy and record low unemployment rate is driven by abundant, domestic, reliable, and inexpensive energy produced by millions of men and women across the country,” Daniel Turner, executive director of Power the Future, said in a statement.

There’s a very good reason the media is silent about the Milwaukee mass shooting - American Thinker
"On Wednesday, an angry ex-employee got a gun, put a silencer on it, went to the MillersCoors facility where he had once worked, and shot five people to death before shooting himself.
One would expect to have a barrage of news stories about America’s gun violence problem and the need to ban guns.
After all, on Tuesday, before the shooting happened, the Democrat candidates were all over each other trying to explain why each would be more effective at destroying the Second Amendment. Instead, though, we got crickets.
The reason for the media’s silence became apparent when the media identified the shooter: 51-year-old Anthony Ferrill was black..."

Students are smort!-----UCLA BANS all single-use plastics

UCLA BANS all single-use plastics

  • UCLA has announced a policy development that would completely ban single-use plastics, and replace them with compostables and other alternatives.
  • Similar to a UC-wide policy decision, UCLA shortened its deadlines and more aggressive goals.

"...The new policy will ultimately remove all single-use plastics ranging from cups and cup lids, plastic bags, utensils, bowls, and other “food accessory” items.
Image result for what could possibly go wrong memeThe goal for UCLA is to have every dine-in or take-out restaurant, dining halls, events, and even departmental meetings move away from plastics completely and begin using locally compostable or reusable alternatives.
...“As a biology major, I’ve studied how critical a healthy ocean is in fighting climate change, in carbon capture, biodiversity and as an ecosystem,” said UCLA junior, Sithara Menon, chair of the CALPIRG Students UCLA chapter.
“It’s important, as students, that we take what we learn and use it, and I can do that starting here on this campus, helping reduce our plastic addiction.”...
