Policies Have Consequences: Five Things You Should Know | American Center for Law and Justice

Policies Have Consequences: Five Things You Should Know | American Center for Law and Justice

One often hears the statement, “Elections have consequences.”  That political aphorism is such a given, it reminds me of another one from my Army career:  “That is a blinding flash of the obvious!”  However, just as important and true is this maxim: “Policies have consequences.”  Whatever the motives and the intended results of the Biden Administration as to their policies—some of the policies and actions have dire consequences for every American.  The United States is facing a plethora of challenges and crises in national security, economics, and foreign policy directly related to the Executive orders and policies of President Joe Biden.  Biden’s presidency is beginning to resemble Jimmy Carter’s—where matters beyond his control were exacerbated by weak reactions and poor policies.

In a mere four months, here is a short list of problems that seem to be self-inflicted by the new Administration.

Biden's tax cut for the wealthy ain't "inadvertent"!-----Part 2--EDITORIAL: Joe Biden and the magic money nightmare - The Spectator World

EDITORIAL: Joe Biden and the magic money nightmare - The Spectator World
"...Biden is under serious pressure to raise, or abolish altogether, the cap on how much state and local tax (SALT) taxpayers can deduct from their federal tax bills. Under Trump’s Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017, this was limited to $10,000.
Democrats hate the SALT cap because it discriminates against taxpayers who live in high-tax states like New York.
But if the SALT cap were eliminated altogether, estimates the Joint Committee on Taxation, it could cost the federal government $88.7 billion in revenue, with the rich benefiting most.
How ironic that Biden could scupper his own spending plans through an inadvertent tax cut for the wealthy...Read all.

EDITORIAL: Joe Biden and the magic money nightmare - The Spectator World:
  • It’s unfashionable to worry about inflation. It’s also right
"'We have nothing to fear but fear itself,’ said Franklin D. Roosevelt famously, at his first inauguration in the depths of the Great Depression in 1933.
What he didn’t allow for was the danger of overconfidence.
Yes, a country can talk its way into recession, but it can also print and spend its way into an inflationary nightmare.
That is the worrying prospect now facing America as Joe Biden, a president often compared to FDR, tries to tempt the country into a post-Covid spending spree courtesy of magic money.
It has become deeply unfashionable to worry about inflation.
  • According to proponents of modern monetary theory, what happened in Weimar Germany and more recently in Mugabe’s Zimbabwe somehow is not relevant to developed economies.
  • Governments can print their way out of economic crises without worrying about debt or inflation.
  • Why, look what happened after the 2008-09 crisis when governments first started quantitative easing, they say: we had no inflation problem after that, however the Cassandras cried.
  • Biden’s various multitrillion plans, including that $1,400 of helicopter money to every American who earns up to $75,000 a year, are not risky bets but wise and equitable policies which will return the US to growth and a fairer economy...Read all.

Former FBI director reportedly gave $100k to Biden grandchildren's trust, emailed Hunter that he'd like to work 'with you and dad' - TheBlaze
Former FBI Director Louis Freeh gave $100,000 to a trust for the grandchildren of President Joe Biden, according to newly surfaced emails. The financial contribution to Biden's family allegedly happened in 2016, when Biden was vice president. The ex-FBI director reportedly sent emails to Hunter Biden expressing that Freeh would like to work "with you and dad."

We know what really happened!

Judge sides with Biden, rules that Christian college must open women’s bedrooms and showers to biological males
"A federal judge this week rejected a Christian college's request to bypass new rules under the Biden administration that force religious schools to open their dormitories — including shared bedrooms and shower spaces — to members of the opposite sex.
...The school filed a lawsuit in April arguing that the Biden administration was forcing religious schools to violate their beliefs by opening up female dormitories to biological males, and vice-versa, under subject of punitive damages, six-figure fines, and attorneys' fees.
...The directive holds that entities covered by the Fair Housing Act cannot discriminate against someone based on their sexual orientation or gender identity.
Meaning that a transgender person who is biologically male but identifies as a female must be permitted to share dormitory spaces such as bedrooms, bathrooms, and showers with female students...Read all.

PUSHBACK: Interest in Veterans Motorcycle Ride Skyrockets After Pentagon Denies Parking Permit
"During President Donald Trump’s tenure, America’s veterans were cared for better than at any time in recent memory.
...We have a new administration now — another Democratic regime — and so gone, too, are Trump’s love and respect for our men and women who served their country so selflessly in uniform.
That stark difference was laid bare earlier this spring when Biden’s Pentagon revoked a license for a major veteran’s motorcycle group to gather on on the parking lot of the Defense Department to kick off their annual ride.
Because they are vets, however, they didn’t simply roll over and take it: In fact, this year’s event promises to be bigger than ever...Read all.

Fed up with leftist politics, 5 Oregon counties vote to join Idaho - TheBlaze
The state of Oregon is literally driving residents away with its progressive policies. On Tuesday, thousands of residents from rural counties in the Beaver State voted for their elected officials to consider seceding from the state and becoming part of conservative neighbor Idaho.

