Today's inconvenient fact:----Scientists Skeptical of Anthropogenic Global Warming

Scientists Skeptical of Anthropogenic Global Warming--Gregory Wrightstone
"Today's inconvenient fact:
There was a "consensus" opinion in the late 20th Century that previous warming periods dating back to the end of the last glacial advance were warmer than our current temps.
This is from the UN IPCC First Assessment Report (FAR):
"A global warming of larger size has almost certainly occurred at least once since the end of the last glaciation without any appreciable increase in greenhouse gases.
Because we do not understand the reasons for these past warming events, it is not yet possible to attribute a specific proportion of the recent, smaller warming to an increase of greenhouse gases."
The images below are from that report (redrawn for clarity)"

Larry Elder: Obama made things WORSE for black Americans — not Trump - TheBlaze:

"Whereas Obama is treated like, 'Wow, look at all the wonderful things he's done for the black community.' As best as I can tell, he didn't do anything significant for the black community."
"Not only did [Obama] not do anything significant, he made things worse," Elder said.
He went on to review a number of counter-productive actions and statements made by the former president that have been especially damaging to race relations in the United States.

Why Abusive Cops So Often Keep Their Jobs | Mises Wire
"What does it take to fire a cop?
See the source image
...The other four officers involved in his arrest were fired from the Minneapolis Police Department the following day.
By comparison,
  • Fellow Minnesota officer Jeronimo Yanez, who on July 6, 2016, shot and killed Philando Castille in his vehicle after Castille informed him that he was armed, was not relieved until after he was acquitted for manslaughter and reckless discharge of a firearm on May 30, 2017. He was given a $48,500 buyout to leave the St. Anthony department.
  • Cleveland officer Timothy Loehmann, who shot twelve-year-old Tamir Rice on November 22, 2014, was also fired on May 30, 2017. However, his firing was due to withholding information on his job application rather than killing a child who held an airsoft gun.
  • NYPD officer Daniel Pantaleo, who killed Eric Garner over not paying taxes on cigarettes, was not fired until August 19, 2019, a full five years after the latter’s death on July 17, 2014. He plans to file an appeal to get his job back.
  • Philip Brailsford, who shot Daniel Shaver while he lay prone in the hallway of a hotel in Mesa, Arizona, on January 18, 2016, was fired in March of that year. However, he was reinstated in August 2018 for forty-two days in order that he could be medically retired for PTSD (due to his shooting of Shaver) and receive a $2,500 monthly pension.
What I would like to emphasize here, however, is that a police officer being fired is often not the end of the story.
Even though the officers involved in Floyd’s death have been fired, they may not stay fired.
...many police union contracts require that misconduct be removed from an officer’s record after a certain period.
...Some, such as that of Columbus, Ohio, even prohibit the use of an officer’s history as a factor in determining the propriety of disciplinary action in later investigations.

This Is What Social Justice Looks Like | The American Spectator

See the source imageThis Is What Social Justice Looks Like | The American Spectator
"...Socialism saw its representation in the sickle and hammer.
Social justice finds its symbol in a plodding man in trousers that do not cover his rear but a bandana that obscures his face carrying a PlayStation 4 under his left arm and three boxes of Nike Lebron Soldier 13s under his right.
But social justice is so much more diverse than just expropriating.

  • Someone social justiced the words “Ya’ll Not Tired Yet?” on the Lincoln Memorial (What did that dead, white male ever do for social justice?).
  • In Rochester, New York, a man social justiced an elderly woman in the face before social justicing her hair. His friend then social justiced her in the head with a wooden plank.
  • Authorities downstate in New York City allege that two lawyers social justiced an NYPD vehicle.
  • Another woman who apparently traveled to the city from Catskill also attempted to social justice an occupied cop car but failed when the flame on the rag failed to ignite the gasoline in the bottle.

Social justice attracts people from all walks of life, frequently follows hashtags, and surely finds itself trending on Google.
Social justicing is hot..."

