KOTKIN: One Nation, Under Lockdown, Divided By Pandemic | The Daily Caller:
This pattern of infection and fatalities almost completely parallels that of our political divides, with the generally GOP dominated countryside least impacted, the suburbs only somewhat so, and the big blue cities bearing the bulk of pain. By one estimate, states with Republican governors, mostly in the South, Intermountain West, and the Great Plains have suffered one-third the rate of fatalities seen in Democratic controlled states, which tend to be denser in their settlement patterns.

But when she was put under oath -- as the newly released transcript of her House Intelligence Committee interview shows -- she admitted there was no basis for her bombshell claims, noted The Federalist's Sean Davis.
In a March 2, 2017, interview with MSNBC, Farkas claimed knowledge of incriminating information about Trump and his aides.
She urged intelligence community bureaucrats to protect evidence of alleged collusion and even leak it to media.

"...Here’s the thing – we normals respect our police not merely because they have badges and funny hats but because they take personal risks to protect us from those who would violate our rights. Usually, these violators are criminals.
But the category of “People who violate our rights” also includes political hacks and bureaucratic petty fascists.
And we reasonably expect to be protected from those creeps too.
“But we might get suspended or fired!” is the response.
Well, yeah.
That’s correct.
And that’s immaterial.
We flat-out expect cops to run into gunfire to save lives, cowards like that Florida slug aside, just like we expect firemen to run into burning houses.
If doing that stuff was easy and safe, they would not get respect and be honored.
See, that’s the deal.
They get pay and prestige, honor and respect, because they do things other people can’t or won’t for the good of the community.
It’s like soldiers – the troops don’t get thanked for their service because their job is kick-back and safe.
So, we can surely expect them to pushback when some tool with sergeant’s stripes or chief stars tells them to oppress us.
For those LEOs who are confused:
...And these atrocities have to stop.
Yes, the officer(s) resisting bullSchiff commands may get disciplined or fired.
Yes, doing the right thing sometimes has a cost..."

BRENDAN O’NEILL: What Neil Ferguson’s booty call tells us about modern politics...

BRENDAN O’NEILL:
“It is actually incredibly important news that Ferguson, the Imperial College modeller who said it was possible 500,000 Brits would die if we didn’t lock down, defied the lockdown.
It deserves the frontpage treatment it is getting today.
For Ferguson’s booty call with his married lover actually reveals a great deal about the 21st-century elites and how they view their relationship with the masses.
It’s one rule for them and another for us.”---Posted by Glenn Reynolds"In unearthed private letter, Obama excoriated GOP-led probe into Biden as aiding Russian disinformation - TheBlaze
In unearthed private letter, Obama excoriated GOP-led probe into Biden as aiding Russian disinformation - TheBlaze:
The letter was sent from the office of the 44th president to the National Archives and Records Administration in March over a request from Republican Sens. Grassley (Iowa) and Ron Johnson (Wis.) for records relating to Biden's actions in Ukraine.
Critics have accused Biden of using his former position in the Obama administration in order to personally benefit his son Hunter Biden, who sat on the board of a Ukrainian energy company.
Obama called the request improper and said it was aiding a Russian disinformation campaign.

AP Admits Not Reporting, Deleting Tara Reade 2019 Interview
"The Associated Press reported on Saturday it interviewed Tara Reade Friday about her allegations that former Vice President and presumptive 2020 presidential candidate Joe Biden sexually assaulted her in the 1990s when she was an aide in his Senate office but buried that the outlet failed to report on its interviews with Reade in 2019, when she first made public her dealings with Biden.

“The AP declined to publish details of the 2019 interviews at the time because reporters were unable to corroborate her allegations, and aspects of her story contradicted other reporting,” the report said.
The AP report claims that in the 2019 interviews — some of which the media outlet said it deleted “in keeping with the reporter’s standard practice for disposing of old interviews” — does not specifically cite sexual assault but merely that Reade was “uncomfortable” with some of Biden’s attentions, including that “Biden rubbed her shoulders and neck and played with her hair.”...

"America has edged closer to tyranny this year.
We’ve seen, first hand, how far too many of our governors, state officials and even local law enforcement stand ready, willing and able to trample Americans’ fundamental constitutional protections.
And they’ve used the coronavirus as an excuse to do it.
- Regrettably, we’ve also seen nosy neighbors call authorities over others’ obviously Constitutionally-protected actions.
- The worst of our political leaders have actually encouraged “informants” to lodge these complaints.
- ...For example, who would think that someone would call the local police to complain about a family of three playing ball in a park? The fact that a call like that merited an actual police response at all, much less one from three officers, should shock us all.
- But wait, there’s more...
Or how about another busybody neighbor with her nose to the window in Wisconsin who called to complain about a woman who allowed her daughter to play at a friend’s house.
Watch how assertively the officers acted in trampling the woman’s constitutional right to peaceably assemble.

Let me clear up the confusion.
Tyrants always maximize punishments for crimes against the state and minimize crimes against people because, you see, the state is far more important than the individual.
Hope that clears things up."

It’s because these studies and findings weren’t sanctioned by the World Health Organization — the same global institution that has consistently failed at handling the Wuhan coronavirus from the very beginning.

Social Distancing Informants Have Their Eyes on You
Social Distancing Informants Have Their Eyes on You
"Kevin Rusch was at home on a recent Sunday evening scrolling through Facebook when he saw a photo that shocked him:
A man with an American flag bandanna wrapped around his head stood at a rally demanding Wisconsin lift orders that had shuttered schools and businesses.
That man was David Murdock, a cardiologist from his hometown, Wausau.
And, like the hundreds of other people at the rally, Murdock was maskless and did not appear to be practicing social distancing.
In one photo, Murdock’s arm was slung around a priest, with the two holding a sign that read “We are an essential service.”
“His picture popped up, and when I saw it, I was furious,” Rusch said.
“I thought, this guy is out here hugging people and rubbing elbows without PPE on and he’s actively seeing patients.”
Rusch shared Murdock’s photo on Facebook with an admonition about the doctor who boldly attended a rally amid a global pandemic: Go to his hospital “at your own risk.”
Commenters piled on, and dozens of them contacted Murdock’s hospital.
Rusch did, too.
By the next afternoon, Murdock, 68, who has been practicing medicine in central and northern Wisconsin for 33 years, had been suspended for a week..."

Gov. Cuomo: 'Shocking' 66% of new COVID-19 hospitalizations in NY are people who had been staying home - TheBlaze:
Cuomo pulled up a chart compiled by state health officials, explaining, "If you notice, 18% of the people came from nursing homes, less than 1% came from jail or prison, 2% came from the homeless population, 2% from other congregate facilities, but 66% of the people were at home, which is shocking to us."
He continued, "This is a surprise: Overwhelmingly, the people were at home. We thought maybe they were taking public transportation, and we've taken special precautions on public transportation, but actually no, because these people were literally at home."
