Whitmer Fails to Derail Recall Petitions; Court Rejects All Arguments

Whitmer Fails to Derail Recall Petitions; Court Rejects All Arguments

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D) failed to stop a series of recall petitions filed against her after the state Board of Canvassers approved them. Whitmer appealed the approval of seven petitions against her and Lieutenant Gov. Garlin Gilchrist (D), and last week, an appeals court rejected all of her arguments.

Rebranded. And condemned millions to misery!

THIS JUST KEEPS GETTING WORSE

Instapundit--THIS JUST KEEPS GETTING WORSE

"The Pentagon gave $39 MILLION to Dr. Peter Daszak’s EcoHealth Alliance – the charity that funded coronavirus research at the Wuhan lab accused of being the source of the outbreak, federal data reveals.

“...federal grant data assembled by independent researchers shows that the charity has received more than $123 million from the government – from 2017 to 2020 – and that one of its biggest funders is the Department of Defense, funneling almost $39 million to the organization since 2013. Exactly how much of that money went toward research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology is unknown.”

This whole thing seems increasingly bad, and suspicious.--Posted by

Believe the science!-----The Science Suggests a Wuhan Lab Leak - WSJ

The Science Suggests a Wuhan Lab Leak - WSJ
"...But the most compelling reason to favor the lab leak hypothesis is firmly based in science.
In particular, consider the genetic fingerprint of CoV-2, the novel coronavirus responsible for the disease Covid-19.
In gain-of-function research, a microbiologist can increase the lethality of a coronavirus enormously by splicing a special sequence into its genome at a prime location.
Doing this leaves no trace of manipulation.
But it alters the virus spike protein, rendering it easier for the virus to inject genetic material into the victim cell.
Since 1992 there have been at least 11 separate experiments adding a special sequence to the same location.
The end result has always been supercharged viruses.
...The presence of the double CGG sequence is strong evidence of gene splicing, and the absence of diversity in the public outbreak suggests gain-of-function acceleration
The scientific evidence points to the conclusion that the virus was developed in a laboratory...Read all.

...On Friday the mainstream media reported the estimated damages from the January 6 protests came out to $1.5 million.
...And, although this will NEVER make headlines in the fake news media, the January 6 protests (insurrection) caused 1/1,000th of the damages as Black Lives Matter and their Antifa supporters caused across the United States in 2020.
The media will NEVER report that!

The New Clerisy - Rough Cut

The New Clerisy - Rough Cut
"Some time during the George W. Bush presidency, Democrats began proudly calling themselves “the party of science.”
...Today, in the age of biological and ecological emergency, the Democrats’ scientific brand has taken center stage again, reflected in an assertion that has become something of a mantra: “I believe in science.” The line is recited by presidential candidates and printed on face masks
...Yet in reality...The Democratic Party has become the party not of science, but of fealty to the clerics of science.
“I believe in science” has come to mean, “I do not question expert authority,” which is as antithetical to the scientific spirit as you can get.
The more gravely the line is intoned, the more Orwellian it becomes...Read all.

'Jeopardy!' contestants displayed their ignorance of US History and viewers were upset: 'Worst showing ever.' - TheBlaze
The show aired Tuesday and was being hosted by "Big Bang Theory" actress and neuroscientist Mayim Bialik. During a round of Double Jeopardy, contestant Robin Lozano chose the "Quotations" category for $800. Bialik gave him the clue from a very famous speech. "'Government of the people, by the people, for the people' is from the end of this brief but powerful speech," she said. The seconds ticked away before the buzzer sounded without any of the contestants offering even a guess at the solution to the clue.

D-Day

"On June 6, 1944, Allied forces stormed the beaches of Normandy in northern France.
Their goal: to liberate Western Europe from Nazi tyranny.
From a distance, it might seem that victory was pre-ordained, but no one felt that way at the time.
British military historian Peter Caddick-Adams tells the incredible story of what happened on that monumental day."

