Science's Untold Scandal: The Lockstep March of Professional Societies to Promote the Climate Change Scare | Columns
"When we started our careers, it was considered an honor to be a member of professional societies that helped practitioners keep up with the latest developments in their fields through relevant meetings and publications.
...But things are different now.
Whether it be chemistry, physics, geology or engineering, many of the world’s primary professional societies have changed from being paragons of technical virtue to opportunistic groups focused on maximizing their members' financial gains in support of the climate scare, the world’s greatest science fraud.
In particular, they continue to promote the groundless hypothesis that carbon dioxide emitted as a result of mankind’s use of fossil fuels is leading to environmental catastrophe.
...Dr. Patrick Moore, a co-founder of Greenpeace, wrote in 1994 that radical greens had taken over the organization after the fall of the Berlin Wall, leaving him no choice but to resign.
The takeover of environmental institutions by extremists is now almost complete, the most important of which may be the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)..."

Why And How China Secretly Supports Climate Alarmism | Climate Dispatch

  • The supreme  art of war  is to subdue the enemy without fighting.-Sun Tzu, The Art of War.
"Climate hysteria around the western world is perfectly aligned with China’s objective to economically subdue the west without fighting.
Climate alarmists, that army of ‘useful idiots’, share China’s objective of breaking down the economies and structures of western nations: they’re ‘all in’ with Team China.
Image result for China Secretly Supports Climate AlarmismFor an expansionist and power-hungry China, climate alarmism is a powerful yet arms-length weapon. While they pay lip service to the ruling orthodoxy, their actions defy it and their secret support for it enjoys full deniability.
At the United Nations, for the purpose of setting emission-reduction targets, China self-declares as a ‘developing country’, avoiding onerous expectations. It exploits this privilege to maximum advantage.
Its ‘greenhouse’ gas emissions are rising at the fastest pace in seven years. It has plans to build 300–500 new coal-fired power stations and to open 17 new coal mines within a decade.
That’s how seriously they take the alleged threat of CO2-driven climate change.
...In some ways (see above) we have already been ‘subdued’ – without fighting.
Or should that be ‘without a fight’?..."

The Sanders campaign announced on Saturday that Agnew — who was already serving as a top campaign surrogate — has been hired on as a senior adviser. Agnew notably works as a co-director for Dream Defenders, a far-left group that advocates for the abolishment of prisons and police, the end of capitalism, and supports open borders.

"If I were advising the Trump campaign, I'd tell them to lean hard on the law-and-order issue.
Increasingly, it seems to me, on several different fronts, we are a lawless society.
Exhibit A: The bail-reform laws passed by the New York State legislature last year.
The local news outlets now regularly feature stories about criminals set free under the new rules, who promptly commit new crimes.
Exhibit B: Sanctuary Cities releasing illegal aliens so they can't be deported.
Exhibit C: California's de-criminalizing of theft up to a value of $950..."

"Nearly 32% of ballots cast in Los Angeles County in Tuesday’s primary election remained to be counted as of Friday, leaving undecided the outcome of some races, including the contest for district attorney.
County election officials said that a wave of vote-by-mail ballots left at vote centers and still arriving by mail contributed to the number of untallied votes..."

San Francisco ignored multiple pleas by federal immigration authorities to transfer custody of a criminally convicted illegal alien, revealing how far city leaders will go to refuse cooperation with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations officers apprehended an unnamed illegal alien near a courthouse in San Francisco, California, on Tuesday, the agency revealed in a press release. The arrest marked the latest development in an ongoing saga between ICE and San Francisco officials regarding this particular alien, whom they refused to hand over despite his extensive criminal history.

"EBay, trying to crack down on price gougers taking advantage of coronavirus fears, has banned sales of face masks and hand sanitizer on its site.
The online marketplace told sellers Thursday that it’s rejecting listings for N95 and N100 masks, hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes and that it is working to remove listings with inflated prices.
...“Californians shouldn’t have to worry about being cheated while dealing with the effects of coronavirus,” state Atty. Gen. Xavier Becerra said in a consumer alert.
“Our state’s price gouging law protects people impacted by an emergency from illegal price gouging on medical supplies, food, gas, and other essential supplies.”

The unholy crusade against gas appliances | Watts Up With That?
See the source image"When Berkeley, California last year became the first U.S. city to ban the installation of natural gas lines to new homes, Mayor Jesse Arreguín proudly stated, “We are committed to the Paris Agreement and must take immediate action in order to reach our climate action goals. It’s not radical. It’s necessary.”
Phasing out natural gas-fired electric power generation by 2030 is bedrock dogma in the Green New Deal.
...Many other cities in California have already followed Berkeley’s lead, as has Bellingham, Washington.
More gas bans are in the offing nationwide.
Connecticut lawmakers actually want a law that would pressure insurers to stop insuring homes that have gas appliances or heating systems!!...

  • Birthright citizenship is being exploited.
"Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials conducted raids on three residential buildings being used for an elaborate ‘birth tourism’ scheme in Southern California last week.
The buildings were being utilized by a birth tourism ring called You Win USA Vacation Resort.
The entity charged pregnant foreign women around $50,000 in return for shepherding them through the US visa and immigration process, with the understanding that they would exploit America’s birthright citizenship laws to ensure their children would be US citizens.
...“These people were told to lie, how to lie, so that their motives for coming to the U.S. wouldn’t be questioned.”
...Such cynical exploitation of American citizenship law reduces American nationality to nothing more than a joke.
America is one of the few nations in the world to maintain outdated birthright citizenship laws, in a globalized era in which numerous other major countries have abolished it....

Coronavirus Reminds The Planet That Borders Are A Great Idea | Blog Posts | VDARE.com
"As the coronavirus spreads around the world, we should notice how the openness of travel has been facilitated the spread of the illness.
Borders are our friends when contagion is on the loose — even though the current panic is largely an overblown media concoction, according to Dr. Drew Pinsky.
But the next communicable disease may be more deadly, so returning to a more orderly, borderly world would be a good idea.
President Trump’s shutdown of foreigner travel from Red China to the US was definitely the right move to block the coronavirus entry here, although he was accused of xenophobia for protecting the American people at the time.

"...Higher education in America is a pathetic, roiling cesspool of leftist lunacy that works feverishly to mint new socialists/communists/whatever every day right under our noses.
See the source imageWe are now seeing disturbing manifestations of the success of this indoctrination mill, from the fact that socialism has gone fairly -- if not quite completely -- mainstream, to the overwhelming intolerance exhibited towards conservative students and speakers on American college campuses.
My friend and colleague Jeff Reynolds wrote yesterday about a study that came out a couple of weeks ago which I had wanted to get to then but was probably distracted by the fact that my liver was in training for CPAC.
The study found that conservative students on college campuses tend to self-censor their political opinions out of fear of backlash from their increasingly unhinged leftist peers..."
