"The real story behind the dismissal of Captain Crozier is that the ship should never have been sent to Vietnam and its crew should never have mixed with the local Vietnamese population. 

The Navy was well aware it was putting carrier personnel at extreme risk and made faulty preparations in case of infection.
A close reading of Captain Crozier’s March 30 letter makes it clear that the Navy did not equip the carrier with either proper testing capabilities or instructions on what to do if anyone got sick.

...According to a March 12 press release from the US Indo-Pacific Command, “sailors from both ships participated in cultural exchanges and community service projects, including making crafts, playing sports, a language exchange, gardening, and painting” at a variety of locations.

It turned out that the man's wife fed him some fish tank cleaner.  

She even partook of it with him, except that he died while she didn't.  

As a dedicated murder mystery reader, I didn't blame Trump.  

My suspicions were focused elsewhere.  

It turns out that my instincts may have been right on the money.  

Here's the story the drive-by media didn't tell you..."

Even as that lie was racing around the world, the truth was struggling to get out.  In this case, the truth was that the couple hadn't taken chloroquine at all.  

Instead, they'd ingested a fish tank cleaner that had "chloroquine phosphate," a deadly chemical.

Even though a fish tank cleaner has nothing to do with a long recognized and legal anti-malarial drug, the media and the woman herself pushed the anti-Trump narrative.  

Indeed, the woman explicitly condemned Trump: "Don't believe anything that the President says and his people."...

"To the folks claiming that President Trump has failed in the government's response to the pandemic - just a couple of questions, if I may - and one I have asked several people who say the President is "failing' or "has failed" - and not received a real answer:
How do you measure success or failure in a situation like this? 
By what metric do you define success or failure?

• I've been told the mortality rates of this virus can't be compared to the flu because it is far deadlier and then people use those same numbers to say this pandemic is so much worse. 
• I'm told I can't compare Obama's six month delay in declaring a national health emergency in the 2009 H1N1 pandemic with Trump's declaration 6 weeks after a similar declaration by Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar, a declaration noting the novel coronavirus as a public health emergency in the United States. 
• I'm told that the President banning flights from China (less than 2 weeks after the first case was officially diagnosed in the US) was moving too slow after having people on the record saying they were unnessary and were just expressions of racism and xenophobia from a racist and xenophobic president.

You can understand my confusion - unless, of course, you aren't interested in reality and just want to try to dunk on Trump..."