Racist Bird Names Are Next on the Chopping Block

Racist Bird Names Are Next on the Chopping Block
"You would think that the Bachman’s sparrow and the Wallace’s fruit dove would be the least controversial creatures on earth.
But it’s not the birds, it’s the people they were named after that’s generating the controversy.
Alfred Russell Wallace actually has 4 other birds named in his honor — and each of them may be called something else before too long.
Wallace was a British naturalist, explorer, and anthropologist who is credited, along with Charles Darwin, of conceiving the theory of evolution through natural selection.
But his writings are apparently filled with references to the “N” word. Despite his numerous accomplishments and contributions to science, he must be canceled for the sin of thinking like most other white people at the time.
“Conservation has been driven by white patriarchy,” said J. Drew Lanham, a black ornithologist...

Washington Post:

“I am deeply troubled by the racist actions of John James Audubon and recognize how painful that legacy is for Black, Indigenous and people of color who are part of our staff, volunteers, donors and members,” [Audubon Society] interim chief executive Elizabeth Gray said in a statement in May. “Although we have begun to address this part of our history, we have a lot more to unpack.”

For [black ornithologist Corina] Newsome, community engagement manager for Georgia Audubon, the pain is real. When she first wore her organization’s work shirt, “I felt like I was wearing the name of an oppressor,” she said, “the name of someone who enslaved my ancestors.”…Read all.

1. U.S. Taxpayer Money Did Go to Controversial ‘Gain of Function’ Research
Thanks to some confusing verbal gymnastics by Dr. Anthony Fauci, some in the media are giving the impression that there’s no proof U.S. tax money funded “gain of function” research or that, perhaps, the research didn’t qualify as gain of function. However, the evidence on this point is clear cut....

Americans!-----A Gold Star Story - Captain Jenna Grassbaugh

"U.S, Army Captain Jenna Grassbaugh's husband was killed in Iraq in April 2007 while serving in the 82nd Airborne Division.
Seeking change, she left law school and went active duty.
After her own deployment to Iraq, she felt called back to her original path and enroll once again in Law School through the Army's Funded Legal Assistance Program.
After she completed her degree she was stationed back at Fort Bragg as a part of the 82nd ABN DIV Legal Assistance Team.
And like past Memorial Days since her husband made the ultimate sacrifice, she attended the 82nd Airborne Division Memorial Ceremony on May 20, 2015 during All American Week at Fort Bragg ... not only as a Gold Star Spouse ... but for the first time ... as a sponsor to another Gold Star family."

Why do black African immigrants do better than American-born blacks? | the Aspen beat

Why do black African immigrants do better than American-born blacks? | the Aspen beat
"Millions of sub-Saharan blacks seek to immigrate to America.
They apparently haven’t gotten the memo that this is a wretched land of systemic anti-black racism.
When they get here, they’re strangers in a strange land.
English is usually not their first language.
Their skin color tends to be very black, not the lighter color of American blacks who have an average of about 25% white blood in them.
Despite those handicaps, they do better than American-born blacks.
Compared to American-born blacks, their income is about a third higher, their poverty rates are significantly lower, their educational achievement is higher, and their marriage rate is double.
  • Here’s the most intriguing statistic. Although black immigrants are more successful than American-born blacks, their relative success does not get passed on to their children. Compared to the immigrant parents, their grown children work less, are impoverished more, obtain less education and are less-often married.
Why is this?...Read all!

Mark Cuban's Dallas Mavericks stopped playing the national anthem before their NBA home games in February, in what is believed to be the first professional sports team to ban "The Star-Spangled Banner" before games. Texas Republicans were dismayed that the Mavericks wouldn't play the national anthem before their games, so they hit back at Cuban where it hurts: in the purse strings.

REPORT: High-Ranking Chinese Defector Working With DIA Has 'Direct Knowledge' of China's Bioweapons Program—and It's Very Bad
"In an exclusive story at RedState, Jen Van Laar reports that sources inside the intelligence community say a high-ranking defector from China has been working for months with the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA).
According to Van Laar’s confidential sources, that high-ranking defector claims to have knowledge of special weapons programs in China—that include bioweapons.
...“Sources say DIA leadership kept the defector within their Clandestine Services network to prevent Langley and the State Department from accessing the person, whose existence was kept from other agencies because DIA leadership believes there are Chinese spies or sources inside the FBI, CIA, and several other federal agencies,” according to the report.
Why was the defector so important that he had to be kept under wraps?
Housley says it’s because the defector has information on the origins of the Wuhan virus...READ ALL!!!!!