The lying about Donald Trump is now completely out of control

"Anti-Trump liberals (i.e., Democrats and the media) just have to find something — anything — wrong with the president, even if it means making it up.
The perpetually not-President Hillary Clinton on Monday shared a side-by-side photo of the White House, one lit up in a rainbow spectrum from 2015, when Barack Obama was in office, and the other appearing almost in pitch black with no lighting. “Elections matter,” tweeted Clinton.
Former Obama adviser David Axelrod shared the same image of the darkened White House, calling it “perfect symbolism,” because, “if ever the country needed the occupant of the White House to shed light, and not heat, now is the time. Sadly, the lights are out.”See the source image
Yet it turns out the photo passed off as a metaphor for Trump’s apathy toward police brutality and racism was actually...from the Obama years...

Over 400 NYC Looters to Be Freed from Jail Thanks to 'Bail Reform'

Image result for flickr commons images Bill de BlasioOver 400 NYC Looters to Be Freed from Jail Thanks to 'Bail Reform':

More than 400 looters arrested in New York City, New York, riots this week will be immediately freed from jail thanks to Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s (D-NY) “bail reform” policy that eliminated bail for many nonviolent and violent crimes.
As riots rage on in New York City — and Mayor Bill de Blasio has refused to deploy the U.S. National Guard — hundreds of looters arrested for burglarizing shops and stores are set to be immediately freed back onto the streets.

Why the Hammer and Sickle Should Be Treated Like the Swastika - Foundation for Economic Education

Why the Hammer and Sickle Should Be Treated Like the Swastika - Foundation for Economic Education:
  • Why do we treat two equally bloody ideologies in such starkly different ways?
"If someone were to ask you to think of either extreme of the political spectrum, odds are you would immediately picture a swastika at one end and a hammer and sickle at the other.
Image result for Hammer and Sickle Should Be Treated Like the Swastika
...Upon seeing a swastika, we are immediately reminded of the evils of the Nazi regime and are accordingly repulsed.
To publicly display the logo is even a crime in many European countries.
We understand how abhorrent the ideology is and treat it accordingly with disrespect and disgust.
But how do we react to the hammer and sickle?
I don’t have to write an article explaining the millions of deaths that occurred at the hands of communist regimes; like the Holocaust, the gulags of the Soviet Union and killing fields of Cambodia are widely known.
    Hammer and sickle
  • Yet journalists in the UK openly and proudly advocate communism.
  • Statues of Karl Marx are erected.
  • Even in the US, historically one of the most passionately anti-communist states in history, there is a statue of Vladimir Lenin in the northwestern city of Seattle.
So why exactly do we treat two equally bloody ideologies in such starkly different ways?...

"...Whether it was with specific intent, depraved indifference or simple incompetence isn't a issue for me - logic says that there were infinite ways to restrain Mr. Floyd and Officer Chauvin chose the one that caused the death.
By you and I are aware of another white government official, actually two of them, who, through their actions caused the death of 6,000 innocent people - many of them black.
I'm talking, of course, about Andrew Cuomo and Kaiser Wilhelm de Blasio.
Why are there no protests?
Compared to Chauvin, Cuomo is a mass murderer.

Why are we not having marches in major cities and a national discussion about how a full 40% of the Covid-19 deaths - 40,600 - were in nursing homes across this country with most coming from states where Democrat governors reign?...

Ex-Baltimore mayor, once convicted of embezzlement, now favorite to fill seat of mayor convicted of fraud | Fox News
"The Baltimore mayoral seat that was vacated last year when Catherine Pugh resigned over a corruption scandal -- which led to a three-year prison sentence -- now appears likely to be filled by a former mayor who has a past conviction of her own.
With Democratic primary returns still coming in after Tuesday’s vote, the front-runner appears to be Sheila Dixon, who resigned as mayor in 2010 after a jury found her guilty of misdemeanor embezzlement for misappropriating gift cards for the poor...

"Minneapolis City Ward Three Councilor Steve Fletcher made the revelation in a series of tweets on Tuesday.
...He tweeted that he and “several” of his fellow city council members “are working on finding out what it would take to disband the MPD.”
Fletcher said they would like to replace the city’s police force by starting “fresh with a community-oriented, non-violent public safety and outreach” model.

  • “Our city needs a public safety capacity that doesn’t fear our residents.
  • That doesn’t need a gun at a community meeting.
  • That considers itself part of our community.
  • That doesn’t resort quickly to pepper spray when people are understandably angry.
  • That doesn’t murder black men,” Fletcher wrote.