A once great American city on its way to becoming "Detroit".-----Minneapolis shooting: 2 dead, 8 others injured, police say

Minneapolis shooting: 2 dead, 8 others injured, police say
"A shooting in downtown Minneapolis left two men dead and eight other people injured early Saturday, police say.
...No arrests were immediately announced, but police say there is no active threat, according to a tweet.
Police spokesperson John Elder told the Star Tribune that the shooting resulted from an argument between two men in a crowd of dozens of clubgoers.
"It's the same thing we've said over and over again, bottom line is people need to put their guns down," Elder said...
The shooting was not the only one in the city overnight.
The Star Tribune reported five people were shot and one died in separate incidents that night, bringing the city's homicide total to 31 so far in 2021...Read all.

Colorado Professor Claims That 'White Supremacy' is Causing Black People to Attack Asians
"A critical race studies and ethnic studies professor at the University of Colorado-Boulder is continuing to spread the lie that “white supremacy” is causing black people to attack Asians.
Professor Jennifer Ho wrote an article for The Conversation entitled “White supremacy is the root of all race-related violence in the US.”
According to a report from Campus Reform, the nutty professor claims that even though “Black people are also attacking Asian Americans,” White people “are the main perpetrators of anti-Asian racism.”
Ho was previously President of the Association for Asian American studies and director of the Center for Humanities and the Arts.

How Apple gives into China while pushing back against the US

How Apple gives into China while pushing back against the US
"Free-world CEOs, presidents and prime ministers are now being forced by China to make fundamental choices.
Do they stand for free speech, the rule of law and human rights — or for primarily making money?
Over the past 30 years, Western leaders have dreamed they lived in an earthly paradise where they could stand for both.
But the ruling Communist Party of China under paramount leader Xi Jinping is now making it increasingly clear that if you want to do business with his country, you’d best embrace the party line.
Take Apple.
...In 2001, Apple closed its California production lines, dismissed its American workers and moved production to China, where investment subsidies were high, wages low, and labor unions and environmental rules nonexistent.
Apple has since admitted to avoiding $41 billion in US taxes...Read all.

The incident took place just before 10 p.m. outside Sushi Fumi on North La Cienega Boulevard in the Beverly Grove neighborhood, the station said — and portions of the attack were captured on cellphone video.

A witness told KTLA she was sitting with a group of friends when the caravan displaying Palestinian flags drove by and began shouting at diners.

Sometimes a Great Notion | The Pipeline

"...In a 287 page tract  which analyzes scores of data  it notes that the plan relies on mining industries and infrastructure for “energy transition minerals”(ETMs) which do not exist:

The IEA finds that with a global energy transition like the one President Biden envisions, demand for key minerals such as lithium, graphite, nickel and rare-earth metals would explode, rising by 4,200%, 2,500%, 1,900% and 700%, respectively, by 2040.

Not only are these industries and technologies non-existent, but the lavishly funded proposed transition  provides nothing to fund and build them.

Worse news for those believing this transition will provide environmental benefits, “the world would face daunting environmental, economic and social challenges, along with geopolitical risks” if it proceeds with this plan...

Here are some of the environmental consequences of  the necessary considerable  increase in mining ETMs...Read all!

'Eco-Feminists' vs. 'Toxic' Reality | The Pipeline
  • “If civilization had been left in female hands,” wrote Camilla Paglia in her 1990 book Sexual Personae, “we would still be living in grass huts.”
Feminists have often retorted that patriarchal societies prevented women from exercising their artistic, scientific, and technological gifts—and that women’s true capabilities in these areas are still not fully known because of ongoing sexism.
...Writing from her air-conditioned room in an ivory tower designed, built, and maintained by men, intersectional feminist Kosovac believes that the days of exerting control over nature through dams, water pipelines, and sewer networks are largely over: the time has come, she writes almost mystically, “to reassess the old methods and explore new ways in our relationship with water.”
In her view, masculine over-reliance on “technological and infrastructure ‘fixes’” is preventing Australians from “work[ing] in tandem with the environment” to address the country’s water needs.
...Kosovac alleges that Australia is suffering both politically and ecologically from “toxic masculinity.”
This is a now-standard feminist phrase striking for its bigotry and intellectual incoherence...Read all.

Biden calls Coast Guard grads 'really dull' when they don't clap during his commencement address: 'C'mon man! Is the sun gettin' to ya?' - TheBlaze

President Joe Biden was up to his old tricks during his commencement address for U.S. Coast Guard graduates Wednesday, letting loose with a short-fused pointed put-down when they didn't applaud him on cue. "I can only assume that you will enjoy educating your family about how the Coast Guard is, quote, the hard nucleus around the Navy formed in times of war," Biden said during the ceremony in New London, Connecticut, which was his first commencement address as president. But when Biden's words elicited nothing but silence, he broke through the lull with one of his famous unscripted verbal punches.

And our lawyer-armed enviro-wackos!
