"Just saw where Fake Jake Tapper's CNN show has lost 75% of its audience since January.
...Probably not a real surprise, without a Republican in the White House, the audience doesn't need to be told what to be mad about every day because they swallow every WH press release as if it were real news.
- When you are living in an information society bifurcated by politics, the genetic fallacy (accepting or rejecting information based on where it comes from) is more pronounced and especially pernicious.
- I've also noticed another fallacy rising, especially when discussing things like Critical Race Theory. It is called the "normalcy bias" - if it hasn't happened to me, or I haven't heard about it, it hasn't happened at all. I've presented direct documentary evidence of teachers being indoctrinated in CRT (training materials) and students being taught it (assigned books and class syllabus) in our local schools, only to be greeted with "Well, that's not what I heard" and "I don't know any teachers who are using it in their classrooms".

12 Years to Disaster? How Climate Activists Distort the Evidence
"Many officials and climate activists claim we have only 12 years to act on global warming.
"Many officials and climate activists claim we have only 12 years to act on global warming.
Where does this figure come from?
A 2018 Special Report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).
The second sentence of that document reads, "Global warming is likely to reach 1.5 degrees C between 2030 and 2052 if it continues to increase at the current rate."
The 12-year figure comes from subtracting the year of the report, 2018, from the earliest possible date of 1.5 degrees C warming, 2030.
The problem is that this was a statement about the past, dressed up to suggest that it's about the future.
The problem is that this was a statement about the past, dressed up to suggest that it's about the future.
It's not about what will happen; it's extrapolating from what has already happened.
Actual temperatures in 2030 will depend on whether warming speeds up or slows down, and also on whether the year is warmer or colder than the long-term trend.

The president made the claim last week in a speech advocating for more gun control in the U.S. Biden was calling for an increase in background checks to prevent guns from getting in the hands of violent criminals when he made an odd digression about the Constitution.
"And I might add: The Second Amendment, from the day it was passed, limited the type of people who could own a gun and what type of weapon you could own," Biden interjected. "You couldn't buy a cannon!"

Why Was $66 Billion Spent on Renewables Before the Texas Blackouts? Because Big Wind and Big Solar Got $22 Billion in Subsidies | RealClearEnergy
- The oldest maxim in politics is “follow the money.” That maxim also applies to electric grids.
On Monday, ERCOT, the state’s troubled grid operator, asked Texans to reduce their electricity use.
That request came exactly four months after Texas residents were asked to conserve electricity due to a massive winter storm.
Before going further, I’ll give you the punchline: As I explained in these pages in April, about $66 billion was spent on wind and solar in Texas in the years before the deadly February storm that left millions of Texans without electricity.

In return for that $66 billion, the wind and solar sectors collected about $21.7 billion in local, state, and federal subsidies and incentives.
...Thus for every dollar spent by the wind and solar sectors in Texas, they got roughly 33 cents from taxpayers.

According to the ruling, the number of verified COVID-19 deaths from January 2020 to April 2021 is only 152, not about 17,000 as claimed by government ministries.

"Two inexorable energy trends are underway in California: soaring electricity prices and ever-worsening reliability – and both trends bode ill for the state’s low- and middle-income consumers.
Last week, the state’s grid operator, the California Independent System Operator, issued a “flex alert” that asked the state’s consumers to reduce their power use “to reduce stress on the grid and avoid power outages.”

Woman Confronts Spa After Man Exposes Himself in Locker Room - Louder With Crowder:
Progressives hate women. They pretended not to when the former president was grabbing people in the no-no area and there were pink crocheted hats to sell. Then leftists found a more better marginalized group to pander to: biological men who identify as women. As biological women who identify as women see opportunity after opportunity taken from them, they're told by the left to shut up and calm down about it. They're also told to shut up and calm down when they see someone's penis flapping around in the women's locker room.
At least, that's what allegedly happened in this video. The woman was pissed. As you can imagine. When you're in a women's locker room, a wiener is the last thing you'd expect to see.

Goodrich councilwoman shouldn’t have been allowed on ballot, Michigan Court of Appeals rules
GOODRICH, MI -- Sherry Ann Moore isn’t losing her seat on the Goodrich Village Council, but the Michigan Court of Appeals says she should never have been allowed to run for the job in first place.
In a published opinion Thursday, June 24, the Appeals Court said Genesee Circuit Court Judge Mark W. Latchana erred when he issued a writ of mandamus, ordering the Genesee County Election Commission to allow Moore to amend required paperwork she filed to appear on the ballot after the deadline for making such changes had passed in 2020...Read all!

Have them explain if they feel bad at all over what they're putting students like this brave girl through. Force them to have to explain what education value these various examples of rebranded Marxism they want to indoctrinate student with have.

Pinkerton: Ron DeSantis Shows Republicans How to Win by Fighting for Americanism Against Wokeism:
On June 22, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed into law three bills to strengthen civics education in the Sunshine State. As De Santis said at the signing ceremony, “The sad reality is that only two in five Americans can correctly name the three branches of government, and more than a third of Americans cannot name any of the rights guaranteed by the First Amendment.” And so, he concluded, “It is abundantly clear that we need to do a much better job of educating our students in civics to prepare them for the rest of their lives.”

- CNN, MSNBC and the legacy print media will look for some way to pin the building collapse on DeSantis since he is from the wrong party and could run against their favorite party in three years. If they can’t find a plausible way to pin the collapse directly on him, they will try the next best thing. They will declare that Florida, like all Republican states, does far too little to protect public safety. This building collapse, they will say, is just another example. ‘That’s the real scandal here.’
